It started with the thread of a small communication gap between father and son. Then the idea of making girl stay in boy's place for seven days. And the rolling titles. After that I did not give a serious thought about developing this story idea into a script. But Sukumar had always been reminding me to develop this story idea. I told him that some flavor was missing. Later on I decided on the characterization of heroine. The heroine's characterization excited me a lot. Vasu (co-director of VV Vinayak) helped me a lot with this script as Sukumar is busy with another film. Myself and Vasu developed the first version of the script and narrated it to Dil Raju. It excited him Allu Arjun was the first choice for the movie but it didn't work out Genelia was cast after seeing the rushes of Happy movie Climax was shot in a single take in 45 minutes and the team set the mood for the day for making sure there was pin drop silence on set and they started filming at 3:30 PM that day. Bhaskar said his hands were shaking and tears came from his eyes when seeing the monitor. Didn't even say cut and just walked out of the room in emotion Sathi oka Manchi panodu character was created by Abburi Ravi actually Filmed in 108 working days Bhaskar decided on the gown for Genelia's wardrobe. When it comes to Siddharth we concentrated mostly on striped and checked shirts. We gave him checked shirts when he was in a dilemma and striped shirts when he was confident. Filmed on Arri 435 with Hawk Lenses Budget was 6 crores, it made 25 crores share and was a blockbuster. Made 3.5 crores ($525,000) at the USA box office and was the highest all time grosser at the time beating Pokiri which made 2.5 crores ($375,000)

While the anniversaries - 10th, 25th or 30th - of many films were celebrated this year, one title probably got ignored by a large section of the media. Balu Mahendra's Sathi Leelavathi released 25 years ago. It had Kalpana, Ramesh Arvind and Heera Rajagopal in the lead with cameos - more like star attractions - from Kamal Haasan and Kovai Sarala. We thought of revisiting this very funny film that deals with a serious issue and reevaluate what works and what doesn't. Max and Anantha are joined by Suman Kumar and Jestme. Jestme is a returning guest of our podcast. Suman wears multiple hats. He is a novelist, stand up comedian and screen writer. He co-writes the Amazon Prime web series The Family Man.

Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2020.09.01.278556v1?rss=1 Authors: Taylor, W. W., Imhoff, B. R., Sathi, Z. S., Garza, K. M., Dias, B. G. Abstract: Dysfunctions in memory recall lead to pathological fear; a hallmark of trauma-related disorders, like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Heightened recall of an association between a cue and trauma, as well as impoverished recall that a previously trauma-related cue is no longer a threat both result in a debilitating fear toward the cue. Glucocorticoid-mediated action via the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) influences memory recall. This literature has primarily focused on GRs expressed in neurons or ignored cell-type specific contributions. To ask how GR action in non-neuronal cells influences memory recall, we combined auditory fear conditioning in mice and the knockout of GRs in astrocytes in the prefrontal cortex (PFC), a brain region implicated in memory recall. We found that GRs in astrocytes in the PFC calibrate recall in female but not male mice. Specifically, we found that knocking out GRs in astrocytes in the PFC of female mice (AstroGRKO) after fear conditioning resulted in higher recall of fear to the CS+ tone when compared to controls (AstroGRintact). While we did not find any differences in extinction of fear toward the CS+ between these groups, AstroGRKO female mice showed impaired recall of extinction training. We did not observe any significant results in male mice. These results suggest a sex-specific calibration of memory recall by GRs in astrocytes in the PFC. These data demonstrate the need to examine GR action in cortical astrocytes to elucidate the basic neurobiology underlying memory recall and potential mechanisms that underlie female-specific biases in the incidence of PTSD. Through this poetry, I have tried to explain why we have the idea of a spouse that we need a loving life partner. Why don't we say that we need a true life partner because if the life partner is true then we will surely love.
India has never spent more than 2% of its GDP on healthcare. And healthcare facilities across the country straddle several levels of efficiency and sufficiency. The infrastructure facilities and services are at best patchy. While States such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu fare better, the impact of a virulent COVID-19 has shaken even the States that traditionally have done well. With COVID-19 having put the country's heathcare system to the test, Dr. Abhay Shukla, national convener of the Jan Swasthya Abhiyan and Senior Program Coordinator of Sathi; and Prof. T. Sundararaman, former executive director, National Health Systems Resource Center, and global co-ordinator of the People's Health Movement discuss whether the time is ripe to push the agenda of healthcare as a fundamental right for all citizens. Presented by Sathi at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on February 25, 2019. Sathi explains three different approaches to the human reactions **duka** (pain) and **suka** (comfort). These are Sanskrit terms describing how our mind reacts. Sathi examines these terms first by looking from a materialistic point of view. Ordinary people think that if they have more things, money, or power, they will be happy. Four efforts that make up life on a basic level: Obtaining comfort. Maintaining our comfort. Removing discomfort. Avoid future discomfort Next, Sathi explores the level that most major religions promote. By having compassion and generosity we can experience a release from pain or discomfort. Giving makes us feel good. Finally, the third level of these terms is explained based on Buddha's observations. Comfort and discomfort are simply reactions to our cravings. They are neither good or bad, just reactions. (One person's pain can be another person's pleasure.). By having these unrecognized cravings we can be manipulated by outside influences. Through meditation and being mindful, we can recognize and observe these cravings (like recognizing the weeds in our garden) and let the cravings go. This frees us from being driven by internal or external influences.
