We chat with the founder of Japon Brand, Takerube Nobuaki, noted designer Seiji Kanai and translator Simon Lundstrom about Hanafuda, a classic Japanese card game. Hanafuda has a fascinating history including Portuguese missionaries, gambling and Nintendo.

We review five games, each in about five minutes. The first two are card games with only sixteen cards. Love Letter by Seiji Kanai and Lost Legacy: The Starship by Seiji Kanai and Hayato Kisaragi. The last three games are push your luck. Zombie Dice by Steve Jackson and Martian Dice by Scott Almes. Lastly, the best game of them all, Can't Stop by Sid Sackson.
