In this week's episode, Dutch and Tena breakdown the Trump card and how it relates to the great reset. The collapse is coming whether people want to accept it or not. The 1985 illuminati card game created by occultist Steve Jackson "predicts" future world events such 9/11, cloning, protests, artificial intelligence, and more. We discuss some of the depictions of these cards and what Trump has done so far this year. Many believe the Charismatic Leader represents Donald Trump. 2025 is the ultimate turning point towards the 2030 agenda. Why not buy a board game from our sponsors Kienda: kienda.co.uk/polyhedroncollider In Episode 170 of the Polyhedron Collider Cast, we dive into three very different games that prove once again how gloriously diverse the tabletop hobby can be, from classic fantasy adventures that make Steve feel old, to courtly power plays and master-crafted violins. First we step into the dark, nostalgic world of Fighting Fantasy Adventures, the classic adventure books reimagined as a co-op board game by legendary designer Martin Wallace. Can this tabletop take on the iconic solo gamebooks capture the magic and mayhem? We roll the dice and try not to die (spoiler: we died). Take the Throne is a fast-paced, strategic bluffing game that is heading to Kickstarter soon, and we've got an early look. With bluffing, tactical positioning, and a tight rule set, Take the Throne might just be your next favourite lunch-break skirmish. Finally, we fine-tune our skills in Luthier, a gorgeous and deeply thematic euro-game of crafting musical instruments for royalty, rich patrons and prestige. With its unique mechanics and stunning presentation, it struck a chord with us!

Send us a textLet's Make a GameWhen I first got into this hobby it was all about the game for me. The rules, the books, the miniatures, the dice, and of course the adventure.Like most people once I settled on my game of choice…GURPS of course. I couldn't get enough. GURPS 3rd Edition seemed to come out with a new sourcebook every month and my bulging bookshelf can attest to how many of those things I bought. I played the games and I loved the games, but I never thought about making the games. Then one day I saw on Illuminati Online, Steve Jackson games website, that they were taking submissions for a new source book. GURPS COPS.Perfect.Well, I had to throw my hat into the ring.It was my first attempt at writing and there is a reason you have never read a published book from me. (side note: I have published a fair number of professional articles for books and magazines since then, but that was definitely filled with first timer mistakes). The process changed me.Prior to that I never even thought of creating my own thing. But since then, that's all I do. Homebrew rules, homebrew characters, and homebrew worldbuilding. But I am far from a game designer. And then I met Christina and Mike. The real game designers.Between the two of them they have a half dozen published games and based on the conversations I get to overhear there are more on the horizon.Recently we discussed IPs that should be made into roleplaying games and the more I thought about it the more I thought it would be an interesting look behind the scenes of game design. So, for this episode Mike, Christina and I are going to design a game. And that game is the Godzilla Roleplaying Game.In full discloser I didn't just now surprise Mike and Christina with this topic although I was sorely tempted. I gave them a heads up it was coming last week, so they have had a week to let the idea percolate. With that said, where do we start Mike?
Has the hammer finally fallen for the Duck? Was Donald Longs prediction for Round 1 pairing with Kye Kelley and Steve Jackson the greatest marketing disaster for his own brand? It is a massive episode.
Another great game from designer Steve Jackson. I love this game. In zombie dice you are a zombie trying to eat brains. My family takes this game of trips to play before bed. My sister wanted to play “The brain game”, we had no idea what she was talking about so we asked her to go get it. Then she brought in this game. It is based on a push your luck mechanic, and this game is simple enough a 5 year old can play it, but adults can also enjoy it.So, gather your horde, sit down, and try to be the first to eat thirteen brains with Zombie Dice.
John Peake co-founded Games Workshop in 1975 with his school- and flat-mates Steve Jackson and Sir Ian Livingstone. Together they would sell John's handmade wooden games, publish Owl & Weasel fanzine, and battle to keep the company afloat in its first year.Everything culminated in the first ever Games Day, followed shortly thereafter by John's decision to leave the company as it pivoted towards Dungeons & Dragons and the emerging roleplaying boom. This is John's own account of the events that led to the founding of Games Workshop - a voice that has long been missing from the official record of events. NOTE: At the 07:15 mark John mistakenly refers to the date as August '74, this should in fact be August '72._____________________________ [ ELEMENT GAMES AFFILIATE LINK ]https://elementgames.co.uk/?d=11216[ PATREON ]https://www.patreon.com/jordansorcery[ KO-FI ]https://ko-fi.com/jordansorcery[ YOUTUBE CHANNELS ]History & Editorial: https://youtube.com/ @jordansorceryLongform Conversation: https://youtube.com/ @JordanSorceryPods [ WEBSITE ]https://jordansorcery.com/#GamesWorkshop #tabletop #boardgames #RPG #wargames_____________________________ Art, Music, and Copyright: Images used belong to their respective copyright owners Jordan Sorcery Theme by Joylin Music Jordan Sorcery Heraldry by Becka Moor Jordan Sorcery Heraldry and Theme copyright @jordansorcerySupport the show
Author and former Games Workshop board member Peter Darvill-Evans in conversation with Jordan Sorcery.Games Workshop and White Dwarf have a long history dating back to days before Warhammer Fantasy even existed. Under the tenure of co-founders Steve Jackson and Sir Ian Livingstone GW was the European importer of the new roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons, the UK publisher of multiple RPGs from companies like Chaosium, and the retailer for all manner of tabletop games and distractions. By the mid-80s the founders would leave to concentrate on gamebook adventures for Fighting Fantasy, whilst a boardroom battle determined the order of succession and the shift for Games Workshop from selling everyone's games, to focusing on their own creations manufactured in Nottingham. My guest today joined Games Workshop in those early days, working in the first retail store before managing the entire retail operation. He contributed to White Dwarf, played in Ian & Steve's band, wrote some Fighting Fantasy adventures of his own, created the Dr Who RPG and published many Dr Who books, and he was even a member of the board during that stressful succession.Peter-Darvill Evans interview._____________________________ PETER'S LINKS:[PETER DARVILL-EVANS WEBSITE]https://peterdarvillevans.com/_____________________________ JORDAN'S LINKS:[ ELEMENT GAMES AFFILIATE LINK ]https://elementgames.co.uk/?d=11216[ PATREON ]https://www.patreon.com/jordansorcery[ KO-FI ]https://ko-fi.com/jordansorcery[ YOUTUBE CHANNELS ]History & Editorial: https://youtube.com/ @jordansorceryLongform Conversation: https://youtube.com/ @JordanSorceryPods [ WEBSITE ]https://jordansorcery.com/#GamesWorkshop #FightingFantasy #WhiteDwarf #DrWho #tabletop #boardgames #RPG #wargames_____________________________ Art, Music, and Copyright: Images used belong to their respective copyright owners Jordan Sorcery Theme by Joylin Music Jordan Sorcery Heraldry by Becka Moor Jordan Sorcery Heraldry and Theme copyright @jordansorceryTiny Bar ChatsChats with influential, inspiring, prolific and community oriented folks.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the show
I remember opening up “Keep on the Borderlands” the first module I ever ran. It came in the D&D Basic Set and I thought it was very cool. The players started out in a keep, a perfect base of operations. It had a tavern, a blacksmith, a provisioner, and a chapel. Everything a growing adventuring party needs. From there the players would travel to the Caves of Chaos and explore underground lairs of beasts an monsters. You know, the dungeons of dungeons and dragons. To be fair I don't really remember much about those first games I ran. I remember the feeling of running them and how much fun I had, but I don't remember the details. As a game master I quickly moved away from the Modules and started doing my own thing. I would read modules, but then always felt like I had a better idea. So, I tended to do my own thing.Fast forward several years and I was playing more GURPS. Steve Jackson's Generic Universal Roleplaying System. That system was well known for its source books that help you world build, but had few written modules. That was perfect for me.After decades of making up my own adventures I decided that I wanted to run some of those talked about modules and, being a huge fan of Traveller decided our groups next game would be Pirates of Drinax (listen to our series The Anatomy of a Campaign for details on that one).I hated it.Ok, I didn't hate the idea or setting, but as a game master I hated being tied to the books, trying to make incidents and events happen that I was unfamiliar with, no matter how much reading I did. And of course, with every player question I found myself diving into the books and spending far to much time trying to find the answers.I should have learned my lesson. But I didn't. After Pirates I decided to take on an even bigger challenge with Masks of Nyarlathotep. And 30 episodes in, I am having a miserable time (please don't tell my players that)Personally, I like to make it up as I go.But that's just my opinion. Some people love pre-written modules. Other's prefer sandbox worlds and settings and still others enjoy the Western Marches style…oh, is that a new one for you. Don't worry we will cover that.In this episode Mike, Christina and I are going to talk about the type of campaigns. What's good, What's bad, and why?

Sir Ian Livingstone is a real knight, known as the “Knight of the Nerds”. Never has a moniker been more apt. Ian and his partner Steve Jackson were early fanatics of various complex strategy games. The Illuminati Card game by Steve Jackson stirs up the conspiracy theories when the cards seem to hit almost exact to details of real life events. The cards were meant for tongue-in-cheek depiction of conspiracy theories with the infamous Illuminati in mind based on likeyl scenarios that would happen under this devious group. But once in a while they coincidentally hit exact. But is it coincidence?
We unpack one of the biggest conspiracies we've ever lived through: the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump! We'll cover what officially happened, discuss the confusion about the shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks and his odd symbolism/synchromysticism with Stanford, Blackrock and Aleister Crowley! We'll dive into the occult symbolism and conspiracies: the high profile death and rebirth initiation ritual of Trump into the Brotherhood of Death, Trump's Antichrist symbolism from the Book of Revelation, Trump's WWE Babyface conversion, if the event was staged with perfect photo ops, the secret service fumbling so hard, and more! We'll get into the WEIRD synchronicities of the event: Illuminati card game by Steve Jackson, a Steam video game called Mr President, Taxi Driver, Astrological alignments of Mars & Uranus Chaos Conjunction, Bohemian Grove's Cremation of Care ceremony, the Republican National Convention (RNC) SATANIC Freemason symbolism, the Pastor Brandon Biggs supposed "prophecy" (*I watched the whole video- not just the 10 second clip), Civil War film, Q Anon's "JFK Jr" Vince Fusca, 9/11 Occult Magick IX & XI, and Alex Jones predictions. Steve Jackson and his company Steve Jackson Games have been at the heart of the tabletop industry since its earliest days. At Metagaming Concepts Jackson pioneered the micro-game, an efficient multiplayer gaming experience like OGRE that fit in a small polythene bag. After founding his own company Jackson went on to develop classics like Car Wars, Illuminati, and GURPS - the Generic Universal Roleplaying System that could be used to simulate RPG games in any setting or style. With games like Munchkin SJ Games has remained a relevant force in the gaming market place to this day.Steve Jackson even cross the Atlantic to work with Steve Jackson (and Ian Livingstone) to pen a few Fighting Fantasy game books. We talk about a prestigious career in the table top industry, how he got started, some of his finest works, and where things go next.Steve Jackson in conversation with Jordan Sorcery.Steve's Links:[Steve Jackson Games]https://www.sjgames.com/Jordan's Links: PATREON:https://www.patreon.com/jordansorceryDOWNLOAD MY FANTASY BATTLE SCENARIO DEAD KING WENCESLAS:https://jordansorcery.itch.io/dead-king-wenceslasELEMENT GAMES AFFILIATE LINK:https://elementgames.co.uk/?d=11216KO-FI:https://ko-fi.com/jordansorceryINSTAGRAM:https://www.instagram.com/jordansorcery/ BLUESKY:https://bsky.app/profile/jordansorcery.bsky.social WEBSITE:https://jordansorcery.com/DISCORD:My Discord is now open to exclusively to Patreon supporters & by invitation only
On this week's episode we discuss wildly prolific and conspiratorially provocative Steve Jackson game “Illuminati” which, despite its creation in 1975 continues to predict future events with uncanny accuracy. Often appearing without explanation on anonymous image boards and social media posts, the Illuminati card game has been a staple of the online paranormal and conspiracy community for decades. In the first half of the show we finally get to the bottom of how the cards were created and the government's illegal attempt to sabotage the game in the wake of its commercial success. In the extended version of the show we continue our tour of the most provocative and disturbing predictions the card game portrays in its artwork before exploring the occult mechanism behind how it happened in the first place. In 1994, game designed Steve Jackson released a card game titled "Illuminati: New World Order", a game where players would role play as puppet-master organizations fighting for world domination. Sounds fun, right? Well things took a paranormal turn when years later, players realised that those cards from the 90's were giving away information on actual real life events… from the future.Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTubeJoin our Secret Society Facebook CommunitySupport us on Patreon.com/ThisParanormalLife to get access to weekly bonus episodes!Buy Official TPL Merch! - thisparanormallife.com/storeIntro music by www.purple-planet.comEdited by Philip Shacklady Hosted on Acast. It is Super Bowl week, and Denard Walker reflects on how he navigated the myriad media responsibilities he and the rest of the Tennessee Titans faced ahead of their meeting with the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV. ... The prevailing wisdom among this panel is that the Kansas City Chiefs look like the team to beat this week because of A) the continued greatness of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and B) a better defense than they have had in other recent championship seasons. ... The Titans' new offensive coordinator Nick Holz, who does not have a lengthy professional résumé but who goes back a long way with coach Brian Callahan -- all the way to high school, in fact. ... Holz won't be the play-caller on offense, but his history suggests he can make a significant impact even if he does not perform high-profile duties. ... One reported member of the new coaching staff is former Titants defense back Steve Jackson, who was an important -- if not omnipresent -- member of the franchise's 1999 Super Bowl team. Like Holz, Jackson has some personal history with Callahan, albeit their connection only goes back a few years when they were assistant coaches with the Cincinnati Bengals. ... Former Titans coach Mike Vrabel still has not found a job, and one report in recent days offers a bizarre and tough-to-believe reason for why that is. As of now, it seems that Vrabel will end up with -- in some capacity -- his best friend as a part of a high-profile college football program.
Hurler at Carowinds is getting RMC'd. Pause for gasp. But not quite in the way you're thinking those letters typically represent, where Rocky Mountain Construction is involved. Instead, Hurler is receiving Routine Maintenance by Carowinds. This week on the podcast, we're joined by Steve Jackson, Carowinds' Director of Maintenance and Construction, for a first-hand look at Hurler's reconstruction, which Carowinds is doing in-house – and according to Steve, one of the few parks out there with an in-house team capable of re-construction and re-profiling of a wooden coaster like Hurler. We learn a little history about the land itself, the process of reconstruction and reprofiling, the importance of having a classic wooden roller coaster, and generally just nerd out for about 20 minutes with Steve. Coal Country Killing: A Culture, A Union, And The Murders That Changed It All, revolves around the cold-blooded 1969 assassination of United Mineworkers of America “reform candidate” Jock Yablonski, and murder of his wife and daughter in their Pennsylvania farmhouse. But driving the story are the extraordinary efforts of a tenacious special prosecutor and his “army” of investigators to bring the gunmen, the union boss who ordered the murders, and his henchmen who saw them carried out, to justice.Initially, three bumbling small-time criminals, dubbed “The Hillbilly Hitmen,” were arrested and charged. But they were the tip of the iceberg as the murders were directed by then-UMWA President “Tough Tony” Boyle as revenge for Yablonski running against him in the bitterly contested 1968 union election and to prevent his corruption from being exposed.Up against the tight-lipped culture of Appalachia coal country, legendary Philadelphia homicide prosecutor Richard A. Sprague, and his investigators, spent nearly nine years doggedly working their way up the ladder of those responsible to the final showdown with Boyle.Written by New York Times bestselling authors—former New York County Assistant District Attorney Robert K. Tanenbaum, a lifelong friend of Sprague's, and Steve Jackson—Coal Country Killing is a tour de force for those who love justice.
