Die Hosts Manuel Fritsch und Stefan Ducksch unternehmen im spielboxcast 29 eine kleine Zeitreise. 1995 wurde in Frankreich von ein paar Spielebegeisterten der Verlag Asmodée gegründet. Heute ist er – mittlerweile ohne den Accent – eines der weltweit führenden Unternehmen für Brett- und Kartenspiele, das in über 20 Ländern operiert. Udo Fischer, Geschäftsführer von Asmodee Deutschland, nimmt als Gesprächspartner in dieser Podcastfolge mit auf eine Reise durch die Jahre, die in Deutschland erst im Jahr 2008 begann. Im Gespräch geht es aber nicht nur um die Historie, sondern auch um den aktuellen Stand: Asmodee hat allein am Standort Essen in Deutschland über 250 Mitarbeitende. Der Konzern wird mittlerweile an der Börse gehandelt. Die Hosts des spielboxcasts wollen auch deshalb von Udo Fischer wissen, wie es um die Selbständigkeit der deutschen Niederlassung bestellt ist. Mia Goth is the latest actor shedding a bit of light on the long-shelved Blade movie from Marvel Studios. In an interview with Elle, promoting her upcoming appearance in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, Goth shared only that she is still attached to the film and commented that “It's for the best that it's taken the time it has. They want to do it right.” This is in line with Kevin Feige's comments this summer that the film is still moving forward.In an interview with the AP this week, Adam Driver dropped some major information about the Ben Solo movie in Star Wars that never was. Driver explained that Lucasfilm was interested in continuing his character's story in a film that had a script written by Steven Soderbergh. The first time I covered this massive board game event was back in 2018. It was well-established at the Birmingham NEC by then, sprawling across halls 1, 2, 3 and 3A.
