TwoOhSix.com presents the first ever TwoOhSix Podcast Series, Diversity in Film: Conversations from Within the Industry. Amie Simon and I have been crossing paths in the Seattle film scene for several years especially during the Seattle International Film Festival as well as working together through Smarthouse Creative, the PR firm she currently works for. Amie is also a contributor for Three Imaginary Girls and I Love Splatter and her extensive knowledge of the film industry made for some great conversation as we were able to cover a wide variety of topics. Diversity in Film: Conversations from Within the Industry is hosted by TwoOhSix.com founder Marc Morin and features conversations with actors, directors, producers, film critics and more all discussing their thoughts on diversity in an industry that has been in need of some new perspectives and fresh voices. The podcast series launches on Monday, May 11th and will continue weekly with new episodes released every Monday.
For almost four years, Amie spent her days talking with fellow fans about ALL THE POP CULTURE things, making awesome community connections and nerding the F out over all the amazing stuff inside a freaky cool museum. Now she’s taking her knowledge of campaigns, taglines, brand voice, social media, community building, targeted ads, and #squadgoals and applying it to amazing projects at Smarthouse Creative as the Director of Marketing. She also gets to do great things like write about film and music, and occasionally interview some of her cinematic heroes over at ThreeImaginaryGirls.com. If there’s one thing she’s learned from this long journey to leading a (mostly) charmed life, it’s this: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/diane-winbush/support

We also hear from Universal Pictures Chairman Donna Langley and 20th Century Fox co-chairman Stacey Snider, in excerpts from Hollywood Reporter's studio executive roundtable; and Sheryl Sandberg in a clip from the TED Radio Hour has some poignant commentary as well.Oh, and I contribute a few halfway-decent comments now and then too. :)Support our SponsorWe're supported in part by Song Freedom.
