In this episode, host Olawunmi Brigue interviews Oyindamola Sosanya, head of change management in the UK. Growing up in Nigeria with a passion for reading and debate, Oyindamola initially planned to study law but ended up pursuing a degree in English due to unexpected academic barriers. This, in hindsight, turned out to be a serendipitous push in the right direction. The interview delves into Oyindamola's unique career path, tracing her journey from a chatty Nigerian child "destined" for law to a senior change management leader. It highlights the challenges, setbacks, and fortuitous events that shaped her career. Key themes explored include the significance of adaptability, curiosity, mentorship, and following one's passions, even in the face of societal and familial pressure. 00:00 Welcome and Introduction 01:07 Early Career Aspirations and Setbacks 03:29 Pursuing a Degree in English 14:20 First Job 19:18 Moving to the UK 26:30 Navigating Maternity Leave and Career Path Decisions 27:56 Facing Redundancy and Career Crossroads 29:22 Taking Time Out and Self-Reflection 30:21 Re-entering the Workforce 31:26 Finding Support and Mentorship 32:07 Starting a New Career 34:26 Rising to Senior Leadership 41:43 Challenges and Opportunities in Change Management 47:04 Reflecting on Personal Growth and Future Goals

Tonight we are talking about Cruising for love in 2015. Where should we go together to find love? What is the best month to take the trip? Who wants to take the trip? What events should be included in the schedule? How do we start to plan our getaway? I seriously need a holiday with my Global Dating Crew, who wants to join me? On a cruise you don't have to stay on the ship. You can go rock-climbing, zip-lining, bowling, roller-blading, simulated surfing, ice skating, goofy golf, video games, first-run movies, wine tastings, live Broadway shows, live music, disco dancing and more. Once you get to ports of call you can add in SCUBA, snorkeling, water skiing, horseback riding, hiking and of course sightseeing and shopping. A cruise is also a great time to chill out and it also offers plenty of relaxation time in your private stateroom, with a balcony in most cases, to read, watch movies and take a long bath and nap. You can also get spa treatments, work out in the fitness centers, read in the library, take classes in cooking, lifestyle, arts, computer tips, music, languages and more. If you are a party person there are parties almost every night with a variety of music from different genres. On a cruise you may even find the Man or Woman of your dreams....Whatever the outcome we will have an amazing experience!!! Get ready to have a conversation about cruises and events in 2015. Who wants to get on Ebony's Love Boat? Let's talk about it!! 3479457556
