This South Florida native shares how her global experiences, both studying abroad in Florence, Italy and volunteering in the Peace Corps in Thailand, as well as many years caring for countless abused and neglected children as a Licensed Social Worker, helped shape her Parenting Style and shift her Perspective on Life. She discusses how a special moment in her early twenties, while alone in a quiet teak house in Thailand, shifted her perspective and conscious awareness. She also shares the importance of teaching her children to "Be Your Own Best Cheerleader" because ultimately “Your voice has to be the most positive, the most loving, the most kind… b/c it’s the one that you hear all the time." We discuss Bok Tower & Gardens, making the world a better place, and the Little Library Movement and how her love of gardens and libraries led her (with the help of her family) to create a Little Library in their own neighborhood community.
