Other topics covered include Sam Jackson, plural terms for select apparel, & clothed swimmers. Cheers!

Please welcome to the pod Daniel's incredible wife and long overdue guest producer, Kristen King! We work through the interesting and always applicable classic, The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. There is a lot to unpack and also shout about, so we have quality brews from Cheboygan Brewing Company keeping us company. Part 1 of 2, so Cheers & Salud!
Grover... is... BACK! This time in 1976's Hide & Seek Sesame Street, another book by Jon Stone. A 4th wall breaking, & scandalously choreographed "spread" (?) complemented by Deez Nutz from Beards Brewery in Petoskey. Everything is vaguely sexual, cheers!

In 1982's The Going To Bed Book by Sandra Boynton, we see what going to bed was like before needing YouTube or episodes of New Girl to assist. Weezin' The Juice IPA from Grand Armory Brewery helps us figure out the sleep rituals on this animal cruise (?), which may or may not be a "Fat Camp." Cheers!

PSA, my friends: Dogs CAN feel shame... they can also fart. People relating the two is the REAL problem. Let's talk about it over more brews from MiddleCoast Brewing Company. We also cover Hide & Seek in grocery stores, Rihanna’s forehead, how to pronounce “Arkansas”. Cheers!

On this episode we read the timely title of 1971’s Mr. Sneeze by Roger Hargreaves. All while enjoying (and spilling?) beers from our friends at MiddleCoast Brewing Company. Topics that occur include: sudden jalapeno poppers, magical visas for wizards, and redacted bible verses. Cheers!
We rediscover Bell's Brewery and try out this year's Hopslam, their famous double IPA. Then it's questioning an illustrator's use of substances and possible allegories for death in The Monster at the end of this Book by Jon Stone and illustrated by Mike Smollin (of who we have some questions). Special note: we are joined by special guest and friend of the show Brandon Melchert!
We check out Saugatuck Brewing Company and take more than a few sips of their Neapolitan Milk Stout. Then it's Coogi sweater blankets, a very famous monk and even a couple musical numbers in the new classic Llama Llama Red Pajama, written and illustrated by Anna Dewdney.
We take a look into Arcadia Ales and their double IPA, Hopmouth. Then it's seductive sweet potatoes, runaway must-haves and the redemptive power of church youth groups in the classic children's book I Was So Mad by author and illustrator Mercer Mayer.
We explore Eel River Brewing Company and sample their California Blonde Ale. Then it's ghost bunnies, robot cyborg bears and moon people in the classic children's book Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrations by Clement Hurd.
On our pilot episode we review Ballast Point's fantastic hazy IPA, Aloha Sculpin. Then it's orphans, portion control and negative body images as we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by American author and illustrator Eric Carle.
