Ali Hearn is a national speaker, trainer, and coach focussed on PBIS and MTSS. Special guest host Kelly Morrissey joined Ken and Jill to talk with Ali about the challenges of implementing multi-tiered systems of support in schools, the benefits they can provide students, and their interface with coaching.

Jenni Donohoo is the Director of the Collective Efficacy Institute and the author of Quality Implementation, Collective Efficacy, and The Transformative Power of Collaborative Inquiry. Ken and Jill speak with her about the concept of collective efficacy and how it can help power change within schools. But first, Greg and Jill talk through the origin and mission of the CCC and where it's headed next. 

Joellen Killion is a Senior Advisor with Learning Forward and the author of many essential texts in the Instructional Coaching world, including The Feedback Process, Coaching Matters, and Taking the Lead among others. Ken and Jill talk with her about the development of instructional coaching, how to assess the impact of coaching and the vital role the coach plays in today's schools.  

Tom Guskey is Professor Emeritus in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky and the author/editor of over 25 books and countless chapter, articles and professional papers on educational measurement, evaluation, assessment, grading, and professional learning. Ken and Jill talk with him about the role of assessment and grading in our practice and how it intersects with professional learning and coaching.

Yong Zhao is a Foundation Distinguished Professor in the School of Education at the University of Kansas, as well as the author of numerous books and scholarly articles in the field of education. Ken and Jill talk with him about overcoming obstacles and innovating in the world of learning and school.

Jane Kise is the author of Differentiated Coaching, a key text in our Level Two Coaching Certification. Jill talked with her about how differences and polarities can help drive our coaching conversations and produce the best outcomes for students.

Back from their hiatus, Ken and Jill discuss the Chicago Coaching Center's plans for 2019. Although there have been some changes, you can count on great guests for the podcast and new professional development offerings in the new year.

Dr. Hank Thiele is the Superintendent of Community High School District 99 (Downers Grove, IL). He has been an educational technology leader for decades, and as Assistant Superintendent, led Maine Township to be among the first to adopt Google Apps for Education. As Superintendent of District 99, he has inherited a strong tradition of coaching, and has been providing leadership and support to one of the top districts in the state. Adam had the opportunity to pick the brains of the Maine 207 literacy specialists. Jenny Gustavson, Mecca Sadler, and Juliana Cucci describe their work in building a 21st century literacy support program. Dr. Timothy Dohrer has been a high school teacher, a high school administrator, and university professor. Tim is currently working with pre-service students at Northwestern University's School of Education and Policy. He shares his insights and wisdom with Ken and Adam in their sit-down in CCCHQ.

Mike Biondo describes his 10 years as an instructional coach and what he has learned along the way. Mike also tells Ken and Adam about the action research project that he has been leading in District 207.

Dr. Jim Knight of the Instructional Coaching Group took the time to sit down with Ken and Adam to share his insights into the origins of his work with coaching, the latest in coaching research, and what the future holds. Aside from adding to our ever-growing reading list, Dr. Knight provided the depth of analysis that has made him one of the leaders of Instructional Coaching!

Kim Jablonski is the new Career & Technical Education Chair at Downers Grove North High School. She had previously served in the same role at Maine Township, after having been a lead teacher and instructional coach. Kim talks to Adam and Ken about the ins and outs of having coaching conversations with teachers as an administrator, the need for administrative coaching, and the many roles that she has to fill simultaneously!  

Ben Collins, principal of Maine South High School, has been working to develop instructional coaching at the administrative level. He draws on the lessons that he has learned from coaches working with teachers, and is implementing his model at the building and district level. Adam and Ken chime in!

Adam Roubitchek talks with Diane Sweeney about Student-Centered Coaching and using evidence to guide teachers through change. Adam and Diane spoke just before she gave the keynote at the 2017 Illinois Council of Instructional Coaching Annual Conference.
