The gospel of Jesus Christ is often presented in a truncated fashion. Essential to the health and expansion of the Church is a full-orbed gospel. We find such a gospel proclaimed in Psalm 98 which speak of the entire world rejoicing because of Jesus Christ The King. http://www.christ-centered.church

The doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture is being denied by many evangelicals today. This doctrine, however, is not typically denied verbally, but in practice through ideologies, such as traditionalism, pragmatism, modern psychology, modern mysticism, and fallible prophecy. This sermon is a call for evangelicals to once again reaffirm their historical commitment to Christ and His Word. http://www.christ-centered.church  

In light of present suffering and future glory, God calls for His flock to be shepherded by a plurality of elders. though a plurality of elders is not essential to the gospel, it does protect the gospel. Experience demonstrates that far too often the local, visible church looks no different than a secular social club--and sometimes it looks worse! Why? The blame must lie squarely with the church that welcomes anyone claiming to be a Christian without examination and refusing to hold professing believers to biblical standards. The health of a church depends largely upon pursuing a regenerate membership, and as the Apostle Paul teaches, a means towards pursuing this ideal is the church disciplining wayward members. http://www.christ-centered.church/

In part one of this podcast, we examined Steven Furtick's newly released clip that has gone viral. In this podcast, we now examine the entire sermon from which this clip was drawn. We show his faulty man-centered hermeneutic that is mainly allegorical and moralistic. This type of moralistic allegorizing is dangerous and will bankrupt your soul. Steven Furtick released a clip this week that has gone viral. In it, he claims that the one thing Jesus can't do is override your unbelief. Is that true? Absolutely not. If that were true then no one would be saved at all. In salvation, God graciously overcomes our unbelief. In this clip, Jay Jones and George Mayes analyze this faulty view and shed some light on what is actually occurring in Mark 6:1-6. Additionally, they discuss the dangers of this faulty line of thinking for both unbelievers and believers. Josh preaches on the ultimate end of the Gospel, the glory of God. Our joy as Christians, as recipients of the benefits of the Gospel, is found in God's glory. The end purpose of the universe and everything God is doing in history is the glory of God. 

Jay preaches on the general exhortation to the Philippians which begins in 1:27. Paul exhorts the church to live lives worthy of the gospel by advancing the gospel together in unity.  We must obey this exhortation today and advance the gospel together in unity despite a culture, that in many ways is opposed to the exclusivity of Christ and His gospel.

George preaches on seeing Christ in all of Scripture.  The Bible is not a disconnected series of stories that are not related to one another. The Bible tells one story; the story of Christ.

Billy preaches on the importance of having a biblical worldview." A worldview is the lens through which you view reality.  Having a biblical worldview is essential in understanding the gospel, a biblical worldview is essential to having healthy Christ-Centered Churches.

Many people today fail to understand accurately the simple truths of the Gospel. Dusty will start us off with the right foundation by giving us a biblical understanding of the good news of what Jesus Christ has accomplished and how we should respond to Him.
