Send us a textThis is a rebroadcast of our 08/24/24 program.GUEST: SCOTT ANIOL, Executive VP and Editor-in-Chief G3 MinistriesThere is no more important issue and pursuit than worshipping God. It's more important than who will be our next president, more important than world peace, more important than your health, financial security, and whatever else we treasure.Scripture makes the primacy of worship clear: King David prayed, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all” (1 Chronicles 29:11).Paul wrote, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor 10:31).King Solomon exhorted, “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear [reverence, awe] God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)Psalms, the songbook of the Bible, closes this way: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6)God created man as a worshipful being. We can see this because everyone worships someone or something. If God isn't worshipped, a false god will be substituted—person, pleasure, possession, position, popularity, power, to name just a few.God, as Creator, Sustainer, Savior, and Sovereign over all, deserves our worship. Our peace, purpose, and pleasure in life is directly proportional to how rightly and authentically we worship the Creator. Our guest this weekend is Scott Aniol, Executive VP and Editor-in-Chief G3 Ministries. G3, which stands for “Gospel—Grace—Glory”, is a Christian organization that aims to strengthen the local church through conferences, resources, online articles, podcasts, expository preaching workshops, biblical worship workshops, and local church-based curriculum for Sunday school and small groups.”Scott Aniol will join us to discuss “The Primacy of Worship”. He explains in a five-part column series corresponding to each of the “five solas” of the Reformation that worship is even more important than salvation, for salvation is the entry point to proper worship of God.This program aims to be a helpful for individual Christians and also the church, for worship includes but is far more encompassing than music alone.-------------------Manger in Danger for a donation of $30 or moreRELATED ARTICLES:The Primacy of Worship Scott Aniol's series on the 5 Solas of WorshipScripture AloneGrace Alone in Christ AloneFaith AloneTo the Glory of God Alone

What can be more important than knowing what God has done for us...
"He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us" (Jas. 4:5 NASB). God reminded me that my heart, joined to His Spirit, has tremendous creative capacity to incubate (and birth) either good or evil, wonder or defilement, joy or despair, life or death, depending on whom I listen to.James goes on to describe the things I should be careful not to do so that I am properly yielding the creative capacity of my heart and spirit to God ALONE, allowing Him to jealously be the ONLY One Who imprints messages upon my heart. Psalm 37; Confession Lord's Day 34 Theme: Law keeping that delights in God alone. 1) Delighting in God alone 2) Freedom to obey 3) Heeding the law's warning
Send us a textSome of the great truths recovered at the Protestant Reformation are summarized in some slogans first enumerated as a list in the mid-20th century as the Five Solas. Although the phrase Soli Deo Gloria seems like an outliner it actually moves to the heart of the recovery of the great truth that God alone is the Savior of sinners. Paul expresses this truth well in Ephesians chapter 1, "to the praise of his glory." God does not share his glory. Not to us Yahweh, not to us but to your name be the glory. Psalm 115I, even I, am Yahweh, And there is no savior besides Me. Isaiah 43:11Bible Insights with Wayne ConradContact: 8441 Hunnicut Rd Dallas, Texas 75228email: Att. Send us a textA Reformation Sunday sermon on the Sola - Soli Deo Gloria. Ephesians 3 contains Paul's prayer for believers to glorify God. The church is theater in which the glory of God in salvation and worship is to be displayed. A major concern at the time of the Protestant Reformation was the diversion of the glory of God to idols and ceremonies that center on man himself. Luther, Calvin, Zwingli and others called the church back to God as the sovereign and only Savior to whom people are to give worship alone. In the 20th century the primary concern of the Reformers for guarding the Biblical teaching of salvation by God's grace alone through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ alone was summarized in which is known as the 5 Solas. The ultimate issue is that God alone is the Savior to Him alone is glory due. Psalm. 115:1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth's sake.Bible Insights with Wayne ConradContact: 8441 Hunnicut Rd Dallas, Texas 75228email: Att. Is it God's intention that our prayers should be a performance before men? If I really need help, who do I look to; God, or people? Are we trying to impress people during our petition to God? Am I even petitioning God while my mind is focused on how I'm being viewed by others? Please listen to this vital message. If never before, we must take a look at who we have the opportunity to talk to, and how we should value that opportunity by relinquishing all self-promoting intentions.
Malachi 3:7-12
Have you ever hoped for bad things to happen to the bad people in your life? If you write a song about that sentiment, it is called an imprecatory psalm.Fortunately, we have some New Testament light to shed on this sentiment. You may be familiar with how Jesus wishes us to treat our enemies: Love them, pray for them, and bless them. We do vengeance so very poorly. We'd best leave the vengeance for God alone.https://youtu.be/LMRMJZVB3mY

In the storms of life there is one steady anchor for our soul, God. Alone. David beautifully turns our eyes to God and calls us to turn our eyes from all the false "saviors" of this world. Pastor Mollenkopf opens up Psalm 62 to show us the sufficiency of God alone.
Psalm 62:5-7 - For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
What does it mean to wait on the Lord? When we're anxious or running out of stamina or worried about the future...what does that show us about our source(s) of peace? How can we find true strength? Who can help us with our anxiety? What would it take to feel confident and capable in the midst of our struggles? Take a few minutes with Rachel Caetano to hear some of her story seeking answers to these exact questions, and look into the Bible with her to see the answers she has found in God!

Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Support our mission to teach every verse of the Bible. Read more here: Project23 Our text today is Judges 4:23-24: So on that day God subdued Jabin the king of Canaan before the people of Israel. And the hand of the people of Israel pressed harder and harder against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they destroyed Jabin king of Canaan. — Judges 4:23-24 When God gives the victory, do you hand Him the glory—or do you try to keep a piece for yourself? After Jael's shocking strike, you might think the spotlight belongs to her—or to Deborah for her prophecy—or to Barak for leading the army. But Scripture doesn't allow that. It says plainly: “On that day God subdued Jabin the king of Canaan.” Yes, Barak fought. Yes, Jael struck. Yes, Deborah led. But it was God who delivered. He orchestrated the storm, routed the army, and fulfilled the prophecy. The text ends by making sure we know the truth: the glory belongs to Him, not them. This is the battlefield of the heart: who gets the glory? God may use your obedience, your courage, even your “tent pegs”—but the glory is His alone. And here's the danger: every time God gives you a win, your flesh will want to steal the credit. Pride whispers, “Look what you did.” But humility shouts, “Look what God has done!” If you take the glory, you rob God of what is rightfully His—and you set yourself up for a fall. Pride is a thief; humility is a shield. So fight hard. Step up with courage. But when the dust clears, drop the crown at His feet. Make it your mission to silence pride before it steals even a sliver of the glory that belongs only to God. ASK THIS: Where in my life am I tempted to take credit for what God has done? How do I usually respond when God gives me a victory—praise or pride? Who could I encourage by giving a testimony that points all glory back to Him? What practical step can I take to guard myself from stealing God's glory? DO THIS: Today, when you share a win or blessing in conversation, make sure you point directly to God as the One who made it possible. Don't keep a shred of the glory for yourself. PRAY THIS: Father, keep me from stealing Your glory. When You give victory, help me humbly give You all the credit, knowing it belongs to You alone. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Yours (Glory and Praise)."
