This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom – Theology Thursday – The Divine Council Worldview and the Nations: A Biblical Perspective Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2731 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2731 of our Trek.   The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Our current series of Theology Thursday lessons is written by theologian and teacher John Daniels. I have found that his lessons are short, easy to understand, doctrinally sound, and applicable to all who desire to learn more of God's Word. John's lessons can be found on his website   theologyinfive.com  . Today's lesson is titled The Divine Council Worldview and the Nations:  A Biblical Perspective.    The Divine Council Worldview, championed by scholars like Dr. Michael Heiser, offers a fascinating lens through which to interpret the biblical narrative. This worldview posits that Yahweh, the God of Israel, presides over a council of lesser divine beings who were assigned to govern the nations. This podcast explores the key aspects of how this worldview explains the relationship between the divine council and the nations.    The Disinheritance of the Nations    A pivotal moment in the Divine Council Worldview is the incident of the Tower of Babel, described in Genesis Eleven verses one through nine. Humanity's attempt to build a tower reaching the heavens was seen as an act of rebellion against Yahweh. In response, Yahweh confused their language, causing them to scatter across the earth. According to this worldview, this event led to the disinheritance of the nations, as articulated in Deuteronomy thirty-two verse eight and nine.   The passage suggests that the Most High divided the nations and assigned them to be governed by lesser divine beings, while retaining Israel as His own portion.    “When the Most High assigned lands to the nations, when he divided up the human race, he established the boundaries of the peoples according to the number in his heavenly court.[a]  “For the people of Israel belong to the Lord; Jacob is his special possession. ” (Deuteronomy thirty-two, verses eight and nine) Psalm 82: Judgment of the Gods    Psalm eighty-two is a critical text for understanding the Divine Council Worldview. In this Psalm, Yahweh stands in the divine assembly and judges the ‘gods' for their failure to administer justice and righteousness among the nations. These divine beings are condemned for their negligence and are warned of their eventual demise.    God presides over heaven's court; he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings:  “How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked?    I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.  But you will die like mere mortals and fall like every other ruler.'”    (Psalm...

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Russia bans three Baptist churches Forum 18 reports that Russia continues to crack down on Protestant churches. Russian courts banned three Baptist churches last month for not registering with the government. The congregations are part of the Council of Churches Baptist communities. The group has seen at least 10 of its churches banned. These bans have increased over the last year. Authorities often accuse such churches of “unlawful missionary activity.” However, the Baptist churches continue to meet despite the prohibitions and potential fines. When told not to teach in the name of Jesus, the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” European countries upset with Russia's drones European countries are investing in anti-drone systems as Russia continues to fly drones into their regions. Russia is testing NATO borders, flying drones as far as Germany, Denmark, and Belgium. Countries that border Russia, like Lithuania, are building public defense programs to prepare for any crisis. GODLIAUSKAS: “We develop kind of a strategy, how we are preparing our citizens militarily and how we're preparing all the rest of the citizens to build the resilience of our population.” UPS plane crashed in Kentucky, killing 3 aboard and 11 on ground In the United States, a UPS flight tragically crashed in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday evening last week. The plane crashed just after takeoff, leaving a trail of destruction through businesses and roads. The incident killed the three UPS crew members on board as well as 11 more people.  UPS said in a statement, “Words can't express the sorrow we feel over the heartbreaking Flight 2976 accident. . . . We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of our colleagues, and to the loved ones of those in the Louisville community.” Supreme Court to hear transgender sports case The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in cases involving transgender sports next year. The cases come from Idaho and West Virginia. In 2020, Idaho became the first state to require people to compete in sports according to their biological sex. West Virginia passed a similar law in 2021.  Lower courts blocked the laws. The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the cases by next June. SCRUGGS: “Men are coming into women's sports and taking away podium slots and scholarships. “Just in the West Virginia case alone, since the male athlete there started participating, he's taken away over 400 slots of women and displaced girls, 1,100 times.” International Olympic Committee likely to ban transgenders In a related story, BBC Sport reports the International Olympic Committee is likely to ban transgenders next year. The decision would prohibit men, pretending to be women, from competing in women's categories. The ban would likely take effect before the 2028 Summer Olympics to be held in Los Angeles, California.  13th county in America bans abortion Dickens County, Texas is now the 13th county in the nation to outlaw abortion. County leaders voted on Monday in favor of passing a Sanctuary County for the Unborn Ordinance. Dickens County has a population of 1,725 people. And it is the eleventh county in Texas to outlaw abortion. Augustine's influence felt today And finally, today is the birthday of Augustine of Hippo!  The renowned Christian theologian was born on November 13, A.D. 354 in what is modern-day Algeria, Africa.  Augustine's early life was marred by prodigal living. His mother faithfully prayed for him for years before his eventual conversion in his 30s. This took place after he providentially encountered Romans 13:13-14. The verses say, “Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in … drunkenness … and sensuality. … But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”  Augustine would go on to become Bishop of Hippo, a Roman province in North Africa. An able scholar, he turned his mind to the theological battles of his day, producing Christian classics like Confessions and The City of God.  Augustine's life and work would have a dominating influence on Western civilization. The Protestant Reformers, in particular, would quote him extensively in their efforts to reform the church over a thousand years later. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Chinese Communists arrested and detained three Christians Communist authorities in central China arrested and detained three Christians from a house church this month. Two of the Christians are pastors. They are facing trumped up charges of “fraud” and had previously spent over two years in custody. Officials often use such charges against house church leaders for simply receiving tithes and offerings. ChinaAid noted, “In recent years, the charge of ‘fraud' has increasingly been used by local governments across China as a common tactic to suppress pastors of house churches systematically.” Psalm 14:1, 4 says, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.' They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. … Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?” Japanese soldiers address attacks by bears Japan deployed troops to the northern part of the island country last week to deal with a string of deadly attacks—from bears. Since April of this year, bears have killed at least 13 people in Japan and injured over 100 more. That's the most fatalities on record. Experts are blaming the attacks on a poor acorn harvest this year. Bears are now leaving their natural habitats and wandering into urban areas to find food. In one incident last month, a bear attacked shoppers at a supermarket 80 miles north of Tokyo.   Supreme Court affirms Trump's call for biologically accurate passports In the United States, the U.S. Supreme ruled in favor of the Trump administration in a case involving so-called gender identity.  The ruling allows the State Department to require passports to list the holder's biological sex at birth. The court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines.  The ruling stated, “Displaying passport holders' sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth—in both cases, the government is merely attesting to an historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment.” Nebraska defunded Planned Parenthood Nebraska became the latest state to defund abortion providers like Planned Parenthood.  The state's Republican Governor Jim Pillen  signed an executive order last Thursday to end Medicaid funding to abortion providers. Nebraska made the move after the U.S. Supreme Court allowed South Carolina to defund Planned Parenthood.   Listen to comments from Nebraska State Attorney General Mike Hilgers. HILGERS: “Today is a culmination of years of work to ensure that Nebraska taxpayers no longer have their tax dollars going to fund abortions in the state of Nebraska. It's a fight that has gone on even from my time in the legislature.  “When we first got Title X funds, we stopped Title X from going to abortion providers, and now, thanks to [Nebraska] Governor Pillen's leadership, we have finally gotten to a place where taxpayer funds will no longer support abortions.” Age of first-time home buyer has increased to record high of 40 The National Association of Realtors released their 2025 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. The share of homes being bought by first-time buyers dropped to a record low of 21% over the last year. Meanwhile, the typical age of a first-time buyer climbed to an all-time high of 40. Jessica Lautz, Deputy Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors, said, “The historically low share of first-time buyers underscores the real-world consequences of a housing market starved for affordable inventory.” Regular Bible readers are more generous The American Bible Society released a new chapter from its State of the Bible USA 2025 report. The research found people who read the Bible regularly are more likely to be generous. Among Christian denominations, Evangelical Protestants have the highest percentage of givers and the highest median amount given. John Plake with the American Bible Society said, “The correlation between Scripture engagement and loving behavior and generosity is undeniable. The more people engage with Scripture, the more likely they are to give of their time, talents, and treasures and to act lovingly toward their neighbors.” In 1 Corinthians 9:7, the Apostle Paul wrote, “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” Florida's first search-and-rescue otter And finally, officials in Florida are deploying their first ever search-and-rescue otter. Splash, the two-year-old otter, is now helping the Martin County Sheriff's Office in search and rescue missions. Splash uses a unique bubble technique to detect scents underwater. This allows him to find missing bodies more effectively than dive teams can.  Listen to comments from Sheriff John Budensiek to CBS12 News. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Nigerian Governor denies Christian genocide Just days after Nigerian Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule publicly denied the existence of religious persecution or Christian genocide in Nigeria, about 50 Fulani Muslim gunmen launched a deadly midnight assault on a Christian community in the state.   Three individuals were murdered and others were critically wounded in the massacre.   In protest, hundreds of youths from the community displayed the dead bodies of the victims and blocked traffic until the military showed up to disperse them.  They were protesting the persistent invasions and kidnappings, in hopes of some government intervention. According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Sudanese civil war claims 70,000 civilian lives The ongoing civil war in Sudan, Africa is bringing untold losses to human life. Approximately, 70,000 civilians were killed in the last year, and the same number the year before. A paramilitary group, known as the “Rapid Support Forces,” is killing civilians with darker skin in the ethnic purge — and then burying the bodies in mass graves, reports Al Jazeera. America invested twice as much in Africa as China did The BBC reports that the U.S. has overtaken China as Africa's biggest investor for the first time since 2012. America invested $7.8 billion in 2023, compared to China's $4 billion. America absent from U.N. Climate Change Conference The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference kicked off yesterday in Belém, Brazil. Notably, the U.S. federal delegation is absent, reports The Hill.com. 7 Democrats, 1 Independent join GOP to end gov't shutdown The U.S. Democrat Party has experienced a seismic split. In an historic development on the national scene, seven Democrat senators and one Independent senator agreed to a compromise with the Republicans in the U.S. Senate to bring the government shutdown to an end, report The Epoch Times. The defectors were Dick Durbin (D-IL), Catherine Masto (D-NV), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), John Fetterman (D-PA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Maggie Hassan (D-NH), and Angus King (I-ME). The big bone of contention among the Democrats in the shutdown concerned there hope of extending the Obamacare funding of individual and family health insurance.  Health insurers are corrupt and contribute heavily to Democrats Breitbart and American Resolve estimate that health insurers are taking in $1 trillion per year in federal subsidies, thanks to Obamacare. Plus, their stocks are up 1,000% since 2009. These companies contributed five times more funds to the Kamala Harris presidential campaign than they contributed to Donald Trump's campaign. And “Blue Shield of California donated $500,000 and UnitedHealth donated $75,000 to Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom's ballot measure effort, Prop. 50” which could give Democrat and insurance companies five additional seats in Congress. Even more egregious, federal auditors estimate that Medicare Advantage will overbill medical services somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 trillion this decade. Isaiah 1:23 warns of princes who “are rebellious, and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes and follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, nor does the cause of the widow come before them.” Tucker Carlson in hot water for Nick Fuentes interview But then, the “conservative right” has their own dumpster fire going after Tucker Carlson interviewed Nick Fuentes. (It was a 2-hour-long interview). Ben Shapiro, the conservative founder of The Daily Wire, referred to Carlson as the “most virulent super-spreader of vile ideas in America.”  Mark Levin layered on another epithet for Carlson, calling the conservative talk show host a “Nazi promoter. " And Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas called the Fuentes interview “cowardly and complicit." Supremes unlikely to affirm Trump's tariffs According to the SCOTUS BLOG, the U.S. Supreme Court appears doubtful as to the constitutionality of the Trump tariffs.   Both Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Neil Gorsuch appeared skeptical in the oral arguments which took place last Wednesday.  Supreme Court will not reverse homosexual marriage The U.S. Supreme Court will not reverse Obergefell.   The high court issued their decision Monday to let the 2015 decision stand — codifying the legitimization of faux marriage for those living in unnatural relations, men with men, and women with women — here in the United States. The justices rejected an appeal from former Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis — who had refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples — on the basis of her religious beliefs. A few weeks ago, Justice Amy Barrett admitted her reluctance to oppose the homosexual campaign for same-sex faux marriage because of what she called "very concrete reliance interests,” reports the New York Times. These apparently did not include God's interests. In a speech Justice Samuel Alito gave a few months ago, he called the Obergefell decision a “precedent of the court that is entitled to the respect afforded by the doctrine of stare decisis.”   That's a legal term meaning the policy of following principles laid down in previous judicial decisions. Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel was quite disappointed.  He said, “The majority of Supreme Court Justices know Obergefell is wrong, and this case should have been granted review and reversed that unconstitutional opinion. We are committed to overturning Obergefell. Like the abortion issue in Roe v. Wade, the Obergefell opinion has no basis in the U.S. Constitution.” The Prophet Micah issued this lament in Chapter 7:2-4. “The faithful man has perished from the Earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; The best of them is like a brier; The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge; The day of your watchman and your punishment comes; Now shall be their perplexity.” Household debt shot up by 30% Total U.S. household debt has registered a 30% increase since 2020 — now at $18.5 trillion. And, the U.S. dollar has weakened against major currencies this year by about 10%. That's the worst performance since the Nixon presidency.   Meanwhile, gold has increased about 60% in value this year to date. Average American wedding costs $33,000 And finally, in other economic news, The Knot reveals that the average wedding now costs $33,000. And couples who invite over 140 guests will need to pay $40,000. The price tag is location dependent.  New York weddings run $48,000 while Wyoming weddings average $17,000. To compare, the cost of the average starter home in America this year, by RedFin's metric, is $260,000 with a down payment of $16,900. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Syria's President to visit White House in historic first ​​ Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa is slated to visit the White House today, marking the first-ever visit by a Syrian president to Washington, D.C., reports International Christian Concern.  Al-Sharaa seized power in December 2024 after a rapid coup that toppled longtime dictator Bashar al-Assad.  In the months since coming to power, al-Sharaa has reached out to various religious and ethnic minority groups. However, he has also garnered significant criticism from minority groups and international human rights organizations, which point to the repeated massacres of Druze and Alawite civilians. At a recent Capitol Hill event titled “Fortifying Religious Freedom in Syria,” civil society groups gathered in support of decentralization. Speakers included Nadine Maenza, Ambassador Sam Brownback, Rep. Frank Wolf, and representatives of the Druze, Alawite, Kurdish, and Christian communities.  Al-Sharaa is moving toward a system that grants the central government significant authority, rather than a federated system in which local areas retain robust self-determination.  Some analysts predict that al-Sharaa's deep roots in Islamic jihad will lead to further attacks on ethnic and religious minority communities. Sharaa began his career with the Islamic State in Iraq, before creating his own al-Qaida-aligned militant group in Syria.  1,100 flights canceled Sunday amid nationwide air travel disruption On Sunday, more than 1,100 flights were cancelled across the country according to the FlightAware website, as the Federal Aviation Administration limited capacity at 40 major U.S. airports amid the longest government shutdown in American history, reports ABC News. On Saturday, 1,521 flights were canceled and 6,400 flights were delayed.  Defund Planned Parenthood by America's 250th birthday A coalition of pro-life groups led by Lila Rose of Live Action set as its next mission the passage of a permanent nationwide defunding of Planned Parenthood before the one-year-ban in the current law expires that will also coincide with the 250th anniversary of the United States, reports LifeSiteNews.com. This past July, President Donald Trump signed into law his so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill, a wide-ranging tax and spending package that contains a one-year ban on federal tax dollars going through Medicaid to any entity that provides abortions for reasons other than rape, incest, or supposed threats to the mother's life. That law forced the closure of numerous abortion mills. Rose said, “We cannot celebrate [250 years of] freedom while subsidizing the killing of American children.” Republicans have already proposed standalone measures to fully cut off Planned Parenthood's government funding: the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, which permanently bans federal funds from being used for abortion; and the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, which disqualifies Planned Parenthood and its affiliates specifically. More Americans are reading the Bible but fewer believe it's 100% accurate With Millennials and Generation Z leading the way, particularly among men, Bible reading among U.S. adults in 2025 is at its highest level in the last 15 years, reports The Christian Post. The initiative by Barna Group and Gloo collected data from 12,116 online interviews conducted between January and October 2025. The research revealed that approximately 50% of self-identified Christians report reading the Bible weekly, the highest level of Bible reading among Christians in more than a decade. Weekly Bible reading among all U.S. adults reached its lowest point in 15 years in 2024 when it hit 30%. In 2025, the figure rebounded 12 percentage points to 42%. Approximately 50% of Millennials reported reading the Bible weekly, representing a 16-point increase from the previous year. Bible reading among Gen Z increased by a staggering 19 points, from 30% a year ago to 49% in 2025. Gen X currently stands at 41%. Sadly, despite more Americans reporting regular Bible reading, fewer maintain that the Bible is 100% accurate. Only 36% of Americans now hold that the Bible is 100% accurate. In 2000, this share was 43%. Just 44% of self-identified Christians strongly affirmed the accuracy of the Bible. Proverbs 30:5 says, "Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” Two farmers rescue 20 kids from burning school bus And finally, last week, two California farmers were honored for being the first ones to help save over 20 students aboard a school bus that caught fire, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. Long before the Madera County Fire Department arrived on scene on September 4th, Angel Zarco and Carlos Perea were there.  Providentially, they were repairing their tractor at the time. In fact, the pair noticed the smoke billowing from the back of the bus even before the bus driver did. Carlos Perea recognized it was God's perfect timing. PEREA: “God put us in that place for a reason, that was to help. Help out the kids.” Angel Zarco explained they jumped into action. ZARCO: “We were just making sure that the kids were far away enough so they wouldn't get hurt.” The men made their way through the dark smoke to reach the final children in the back row.   ZARCO: “The bus caught fire right away, probably within like two minutes, three minutes. It all happened right away.” They evacuated all the students on board before hightailing it to a safe distance as the school bus burst into flames. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Indian Christians rally for rights The Christian Community in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh has planned to organize a public rally in protest of the ongoing discrimination against Christians there, reports International Christian Concern. The Civil Rights Rally is being organized by Rashtriya Christian Morcha, a nation-wide civil rights advocacy group, in association with the Christian community in Kanker. They seek to uphold justice, equality, and the values of the Indian Constitution. No date has been set. Numerous Hindu villages in the Kanker district previously erected billboards banning the entry of pastors and “converted Christians,” creating fear among members of the Christian minority. The warnings declared these villages off-limits to Christian missionaries and evangelists, citing provisions of a 1996 law. In Acts 4:18, Jesus' disciples faced similar restrictions. “Then [the Sanhedrin] called them in again and commanded [the disciples of Christ] not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.” Senator Cruz: Democratic victories were “an electoral blowout” Appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox TV talk show on Wednesday, the day after the Democrats won the races for governor in Virginia and New Jersey as well as for New York City mayor, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas sounded the alarm. CRUZ:  “Last night was a disaster. It was an electoral blowout. The results in New Jersey were disastrous. The results in Virginia were terrible. The results in in New York: Comrade [Zohran] Mamdani is the face of the Democrat Party. “We have an actual communist jihadist. And it's important to note, Mamdani is not a socialist. He is a full-on communist. He is called for seizing the means of production in our economy. He is a Marxist. That is profoundly dangerous. “And look, I know there's some Republicans who are saying, ‘Well, gosh, this will be good politically, because they'll be the face of the Democrat Party.'  I think it's terrible for America. New York is the largest city in America. It is the financial capital of the world; it's the media capital of the world. This is a lunatic who wants to abolish the police. This is a jihadist who cheers on the radicals and the terrorists who chant ‘Globalize the Intifada.'” Senator Cruz explained that the Democrats are fired up and if Republicans don't wake up, they could lose the Congress in the 2026 mid-term election. CRUZ: “Last night should be a warning sign. It should be a warning sign to Republicans across this country. The left. They're energized. They're angry. Democrats are out raising Republicans right now, 3-1, 4-1. “I think, on our side, the Republicans, and they're just people who are common sense in the middle, who I fear are feeling potentially complacent. That is really, really dangerous. The left showed up in big numbers last night, and common sense conservatives did not if that happens a year from now, we face disaster in the midterms.” Most major US airports are among 40 targeted for shutdown flight cuts Airports in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago are among 40 of the busiest across America where flights will be cut starting Friday due to the government shutdown, reports The Associated Press. The Federal Aviation Administration announced Wednesday it would reduce air traffic by 10% across “high-volume” markets to maintain travel safety as air traffic controllers go unpaid and exhibit signs of strain during the shutdown. The affected airports in more than two dozen states include the busiest ones across the U.S., including Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Orlando, Miami, and San Francisco. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi retires at 85 Nancy Pelosi, the first female speaker of the House and one of the most powerful women in modern American politics, will retire from Congress next year, reports Politico.com. The San Francisco liberal Democrat, who announced her decision Thursday, had come under increasing pressure to step aside amid her party's widening generational divide. Now 85, she defied political observers in 2023 when she ran for a 20th congressional term despite Democrats losing the House and her speakership the year before. But next year, she faced a tougher-than-expected group of primary challengers. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America gave Pelosi a grade of “F” on the life issue.  Most recently, she opposed protecting babies who are born alive after an attempted abortion and she supported using taxpayer dollars under the Biden-Harris administration to pay for a female soldier to travel to get an abortion. Pelosi also faced personal struggles in recent years that fueled speculation about her political future. Just before the 2022 midterms, David DePape broke into the Pelosi's San Francisco mansion and attacked Paul Pelosi, her husband, with a hammer. He was sentenced to life in prison. And last year, she underwent hip replacement surgery after suffering an injury while traveling. Singer alleges Gold's Gym terminated membership after complaint about man in women's locker room A Los Angeles-based singer is calling for a boycott of Gold's Gym after claiming her membership was terminated for raising concerns about a man, who was pretending to be a woman, who was allowed in the women's locker room, reports The Christian Post. In a video shared on social media on November 2, Tish Hyman, age 42, was seen confronting a man named Grant Freeman, who goes by the name “Alexis,” wearing earrings and a necklace in the women's locker room of a Gold's Gym location at Beverly Center.  Hyman said the gym “had me escorted out by officers afterwards. It was EMBARRASSING! I left but not before making sure everyone KNEW that they were allowing MEN in the [women's] locker room!” In response to Hyman's viral videos, women's advocate and former swimmer Riley Gaines cheered on her protest in a November 3 post. The swimmer wrote, “If we saw boldness like this back in 2020, this insanity would've never been allowed to fester like it has. God bless you for speaking the truth loudly.” Genesis 1:27 says, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created Him; male and female He created them.” 1,200-pound polar bear gleefully eats 1,400-pound giant pumpkin And finally, it's not everyday that Henry, the polar bear, sees something that weighs more than he does. At 1,200-pounds, the polar bear was initially defensive when he saw a giant 1,400-pound pumpkin sitting in his enclosure at The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat in Ontario, Canada, a sanctuary for polar bears in need of human care, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. Henry eventually dug into the sweet, crunchy flesh of the mammoth yellow pumpkin. The photos will steal a chuckle out of anyone. The polar bear habitat often receive presents for their bears around Polar Bear Awareness Week. One amusing photo shows Henry, the Polar Bear, in something of a food coma after eating about a third of the pumpkin in one sitting.  Sounds like our post-Thanksgiving sprawl on the couch after too much turkey, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed pastor, kidnapped 20 church members Nigerian Fulani Muslim assailants killed a pastor and nine Christians over the past week. On October 28, Muslim Fulani bandits killed Rev. Yahaya Kambasaya and kidnapped 20 of his church members in central Nigeria. In a neighboring state, militants killed nine Christians in a string of attacks between October 31 and November 3.  A Christian attorney in the area told Morning Star News, “These incidents occurred even when they were preceded with an early warning alert given to relevant authorities.”  Hamas returns body of American hostage Hamas, the Palestinian Muslim terrorist group, returned to Israel the body of the last American hostage it was holding in Gaza on Tuesday.  Itay Chen was a 19-year-old Israeli-American soldier. He was killed and taken hostage during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.  U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X, “We honor his life, mourn his loss, and stand by his family.”  Muslim socialist Zohran Mamdani elected as New York City mayor In the United States, Democrats won several elections after voters went to the polls on Tuesday. Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic socialist, won the race for mayor of New York City, and gave his victory speech Tuesday night. MAMDANI: “The sun may have set over our city this evening, but as Eugene Debs once said, (cheering) ‘I can see the dawn of a better day for humanity.'  (cheering) “For as long as we can remember, the working people of New York have been told by the wealthy and the well-connected that power does not belong in their hands. Fingers bruised from lifting boxes on the warehouse floor, palms calloused from delivery bike handle bars, knuckles scarred with kitchen burns. These are not hands that have been allowed to hold power. And yet, over the last 12 months, you have dared to reach for something greater. (cheering) Tonight, against all odds, we have grasped it. (cheering) The future is in our hands. (cheering) “My friends, we have toppled a political dynasty.” (cheering) He is now the first Muslim mayor of the biggest U.S. city, who beat former Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo. NBC News reported that Zohran Mamdani got 50.4% of the vote, former Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo got 41.6%, and Republican Curtis Sliwa got 7.1% On CNN, conservative commentator Scott Jennings explained who Eugene Debbs was whom Mamdani quoted with great admiration. JENNINGS: “He started his speech by quoting Eugene Debs, who ran for president of the United States five times as the Socialist Party of America candidate. “He went after everybody that he thinks is a problem. People who own things, people who have businesses. He said an interesting quote, ‘No problem too large for government to solve.' And so, when you think of the world that way, that every problem is something for government to do, let me just decipher this for you. “Tax increases as far as the eye can see which means the people who need to provide jobs, to the young people that you say need jobs, are going to flee as quickly as they possibly can. “He clearly sees the world in terms of the people who are oppressing you and the oppressed. And he said, ‘The oppressed are now in city hall.'” Democrat victories in other blue states There were two other notable Democratic victories. Democrat Abigail Spanberger won the race for governor of Virginia with 56.3%, becoming the first woman to do so, reported NBC News.  She beat Winsome Sears, who got 43.2% of the vote, and served as the Republican Lt. Governor under the term-limited Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin. And Democrat Mikie Sherrill won the race for governor of New Jersey with 56.3% of the vote, keeping the position in the hands of Democrats, and beating Republican Jack Ciattarelli. Vice President J.D. Vance responded to the elections on X. He said there's no reason to “overreact to a couple of elections in blue states.” But he also added, “We have to do better at turning out voters than we have in the past.” Republican leaders prayed for America Republican leaders and lawmakers joined with the Family Research Council for a time of prayer last Thursday. PERKINS: “Jesus said this in Matthew chapter 18:19. “He says, ‘Again, I say to you, if two of you agree on Earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am among them.' “So tonight, we gather with the recognition that we need God's help. We gather in the name of Jesus to pray and ask for His hand, the Lord's hand of guidance, the Holy Spirit to lead us.” And listen to some of the closing prayer from Dr. Ben Carson, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.  CARSON: “Lord, we come before you today to pray for our nation. You have blessed the United States with freedom and opportunity and a rich legacy of faith. You're bringing us together this evening through electronic media. But we know You're with us always. And we ask, in the name of Jesus, that you would bless us and bless this nation. Amen.” Vatican rejects Mary, mother of Jesus, as co-Redeemer On Tuesday, the Roman Catholic Church rejected Mary, the mother of Jesus, as the “co-Redeemer” of the world. The Vatican's top doctrinal office stated, “Any gaze directed at her that distracts us from Christ or that places her on the same level as the Son of God would fall outside the dynamic proper to an authentically Marian faith.” However, World Magazine notes the statement does not affirm a Protestant perspective on Mary. The Evangelical publication wrote, “Protestants believe Mary was ‘highly favored' by the Lord, but they do not believe she has an active role in the lives of believers.” 1 Timothy 2:5 says, “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” Construction begins on Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer And finally, constructions begins this week on what is set to be the largest Christian monument in the United Kingdom. It's called the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer. The design for it is in the shape of an infinity loop called a Möbius strip, a surface which has neither beginning nor end. It will stand 170 feet tall and made out of one million bricks. Each brick will be linked to a story of answered prayer. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Vulnerable Asian and African girls kidnapped, abused, converted to Islam Christian women and girls are easy targets for persecution in South Asian and African nations. Last Tuesday, a panel at the World Evangelical Alliance's 14th General Assembly shared details. For example, girls in Nigeria, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are often kidnapped, abused, and forced to convert to Islam. Even if they escape, they often face rejection after returning to their families, communities, or churches.  The panel called for better care for the women and girls subjected to such persecution. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Finnish stateswoman on trial again for affirming Biblical sexuality Speaking of persecuted women, a Christian woman in Finland is on trial for posting online about her biblical views on marriage and sexuality.  Last Thursday, the country's Supreme Court heard the case of Päivi Räsänen, a 65-year-old Finnish Member of Parliament. The state prosecution of her religious expression continues despite lower courts clearing her of wrongdoing. Listen to her recent comments to CitizenGo.  RÄSÄNEN: “This has been my calling. This has been some kind of privilege, to defend these very crucial values, to defend the freedom of speech and freedom of faith, because that is what we need just now. And also to bring the teachings of the Bible in public.” Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola is also on trial in the case. He said, “I think it is important that Christians continue to be able to defend Christian marriage and the Christian view of humanity without fear.” In 2 Thessalonians 1:8, the Apostle Paul wrote “Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the Gospel according to the power of God.” 40 Days for Life has saved 25,000 babies from abortion 40 Days for Life completed its latest campaign on Sunday. Pro-lifers mobilized for vigils in 671 cities worldwide for the last 40 days.  Shawn Carney, president of the pro-life group, said, “Thanks to your prayers and God's generosity, we continue to receive reports of babies who were scheduled to be aborted--but are instead alive and well!” In some cities, vigils are continuing year-round through the 40 Days for Life 365 initiative. Since 2007, 40 Days for Life has saved over 25,000 babies from abortion.  Former Vice President Dick Cheney died In the United States, former Vice President Dick Cheney died on Monday at the age of 84. His family said in a statement that he died from complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease.  The statement noted, “Dick Cheney was a great and good man who taught his children and grandchildren to love our country, and to live lives of courage, honor, love, kindness, and fly fishing.” Sadly, Cheney supported homosexual faux marriage because his daughter, Mary Cheney, married her lesbian lover, Heather Poe. Cheney was known as one of the most influential vice presidents in U.S. history. He served as vice president under both terms of President George W. Bush. He was a key yet controversial leader in the “War on Terror” following the 9/11 terrorists attacks. Cheney was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was also the first Methodist vice president to serve under a Methodist president. U.S. Episcopal Church shrinking for anti-Biblical stances The U.S. Episcopal Church released its 2024 Parochial Report last month. And it's not good news. Not surprisingly, the mainline Protestant denomination reported fewer baptisms and a drop in the total number of parishes -- no doubt the result of the Episcopal Church's rejection of Biblical authority and an embrace of sodomy and baby killing through abortion. Worship attendance did increase last year, but is still down compared to a decade ago. At its rate of decline, the denomination could have no Sunday attendance in 30 years. Deuteronomy 4:2 warns, “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.” Slight decrease in U.S. obesity rate And finally, Gallup reports obesity rates are declining in the U.S. The adult obesity rate stands at 37% this year. That's down from a high of 39.9% in 2022 but up from 25.5% in 2008. While obesity rates have declined recently, diagnoses of diabetes have reached an all-time high of 13.8%. That's up slightly from 10.6% in 2008. The use of weight loss injectable drugs has risen sharply over the past year. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Trump adds Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern The President of the United States announced Friday that Nigeria will be added to the State Department's list of Countries of Particular Concern in regards to Christian persecution, reports ABC News. A "Country of Particular Concern" is a designation given by the U.S. government to a country that has engaged in or tolerated "systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom.” This designation, made by the President or Secretary of State under the International Religious Freedom Act, indicates severe religious freedom violations like torture, prolonged detention for religious reasons, or religiously inspired murder. A Country of Particular Concern designation can lead to diplomatic pressure or economic sanctions. Trump threatens Nigerian Islamic terrorists with swift justice President Trump added this passionate statement to his Truth Social on Sunday.  He wrote, “If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,' to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.  “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!” In response, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on X, "The killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria, and anywhere, must end immediately. The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.” Last month, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas commented on X that "Officials in Nigeria are ignoring and even facilitating the mass murder of Christians by Islamist jihadists.” Mainstream media outlets sidestep Nigerian genocide In recent news reports, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other mainstream media sources continue ignoring, minimizing, or outright rejecting the world's most egregious genocide at present -- the mass killing of Christians in Nigeria, Africa. At the same time, Genocide Watch has issued a “Genocide Emergency” for Nigeria —citing the mass slayings of Christians.   The organization considers Nigeria to have entered what they call Stage 9: Extermination and Stage 10: Denial — with this particular genocide.  Over the last 15 years, a report from the International Society for Religious Liberties and the Rule of Law counts 189,000 Nigerians slaughtered in cold blood by radical Muslims, of which 125,000 plus were Christians.   In addition, 19,100 churches were destroyed, and more than 1,100 Christian communities sacked. Nigerian Bishop upset that some deny there's a Christian genocide Bishop David Abioye of the Nigerian Conqueror Global Assembly spoke recently of the genocide, correcting what he called “the distortion of truth.” ABIOYE: “There's a lot of distortion going on. People claiming that there is no genocide of Christians in the nation. You see people buried [by the] hundreds, and you say there is no genocide. What a wicked set of people. I agree there are people killed in other place for other reasons.  “But this one is very clear, and gradually it's eating down to the South, Southwest, Southeast. Many so-called leaders, for their personal interest, are claiming it's not true, selling out their faith, if they have it at all.” Romans 13 calls the ruler or president “God's minister to you for good,” noting “he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”  Texas Supreme Court allows judges not to perform homosexual weddings Is Obergefell on ice?   That's the 2015 Supreme Court ruling which purportedly legalized same-sex mirage in this country.  The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that judges who refuse to perform homosexual faux marriage ceremonies will no longer face disciplinary action for their decisions, reports The Christian Post. This comes right as the US Supreme Court will be discussing the same issue, scheduled for this Friday. Kim Davis, the former Kentucky county clerk, has appealed her case, where she was convicted for refusing to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples after the Obergefell decision came down in 2015. Reformed pastor arrested for soliciting prostitutes A Presbyterian Church in America pastor from Tulsa, Oklahoma has been arrested on charges of soliciting prostitutes, reports ChurchLeaders.com. Jeremy Fair, senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church, was one of five men implicated in a sting operation. The church has placed the pastor on indefinite leave, according to a statement issued by the session. U.S. government shutdown about to become longest in history The current American government shutdown is about to round its fifth week, or 35th day.  If the shutdown continues through tomorrow, this will be the longest in U.S. history — exceeding the record set during the first Trump administration in 2019. Because of the ongoing financial crisis, President Donald Trump is urging the Senate Republicans to scrap the 60-vote filibuster threshold in favor of the simple-majority passage of legislation. However, on Monday, Senate Majority Leader John Thune said there's not enough support among Republican senators to eliminate the filibuster, reports Politico.com.  However, Senator Thune did express optimism about the Senate's resolution of the shutdown this week, reports CBS News. Trump admin will partially fund November food stamps On Monday, the Trump administration agreed to move billions of emergency dollars to partially pay for food aid this month in response to a federal judge's order, though some families may not receive benefits for weeks, according to Politico.com. Officials will use $4.65 billion from the USDA's contingency fund to support roughly half of food stamp participants' “current allotments” as the shutdown drags on, according to a new legal filing. Help victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti Late last week, Category-5 Hurricane Melissa clobbered Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti, leveling whole towns, and killing 67 people, 32 of whom were in Jamaica, reports NBC News. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Blind Pakistani Christian man falsely accused of blasphemy against Muhammad Nadeem Masih, a 49-year-old blind Christian in Pakistan, has been arrested and charged with blasphemy against the false prophet Muhammad, punishable by death, reports Morning Star News. Martha Yousaf, his nearly 80-year-old mother, said that Waqas Mazhar, a Muslim man, often harasses her son, sometimes extorting money from him and other times throwing water on him or calling him names. Mazhar, the Muslim, works as a parking contractor in Lahore, where her blind son earns a meager income providing a weighing scale for petty merchants. She said, “Sometimes kindhearted visitors would also give him more money due to his disability, but the park's Muslim workers used to steal it from his pocket.” Some, including Mazhar, had also taken loans of various amounts from the Christian blind man but refused to return the money despite his repeated requests. When Masih went to work on August 21, Mazhar and other mean Muslims refused to let him set up his makeshift stall, roughed him up and took him to the police station where the police, to their shame, mercilessly beat the blind Christian man and forced him to admit to the false blasphemy charge. In John 15:18, 21, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. …  They will treat you this way because of My name, for they do not know the One who sent Me.” Human Rights Watch said, “Blasphemy [against Muhammad] accusations are increasingly weaponized to incite mob violence, displace vulnerable communities, and seize their property with impunity.” Pakistan ranked eighth on Open Doors' 2025 World Watch List of the 50 most dangerous countries for Christians. King Charles III strips Prince Andrew of title and housing Last Thursday, King Charles III made a shock announcement  confirming that he will strip Prince Andrew, his brother, of both his title and his housing at the Royal Lodge, a lavish 30-room property, which sits in close proximity to Windsor Castle, reports the New York Post. In Andrew Lownie's biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he documents that during a taxpayer-funded trip to Thailand, “Andrew had 40 prostitutes brought in the space of four days. This was all enabled by diplomats.” Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Lownie said this about Prince Andrew. LOWNIE: “He's been caught lying time and time again. I suddenly found researching my book, you couldn't take a single thing he said without checking it. And I think the King [Charles III] has realized that he hasn't been telling the truth. And so, the evidence against Andrew is overwhelming.” Plus, Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide earlier this year, claimed in her posthumously-released memoir, Nobody's Girl, that Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her three times when she was 17, which he has denied. Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure your sin will find you out." Democrat Senator John Fetterman: “We have to be better than this!” On Darkins Breaking News, Democratic U.S. Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania  took issue with his fellow Democrats for voting to shut down the U.S. government 13 times in a row. FETTERMAN:  “We're a Democrat, we're not allowed to just open this up. I mean, then our party has bigger problems than I thought we might have already. That's not controversial. Pay everybody. It's a failure. “And to all of the viewers, I'm apologizing that we can't even get together and just open up our government.” REPORTER: “[Minority Leader Senator Chuck] Schumer said, ‘This gets better politically every day for Democrats.'  What do you say to that?” FETTERMAN:  “Ask the hungry people on Saturday. Americans are not leverage. This is not some game show about who's winning or whatever. We have to be better than this.” As a result of the Democrats' refusal to fund the government, 41 million Americans, who receive food stamps now, will not receive them starting this past Saturday. Plus, the pleas of the largest federal workers' union fell on deaf ears, reports NBC News. Speaker Johnson contrasts Trump's wins with Democrat clowns Appearing on Sean Hannity's TV talk show, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, provided a contrast between President Trump's successes of delivering tax cuts, a strong border, a reduction in crime and world peace with the Democrats in the U.S. Senate who have voted 13 times to shut down the government. JOHNSON: “What stands out tonight is the stunning contrast of what we're seeing. History is being made. “Here's President Trump showing peace through strength, using his power and position to bring peace to the Middle East. I mean, a truly massive, historic foreign policy achievement, returning hostages, restoring security to Israel, setting a foundation for lasting peace, and reducing taxes on hard-working Americans at the same time and ending the border crisis and ending the crime crisis, and reducing fraud, waste and abuse in government, and now settling international conflicts all around the globe. “Here are the Democrats on Capitol Hill acting like a bunch of clowns. They're trying to lie to the American people. They're trying to play politics with government funding, and real Americans are being harmed. I think there is such a stark contrast. “I'm not sure there has ever been such a stronger contrast between two political parties, the Republican Party is delivering for the American people and the Democrats trying to make a show out of this.” The 13th U.S. Senate vote on October 28th was 54-45, with only three members of the Democratic caucus voting to reopen the government, reports The Hill. They include Senators John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Catherine Masto of Nevada, and Angus King of Maine, an independent who caucuses with Democrats.    It needed 60 votes to advance.  The "60-vote rule" in the Senate refers to the cloture vote needed to end a filibuster, which is a tactic that allows the minority party to delay or block legislation.  Initially, after the first cloture rule was adopted in 1917, ending a filibuster required a two-thirds majority or 67 votes. In 1975, the threshold was reduced to the current 60 votes or three-fifths majority. Trump flirts with nuclear option to end Senate filibuster President Donald Trump has flirted with the idea of the so-called nuclear option which would deep-six the cloture vote altogether, enabling the majority party to pass legislation with a simply majority vote. On TruthSocial last Thursday, he wrote, “It is now time for the Republicans to play their ‘TRUMP CARD,' and go for what is called the Nuclear Option — Get rid of the Filibuster, and get rid of it, NOW! “WE are in power, and if we did what we should be doing, it would IMMEDIATELY end this ridiculous, country-destroying ‘SHUT DOWN.'”  However, President Trump does not appear to have enough votes from within the Republican caucus to end the filibuster. The Democratic shutdown is animated, in part, by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York's concern that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has a commanding 21 percentage point lead over Schumer in a hypothetical match-up in a Democratic Senatorial primary for 2028, reports Newsweek. This is the second longest government shutdown in American history. The longest one lasted 34 days during the first Trump administration, reports CBS News. 61 Planned Parenthood abortion centers have closed in 2025 And finally, Troy Newman, president of the pro-life group Operation Rescue, had some great news, reports LifeNews.com.  He said, “61 Planned Parenthood locations in total (including referral centers) have shut their doors since our 2024 survey — a record number.” The ripple effect of President Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill is saving lots of babies from abortion. Planned Parenthood was defunded $600 million of taxpayer money for a year which has resulted in these inevitable closures. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Sudanese police arrest pastor for not giving Muslim the church In an apparent attempt by a Muslim businessman in Sudan, Africa to seize church property, the police arrested and jailed a pastor on October 28th in River Nile State, reports Morning Star News. At 6:00pm, two police officers arrived at the home of Rev. Daud Kachu of the Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church in Atbara and presented him with an arrest warrant. When congregation members said he needed to speak with the church attorney first, the officers initially feigned understanding, but two other policemen, hiding behind the church building, appeared and forced Pastor Kachu into a vehicle. They took him to the Atbara police station, where he was jailed. An intensive interrogation followed on October 29th, and police conveyed the Muslim businessman's demand that he had 30 days to vacate the church premises. The police officers said, “The law is above your religion.” Police demanded that the pastor sign a document stipulating that he would no longer object to anyone trying to seize the church property, but the pastor refused. Rev. Kachu, who has led the church for 30 years, was initially denied bail, but police later released him after intervention by the church attorney. In Psalm 105:15, God warns, “Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.” Box Office Massacre: October Revenue Falls to 27-Year Low, Excluding Pandemic Halloween is shaping up to be scarier than ever for Hollywood and its exhibition partners, but not in a good way, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Domestic box office revenue for October 2025 is expected to come in at roughly $425 million — the worst showing in 27 years, according to Comscore. This excludes October 2020, the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic,  Two problems. First, many October titles simply didn't resonate with general audiences. Second, fewer people are going to the silver screen. MN Supreme Court allows men, pretending to be women, to compete in powerlifting The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled unanimously on October 22nd that men have a right to cheat in women's sports, reported Fox News. The fact that the decision was unanimous proves how the Left is “all in” on radical transgender ideology.   The New Left tells women today, “You have to let a man watch you undress and your daughter has to compete against boys.” Trouble In Chinatown In New York City's Chinatown district, illegal vendors are selling counterfeit merchandise like fake Gucci purses, designer clothing, and  high-end watches, reports Breitbart.com. That's not only illegal, it also hurts legitimate merchants who cannot compete with the fake knockoffs. Merchants have repeatedly complained to the city, but to no avail.   Federal immigration police launched an enforcement operation. They arrested nine illegal aliens, most of whom had committed additional crimes. Their rap sheets included robbery, assaulting police officers, drug trafficking, drug possession, forgery, and domestic violence.   Gary Bauer of Campaign for Working Families, wrote, “This enforcement operation was a ‘win-win' for New York City. Immigration police got rid of illegal merchants and criminals. “But what happened? There was a riot in Chinatown as leftists rushed into the streets to prevent immigration police from doing their jobs. This is what the Left has fomented around America. They have inspired an insurrection that is resisting federal law enforcement.” Tucker Carlson: Abortion enthusiasts have a “religious fanaticism” about killing In the footsteps of the late Charlie Kirk, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson took a strong stand for life recently during a Turning Point USA event at Indiana University in response to a pro-abortion student, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Listen. STUDENT: “A lot of what's happening in this country with people using religion to justify their stance against abortion. People are using religion….” CARLSON: “May I just suggest something.  I've never seen religious fanaticism like I see among the abortion enthusiasts. (applause) From my perspective, it's so obviously a child sacrifice rite. “The number of unintended pregnancies in an age of universally available free birth control is probably pretty low. They happen, okay.  The wicked, gleeful enthusiasm that people have for abortion.” STUDENT: “Who is enthusiastic?” CARLSON: “Oh? Shout your abortion? (laughs) I think there's some enthusiasm. Putting an abortion truck outside the Democratic Convention? There's a lot of enthusiasm for it. “I kind of believed the ‘My body, my choice' thing. I really thought that's what it was about. Bodily autonomy.” STUDENT: “That is what's it's about?” CARLSON: “Really? So, where were you on the COVID Vax?” (cheers applause) It's not about that. What it's about is killing. It's about killing and the thrill that people derive from killing another human being and the power they feel when they kill.” STUDENT: “Is that a real argument that you're making?” CARLSON: “No, it's not an argument. It's a reality.  I've seen it when people plan wars. I've actually seen that happen. I've seen it when people in power show videos of them killing people with drones or whatever. And they get so high from it. There's no greater thrill than extinguishing life because that makes you ‘God.' I think that's the most evil thing there is, and one of the greatest temptations that people have is to kill because it makes them feel powerful.” Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Kulusumu Namulondo had to be hospitalized along with her two children, ages twelve and nine. Her husband proceeded to demolish the building of the church she had visited. Namulondo described the attack to Morning Star News. She said, “My husband hit my son with the walking stick several times, and he soon fell down screaming and wailing in great pain . . . While my son was on the ground, my husband started beating up me and my daughter. Thank God, neighbors arrived, and my husband fled away.” In Luke 18:29-30, Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.” Help victims of Hurricane Melissa  in Jamaica and Cuba Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica on Tuesday as a Category 5 storm. Melissa weakened to Category 3 before making landfall in Cuba yesterday.  The hurricane is one of the strongest ones on record in the Atlantic, killing dozens of people across the Caribbean. Christian charity organizations are mobilizing aid for victims of the hurricane. Samaritan's Purse announced it is “already preparing to respond as needed — with disaster relief specialists, materials, and aircraft all on standby.” You can give towards their relief effort through a link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.  Trump, Cruz and Johnson urge centrist Democrats to re-open gov't The Democrats in the U.S. Senate have now shut the U.S. government for 30 days, as they attempt to undo the provisions of President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill which ensured that only U.S. citizens would get taxpayer-funded health care. President Trump didn't pull any punches. TRUMP: “Today, I'm calling on every Senate Democrat to stop the madness, to let our country get back.   In the greatest moment in the history of our country, in terms of wealth, in terms of job creation, and in terms of investment coming in, these guys go on strike. It's really a shame! “So, I'm asking them to be smart. It's not working. They're getting killed in the polls. The public understands what they're doing. They're doing the wrong thing.” Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas explained that the Democrats have failed to stop the government shutdown. CRUZ: “Thirteen times now the Republicans have voted to open the government to pay the federal workers 13 times. The Democrats' party line have voted no, keep it shut down. Keep it shut down. Keep it shut down. “And at this point it's not even clear they have an exit ramp. I think they're going to continue this another week or two, and then at some point, seven or eight Democrats are going to have some sense come into them. I think it is very likely to be retiring Democrats who will never again face a primary election. So, they're more insulated from the crazy left wing base. “But we are watching performative art. We're not watching public policy. We're not watching elected officials. This is all about political saving Chuck Schumer's rear end.” And House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, described Senator Chuck Schumer as irredeemable. JOHNSON: “We have very important work to do here, and that's why we're pleading with them. Look, I think Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are irredeemable at this point. I don't think they'll be able to tell [New York City Mayoral candidate Zohran] Mondami, [a socialist], in New York and his disciples that they voted to open the government. “I've given up on the leadership. So, we're trying to appeal to a handful of moderates or centrists who care more about the American people and will put the people's interest over their own and do the right thing in the Senate.  There's no point in me sitting down with Chuck Schumer. He's painted himself into a corner.” The Congressional Budget office said that the economy could lose $14 billion over two months unless the government is reopened. If you have a Democrat U.S. Senator, call 202-224-3121 and urge him or her to re-open the government immediately. Half of U.S. states scored poorly on religious liberty The Napa Legal Institute released its 2025 Faith and Freedom Index on Monday. The report ranks states in the U.S. from 0-100 based on how well they treat faith-based nonprofits.  The states with the highest rankings on the index are Alabama (72%), Kansas (69%), Indiana (68%), Texas (65%), and Mississippi (63%). The states with the lowest rankings are Michigan (31%), Washington (35%), Massachusetts (37%), Maryland (38%), and Illinois (38%).  Sadly, over half of the states scored below 50% on the religious liberty index.  Nvidia now valued at $5 trillion Nvidia became the first company yesterday to reach a market value of $5 trillion. The tech company started with video game processors. Now it is a major producer of computer chips for the artificial intelligence industry.  The record valuation follows growth announcements from the company, including plans to build seven supercomputers for the U.S. government.  Apple and Microsoft, two other tech companies, are not far behind with market valuations of around $4 trillion.  America's debt has surpassed $38 trillion The U.S. government's gross national debt surpassed $38 trillion last Wednesday. That's up a trillion dollars from just August of this year.  The U.S. government debt as a percentage of gross domestic product stood at 120% last year, according to the International Monetary Fund. That's one of the highest debt-to-GDP ratios in the world. Only Japan, Venezuela, Greece, and Italy are higher.     (Look at the U.S. Debt clock.) Federal Reserve cut interest rate by quarter percent The Federal Reserve cut its benchmark interest rate by a quarter-point for the second time this year. This brings the rate to a range between 3.75% and 4%. That's the lowest it's been in three years.  The Fed's announcement noted, “Available indicators suggest that economic activity has been expanding at a moderate pace. Job gains have slowed this year, and the unemployment rate has edged up but remained low. …Inflation has moved up since earlier in the year and remains somewhat elevated.” Museum of the Bible displaying oldest copies of Jonah and 1 Peter And finally, CBN News reports the Museum of the Bible is displaying the oldest-known complete copies of Jonah and 1 Peter.  The pages come from the Crosby–Schøyen Codex which dates back 1,800 years. The text is written in the ancient Coptic language.  It's the first time the pages from the codex have been available to the public since 1988.  Dr. Bobby Duke is the Chief Curatorial Officer at the Museum of the Bible. Listen to comments he made to CBN News.  DUKE: “This dates back to about 250 A.D. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson South African government regulating churches Earlier this month, the South African government agency, known as the Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Rights Commission, launched a committee to regulate churches in the country. The new committee will most likely make determinations as to “what qualifies as a religion,” who may be recognized as a religious leader, and where churches may worship. The concern is also that this governmental power would force churches to come under State-approved umbrella bodies. The nation's churches have scheduled a march to the Parliament building in Cape Town, the capital of South Africa, on November 13th. South Africa rejects self-defense as reason to own a gun The South African Parliament is also considering additional restrictions on firearms to remove “self-defense” as a valid reason to own a gun. This would remove meaningful protection for families, farms, and churches from violent criminals, in one of the most violent nations on Earth. The Communists and the left-leaning African National Congress have 51% control of the South African parliament. Turmoil in Chinese Communist Party The Chinese Communist government is still in turmoil. At this moment, 38 of the 205 members of the central committee failed to appear for the big Plenum session last week. Of the 33 generals on the Committee, 22 were missing. Trump to meet with Chinese president Xi Jinping on Asian tour President Donald Trump met with Japan's newly elected Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi yesterday. This week, he will move on to high level meetings in South Korea and China, with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.  The White House announced that President Trump has signed historic peace deals with Cambodia and Thailand, trade deals with Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam, and minerals deals with Malaysia and Thailand. Javier Milei's mid-term election triumph in Argentina The results for Argentina's mid-term elections are in.  And Javier Milei's Libertarian Party crushed it, reports Reuters. Now, Milei's party has 41% control of the legislature which is up from 26% in 2023. The left wing party dropped off from 44% to 32% which is an 11% decline. Milei's agenda will have stronger legislative backing for more reforms in tax reduction and deregulation of business for the country. Bolivia rejects socialism And, by God's sovereign order of things, Bolivia has a new president as of last week, reports CBS News. Rodrigo Paz is more centrist — a change after 20 years of socialism in this mountainous country of South America. Not surprisingly, socialist countries like Venezuela and Bolivia are the poorest countries in all of South America. King Charles III glorified sodomy King Charles III of England glorified homosexuality yesterday by placing flowers at a newly constructed memorial to homosexuals serving in the nation's military, reports The Times. Prince Charles's mentor and uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten, served as Britain's Chief of Defense in the 1960s, and was reported in 2019 as “a homosexual with a perversion for young boys.” King Charles III joined Pope Leo XIV for worship King Charles III made other news headlines last week, when he participated in a public worship service with the Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIV.   This was the first time a reigning British monarch joined the Pope for such events since the Reformation. King Charles and his wife, Camilla, sat on golden thrones under Michelangelo's "Last Judgment" fresco in the Sistine Chapel for the ecumenical service.  Joel 3 reminds us of God's judgement.   “Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow — for their wickedness is great.” Putin celebrates successful test of missile Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrated a successful test for the Burevestnik missile over the weekend, reports CBS News. Putin announced that the armament was ready for deployment, after it completed a 10,000-mile flight. Plus, according to the Russian military, the missile “successfully performed all designated vertical and horizontal maneuvers, demonstrating its strong ability to evade anti-missile and air defense systems.” Hurricane Melissa: Biggest one to hit Caribbean Category 5 Hurricane Melissa is barreling down on Jamaica. It's the strongest hurricane to hit the Caribbean nation in recorded history.  America's most lethal aircraft carrier off Venezuelan coast Meanwhile, the U.S. Military is sending its most lethal aircraft carrier from European waters into the Caribbean for the ongoing drug war, now heating up somewhere off the shores of Venezuela, reports TheHill.com. The main target for the flurry of activity appears to be Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, whom the Trump administration has called an “illegitimate leader.” Appearing on CBS's Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina was asked about possible land strikes in Venezuela. BRENNAN: “Are land strikes planned?” GRAHAM: “Yeah, I think that's a real possibility. I think President Trump's made a decision that [Venezuelan President Nicolás] Maduro, the leader of Venezuela, is an indicted drug trafficker, that it's time for him to go. Venezuela and Colombia have been safe havens for ‘narco terrorists' for too long.” Oil likely will cost less in 2026 America's oil wells are pumping it out.   Chevron CEO Mike Wirth told Fox Business host Maria Bartiroma, that gas prices in 2026 may very well be lower than they were this year. BARTIROMA: “Can you give us a sense of what you would expect for 2026?” WIRTH: “Yeah, I think we see supply growing, particularly from the OPEC-supplying countries, and demand growing steadily. But as this supply comes back, it's weighing on commodity markets. So, we're prepared for prices in ‘26 to be lower than they were in ‘25.” Christian pastors arrested for child p*rn And finally, assorted national news stories report that Christian pastors and leaders have been recently arrested for possession of extreme evil forms of pornography involving children.   Singer and worship leader Jon Paul Sheptock, of First Montgomery Baptist Church, is under arrest, reports the Baptist Press.  The Idaho Statesman reports that the senior pastor at Sovereign Grace Fellowship in Nampa, Idaho was arrested for handling images of a “horrific” nature. Another Baptist youth pastor from Greenville, South Carolina was just sentenced to twenty years for a similar offense. A pastor of the House of Prayer Christian Church in Georgia has been indicted by a federal court for similar offenses. And another former youth pastor at the Southcoast church in Goleta, California has been arrested on related charges. Jeremiah speaks of religious scandals in the churches. The prophet wrote, “My heart within me is broken because of the prophets. . . For the land is full of adulterers; For because of a curse the land mourns. The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil, and their might is not right. “For both prophet and priest are profane; Yes, in My house I have found their wickedness,” says the Lord.
