(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian activists call for self-defense measures for Christians In the middle of the night, Islamic Fulani militias brutally killed seven Nigerian Christian men in a coordinated attack on a mining site in the Plateau State, reports International Christian Concern. The incident has reignited long-standing fears of targeted violence against Christian communities and intensified calls for lawful self-defense amid persistent insecurity. Military sources confirmed that the attack occurred at about 1 a.m. last Thursday when Islamic Fulani militias stormed the site, opening fire on miners who had remained overnight. At the graveside, grief gave way to anger, frustration, and an unmistakable sense of abandonment. Weeping relatives and neighbors spoke of fathers and sons lost — not in open combat, but while struggling to survive in an economy that has pushed many into mining at night which has been banned. Human rights advocate Alex Barbir said, “This is no longer just about illegal mining. It is about our people being hunted in the night, killed without mercy, and buried without justice. How long do we continue to die quietly?” He argued that communities must be empowered to defend themselves where the state has repeatedly failed to provide adequate security. Rev. Dachomo agreed, saying, “We preach peace, but peace must not mean surrender to slaughter.  The right to life is sacred, and protecting that life is not a crime.” Anglican pastor protests confirmation of woke female Archbishop of Canterbury The formal confirmation of Sarah Mullally as the new Anglican archbishop of Canterbury was interrupted when a bold pastor publicly objected and was forcibly removed from the service, reports LifeSiteNews.com. On Wednesday, during the Confirmation of Election service for Sarah Mullally at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, Anglican pastor Paul Williamson stood up and shouted his objection after the officiant falsely declared that no opposition had been presented, leading to his restraint and removal from the cathedral by security personnel. Listen. OFFICIANT: “Endorsed on this mandate is a certificate which verifies that public notice was duly given as required and that no person has appeared in opposition to the confirmation.” WILLIAMSON: “I did!” (rest of audio undiscernible) Williamson claimed he was "nearly pushed down the stairs" outside by "four heavies" during his removal from the cathedral on Wednesday. Williamson's protest highlighted ongoing divisions over Mullally's appointment within the Anglican Communion, which has been fracturing for years over sexuality and gender.  1 Corinthians 14:24 says, “Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.” On January 26, 2015, during the consecration service at York Minster for Libby Lane, who was to become the Church of England's first female bishop, Williamson was the lone dissenting voice when the gathered clergy were asked whether she should be ordained. And, in 2005, Williamson protested against the legality of the marriage of Charles, Prince of Wales to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, reported The Guardian. Trump warns Iran 'time is running out' as US military builds up in Gulf President Donald Trump has warned Iran that "time is running out" to negotiate a deal on its nuclear program following the steady build-up of US military forces in the Gulf, reports the British Broadcasting Corporation. The US president said a "massive Armada" was "moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose" towards Iran, referring to a large US naval fleet. In response, Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, said the country's armed forces were ready "with their fingers on the trigger" to "immediately and powerfully respond" to any aggression by land or sea. Trump's latest warning follows his promise that Washington will intervene to help those involved in the brutal and unprecedented crackdown on protests in the country earlier this month. Demonstrations began after a sharp fall in the value of the Iranian currency, but swiftly evolved into a crisis of legitimacy for the country's clerical leadership of the Islamic regime. Apple cider vinegar was sprayed on Rep. Ilhan Omar A man accused of attacking Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, a Somali-American, during a town hall event on Tuesday reportedly sprayed apple cider vinegar on her, reports Fox News. Anthony James Kazmierczak, age 55, was seen on video lunging at Congresswoman Omar while spraying an unknown substance on her shirt out of a syringe. Right before the attack, Omar called for the resignation or impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, following two fatal shootings involving federal immigration enforcement agents in Minneapolis. Listen to the lead up to the attack. OMAR: “DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment.” (audio of attack) At the time of the attack, Kazmierczak said, “She's not resigning. You're splitting Minnesotans apart,” according to The Western Journal. Man paints over heretical billboard to read 'Jesus is God' A viral video shows a man painting over a heretical billboard campaign in California, altering the message to read, “The Bible says … Jesus is ___ God,” reports The Christian Post. The undated video shows an unidentified man atop a billboard platform with the Los Angeles skyline behind it as he paints over the word “Not” in the ad which had initially stated “Jesus is Not God”, transforming the billboard into a proclamation of faith.  World's Last Chance, the group behind the billboard, claims the message is part of “four billboard themes that dare to shatter the chains of long-held misconceptions.” In addition to the Jesus billboard, which adds the text, “Jesus did not pre-exist in Heaven,” the group's website lists three others, including one that attacks Trinitarian theology and another promoting the so-called “flat earth” theory. In addition to the billboard campaign, the World's Last Chance website features several videos purportedly “debunking” the deity of Jesus and the Trinity.  The billboard campaign has been reportedly spotted in California, Georgia, and other states. In a January 21st video, author and Living Waters founder and CEO Ray Comfort responded to the billboard remodeling job with a stark warning about the impact of false teaching in the public square. COMFORT: “These signs have been erected by a strange sect that claims to believe the Scriptures, yet openly denies the deity of Christ -- a contradiction the Bible doesn't permit. “Scripture plainly teaches that God was manifest in the flesh [1 Timothy 3:16] and that Jesus Christ is ‘the image of the invisible God' [Colossians 1:15] and ‘the express image of His person.' [Hebrews 1:3] Jesus Himself said, ‘I came down from Heaven,' [John 6:38] and ‘Before Abraham was, I am' [John 8:58], a direct claim to deity that His hearers understood clearly. “He is not merely a moral teacher or a created being, but the Creator Himself. ‘For all things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made.' [John 1:3] The Bible warns that any teaching that denies the Son is not from God.  ‘Who is a liar? He that denies that Jesus is the Christ, he is the Antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.' [1 John 2:22]. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Mexican authorities expelled Protestant pastor Authorities in southern Mexico expelled a Protestant pastor from their community this month. The issue began after Pastor Velásquez Martínez refused to participate in a Roman Catholic ritual due to his religious beliefs. Local authorities detained him for five days without charge before expelling him and his family. Evangelical families can face arrest, fines, and expulsion in parts of Mexico for their faith. Mexico is ranked 30th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most oppressive countries to be a Christian.  Catholicism declining in Latin America Analysis by Pew Research found that Catholicism has declined in Latin America over the past decade. Catholicism remains the largest religion across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. However, it has declined in the region by at least nine percent over the last 10 years. Meanwhile, the religiously unaffiliated have grown rapidly in Latin America. Protestantism has also grown in the region but only by a slight margin. United States withdrew from World Health Organization The United States officially withdrew from the World Health Organization last Thursday. This comes a year after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to initiate the process. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services stated, “This decision was driven by profound failures in the WHO's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic originating in Wuhan, China.” The withdrawal ends U.S. funding for the World Health Organization. The group is also known for its support of abortion and sexually perverted lifestyles. Thousands of California pro-lifers march Tens of thousands of pro-lifers joined the 22nd Annual Walk for Life West Coast in California on Saturday.  Participants filled the streets of San Francisco in the financial district for more than a mile. Rally co-chair Eva Muntean said, “After 22 years I still find it hard to believe how blessed we are. When I see the enormous crowd that we had today—especially so many young people standing up with love and hope for women and children. I am filled with gratitude and hope. You can't come to the Walk without seeing the promise of a better world!” Psalm 27:13-14 says, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!” Washington man stabbed for being a Christian Sadly, a man suffered an attack over his religion on Sunday morning in Washington state. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office reports they found the man in serious condition. The victim said a stranger approached him and asked what religion he was. He said something about being a Christian. In response, the stranger attacked and stabbed the victim and his dog. The perpetrator died after a confrontation with police.  The Christian Post reports that the victim has been released from a local hospital.  U.S. population down as Trump expels illegals The U.S. population growth rate is slowing as the Trump administration cracks down on illegal immigration.  New data from the U.S. Census Bureau found the population reached nearly 342 million people last year. The 2025 growth rate was half a percent, down from almost one percent in 2024. Christine Hartley with the Census Bureau said, “With births and deaths remaining relatively stable compared to the prior year, the sharp decline in net international migration is the main reason for the slower growth rate we see today.” Geopolitical and economic uncertainly drives gold up. As The Worldview reported yesterday, the price for spot gold reached $5,100 an ounce, a record. That's up 18% so far this year. Ryan McIntyre, president at Sprott Inc., told Reuters, “Gold prices continue to be supported by elevated geopolitical and economic uncertainty. Central banks remain strong buyers as they diversify foreign exchange reserves and reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar.” 100-year-old great grandfather speaks at kindergarten class And finally, CBS News reports that a kindergartener in Georgia recently brought her 100-year-old great-grandfather to class. This was to celebrate K.J. Schmansky's 100th day of school this year at Saint Thomas More School in Decatur. Her great-grandfather, Sonny Ragan, was born on October 8, 1925. He got to share 100 years of wisdom with the young class. When asked what keeps him going, Ragan said it's faith and family. 1 Peter 3:10-11 says, “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Iran Int'l News reports 36,500 protestors killed by Islamic regime As The Worldview reported yesterday, the latest report of the death count for the recent Iranian protests is now at 36,500, according to Iran International News.   (audio of Iranian officials shooting unarmed protestors) This information reportedly comes from Interior Ministry documents. The government carried out 4,000 clashes at various locations around the country over a two-day period earlier in the month. Iran's Health Ministry also revealed that the hospitals in the country performed 13,000 surgeries following the protests. Iran's internet blackout is going into its 19th day today.  Iran International also reports that government officials are still carrying out “extrajudicial killings, deaths under torture, and the systematic mistreatment of detainees and their families.” Several of our sources have reported multiple Christians killed in the conflict.  Communist Chinese president purged military generals China's President and Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping has completed his purge of military generals, beginning with top brass Zhang Youxia and at least 17 other generals, reports NTDTV.com. The Economist called this “the largest political purge of the military's top ranks since Mao Zedong's death in 1976.” Assaults on ICE officers increased by 1,300% in 2025 over 2024 Public protests are increasing in the United States. Last year, the Crowd Counting Consortium counted 10,700 protests in the U.S. That's a 133% increase over 2024. So far this month, there have been 628 protests, the largest of which have centered in Minnesota, Illinois, and California. Disturbingly, the protests have increased in violence. The Department of Homeland Security recently reported a 1,300% increase in assaults against I.C.E. officers in 2025 (over the previous year), and a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks. Rest assured, where human justice may fail, Ecclesiastes 12:14 assures us that “God shall bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.” Shooting death of Minneapolis man sparks gun control debate The January 24th fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis by law enforcement has sparked a debate on gun control. Apparently, the protester was armed at the time of his encounter with the I.C.E. agent. Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli took to X, commenting that, "If you approach law enforcement with a gun, there is a high likelihood they will be legally justified in shooting you."  However, the pro-gun group, the National Rifle Association, said, "Responsible public voices should be awaiting a full investigation, not making generalizations and demonizing law-abiding citizens.” Plus, Gun Owners for America noted, "The Second Amendment protects Americans' right to bear arms while protesting ‒ a right the federal government must not infringe upon." GOP Rep. Thomas Massie and Barack Obama weigh in on ICE killing GOP U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky also jumped into the fray. He said, ”Carrying a firearm is not a death sentence;  it's a Constitutionally-protected, God-given right. And, if you don't understand this, you have no business in law enforcement or government." No comment from the liberal media on Mr. Pretti's choice to carry a gun to the protest. Then, former President Barack Obama took to X on Sunday to encourage the American public to “support and draw inspiration from” what he calls “the peaceful protests in Minneapolis.” Satan worshippers thank Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Speaking of Minnesota, Republican State Representative Pam Altendorf revealed on video a disturbing display recognizing Satan in the state Capitol. ALTENDORF: “As I was leaving my committee meeting today here earlier, I noticed that there is a new display here at the State Capitol, and it's for Governor [Tim] Walz.” The inscription says, “The Democratic Coalition of Satan Worshippers thanks Gov. Tim Walz for not standing in the way of spreading Satanism in the state Capitol building.” Rep. Altendorf concluded with this. ALTENDORF: “Yes, everyone, this is true. I am live, not making this up. You can't make this up. (laughs) I don't know why a governor of a state would want this plaque, but there it is. “The Satan worshipers have thanked Governor Tim Walz, and let me repeat this.  The last line says, ‘Satan has a special place for you.' I'm speechless.” In Exodus 20:3, God revealed to Moses atop Mt. Sinai, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Charismatic leader accused of “fabricated” prophecies and sexual sin The charismatic church is taking more hits from reports concerning alleged scandalous activities of a homosexual nature. Shawn Bolz was platformed by Bethel over a period of ten years.  Bethel leadership now admits to have continued platforming Bolz despite their knowing of his “fabricated” prophecies and alleged sexual sin, reports CBN News. Multiple Christian news organizations have headlined this new revelation in an ongoing series of scandals in the evangelical/charismatic church involving Bill Hybels, Carl Lentz, Mike Bickel, Brian Houston, T.D. Jakes, Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, and Jimmy Swaggart.  The deluge of scandals has taken its toll on the nation. Public trust in pastors here is now the lowest in recorded history. According to Lifeway Research, only 27% of Americans say they have a high trust in pastors, down from an average of 56% between 2000 and 2009. Here's a reminder from 1 Corinthians 11:31 and 32. “If we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.  But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.” Gold and silver prices soar Gold and silver prices continue to soar. Now, $5,100 per ounce for gold, up from $2,600 just a year ago, reports Reuters. And silver today is $110 per pounce, up from $30 a year ago. 36 states consider anti-transgender bills And finally, at last count, 36 state governments are floating 366 bills which would put the brakes on the advance of “transgender rights,” limit the public display of drag queens, and allow religious exemptions for churches, schools, and businesses that are morally opposed to homosexuality and transgenderism. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus The Iranian protests are putting Christians at greater risk The Islamic Republic of Iran is hostile to protestors and Christians alike. Lana Silk of the Christian organization Transform Iran said, “Police are indiscriminately shooting into the crowds. The people try to fight back, but they are unarmed and almost entirely defenseless.” She is certain that more than 12,000 Iranians have been killed, and quite possibly 30,000 or more, reports International Christian Concern. She said, “The streets are now being patrolled by tanks and aggressive armed security forces. People are being rounded up, beaten, imprisoned, and killed. Men, women, and children, it doesn't matter.” Anyone who dares to go outside is in danger. Though Iran's Islamic regime, where 95% of the population is Muslim, treats almost none of its people well, it tends to be especially ruthless with its Christian minority. Iran is currently ranked as the 10th-most oppressive country for Christians. The Iranian government makes no secret about its attitude toward Christianity. Such worship in the country's main language -- Persian, also known as Farsi -- is essentially outlawed, as is any Christian literature written in that language. Matthew 5:10 says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” Vice President Vance announces expansion of Mexico City Policy Appearing at the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Vice President J.D. Vance spoke up for life, reports LifeNews.com. VANCE: “With the Dobbs decision, what the President did, what the Supreme Court did, was put a definitive end to the tyranny of judicial rule on the question of human life. He shattered a 50-year culture of disposability, one that treated human life as expendable the moment that it became inconvenient. And he empowered our nation and our movement to build a culture of life from the grassroots up.” Vice President Vance outlined some of the Trump administration's pro-life accomplishments. VANCE: “We started by undoing the evils we saw under the previous administration, like, for example, throwing priests and grandmothers in prison for praying outside a[n abortion] clinic. That's over; we stopped it. (cheers) “Where the previous administration mandated taxpayer funding for abortions, including travel costs across the entire government, this administration ended it. (cheers) We have expanded conscience protections for health care workers and defended faith based foster care and adoption. “This administration launched fraud investigations into Planned Parenthood affiliates (cheers) for millions of dollars in [Paycheck Protection Program] loans that were unlawfully received and unlawfully forgiven by the Biden administration. You should not be able to commit fraud and use taxpayer money for abortion. It's that simple! (cheers) “At many of our departments, we've reinstated a ban on the use of fetal tissue in federal research. That's another big one, and this is something we're so proud of. We're returning accountability to our foreign policy as well. “Under Joe Biden, it was the policy of the United States to export abortion and radical gender ideology all around the world. That is what they did with your tax money. (boos) They would relentlessly bully developing countries into parroting their far left views. But under President Trump's leadership, and with our great Secretary of State, we believe that every country in the world has the duty to protect life.” And Vice President Vance cited an expansion of the pro-life Mexico City policy. VANCE: “Today, our administration is proud to announce a historic expansion of the Mexico City policy. We're going to start blocking every international [non-governmental organization] that performs or promotes abortion abroad from receiving $1 of U.S. money. (cheers) We're expanding this policy to protect life, to combat DEI, and the radical gender ideologies that prey on our children. “The rule will now cover every non-military foreign assistance that America sends. All in all, we have expanded the Mexico City policy about three times as big as it was before. And we're proud of it because we believe in fighting for life.” Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” ICE shot and killed man in Minneapolis Federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old man in Minneapolis on Saturday morning, less than three weeks after an ICE agent fatally shot Renee Good, amid an ongoing surge in immigration enforcement action across the city, reports CBS News. Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who worked at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration hospital, was identified as the man killed by a Border Patrol agent. CBS News in Minneapolis reported, “Videos from the scene show that Pretti was holding a cellphone, not a gun, when he was shot.”  However, ICE Commander Gregory Bovino said the agent acted in self-defense after attempting to disarm Pretti. Listen. BOVINO: “An individual approached us Border Patrol agents with a nine millimeter, semi-automatic handgun. The agents attempted to disarm the individual, but he violently resisted. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, a Border Patrol agent fired defensive shots. “Medics on the scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but the subject was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect also had two loaded magazines and no accessible ID. “This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement. Then, about 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement.” That's when an armored ICE vehicle was pelted by stones by angry Leftists. (audio from the streets of Minneapolis) Trump sues JPMorgan Chase for $5 billion over 'political' debanking And finally, President Donald Trump is suing the JPMorgan Chase bank and its CEO Jamie Dimon in a $5 billion lawsuit filed last Thursday, accusing the financial institution of debanking Trump for political reasons, reports Fox Business. The president's attorney, Alejandro Brito, filed the lawsuit Thursday morning in Florida state court in Miami on behalf of the president and several of his hospitality companies. Brito quoted JPMorgan's code of conduct, which states that the bank operates "with the highest level of integrity and ethical conduct." The Trump lawsuit asserts, "Despite claiming to hold these principles dear, [J.P. Morgan Chase violated them by unilaterally—and without warning or remedy—terminating several of [the] Plaintiff's bank accounts." This is not the first time. Or were they aware of the broader, medieval Europe that modern historians write about?  Christian Raffensperger's edited volume Authorship, Worldview, and Identity in Medieval Europe (Routledge, 2022) brings the focus back to medieval authors to see how they describe their world. While we see in these essays that each author certainly had their own biases, the vast majority of them did not view the world as constrained to their small piece of it. Instead, they talked about the wider world, and often they had informants or textual sources that informed them about the world, even if they did not visit those distant places themselves. This volume shows that they also used similar ideas to create space and identity – whether talking about the desert, the holy land, or food practices in their texts. By examining medieval authors and their own perceptions of their world, this collection offers a framework for discussions of medieval Europe in the 21st century. In this conversation we talk about how this volume goes about broadening both the geographical scope and methodological approaches to reading medieval sources. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Iran makes large sums of money off the backs of persecuted Christians Iran has an open secret. Persecuting Christians is a booming business in the Muslim-majority nation, and the country is earning large sums of money from arresting Christ followers, reports International Christian Concern. Fines and bail amounts imposed by Iranian courts have reached hundreds of thousands of dollars in recent years, financially crippling poor Christian families trying to keep their loved ones out of prison. For years, the Middle Eastern nation has targeted Christians for their faith in Christ through intimidation, physical abuse, and imprisonment. But what's often overlooked are the exorbitant bail amounts doled out to Christ followers simply to keep themselves out of jail. Joseph Shahbazian, leader of a Christian house church, was arrested in June 2020 for his Christian activities and given a bail amount of $163,000. After pleading with the court and handing over the deeds to his and his mother's apartments, the court accepted $109,000 on Shahbazian's behalf. Proverbs 22:22-23 says, "Do not rob the poor because he is poor, nor oppress the afflicted at the gate; For the LORD will plead their cause, and plunder the soul of those who plunder them." Shahbazian was released from prison in 2023 after serving a little more than a year in jail, but was rearrested in 2025 for his continued Christian activities and sentenced to an additional 10 years in jail. According to Open Doors, Iran is the sixth most difficult country worldwide for Christians. Trump ends all tax-funded research with aborted baby parts On January 22nd, the 53rd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, President Donald Trump ended federal funding for research involving the use of aborted baby parts. It's a major victory for pro-life advocates that halts taxpayer support for such studies effective immediately, reports The Daily Wire. The National Institutes of Health announced the policy change on Thursday. The move prohibits the use of funds for research involving aborted baby parts obtained from elective abortions, while allowing ethical fetal tissue from sources such as miscarriages when donors consent. NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya said, “Someone who has had a miscarriage and wants to do a meaningful thing and they donate the tissue from the miscarriage to science, that's still allowed. The only ban is on, you have an abortion specifically to terminate the baby, and then the tissue then gets sold, that's what's being banned,” something he described as “morally abhorrent.” Rescue Resurrection protesters plead with Trump to ban abortion pill People from as far away as California and Georgia came to the nation's capital Thursday morning to plead with the Trump administration to ban the abortion kill pill, which is now easily available by mail and has led to a shocking increase of abortions following the Supreme Court's overturn of Roe v. Wade, reports LifeSiteNews.com. In the shadow of the U.S. Capitol dome, 20 people with Rescue Resurrection were arrested by United States Capitol Police outside the Health and Human Services headquarters as they sat down in the middle of the street. They were singing. RESCUE RESURRECTION: “Help us tell the nation we want a pro-life revolution. Help us tell the nation we want a pro-life revolution” POLICEMAN: “Everyone is now under arrest. You will be placed in handcuffs.” RESCUE RESURRECTION: “Ban the abortion pill!” POLICEMAN: “If you don't plan on being arrested, leave the street. If you don't plan on being arrested, you need to go onto the sidewalk.” Some of the members of Rescue Resurrection had been incarcerated under the F.A.C.E. Act by the Biden Justice Department and then pardoned by President Donald Trump. Elderly pro-life icon Joan Andrews Bell was kneeling before a group of police carried her off of the street and cuffed her. Emily Berning, president of Let Them Live, said, “The chemical abortion pill has become the chemical coat hanger, and the bathroom has become the new back alley. The abortion pill is twenty-two times more dangerous than the FDA told the American people. When the truth is buried, women are the ones who bleed in silence. “And that is why we're standing here outside HHS. HHS is not a bystander in this. HHS has the authority to regulate and the power to act, [yet] they still have allowed a dangerous drug to remain on the market.” JD Vance & Second Lady announce they're expecting fourth child Second Lady Usha Vance announced she is pregnant and will deliver a boy  in late July, according to a Tuesday statement on social media. This will be the fourth child for Vice President J.D. Vance and Usha, and their third son. U.S. to gain “total access” to Greenland without payment On January 22nd, President Donald Trump said that the United States is negotiating an arrangement to secure full access to Greenland with no payment in return and unconstrained by any time limit, reports the Epoch Times. He appeared on Fox Business with Maria Bartiromo. Listen. BARTIROMO: “So, what are we talking about? An acquisition of Greenland? Are you going to pay for it?” TRUMP: “Essentially, it's total access. There's no end. There's no time limit. We're not doing, you know, the famous '99-year' deals that you hear about. Countries go on longer. I noticed the stock market went up pretty substantially after we announced it.” BARTIROMO: “The [Gross Domestic Product] of Greenland is like $3.3 billion, but people are valuing Greenland between $50 billion and almost a trillion [dollars]. So, what are you willing to pay for Greenland?” TRUMP: “Well, I'm not going to have to pay anything.” The president has described U.S control of the Arctic island as critical to both national and international security.  Indeed, Greenland will be an essential property to facilitate the much-anticipated Golden Dome, the U.S. missile defense system that will destroy enemy missiles before they launch or while they are in flight. It will be patterned after Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system. TRUMP: “We're going to have total access to Greenland. We're going to have all military access that we want. We're going to be able to put what we need on Greenland. We're talking about national security and international security. We are building the Golden Dome, and it'll be Israel times probably a hundred.” 7 Democrats voted with GOP to pass DHS/ICE spending bill Seven Democrats voted with Republicans on Thursday to pass a Department of Homeland Security spending bill, despite opposition from their own Democratic leadership, reports Fox News. The DHS bill will be bundled alongside three other spending bills, totaling a combined $1.2 trillion in federal spending. The entire package's passing is a significant step toward averting a government shutdown come January 30th. It passed in a 220-207 vote with the help of seven Democrats. Only one Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, voted in opposition.  According to TheHill.com, the seven Democrats who sided with Republicans were Reps. Henry Cuellar of Texas, Jared Golden of Maine, Marie Perez of Washington, Laura Gillen of New York, Don Davis of North Carolina, Tom Suozzi of New York and Vicente Gonzalez of Texas. Anniversary of hymnwriter deaths who wrote “Holy, holy, holy” and “Jesus Loves Me” And finally, we recognize the anniversary of the deaths of two Christian hymnwriters, both of whom died on January 22nd. John Dykes, who died on January 22, 1876, composed the music to the hymn "Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!"  sung here by Shane & Shane. SHANE AND SHANE: “Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Chinese-American Christians pray for those in China Chinese-American Christians are praying for their persecuted brothers and sisters back in China. Earlier this month, Harvest Chinese Christian Church in Los Angeles held an event called “Fasting Prayer Meeting for Persecuted Churches in China.” The event comes shortly after Chinese authorities detained the leaders of Early Rain Covenant Church. The congregation, like many “unregistered” churches in China, faces relentless persecution. International Christian Concern commented, “Please pray for these house church members in China, especially those who have been imprisoned or are missing after the police raids.” 1 Corinthians 12:26 says, “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” China's birth rate plunged to a record low in 2025 Speaking of China, the country's birth rates plunged to a record low in 2025. New data from China's National Bureau of Statistics found there were 7.92 million births last year, down 17% from 2024. The birth rate in 2025 was 5.63 per 1,000 people. Meanwhile, the death rate rose to 8.04 per 1,000 people. Despite China's recent attempts to incentivize families to have children, the population has now fallen for the fourth consecutive year. In Genesis 1:28, God commanded, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the Earth and subdue it.” British Christian nurse vindicated for calling a man “Mister” In the United Kingdom, a National Health Service hospital recently dropped its case against a Christian nurse. Jennifer Melle worked at St. Helier Hospital in south London. She faced suspension after referring to a man, pretending to be a woman, as “Mister.” Listen to comments she made after her vindication. MELLE: “I am deeply relieved and grateful to hear that St Helier [Hospital] has confirmed it would no longer take further action against me. This has been an incredibly long and painful journey.   “Today, I want to give thanks, first and foremost, to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who has sustained me every step of the way.” Young Canadians are planning to vote conservative Young adults in Canada are planning to vote conservative in the country's next election. A survey by Abacus Data found 50% of Canadians aged 18 to 29 would vote for the Conservative Party. Only 27% of that demographic would vote for the Liberal Party. The strongest support for the Liberals comes from people over 60. A decade of liberal polices has led to higher living costs, higher inflation, and higher taxes. Trump: “I will not use force” to get Greenland Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.  Notably, he announced that the United States would not use force to acquire Greenland. TRUMP: “We probably won't get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be, frankly, unstoppable. But I won't do that. Okay. Now everyone's saying, ‘Oh, good!' “That's probably the biggest statement I've made because people thought I would use force. I don't have to use force. I don't want to use force. I won't use force.” President Trump also announced he will not be imposing tariffs on Denmark over the acquisition of Greenland. He wrote on Truth Social, “We have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region.” Arrests coming for Minneapolis leftists who invaded church service The Trump administration is investigating anti-ICE protesters who disrupted a house of worship in Minneapolis on Sunday. Kristi Noem, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, wrote on X, “Arrests coming. … The First Amendment protects speech and peaceful assembly – not rioting. … These agitators will be held accountable.” The Department of Justice is also investigating the incident at Cities Church. Major snowstorm hits East Coast to Rocky Mountains The National Weather Service is expecting a significant winter storm to hit a large portion of the U.S. starting Friday. Heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain is forecast all the way from the southern Rockies to the East Coast.  Much of the U.S. is already experiencing dangerously cold weather. Over 40 million people were under cold weather alerts as of Tuesday. Even parts of Florida are under alert. 463rd anniversary of Heidelberg Catechism And finally, this week marks the 463rd anniversary of the Heidelberg Catechism. The Protestant catechism was commissioned by Frederick III, the ruler of Germany's most influential province of Palatinate. The purpose of the catechism was for instructing the youth and for guiding pastors and teachers The catechism was the product of two young Protestant scholars—Zacharius Ursinus and Caspar Olevianus. The catechism was approved by a church synod in Heidelberg, Germany and published in German on January 19, 1563. It would become the most widely used catechism of the Reformation period.  The catechism's opening question reads, “What is your only comfort in life and death?” The answer begins, “That I am not my own, but belong—body and soul, in life and in death—to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.” Romans 14:8 says, “For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. It's Wednesday, January 21st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims kidnapped 160 people, many of whom are Christians Armed bandits raided three church services in Nigeria on Sunday. The suspected Fulani Muslim militants kidnapped over 160 people in Kaduna State. Morning Star News reports it could be the largest mass kidnapping of Christian farmers in the area. Rev. Joseph John Hayab is the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria for the country's north. He told media outlets, “The terrorists invaded the churches while worship services were on. They held the worshippers hostage and marched them out into the bushes.” An eyewitness told TruthNigeria, “It was around 10 a.m. on Sunday. I was in our Evangelical Church Winning All church when we suddenly heard gunshots everywhere.  The gunmen were shouting that everyone should lie  down or be killed.” In addition, he said some of the assailants wore black robes with black head turbans, and others were outfitted with “shabby-looking Nigerian Army camouflage uniforms.” The man and his 10-year-old son escaped through a window while the Muslim assailants were forcing the congregation out. Sadly, local police are acting as if nothing happened.  Psalm 14:4 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?” UK court: Men not allowed in female changing room A court in the United Kingdom ruled against a hospital's transgender policy last week. The landmark ruling said that Darlington Memorial Hospital discriminated against eight female nurses. The nurses simply objected to a man, pretending to be a woman, from using their changing room.  The Christian Legal Centre supported the nurses in the case. Andrea Williams, Chief Executive of the Christian Legal Centre, commented, “The [National Health System] and the government should now give up their sabotage of clear judicial decisions and abide by the law which acknowledges that men are men and women are women.” Britain tracks new Christian songs Britain's Official Charts Company is launching a new official singles chart for Christian music this month. AStepFWD, the organization behind the U.K. Christian Charts, has partnered with the Official Charts Company to introduce the Official Christian & Gospel Singles Chart. Christian Today reports the chart will “formally recognize the growing impact of faith-based music within the wider U.K. music landscape.” 10,000 Christians gather in France's March for Life Around 10,000 people gathered in Paris on Sunday for France's annual March for Life. AUDIO:  (Marchers chanting for life in French.) The event highlighted opposition to legislation that would legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide.  Listen to this testimony from a French marcher through a translator. POST-ABORTIVE WOMAN: “I had an abortion under circumstances where my fiancé forced me to do it so that we could get married, and it literally broke me. But God saved me. God healed me and helped me rebuild my life and turned the worst event of my life into a source of greater strength.” Marie-Lys Pellissier is the spokeswoman for the March for Life in France. The 24-year-old said, “Going out into the street seems essential to us. It is the only moment in the year when we can publicly express our opposition to abortion and euthanasia and propose concrete solutions. The rest of the time, the media never give us the floor.” Trump announces tariffs against goods from Denmark On Saturday, President Donald Trump announced tariffs on all goods from Denmark. President Trump said the tariff will be in force “until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.” The 10% tariff will also apply to all goods from Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland. 70% of Americans diagnosed with cancer survive More Americans are surviving cancer, according to new findings from the American Cancer Society. The report found the five-year relative survival rate for all cancers combined reached 70% for people diagnosed during 2015-2021. That's up from about 50% in the 1970s. The survival rates for people diagnosed with more fatal cancers is up significantly as well from the 1990s. Gallup poll: Americans trust nurses, not telemarketers Gallup released their latest Honesty and Ethics Survey of the professions that Americans trust the most.  U.S. adults have the most trust in nurses, military veterans, medical doctors, and pharmacists. They have the least trust in members of Congress and telemarketers.  Only 27% of Americans have high levels of trust in clergy, down from 64% in 2001. Hoosier quarterback gives glory to God And finally, the Indiana Hoosiers won their first college football national championship on Monday. ANNOUNCER: “He's gonna take off and run. Mendoza weaves his way first and diving toward the end zone. Touchdown!  A century of futility is forgotten. The Indiana Hoosiers are the kings of college football. The 2026 college football national champions: Coach Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers!” The Hoosiers beat the Miami Hurricanes 27 to 21 to cap off an undefeated season. The team's historic victory represents a turnaround led by head coach Curt Cignetti over the past two years. For decades, the Hoosiers were known as the “losingest team” in college football. Members of the tight-knit team are now known for sharing their faith. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza is an outspoken Christian who also won the Heisman Trophy last year, college football's top individual award.  Listen to his comments after the championship victory. MENDOZA: “This victory is so sweet for everybody, for the entire Hoosier nation, but also it's super sweet for myself. I was a two-star recruit coming out of high school. I got declined to walk on offer to the University of Miami. Full circle moment here. Playing in Miami for all the friends and family. I can't thank Coach [Curt] Cignetti enough, and Coach [Chandler] Whitmer and Coach [Ola] Adams for taking a chance on me. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Iran's Islamic regime has killed 16,500 protestors, injured 330,000 Shockingly, the death toll in the Iranian protests has topped 16,500 people,  reports the Sunday Times.   Iran's internet blackout has crossed its twelfth day.  One of our sources has reported at least 11 Christians were killed by Iranian authorities over the last few weeks. According to Iran International, smuggled out reports indicate that 330,000 Iranians have been injured.  One Tehran eye hospital, the Noor Clinic, documented around 7,000 eye injuries. This may be the highest death toll for a protest against government tyranny in modern history. By contrast, the Communist crackdown on Tiananmen Square protesters in Beijing, China in 1989 resulted in the deaths of up to 3,000 people.  Leftists storm Minneapolis church in anti-I.C.E. disruption Here in the United States, anti-ICE protesters disrupted a house of worship in Minneapolis on Sunday. Listen. AUDIO: “ICE out. ICE out. ICE out. ICE out. ICE out. ICE out. ICE out. ICE out. ICE out.” Cities Church is pastored by Jonathan Parnell, a contributor to the Desiring God ministry, and father of eight children. The church was targeted because one of the pastors was employed by the ICE organization. Author Christopher Yuan wrote on X, “Pastor Jonathan Parnell handled himself so well in the midst of protestors disrupting his worship service. Pray for Cities Church to shine the light of the Gospel in the Twin Cities. Pray for the children who were probably traumatized by all this. This is the church where my friend David Mathis also serves as pastor as well as serving as executive director for Desiring God.”   Thankfully, the Department of Homeland Security has arrested 10,000 illegals in Minneapolis, according to Secretary Kristi Noem. In addition, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi promised that “intimidation of Christians [is] being met with the full force of federal law.” Lesbian Renee Good's relative: Wrath of God vs ungodliness Much of the national furor has surrounded the killing of Renee Good, who reportedly had an altercation with an ICE agent in the Minneapolis area. Good has been touted by the media as “a good Christian,” yet at the time of her death, she was in what Romans 1 calls an unnatural and wicked relationship with another woman.   Timmy Macklin, Renee Good's former father-in-law, and the grandfather of her 6-year-old son, was interviewed on CNN, on her tragic death. While stating his love for his former daughter-in-law, he warned of the wrath of God against ungodliness in this interview.   Listen. MACKLIN: “I don't have any enemies. I love everybody, and that's what the Bible tells us. Love our neighbors as we love ourselves. But you know, I think there's some bad choices. The Word says, ‘For the wrath of God will come upon the children of disobedience.' (Ephesians 5:6) “I don't blame ICE. I don't blame Rebecca. I don't blame Renee. If we're walking in the Spirit of God, I don't think she would have been there. That's the way I look at it. 73,000 illegals arrested by ICE The stats are in for ICE arrests and detentions. 27% of those arrested already had criminal convictions on record, and roughly 7% were felons. That's about the same rates for the average American citizen. However, 100% of those arrested and detained, have allegedly violated the law by entering the country illegally. As of today, about 73,000 people are on ICE detention, up from 14,000 at the end of the Biden administration. That amounts to only half a percent of the number of illegal persons living in the country. The number of unauthorized migrants hit 14 million in 2023, up from 3.5 million in 2000. Also, for the record, 59% of illegal immigrant households receive welfare, as compared with 39% of native households. Romans 13 reminds us that the ruler is “God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.  “Therefore, you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience' sake. For because of this, you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.” Gold and silver hit new highs Gold scraped $4,700 an ounce and silver hit $95 an ounce in another hot market yesterday, reports InvestingNews.com.  That's a 125% gain on gold and 332% gain on silver in two years. Central banks are favoring gold over U.S. Treasuries. Economists are pointing to escalating geopolitical risks and a weakening dollar as reasons that are driving the increases. About a third of new mine supply of gold is going to the central banks now. China, Brazil, Turkey and Poland are the largest purchasers in recent months.  Denmark upset that America wants Greenland As the World Economic Forum is meeting this week, Denmark is conspicuously absent at the table as the nation's government protests the United States involvement, reports Forbes. President Donald Trump is still pushing for America's annexation of Greenland.  Greenland's high abortion rate Speaking of Greenland, it's famous for its high abortion rate — the highest in the world. There are more abortions there than births every year.   Also, in terms of public acceptance and early endorsement of homosexuality, Iceland, Greenland, and Denmark are the most pro-homosexual countries in the world. 68-year-old lost New Zealand man found after 17 days And finally, authorities in New Zealand called off the search for a hiker in the hinterlands of the Southern Island. A police post has announced that Graham Garnett, age 68, was found alive in the Kahurangi National park by contractors working the area, 17 days after he went missing. Psalm 107:5-8 says, “They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city for a dwelling place. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Inside Southeast Asia's expanding Islamization In one part of Southeast Asia, angry mobs constantly threaten a congregation with physical violence to try to prevent the Christians from worshipping Jesus. In yet another area, a young Christian female student fends off Muslim men relentlessly pressuring her into marriage, resulting in her forced conversion to Islam. These are real-life situations that countless Christians face daily across Southeast Asia as they live in Muslim-majority nations, reports International Christian Concern. Islam has a strong presence and history in Asia, with 1.3 billion Muslims across the region and 242 million followers in Southeast Asia alone.  More than 60% of the world's Muslims live in Asia. US kills Al-Qaeda leader linked to deadly ISIS attack on US troops U.S. Central Command, known as CENTCOM, announced on Friday a deadly strike on a leader affiliated with Al-Qaeda in northeast Syria, reports The Epoch Times. The man had direct ties to an ISIS attack that killed two American service members and an interpreter on December 13, 2025, according to a Saturday CENTCOM post on X. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper said, “The death of a terrorist operative, linked to the deaths of three Americans, demonstrates our resolve in pursuing terrorists who attack our forces. There is no safe place for those who conduct, plot, or inspire attacks on American citizens and our warfighters. We will find you.” Argentinian President Javier Milei defends unborn babies The abortion wars in Argentina are ongoing, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Javier Milei, who was elected president of Argentina in December 2023, ran on a staunchly pro-life platform. During his campaign, he promised to repeal Argentina's pro-abortion law, which passed narrowly in December 2020, and allows a mother to have her unborn baby killed up until 14 weeks of gestation. In a 2023 interview, Milei said, “It is true that women have the right to their own bodies. But the child in a woman's body is not her body. … That makes abortion a murder, enabled and aggravated by a power imbalance against a child that has no way to defend itself. … Life is a continuum with two quantum leaps – birth and death. Any interruption in the interim is murder.” In Psalm 139:13, King David told God, “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb.” To his credit, Argentinian President Milei has halted the national distribution of abortion kill pills, canceling the planned distribution of over 100,000 doses. Abortion groups claim that these barriers likely account for the drop in the Argentinian abortion rate from 107,500 in 2023 to 79,186 in 2024. Senator to leftist obstetrician: “Can men get pregnant?” In a January 14th hearing on Abortion Kill Pill safety before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri could not get a straight answer from Dr. Nisha Verma, a board member of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, about basic biological reality. Listen. HAWLEY: “Dr. Verma, do you think that men can get pregnant?” VERMA: “I'm not really sure what the goal of the question is.” HAWLEY: “The goal is just to establish a biological reality. You just said a moment ago that ‘science and evidence should control, not politics.' So, let's just test that proposition. Can men get pregnant?” VERMA: “I take care of people with many identities, but …” HAWLEY: “Can men get pregnant?” VERMA: “I take care of many women that can get pregnant. I do take care of people that don't identify as women that…” HAWLEY: “Can men get pregnant?” VERMA: “Again, as I'm saying …” HAWLEY: “Let me just remind you what you testified to a moment ago. ‘Science and evidence should control, not politics.' Can men get pregnant? You're a doctor.” VERMA: “I totally agree that science and evidence should guide medicine.” HAWLEY: “Do science and evidence tell us that men can get pregnant? Biological men, can they get pregnant?” VERMA: “I also think yes/no questions like this are a political tool.” HAWLEY: “No, yes/no questions are about the truth, doctor. Let's not make a mockery of this proceeding. This is about science and evidence, and I'm asking you. “The United States Supreme Court just heard arguments yesterday at great length on this question. This is not a hypothetical question. This is not theoretical. It affects real people in their real lives. And you're here as an expert, called by the other side, as an expert. You're a doctor, and you follow the science and the evidence. So, I just want to know, based on the science, can men get pregnant? That's a ‘yes or no' question. It really is, I think.” VERMA: “I think you're trying to reduce the complexity of a lot.” HAWLEY: “I'm not. It's not complex. I'm trying to get to an answer, and I'm trying to test, frankly, your veracity as a medical professional and as a scientist. Can men get pregnant?” VERMA: “I think you're also conflating male and female.” HAWLEY: “This is extraordinary. No, I'm not conflating male with female. They're two different things. There's biological men and there's biological women. And I want to know, can men get pregnant?” VERMA: “What you are talking about is biological.” HAWLEY: “I'm not going to answer my question.” VERMA: “biological males….” HAWLEY: “This isn't hard, doctor. Can men get pregnant? Yes or No?” Instead of answering Senator Hawley's very simple question, Dr. Verma continued to play games and sidestep a direct answer. VERMA: “I would be more than happy to have a conversation with you that is not coming from a place of trying to be polarized and pushing…” HAWLEY: “I'm not trying to be polarizing. I'm trying to ask. I think it is extraordinary that we are here in a hearing about science and about women. And for the record, it's women who get pregnant, not men. “Science shows that this abortion drug causes adverse health events in 11% of cases. That's 22 times greater than the FDA label, another fact you haven't acknowledged, and yet you won't even acknowledge the basic reality that biological men don't get pregnant. “There's a difference between biological men and biological women. I don't know how we can take you seriously and your claims to be a person of science, if you won't level with us on this basic issue. I thought we were past all of this, frankly.” Christian publisher Robert Wolgemuth entered Heaven at 77 And finally, the widow of the recently deceased Christian author and publisher Robert Wolgemuth, remembered by ministry leaders as a “legend in Christian publishing,” has revealed additional details about his sudden death, reports the Christian Post. Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, the founder of Revive Our Hearts ministry, who married Wolgemuth in 2015, published a social media post last Thursday, providing additional details about her husband's final days before his death on January 10 at age 77.  She explained, “Early Christmas Eve morning, I took him to the ER, as he was in pain, struggling to breathe. He declined quickly and within a few days was totally unresponsive. On January 10, I returned to our home a widow. That same day, Robert moved to his eternal Home, to find unending joy and rest with Christ.”  Nancy added, “In the midst of tears aplenty, I rejoice in the incredible joy and gift of walking with Robert as his wife for the last ten years.” Evangelist Greg Laurie said, “Robert helped bring about the New Believer's Bible, which has literally touched millions of people around the world, as well as my book Jesus Revolution.  As Robert often said, ‘The anticipation of Heaven changes everything.' (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Chinese Communists arrested house church leaders On January 6th, Chinese Communists detained leaders and members of the Early Rain Covenant Church amid the nation's continued persecution of Christians, reports International Christian Concern. As of January 12, ChinaAid reported that six Christians from the church were either detained or placed under house arrest including Elder Li Yingqiang and his wife Zhang. They reportedly left a video message for their children in the event of their arrests. In it, they tell their children, “If one day you do not see mom and dad anymore, remember the hymn we sang together today.” The couple proceeds to sing “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people.” Produced by Maranatha Music, you might recognize Messianic Praise's version of the song “As the Mountains.” MESSIANIC PRAISE: “As the mountains are around Jerusalem, the Lord is all around His people. As the mountains are around Jerusalem, the Lord is all around His people.” The Early Rain congregation has been the target of persecution at the hands of Chinese officials for many years due to its “unregistered” status. Trump threatens to invoke Insurrection Act amid unrest after second I.C.E.-involved shooting On Thursday, President Donald Trump threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 to restore order amid ongoing riots against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in Minneapolis in the wake of a second I.C.E.-involved shooting Wednesday night, reports the Christian Post. In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, "If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the Insurrection Act, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State." Trump's threat came the morning after an I.C.E. officer shot an illegal Venezuelan immigrant in the leg after he allegedly fled during a traffic stop and attempted to beat the officer with a shovel, according to the Department of Homeland Security. DHS claimed the officer was "fearing for his life and safety" when the suspect "violently assaulted" him. The suspect was reportedly in stable condition, and the I.C.E. agent remains hospitalized. The shooting came a week after an I.C.E. agent fatally shot Renee Good, video of whom shows her driving her vehicle into him after refusing to comply with officers. Ari Fleischer: Minnesota leftists want illegals to stay in America Appearing on Fox News Channel's Special Report, former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer offered his analysis. FLEISCHER: “The Insurrection Act is aimed at ‘civil disobedience.' It goes on to armed conflict as well, but it includes civil disobedience. Not peaceful protest, but civil disobedience. “And when you have the Governor of Minnesota, [Tim Walz], use the words ‘atrocities,' that ICE is committing ‘atrocities,' Governor Walz's word, when he says it's federal ‘occupation' of Minnesota, his word, ‘occupation,' urging Minnesotans to take to the streets to ‘bank evidence for future prosecutions,' Governor Walz's words, he is not seeking to calm things down. He is riling things up. And I think you have to ask what the root reason is why. “And it's because after the Biden years in which tens of millions of people came in illegally across the border with the willingness and the happiness of Democratic officials, now they want them to stay. They do not want people who came here illegally to have to leave in compliance with the law. They want them to get away with it. And that's what's driving their behavior.” If Supreme Court affirms two sexes, Trump will hold blue states accountable Riley Gaines, a podcaster and the former college swimming champion who objected to allowing biological men compete with women, asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt a question at the daily briefing. GAINES: “I was in Washington, DC earlier this week for the Supreme Court case. There were two arguments that were heard surrounding sex-based rights, and if it's constitutional for states to pass laws that ultimately protect those rights for women. “If the Supreme Court rules, as anticipated, in favor of maintaining these sex-based rights, is the [Trump] administration prepared to take action against the states? I believe at this point it's 23 states that don't have those protections for women.” LEAVITT: “Absolutely. The [Trump] administration already has done so. We've taken action in a number of fronts against these states who are failing to uphold the President's Executive Orders in this administration's policy of simply protecting women in women's sports and in women's private spaces. “We've gone to the mat with large universities in this country as well to try to fight for what's fair and what's just for women and girls across the country. Women's sports and private spaces should be protected. “There are two sexes. That is not something we should be afraid to say in this country. Men and women are different, but inherently equal. We hope and expect that the Supreme Court will rule in the right way on this matter.” Charges dropped against Red Rose pro-life rescuers After a successful pro-life rescue that temporarily closed a Pennsylvania abortion mill, involved arrests and initial jail time of several days, six Red Rose Rescue activists had all criminal charges against them dismissed on Monday at the Delaware County Courthouse, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The rescuers included Dr. Monica Miller, Eric Holmberg, Will Goodman, ChristyAnne Collins, Patty Woodworth, and Joan Andrews Bell. Regarding their successful July 31 rescue at the Delaware County Women's Abortion Mill, Dr. Miller said, “We came out on top for sure.” At the time, the six Red Rose Rescuers were peacefully offering roses to mothers going into the chemical abortion facility along with resources for alternatives to abortion. They also provided information to abortion center staff regarding how they could depart the abortion industry and access support from former abortion staff members who had become pro-life. The rescuers were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and “defiant” trespass after they refused to leave the abortion mill at the request of police officers, to whom they explained “we cannot leave as long as the unborn are scheduled to be killed.” Proverbs 24:11 says, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” As a result of their pro-life rescue efforts, the abortion mill temporarily closed. Every woman walked out of there without the kill pills. Miller added, “That meant that at least the unborn children had a reprieve of their executions. And this gave women an opportunity to change their minds.” Early peanut exposure in babies tied to sharp drop in food allergies Historically, parents have been advised to avoid feeding peanuts to babies for the first few years of life, but emerging research has confirmed that introducing them sooner — as early as infancy — could help stave off food allergies, reports Fox News. A 2025 study, led by the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, analyzed medical records from dozens of pediatric practices across the U.S., finding that early introduction of peanuts resulted in a 27% decrease in peanut allergy diagnoses among children and a 38% decrease in overall food allergies. 387th anniversary of first U.S. state's constitution And finally, this past Tuesday, January 14th, was the 387th anniversary of the year Connecticut revealed the world's first written democratic constitution establishing a representative government. On January 14, 1639, the state adopted the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut. The report ranks the top 50 countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution. Once again, North Korea is ranked the worst country for persecution followed by Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, and Eritrea. The remaining top 10 countries are Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Libya, and Iran. One out of seven Christians are persecuted worldwide. Between October 2024 and September 2025, the report documented that 4,849 Christians were killed for their faith. Over 90% of the killings occurred in sub-Saharan Africa, especially Nigeria.  Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.” 2,000 Iranian protestors killed by Islamic regime Millions of Iranians have been protesting against the country's Islamic regime since December 28. Activists report that 2,000 people have been killed as the regime has cracked down on protestors.  Listen to comments from U.S. President Donald Trump. TRUMP: “To all Iranian patriots, keep protesting, take over your institutions, if possible. … I've cancelled all meetings with the Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops. And all I say to them is ‘Help is on its way!' You saw that I put tariffs on anybody doing business with Iran. Just went into effect today.” During this unrest, please pray for the underground church in Iran to remain strong and find opportunities to minister.  Pentagon moving carrier strike group toward Middle East amid Iran tension In a related story, the Pentagon is moving a carrier strike group from the South China Sea to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, which includes the Middle East, as tensions escalate between the Trump administration and Iran, reports NewsNation. Moving the carrier strike group — a naval formation centering around an aircraft carrier, with a variety of support from other vessels — is expected to take about a week. The significant transfer of American military hardware comes amid developments related to unrest in Iran and questions about whether the White House will offer support to opponents of Iran's autocratic, Islamicregime. Franklin Graham calls America to prayer and repentance In the Untied States, Evangelist Franklin Graham called for a time of prayer and repentance across the nation. The call came as “the streets of America boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness.” Listen to comments from Graham. GRAHAM: “I encourage people to pray. And first of all, we need to repent as a nation. We need to repent of our sins and turn from those sins. And we need to repent of our own sins, not just the nation's sins, but our personal sins, and ask God to forgive us.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Trump withdraws from 66 int'l groups, conventions, and treaties The Trump administration announced last Wednesday that the U.S. is withdrawing from 66 international organizations, conventions, and treaties. One of those organizations is the United Nations Population Fund, known for its support of abortion.  Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, said, “From DEI mandates to ‘gender equity' campaigns to climate orthodoxy, many international organizations now serve a globalist project. … These organizations actively seek to constrain American sovereignty.” State Department pauses immigrant visas from 75 countries Plus, the U.S. Department of State announced yesterday that it will pause immigrant visa processing from 75 countries.  Those nations include Somalia, Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, and Nigeria.  The State Department said migrants from these countries “take welfare from the American people at unacceptable rates.” U.S. overdose deaths fell New federal data shows U.S. overdose deaths fell last year. Overdose deaths involving opioids and now fentanyl have been on the rise since the 1990s. An estimated 73,000 people died from overdoses during the 12-month period ending in August 2025. That's down 21% from the previous 12-month period.  Researchers suggest this drop is connected with recent regulation changes in China. These changes decreased the availability of chemicals used to make fentanyl.    4,000 U.S. Protestant churches closed in 2024 Lifeway Research reports more Protestant churches closed in the U.S. than opened. Four thousand churches were closed in America in 2024. Meanwhile, only 3,800 churches were started. That's better than 2019 when there were only 3,000 openings and 4,500 closings. Openings have not outpaced closings since 2014 when there were 4,000 openings and 3,700 closings. Christian/Gospel music ranked among top 10 genres And finally, Luminate released its 2025 year-end music report. Christian and Gospel music ranked among the top 10 genres in the U.S. last year. Plus, Christian/Gospel was also one of the highest-growth genres in terms of on-demand audio streams. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Iran regime cuts nationwide internet access as protests claim 44 lives On January 8th, Iran was plunged into a nationwide internet blackout as anti-regime protests intensified, severely restricting communication across the country as demonstrations entered their second week and the death toll reached 44, reports Fox News. Before news of the latest killings came in, President Donald Trump, in an interview with Hugh Hewitt on Thursday, issued a warning to the Iranian regime. TRUMP: “I have let them know that if they start killing people -- which they tend to do during their riots, they have lots of riots -- if they do it, we're going to hit them very hard.” HEWITT: “Do you have a message for the people of Iran, President Trump?” TRUMP: “You should feel strongly about freedom. There's nothing like freedom. You're brave people. It's a shame what's happened to your country.” Ali Safavi, a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said the blackout coincided with violent confrontations in several regions. The victims were killed by the Revolutionary Guard and other security forces using live ammunition. The protests were sparked in December by the collapse of Iran's currency and soaring inflation, but they have since evolved into a broader movement demanding the overthrow of the Islamic Republic. Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Iran who are suffering. VP Vance explains Trump's Western Hemisphere foreign policy In a White House briefing, Vice President J.D. Vance explained the Trump administration's foreign policy related to the Western Hemisphere. VANCE: “This is the president of peace. One of the ways that you establish peace in your own hemisphere is to make it clear that the United States is going to be respected, that the United States is willing to take power away from criminal cartel organizations and give it to legitimate governments. “That's how we see the future of the Western Hemisphere, and we think it's going to be much more peaceful than it was, certainly under [former President] Joe Biden.” Congressman: 78% of Somali Minnesotans on welfare after 10 years During a January 7th House Oversight Committee meeting, Republican Congressman Brandon Gill of Texas, age 31, asked Brendan Ballou, a former U.S. Special Counsel at the Department of Justice, a series of questions related to the abuse of taxpayer dollars by Somali-headed households in Minnesota. GILL: “Does large scale Somali immigration make Minnesota stronger or weaker?” BALLOU: “Certainly stronger.” GILL: “Do you know what percentage of Somali-headed households in Minnesota are on food stamps?” BALLOU: “No.” GILL: “54%.  Do you know what that number is for native Minnesota headed households?” BALLOU: “Well, to be clear, a majority of those …” GILL: “It's 7%. It's 7%. There's a big difference between 54% and 7%, isn't there?” BALLOU: “Excise me, sir, could I? Could I answer the question?” GILL: “Let me, let me move on. We've got a lot of questions here. What percentage of Somali-headed households in Minnesota are on Medicaid?” BALLOU: “I don't know.” GILL: “It's 73% Do you know what that number is for Minnesota native households?” BALLOU: “Again, you're using the phrase Minnesota native households, but the majority …" GILL: “The number is 18%. That's a quite an astounding difference. I think we would.” BALLOU: “Can I answer the question please?” GILL: “Let me ask you one more, and then we can go into that. What percentage of Somali-headed households are on welfare in general?” BALLOU: “I don't know." GILL: “81%. After 10 years of being in the United States, what percentage of Somali immigrant households continue to be on welfare?” BALLOU:  “I don't know.” GILL: “The number is 78%. So, even after 10 years, 78% of Somali immigrant households continue to be on welfare. Do you know what that number is for non-Somali immigrant headed households?” BALLOU: “The majority of Somali Minnesotans are as Minnesotan as any of us. They were born in the United States. It's only 8,000 of the 108,000.” GILL: “Nevertheless, the welfare usage is astoundingly different. Let me ask you again, does that make Minnesota stronger or weaker?” BALLOU: “Again, I'd like the opportunity to answer the question here. So again, the majority of Somali Minnesotans are born in the United States, as I understand.” GILL: “Okay. But what percentage of working-age Somalians, who have been in the US for 10 years or more, how many of them speak English very well?” BALLOU: “I don't know.” GILL: “About half. That seems pretty low, doesn't it?” BALLOU: “Again, I keep trying…” GILL: “Doesn't sound like something that makes our country stronger to me. And I think most Americans would agree with me on that.” Michael Reagan's legacy Michael Reagan, the adopted son of former U.S. president Ronald Reagan and his first wife, actress Jane Wyman, died of cancer on January 4th at the age of 80, reported The Epoch Times. He hosted “The Michael Reagan Show,” a nationally syndicated talk radio program, for nearly 20 years, and was a contributor to the conservative Newsmax television network. In Reagan's 1988 autobiography On the Outside Looking In and the 2004 follow-up Twice Adopted, he discussed his difficult childhood, including feelings of not belonging in his famous family, and his profound journey of faith and forgiveness. He penned Lessons My Father Taught Me in 2016, which explored the wisdom his father passed down. Christopher Ruddy, the Editor-in-Chief of NewsMax, wrote, “Mike asked his father about his plan to defeat the Soviet Union. Ronald Reagan replied, ‘It's simple, Mike. They lose. We win.' That was Reagan's genius — clarity, moral confidence, and the determination to win. “Michael believed — like his father — that Americans are part of a living chain stretching back to the Sons of Liberty. Each generation inherits the responsibility to defend freedom, share our values, and serve as a beacon of hope to the world. The torch is passed, and it must never be dropped. Ronald Reagan's greatest torchbearer was his eldest and adopted son.” Beyond physical freedom, Christ offers spiritual freedom from are sin which is the ultimate freedom. John 8:36 says, “If [Jesus], the Son, therefore, shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” Charles Spurgeon's conversion anniversary And finally, last week, on January 6th, Christians celebrated the 176th anniversary of the Christian conversion of Charles Spurgeon in 1850 at the age of 15. On his way to a scheduled appointment, a snowstorm forced him to cut short his intended journey and to turn into a Primitive Methodist chapel on Artillery Street in Colchester, England, where he believed God opened his heart to the salvation message. The text that moved him was Isaiah 45:22. It says, "Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the Earth, for I am God, and there is none else.” In April 1854, after preaching three months on probation and just four years after his conversion, Spurgeon, then only 19 years old, was called to the pastorate of London's famed New Park Street Chapel. Charles Spurgeon became known as the "Prince of Preachers,” defended the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, and opposed the liberal theological heresies in the Church of his day. May the Lord raise up more Charles Spurgeons in our day. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Sudanese military killed 11 Christians Tragically, the military of Sudan killed a group of Christians on their way to church on Christmas morning last month. The Sudanese Armed Forces targeted the group with a drone strike, killing at least 11 Christians and injuring 18 more.  A Christian attorney in the area told Morning Star News, “The church [building] was not hit, but a congregation who were marching in procession towards the church were targeted.” Sudan's military is in conflict with various rival forces in the country's ongoing civil war. Sadly, Christians are caught in the crossfire, facing increased attacks and violence in the Muslim-majority country.  According to Open Doors, Sudan is the fifth most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Canadian Christians upset: Quoting Bible can be “hate speech” Liberal lawmakers in Canada are trying to remove a religious exemption from the country's hate speech laws. Currently, people cannot be convicted of hate speech if they make a statement in “good faith” based “on belief in a religious text.” The Christian Institute warns that quoting the Bible could be criminalized as hate speech under the new proposal. Andrew Lawton, a conservative Member of Parliament from Ontario, commented, “[The Liberals] are prepared to mount … a full-scale assault on religious freedom.” Psalm 94:20-21 asks, “Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, have fellowship with [the Lord]? They gather together against the life of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.” Hegseth tours America's hypersonic weapons On Tuesday's Worldview newscast, we said, “The United States has yet to deploy its hypersonic technology -- it is still in the testing phase.” Upon closer examination, according to The War Zone, we can report that War Secretary Pete Hegseth recently toured the Redstone Arsenal in Alabama to examine America's long-range Dark Eagle hypersonic boost-glide vehicle weapon system. During his visit, Hegseth designated the installation as U.S. Space Command's new headquarters. The Army's Dark Eagle, also known as the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon, is a trailer-launched hypersonic boost-glide vehicle system that can travel long distances at hypersonic speeds, with velocities in excess of 3,800 miles per hour, while maneuvering erratically through Earth's atmosphere. This makes it an ideal weapon for striking high-priority and time-sensitive targets that are extremely well defended. It's the first true hypersonic weapon slated for frontline U.S. service. The same missile architecture is being adopted by the Navy for sea-launch under the Intermediate Range Conventional Prompt Strike weapon system. During a show-and-tell of Army missile systems, Lieutenant General Francisco Lozano, Director of Hypersonic, Directed Energy, Space and Rapid Acquisition, told Hegseth that Dark Eagle has a 2,100-mile range. Members of the media were also present at the event, which was captured on video by C-SPAN. Colorado must pay $5 million over trying to shut down pro-life clinic In the United States, Colorado must pay $5.4 million in a lawsuit involving a pro-life healthcare clinic.  The state tried to ban abortion pill reversal and shut down a Denver-area pro-life clinic. Bella Health and Wellness fought back and won their case with the help of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.  Rebekah Ricketts, senior counsel at Becket, said, “At least 18 moms who received abortion pill reversal care at Bella just celebrated Christmas with babies born during this case. All Coloradans should celebrate those little miracles and the brave medical team at Bella that helped their moms when no one else would.” Vandal of J.D. Vance's home is trans Democrat The U.S. Secret Service arrested a man on Monday who caused property damages at the Ohio home of Vice President J.D. Vance. The man used a hammer to break four windows on the front of the home. He also vandalized an unmarked Secret Service vehicle. The man has been identified as 26-year-old William DeFoor. He pretends to be a woman and goes by the name “Julia.” His father. Dr. Bob DeFoor, is a prominent urology surgeon and a mega Democrat donor. Vice President Vance responded on X. He wrote, “I appreciate everyone's well wishes about the attack at our home. ... I'm grateful to the Secret Service and the Cincinnati police for responding quickly. We weren't even home as we had returned already to D.C.” Corporation for Public Broadcasting dissolves over Trump defunding The board of directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting voted Monday to dissolve the organization after losing federal funding.  Congress created the nonprofit in 1967 to support public broadcasting in America. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has distributed hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars each year to public stations through National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting System.  However, President Donald Trump has accused such outlets of spreading misinformation. In line with this, Congress defunded the Corporation for Public Broadcasting last summer.  Republican Congressman of California died Tuesday House Republicans announced Tuesday that Rep. Doug LaMalfa of California died at the age of 65, reports the Western Journal. The announcement was shared in a statement posted by the official House Republicans X account. On January 5th, LaMalfa experienced a medical emergency at his home and was transported to a Chico, California hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. During the procedure, he experienced both a heart attack and an aneurysm, according to the Sacramento Bee. He died the following day at 3:20 a.m while still in surgery. LaMalfa was a fourth-generation rice farmer. U-Haul does well in red states, poorly in blue states U-Haul released its annual Growth Index for last year. The truck rental company ranks states by their net gain or loss based on one-way rentals. Many conservative states topped the list for growth while many Democrat states were at the bottom of the list. Texas and Florida saw the most in-migration. Illinois and California saw the most out-migration.   More Americans vow to read entire Bible in 2026 And finally, CBN News reports that a growing number of Americans are committed to reading the entire Bible this year. Only an estimated 13-20% of Americans have completed the feat in the past. But that number is rising as Bible sales surged over the last year. Dr. Corné Bekker, Dean of Divinity at Regent University, has read the Bible several hundred times. Listen to his comments. BEKKER: “I do think increasingly our world is falling apart. The foundations of our society are being eroded at a record speed. Islamist terrorists have killed at least 32 Christians since Christmas, and burned down hundreds of homes in the Adamawa, Kebbi, and Plateau states. Congressman asserts Nigerian Christians targeted for their faith On January 1st, Republican U.S. Congressman Riley Moore of West Virginia weighed in on X. He wrote, “If there were any remaining doubts that Christians in Nigeria are being targeted for their faith in Jesus Christ, this should end that debate.  This isn't about land usage, ‘climate change,' or any other argument the Left wants to make. “This is persecution of our brothers and sisters for their faith in Christ, plain and simple. ISIS is telling Christians they have an opportunity to ‘spare their blood' if they convert. Our brothers and sisters will not bend the knee to anyone but our Lord and Savior.” Also, late last week, the Islamic-supported Allied Democratic Forces carried out a deadly nighttime incursion, killing at least 15 people in the Lubero territory of Congo, Africa. 20 Iranians have died in protests in 78 cities Iranian protests enter Day 9 where at least 20 people have died in the unrest. Protests have been cited in 78 cities across 26 provinces, reports Iran International.  According to The Times on Sunday, Iran's Supreme Leader has a backup plan in place — to abscond to Russia should his security forces fail. North Korea shot hypersonic missiles Sunday North Korea successfully fired off several hypersonic missiles on Sunday, connecting with targets 700 miles away in Korea's East Sea. North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un called it a “very important strategic task to maintain and expand a powerful and reliable nuclear deterrent.”  Back in 2019, China deployed hypersonic technology. But the United States has yet to deploy its hypersonic technology — it is still in the testing phase.  Number of foreigners in Austria, Belgium and UK skyrocketing Remix News reports that over 41% of the population of Vienna, Austria's capital, is foreign born. And 50 percent of first-graders do not understand German. Also, Muslim students now account for 41.2 percent of all elementary school students, while Christian students fell to 34.5 percent. Plus, Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom have the highest percentages of babies born to immigrants — above 30%. Venezuelan dictator and wife plead not guilty The Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, both arrested by the U.S. government over the weekend, appeared in a New York City Court Monday to face charges of narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy. and weapons offenses. They entered pleas of innocence to the charges. Psalm 37:9 is clear: “Evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the Earth.” China financed $60 billion loans to Venezuela Come to find out China has been a major player in Venezuela since 2000. The Council on Foreign Relations reports that Venezuela ate up $60 billion of Chinese loans accounting for fully half of all the money that China loaned to South America over the years. And China has been taking in about 80% of Venezuelan oil exports of late. Rubio objects to Iran, China, & Russia propping up Venezuela Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio objected to America's enemies propping up Venezuela in America's backyard. Listen. RUBIO: “We don't need Venezuela's oil. We have plenty of oil in the United States. What we're not going to allow is for the oil industry in Venezuela to be controlled by adversaries of the United States. You have to understand. Why does China need their oil? Why does Russia need their oil? Why does Iran need their oil? They're not even in this continent. “This is the Western Hemisphere. This is where we live, and we're not going to allow the western hemisphere to be a base of operation for adversaries, competitors and rivals of the United States. We want to see the oil proceeds of that country benefit the people of Venezuela. “Why have 8 million people left Venezuela? Eight million: the single largest mass migration probably in modern history, left Venezuela in 2014 because all the wealth of that country was stolen to the benefit of Maduro and his cronies in the regime, but not to the benefit of people of Venezuela. You know how destabilizing 8 million migrants is? “The number one fear that Brazil has, that Colombia has, that all these countries in the region have about what's happening in Venezuela and our involvement is they're afraid of another mass migration event. That's what they feel. This is deeply destabilizing stuff. ”It's not going to continue to happen. They are not going to come from outside of our hemisphere, destabilize our region in our own backyard, and us have to pay the price for it, not under President Trump.” Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Uruguay & Spain upset about Maduro The governments of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Spain have issued a statement airing their disagreement with the U.S. military actions taken against Venezuela over the weekend.   The statement appealed to what they called the “principles of the United Nations Charter.” Trump upset that drug cartels are running Mexico and Columbia President Donald Trump has also told the U.S. press that something has to be done with Mexico. He told Fox News that the  drug cartels are running the country.  Plus, he called Columbia a “sick country” run by a “sick” president who “likes to sell Cocaine to the United States.” Trump said he's not going to be doing this very long.   And the president said, “Cuba is ready to fall” as well.  But let us all remember Who rules. Psalm 22:28-29 says, “For the kingdom is the Lord's, and He rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the Earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him, even he who cannot keep himself alive.” Dallas street preachers handcuffed and detained without cause Here in America, street preachers connected with a “Reformed Baptist evangelistic ministry, [Testimonies of God], committed to the supremacy of Scripture and the advancement of Christ's Gospel,” were handcuffed and detained by police officers in Dallas a few weeks ago. The Christian Post reports that an officer had required the evangelists to get off the public sidewalk and cross the street — an order the preachers believed was unlawful. So far, no charges have been filed in the case. 15 states still allow trans surgeries and drugs for kids Two hospitals in left-wing Colorado have decided to stop writing prescriptions for sex-change drugs for children, reports 9-News. Children's Hospital and Denver Health have cited warnings from the U.S. Health and Human Services Department. Colorado was the faux-sex-change capital of the world in the 1980s and 1990s.   Sadly, 15 states still allow gender-based mutilation or gender-debilitating drugs for kids including Colorado, California, Oregon, Illinois, and New York. Japanese restaurant paid $3.24 million for bluefin tuna And finally, a Japanese sushi chain set a record for the price paid for a fish yesterday.  The Japan Times reports that Sushi Zanmai paid $3.24 million for a Pacific bluefin tuna at Tokyo's fish auction. As families gathered to welcome 2026, armed Muslim fighters from the Allied Democratic Forces, or ADF, carried out a deadly nighttime incursion, killing at least 15 people on Thursday, January 1. Working with the global Islamic State movement, the ADF is among the most dangerous terrorist groups in Congo. Venezuelan dictator captured in daring U.S. raid Venezuelans are celebrating in the streets. (Audio of celebration) Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro was seized by the United States Army's secretive Delta Force unit in a daring raid on his heavily-secured compound, reports the Daily Mail. CBS News reported that the ultra-elite Delta Force unit was behind the capture of Maduro, and his wife Cilia, in the early hours of Saturday morning. The couple was seized from their bedroom in the dead of night by U.S. forces as they slept, according to CNN. The raid did not lead to any U.S. casualties. The pair was snatched by helicopter from Caracas after they had been monitored by CIA spies, with President Donald Trump giving the order to take them two days ago. President Trump says Maduro and his government have conspired to flood the United States with illegal drugs, and will now face trial in the U.S. on drugs and weapons trafficking charges. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke at a Saturday press conference. RUBIO: “Nicolas Maduro had multiple opportunities to avoid this. He was provided multiple very, very, very generous offers, and chose instead to act like a wild man, chose instead to play around. “The 47th president of the United States is not a game player. When he tells you that he's going to do something, when he tells you he's going to address a problem, he means it. “The President doesn't go out looking for people to pick fights with. Generally, he wants to get along with everybody. We'll talk and meet with anybody. But don't play games. Don't play games while this President's in office, because it's not going to turn out well. I guess that lesson was learned last night, and we hope it will be instructive moving forward.” Biden's DOJ pressured FBI to raid Mar-a-Lago Newly-declassified documents show that President Joe Biden's Department of Justice pressured the FBI to conduct the infamous 2022 raid of then-former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home – even though the FBI repeatedly warned that such a raid was unwarranted, reports NewsBusters.org. In an X.com post last Tuesday, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, a Republican from Iowa, wrote, “FBI did not believe it had probable cause to raid Pres. Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, but Biden DOJ pushed for it anyway. Based on the records, Mar-a-Lago raid was a miscarriage of justice.” Grassley linked to the documents posted online, which detail communications between the DOJ and the FBI. Brent Bozell confirmed as U.S. Ambassador to South Africa Last Thursday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell as U.S. Ambassador to South Africa, despite obstructionist tactics by Democrats, reports CNSNews.com. By a 53-43 vote, the Senate approved Bozell to fill the post vacated by former ambassador Reuben Brigety, who resigned in January. BOZELL: “I will communicate our objections to South Africa's geo-strategic drift from non-alignment toward our competitors including Russia, China and Iran. “I'll press South Africa to end proceedings against Israel before the International Court of Justice. “Second, I will advance the President's invitation to Afrikaners who wish to flee unjust racial discrimination. “I will support the President's call for the South African government to rescind its support for the expropriation of private property without compensation.” Bozell served as president of the Media Research Center from its founding in 1987 until May of this year when he stepped down to be ambassador. His son, David Bozell, now leads the Media Research Center. Mom upset school secretly socially transitioned her daughter A mother in Maine, named Amber Lavigne, had her parental rights usurped by school officials when a guidance counselor secretly gave her gender-confused 13-year-old daughter a chest binder and referred to her by using a male name and pronouns. A chest binder is used to flatten the breasts of a trans-identified girl to help her pretend to be a boy. With the help of the Goldwater Institute, Lavigne is taking the school to the Supreme Court, reports The Christian Post. LAVIGNE: “I don't want to lose my daughter to the state, even as she grows into an adult, I'll always be her mom.” When she confronted her daughter about the chest binder in her bedroom, she learned that the school guidance counselor had provided it.  LAVIGNE: “This situation really is about my parental rights being violated, about a social worker who had never even had a conversation with me, encouraging my child to keep secrets from me, to tell her, ‘Look, I'm not going to tell your mom, and you don't have to either.' So, she's bringing these breast binders home and hiding them in her room on me. Arkansas Governor in hot water for celebrating Christmas And finally, secularists and atheists alike were predictably furious with Arkansas Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders this past Christmas, reports LifeSiteNews.com. It's just not that they found her professed love for Jesus Christ problematic. It's that she used her position as governor to spread the truth that Jesus Christ is the Savior of Mankind. On December 16, Sanders issued a declaration recalling that “more than two millennia ago in the little town of Bethlehem, far from the centers of power in first-century Rome, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born in a humble manger.” Sanders added that “on that first Christmas, Christ's arrival was unassuming” and “not focused on the wealthy or powerful but rather on the poor, powerless, and meek.” Sanders then approved an extra day off for state employees on December 26 “in order that [they] may spend this holiday with their families giving thanks for Christ's birth.” The God-hating Freedom From Religion Foundation was livid. In a letter to Governor Sanders, attorney Chris Line said, “State offices are not churches, and gubernatorial proclamations are not sermons. The governor is free to practice her religion privately, but she may not use the authority of the state to promote Christian doctrine as official government speech.” Governor Sanders tweeted, “The Freedom from Religion Foundation took issue with me closing state offices to celebrate Christmas and sent a letter demanding I rescind my proclamation. Christmas is not just a holiday; it's the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 14 in Adamawa State Fourteen Nigerians are dead, and four are missing after Boko Haram, a Muslim terrorist group, attacked three villages on the evening of December 29th in Adamawa State, reports International Christian Concern. In addition, numerous homes and businesses were vandalized or burned in the attacks, which struck the villages of Zah, Mubang Yadul, and Kijing. Many villagers fled for their safety. The attackers reportedly fled into the bush before security personnel arrived. The attacks, which occurred days after the U.S. struck ISIS-affiliated Muslim militants in northwest Nigeria, were the latest in a string of assaults on villages in the area to occur around Christmas. MN employees: "Gov. Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud." Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana took to the Senate floor to address how it's possible that Somalis in Minnesota were able to defraud taxpayers to the tune of $1 billion, possibly $9 billion, through fake non-profits. KENNEDY: “Here's what the Legislative Auditor in Minnesota said: ‘The threat of litigation and the negative press affected how the state politicians use their regulatory power.' “And here's what a fraud investigator in the Attorney General's office said: ‘There is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue would cause political backlash from the Somali community, which is a core voting block for Democrats.' “One of the other witnesses in the fraud investigation said, ‘Look, the 80,000-voting block folks with Somali ancestry, you got to have their votes to win in Minneapolis. And if you're a Democrat, if you can't win Minneapolis, you can't win in the state.' So, the politicians did nothing.” Senator Kennedy quoted from a social media post in which hundreds of employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Service weighed in. KENNEDY: “Don't just take my word for it, and don't blame the state employees. They tried. In fact, recently the state employees, they just said, ‘Look, we've had enough.' Several hundred employees from the Minnesota Department of Human Service, who administered this program, they posted this. I'm quoting now. '[Democratic] Governor Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota. We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on.' That's employees talking, hoping for a partnership and stopping fraud. ‘But no, we got the opposite response. Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers.'” Jeremiah 9:6 says, “'You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge Me,'” declares the LORD.” Additional massive fraud at Somali-run day care centers in Minnesota In a related story, YouTuber Nick Shirley, age 23, has exposed what appears to be massive additional fraud in taxpayer-subsidized, Somali-run day care centers. This has prompted the Department of Health and Human Services to announce that it is derailing the $185-million gravy train.  HHS Deputy Secretary Jim O'Neil said on X, “We have frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota,” reports The Blaze. O'NEIL:” “Intrepid journalists have made shocking and credible allegations of extensive fraud in Minnesota's child care programs. We believe the state of Minnesota has allowed scammers and fake day cares to siphon millions of taxpayer dollars over the past decade.” Muslim NYC Mayor sworn in with Quran Incoming New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani took his New Year's Eve oath of office on his grandfather's Quran and a 200-year-old Quaran from the New York Public Library. It marked the first time a New York City mayor used Islam's misguided text to be sworn in, reports the Associated Press. The 34-year-old Democrat became mayor in a long-closed subway station beneath City Hall, the first Muslim, the first South Asian and the first African-born person to hold that position. Most of Mamdani's predecessors were sworn in on a Bible, although the oath to uphold the federal, state, and city constitutions does not require the use of any religious text. In addition, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has directly labeled Mayor Mamdami a Communist.  Posting on X, Cruz wrote, “When communists rule, individual rights—invariably—are taken away.” Listen to the Big Apple Mayor's own words. MAMDAMI: “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” CT Governor to give $10 million to abortion giant Planned Parenthood Connecticut Democrat Governor Ned Lamont has announced he intends to give $10.4 million of taxpayers' money to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, in order to compensate for Trump's decision to defund the abortion giant, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The Connecticut Mirror reported the governor's latest spending proposal, part of $41 million to make up for lost federal funds for a variety of so-called “services,” bringing the total committed for that purpose up to almost $168 million. Parents: School cancels Christmas concert over “Jesus” lyrics And finally, parents in Fonda, New York are furious after the annual elementary school Christmas concert was canceled. Many suspect it's because a teacher was offended by the name of Jesus, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. Children at Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School had worked very hard to learn songs for the concert.  But there was one particular song that caused a bit of controversy. The song is called, “Oh, What a Special Night” and it tells the birth of Christ from the perspective of the animals around the manger scene. At the end of each verse, the children sang, “Thank you God for Baby Jesus.” The school district confirmed that the song was removed from the concert under guidance from their legal department.  Shortly after that, the concert was canceled. On Facebook, one parent wrote, “So tired of this woke culture, where one parent can call in and complain, and ruin it for the entire district.” Another said, “It is CHRISTmas. If someone doesn't agree with that, then they don't need to participate, and their parents don't need to attend. … The school has ruined the countless hours of practice the other kids have put in, as well as the joy and excitement they feel when they see their families in the audience. All of that happiness has been taken away.” Isaiah 9:6 declares, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Hindus guilty of 80 anti-Christian incidents on Christmas in India Hindu nationalists attacked Christians across India over the Christmas week. International Christian Concern reports over 80 incidents of violent attacks, hate speeches, and tensions during Christmas celebrations. In one case, a group of children in a Christmas carol procession were attacked, and their instruments were destroyed. Shashi Tharoor, a parliamentarian with the Indian National Congress, expressed “deep concern over the rising fear and anxiety among Christians in India. Sadly, there are attacks on Christians in different places of the country.”  India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. Matthew 5:10 says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” China continues massive military drills near Taiwan China carried out massive military drills around Taiwan this week. They were the most extensive war games to date, involving live fire, warships, and fighter jets.  Taiwan functions as an independent nation. However, China claims the territory as its own and uses military drills as an intimidation tactic.  The recent drills came after the United States agreed to an $11 billion arms sale to Taiwan last month. Australian church attendance virtually recovered post COVID Church attendance in Australia is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Church Pulse Check 2025 report surveyed 10% of Australian churches. An estimated 1.35 million Australians attend churches services every week. That's up from one million in 2021. It's almost back to pre-pandemic levels of 1.4 million in 2016. First two Trump vetoes In the United States, President Donald Trump issued the first vetoes of his second term on Tuesday. President Trump vetoed the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act. It would provide taxpayer funding to a local water project in Colorado. He wrote, “Enough is enough. My administration is committed to preventing American taxpayers from funding expensive and unreliable policies. Ending the massive cost of taxpayer handouts and restoring fiscal sanity is vital to economic growth and the fiscal health of the nation.” President Trump also vetoed the Miccosukee Reserved Area Amendment Act. The bill would expand the area reserved for the Miccosukee Tribe in Florida. Abortion Pill Rescue Network saved 7,000 babies Heartbeat International reports its Abortion Pill Rescue® Network has saved the lives of over 7,000 unborn babies. Listen to comments from Chris Migura, president of Logos. MIGURA: “We saw some incredible outcomes this year. There were over 76 million study sessions in Logos so far this year. Of the 10 countries with the most Logos users, five are non-English speaking. We're thrilled to see that global impact. “We reach new audiences. We're seeing more and more everyday believers -- not just pastors, students or scholars -- doing meaningful Bible study in Logos.” Logos had over four million users across 164 countries last year. The top countries for Logos usage were Brazil, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, and Singapore. The most-studied book of the Bible was the Gospel of Matthew. And the top Bible verse of the year was 2 Timothy 3:16. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Ugandan Muslims killed Christian evangelist Muslim extremists killed a Christian evangelist in Uganda earlier this month. Konkona Kasimu was a convert from Islam. He participated in multiple Christian-Muslim dialogues across Uganda. Several Muslims turned to Christ during one of these events on December 12. However, angry Muslims ambushed Kasimu that evening. He later died from the injuries he sustained during the attack. A local pastor told Morning Star News, “Kasimu was killed because of advancing the Kingdom of God. We have lost a great man who was well-versed in both the Quran and the Bible and used that knowledge to witness for Christ to many people.” Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame [the Devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Evangelicalism on rise in Catholic Spain Evangelicalism continues to grow in the historically Catholic country of Spain. Evangelical Focus reports that Christianity is the most deeply rooted among minority religions in the country. There are 4,700 evangelical places of worship in Spain this year. That's up from 3,700 places of worship ten years ago. At the same time, secularization is advancing. Over 40% of the population say they do not identify with any religion.  400 sex-selective abortions in United Kingdom Life News reports that new data from the United Kingdom government suggests at least 400 sex-selective abortions have taken place in the country.  The government says killing unborn babies on the basis of their sex is illegal. However, the U.K.'s largest abortion provider is telling women that sex-selective abortion is not illegal.  Catherine Robinson with Right to Life UK noted, “This report is very likely to underestimate the number of sex-selective abortions in the UK. The true scale of sex-selective abortions in the UK, is in all likelihood, far higher than the figures suggest.” America blew up Venezuelan port loading boat with narcotics U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday that the U.S. carried out a strike on a port facility in Venezuela. He said the facility was being used to load boats with narcotics. If confirmed, this would be the first land-based attack by the U.S. in Venezuela.  CNN and the New York Times report that the CIA carried out the attack with a drone strike. Rising church attendance among Millennials and Gen Z Evangelist Franklin Graham  spoke to Fox News about rising church attendance among younger generations. Data shows that Millennials and Gen Z lead monthly church attendance compared to other generations. Listen to comments from Graham. GRAHAM: “I think Gen Z and Millennials have been fed the lie of socialism. And socialism is basically anti-God. They've been turned off, I think, by this, and they're asking themselves, ‘There's got to be something more.' Yes, they're going to church, but Bible sales are up. So, they're buying Bibles. They're reading for themselves.” Kentucky restored Ten Commandments monument at Capitol Kentucky restored a permanent monument of the Ten Commandments to the state Capitol grounds earlier this month. The monument was put up in 1971. It was moved for construction in the 1980s. The legislature passed a resolution to restore it in 2000. However, a federal appeals court order kept the monument from being displayed until recently. First Liberty was involved in the legal case to restore the monument. Roger Byron, Senior Counsel for First Liberty, said, “We congratulate the people of Kentucky for restoring a part of their history. There is a long tradition of public monuments, like this one, that recognize the unique and important role the Ten Commandments have played in state and national history.” Lutheran Bible Translators delivered new Bible to Ghana tribe And finally, the Komba people of Ghana received their complete Bible last month after years of translation work. Missionary work among the Komba began in the 1950s. In 2005, Lutheran Bible Translators began to translate the New Testament which was completed in 2014. The Old Testament translation began in 2015. Now, they have the entire Bible. One of the translators said, “Reading the Bible has become part of my people. They are reading it day in and day out, and they have taken it upon themselves to do so. The Metaphysics of Race seeks to reframe debates on the conflicting scientific and spiritual traditions that underpinned the Nazi worldview, showing how despite the multitude of tensions and rivals among its adherents, it provided a coherent conceptual grid and possessed its own philosophical consistency. Drawing on a large variety of works, the volume offers insights into the intellectual climate that allowed the radical ideology of National Socialism to take hold. It examines the emergence of nuanced conceptions of race in interwar Germany and the pursuit of a new ethical and existential fulcrum in biology. Accordingly, the volume calls for a re-examination of the place of genetics in Nazi racial thought, drawing attention to the multi-register voices within the framework of interwar racial theory. Varshizky explores the ways in which these ideas provided new justifications for the Nazi revolutionary enterprise and blurred the distinction between fact and value, knowledge and faith, the secular and the sacred, and how they allowed Nazi thinkers to bounce across these epistemological divisions. This volume will be of interest to scholars of Nazi Germany and World War II, intellectual and cultural history, the history of science, and the philosophy of religion. Amit Varshizky is an Israeli-born, Berlin-based historian, novelist, and essayist. He holds a PhD from the School of Historical Studies at Tel Aviv University and has lectured at academic institutions in both Israel and Germany. His research focuses on the history of racism and antisemitism in modern Europe, the intellectual and cultural history of Nazism, German Romanticism, the philosophy of science, and theories of religion, myth, and secularism. His articles and reviews on these subjects have appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals. His book The Metaphysics of Race: Science and Faith in the Nazi Worldview (Open University of Israel and Yad Vashem, 2021) was awarded the Goldberg Prize of the Open University of Israel for Best Research Book (2019) and the Bartal Am VeOlam Prize of the Israel Historical Society for Outstanding Book of the Year (2022). (Contact@eanvoiceit.com) Trump Orders Airstrike Against ISIS Militants in Nigeria President Donald Trump ordered an airstrike against ISIS-affiliated militants in northwest Nigeria on Christmas Day!  Persecution.org reports that Christians in Nigeria have faced ongoing attacks with minimal support from the international community until recently.  In the first 7 months of this year alone, more than 7000 Christians have been killed, an average of 35 per day.  President Trump said in a post on Truth Social that the ISIS militants have been, ‘viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians.'  Christmas Celebrations Return to Bethlehem and Nazareth FOX News reports that Christmas celebrations returned this year to both Bethlehem and Nazareth.  In Nazareth, where Jesus grew up, festivities were rooted in a growing Christian presence.  In Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, celebrations took place after more than two years of disruption.  Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics reports that over 184,000 Christians live in Israel as of Christmas Eve of 2024 a growth of 0.7%.  This makes Israel one of the few countries in the Middle East where the Christian community continues to grow. This is good news!  However, Heather Johnston, founder and CEO of the US Israel Education Association said, ‘At Christmas, the contrast between Nazareth and Bethlehem tells a larger story.  Christians are flourishing in Nazareth under Israeli rule, while in Bethlehem, under Palestinian Authority, the Christian population has been shrinking for years.' In fact there were reports for multiple incidents targeting Christians in the week leading up to Christmas for those living under Palestinian Authority areas, like Bethlehem.  Israel's Foreign Ministry responded by warning of, ‘growing hostility toward Christians'. Continue to pray for believers in Israel. James 1:2-4 says Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Massive Financial Waste in the US News of massive financial waste has surfaced from The Office of Audit Services.  The watchdog report was released last week.  It showed that over $207.5 million was issued in managed care payments on behalf of deceased enrollees between July 2021 to July 2022.  American Family News reports that a new provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill will require states to audit their Medicaid beneficiary lists to help reduce these payments in the future.  In fact by 2027 it will be required that Medicaid agencies practice quarterly audits of their beneficiary lists. Barna Releases List of Top Trends in 2025 Barna Research released their list of the top 10 trends, or most read, reports of 2025.  Here are the top 3.   3)  Women and Men Experience Church Attendance Differently. A report released in October.  The conclusion of the report shows that of 2025, 43 percent of men and 36 percent of women report attending church regularly, based on reported weekly attendance.  In 5 of the last 6 years, men have outpaced women in this key measure of religious engagement and the 2025 gap is the largest measured.   2) Young Adults Are Leading a Resurgence in Church Attendance. A report released in September.  This report shows that Millennial and Gen Z Christians are attending church more frequently than before and more often than older generations.  The typical Gen Z churchgoer now attends 1.9 weekends per month, while Millennial churchgoers average 1.8 times, representing the highest attendance levels among young Christians since Barna began tracking them. 1) Belief in Jesus Is Rising - Especially Among Younger Adults A report released back in April.  The study reveals that 66 percent of all US adults say they have made a personal commitment to Jesus that is still important in their life today.  That marks a 12 percentage point increase since 2021. We celebrate a growing number of people following the Lord with Psalm 100:1-3:  "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.  Know that the Lord is God.  It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture." YouVersion Bible App Reaches One Billion Downloads And finally, CBN.com reports that it has been a big year for the YouVersion Bible App in 2025.  The app hit a huge milestone of having one billion downloads!  YouVersion has seen a 27 percent increase in daily use in Sub-Saharan Africa and a 33 percent increase in daily Bible engagement in North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.  It also reported a 14 percent increase in North America.  So what was the most read verse of 2025?  It was Isaiah 41:10 that says, So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. The year marks the fourth time in six years that Isaiah 41:10 has claimed the top spot. (Contact@eanvoiceit.com) Christmas for Christians Internationally Hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas Day yesterday!  But in some countries celebrating Christmas is illegal and must be done in secret.  Persecution.org reported what Christians in certain countries risk by acknowledging the Christmas Holiday. In Brunei, in Asia, public displays of Christmas are banned. While Christians are allowed to recognize the holiday inside their homes or churches, they can't hold any public Christmas celebrations. The nation officially banned public Christmas displays in 2014, fearing that they could lead Muslims away from Islam. Muslims found violating the ban, by wearing Santa hats or in some fashion partaking in banned Christmas festivities, could face up to five years in prison. Additionally, Christians are prohibited from spreading the gospel to Muslims. In China, they allow approved groups to hold restricted Christmas celebrations, which vary by region. Individuals younger than 18 years old are forbidden to attend Christmas church celebrations, and authorities continue their campaign to force churches to inject communism into Christian worship. In Iran, Christmas gatherings are allowed in registered churches and approved districts. Small, unregistered house-churches, particularly those of Muslim converts to Christianity, are often raided by authorities.  In November 2025, two individuals who converted to Christianity from Islam began serving a two-year prison sentence for charges related to their participation in a Christian house church. In addition, all church services are forbidden to be conducted in Farsi, Iran's native language. Instead, foreign languages, such as Armenian or Assyrian, are typically used to curb the spread of Christianity to native-born Muslim-Iranians.  Read about other countries in the link on our transcript at www.theworldview.com Ephesians 6:18 says  "praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints" Christians Blocked from Attending Christmas Service in Indonesia Morning Star News reports that Muslims in the West Java Province, Indonesia formed a human wall to block Christians from attending a Christmas service on December 14th.  Videos on social media show police officers and onlookers watching dozens of Muslim men and women holding hands to form a human chain, making anti-Christian comments.  Indonesian society in recent years has adopted a more conservative Islamic character, and churches involved in evangelistic outreach are at risk of being targeted by Islamic extremist groups, according to Open Doors. Nigerian Christian Receives Full Pardon from Death Sentence A Nigerian Christian farmer who was sentenced to death after killing a Fulani radical in self-defense following an attack on his farm has been released from prison after receiving a full pardon according to the Christian Post. Christian rights advocates including US Rep. Riley M Moore of West Virginia are celebrating the release of Sunday Jackson, a student and farmer from the Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, who was sentenced to death in 2021 over a 2015 confrontation on his farm.  Here is Representative Riley M Moore calling attention to this issue to the US House. MOORE: “I would urge the Nigerian government to take a look at pardoning Sunday Jackson, who is an individual who was fighting for his own life, defending his life against one of these Fulani militants. That Fulani militant lost his life in that struggle, and now that person, Sunday Jackson, is facing the death penalty! Where's the justice in that? All these Fulani militants are breaking the law. They are breaking Nigerian law. And so, Sunday Jackson disarms this person with a knife, protects his own life. He's going to prison, and now faces the death penalty, and Fulani militants, just roaming bands of them, with AK-47s, and that's no problem.” Moore went on to say ‘Sunday Jackson is free! After more than a decade in prison serving a death sentence for defending himself, Sunday Jackson has been pardoned…I have been advocating for Sunday's release both in public and in private meetings, including during my recent Congressional Delegation visit to Nigeria.' Psalm 138:7 says, Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. Woman Dying of Cancer Receives Hundreds of Christmas Cards Good News Network tells of Clare Jones from Wales a mother of 3 who was told her cancer was no longer responding to treatment and given months to live made a simple request on Facebook she said, ‘After finding out last week that this is probably going to be my last Christmas.  I am looking for ways to make it super special!  I'm a simple person who likes simple things.  I love Christmas Cards!  I would love to have lots of cards this year!...when you are doing your cards could you pop an extra one for me?' That post was shared 10,000 times and her mailbox has received hundreds of cards this holiday season.  Many of the cards contain show and movie tickets, vouchers for camping trips, free flights and other gifts.  Jones told the BBC ‘I have many people around me who care for me.  If love could cure cancer, I would be cured.'
