In the latest episode of Dirty Kurt's Dugout, host Kurt Bevacqua interviews filmmaker Renee James of Shoeless Joe Productions and former slugger Gorman Thomas, who played with Kurt in Milwaukee. For a decade, Renee has been working on a movie about Shoeless Joe Jackson's entire life - not just the infamous and perhaps wrongly understood Black Sox scandal of 1919 - but also his impoverished upbringing and his amazing baseball career. "I firmly believe Joe got a raw deal, and his story deserves to be told," she tells Kurt. "I hope we do it justice. " Gorman starred for Milwaukee's 1982 World Series team, but he's more excited to talk about the 2018 Brewers. He thinks they're on their way to a World Series of their own. "I'm pretty well sure we're going to get by the Dodgers," Gorman tells Kurt, referencing the National League Championship Series that starts Friday at Miller Field before moving to Los Angeles. He also tells Kurt that leading MVP candidate Christian Yelich has athleticism and skills that remind him of Hall of Famer Robin Yount, who played with both Gorman and Kurt.
