Though some thought it might never end, 2020 is now only 48 hours away from becoming a near memory of the past - joining thousands of other years in the ever-accumulating book of time. And although 2020 will largely be remembered as one of the “worst” years of our modern lives, 2020 will always be special to us in that it gave birth to FinalVibe. Because of that, we bring you episode 30 as a collection of personal reflections from FinalVibe CEO Kevin Reape. As Kevin reminds us all, “a crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”In this very unique solo episode, Kevin speaks openly about the deeper origins of FinalVibe. More specifically, you’ll hear him monologue about his thoughts on death, whether religion or science or something else is “getting it right,” and whether or not the way we live within our very limited perspectives matters. As you’ll hear him say, FinalVibe doesn’t have the answer for you or anyone else. But what FinalVibe does offer us all is the opportunity to redefine our lives through legacy. For some, that will mean prioritizing their health. For others, it might mean starting a new business or learning a new career skill. And for others yet, it could mean going back to school, starting a family, or even starting your own podcast. As cliche as it may seem, the possibilities really are endless. All in all, the point of episode 30 is to encourage everyone to think deeply about your existence and what story you’d like to tell with the life you’ve been given. In 367 days, 2021 will be over just as soon as it started. Will you experience it to the fullest or let it fall short? If you enjoyed our podcast in 2020, would you consider leaving us a positive review on your streaming platform of choice? Your kind words help more people find our podcast more easily, which allows us to spread the FinalVibe lifestyle to new audiences every day. Thank you so much for your continued support.Learn more about FinalVibe at FinalVibe.com, or on Instagram @FinalVibe.
Adam Tilley is a financial advisor, which means he operates in the business of money and how it can be saved, invested, or squandered. And, given that money is one of the most important resources in all of our lives, we thought it made sense to pick Adam’s brain about what it might mean to live out the FinalVibe lifestyle with your pocketbook. A few interesting topics we touch on include:- Is there a right way to “do money?”- To what extent should we spend our money on ourselves over others and those in need?- Can money buy happiness? And, of course, much much more.Adam is also a husband and a father of a beautiful daughter, which adds a nice legacy-centered twist to his newly developed perspective on life since taking on the responsibility of parenthood. For a bit of fun banter at the end, we also discuss Missouri Tiger football, how Mr. Goodcents ranks in terms of bread quality against its major competitors, and how much protein Adam eats on a daily basis. You knew it was coming. If you’ve been enjoying our podcast, would you consider leaving us a positive review on your streaming platform of choice? Dropping us a favorable comment or two helps more people find our podcast more easily, and - we’ll be honest - we like that idea quite a bit. Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support! Have an amazing week.
One of the most frequent comments we get from those interacting with FinalVibe for the first time is this: "I don’t get it. It seems intriguing, but I don’t get it. Is FinalVibe something you do? A club? What is it?”We’re glad you asked, which is why we’ve dedicated an entire episode to elaborating on that very question. What is FinalVibe? What was it designed to be and what has it become? And perhaps most importantly of all, how you can start taking practical steps today toward crafting the legacy you’ll one day leave behind? As Kevin has said on numerous occasions, we believe FinalVibe is for everyone, but it won’t be for everyone all the time. There is a time to be ambitious and a time to sit and wait, but the beauty of FinalVibe is that living a legacy-minded life searches for meaning across all seasons. And, of course, remember that whether you decide to channel the FinalVibe mentality in your own life is 100% up to you. We’re just here to provide the resources and motivations for those who decide to take the risk. This episode also touches on the power of perspective, how failure might be the most common denominator among wildly successful people, and why we’re thankful for JK Rowling and the Harry Potter universe. If you’ve been enjoying our podcast, would you consider leaving us a positive review on your streaming platform of choice? Dropping us a favorable comment or two helps more people find our podcast more easily, and - we’ll be honest - we like that idea. Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support.
John Green is a husband, a father, and a video game coach, but that doesn’t speak in the slightest to his eloquent thoughts on the power of perspective and its ability to create change. In fact, we’re pretty sure episode 27 is now home to one of the most thought-provoking monologues this podcast has seen to date, which makes this particular chat one you won’t want to miss.Trust me when we say this is not a boring listen. From start to finish, we discuss John’s journey from what he would describe as an “awkward” kid with a prodigy-like mind all the way through big money success in the mortgage and banking industry to his current pitstop of being a trailblazer of the increasingly massive esports industry. We also touch on why he’d rather read a well-written instruction manual over "Lord of the Rings,” his expertise in the areas of change for personal growth and development, and why living a life without expectations can lead you into happiness and away from toxicity.Like we said, you won’t want to skip this one.Lastly, if you can honestly say that you are enjoying the FinalVibe Podcast, we couldn't be happier! We would also be wildly grateful for a quick five-star review on your streaming platform of choice. As always, thanks so much for listening.
A common answer we get when we ask people about their legacy is that people want to be remembered for having meaningful relationships. And for that reason, we decided to dedicate an entire podcast to thinking out loud about what it could mean to live out the FinalVibe lifestyle relationally. What does it look like to pursue legacy-minded friendships? How can the FinalVibe mindset positively impact your marriage? And is it possible to write a better story for yourself and those around you by pressing more deeply into meaningful relationships with those who aren’t as naturally easy to connect with?Whether this is your first time listening in with us or your twenty-sixth, we hope you’ll feel challenged for the better in terms of how to love those around you well.On a lighter note, we also provide a handful of exciting updates on the FinalVibe front, which include our announcement of the FinalVibe 365 template, the addition of authentic leather FinalVibe journals to capture your written legacy, and a bit of branding redesign. And, of course, we update you on how our epic 10,000 calorie challenge went earlier this month. If you’ve been enjoying our solo episodes, how about showing a little love by dropping us a favorable review on your favorite streaming platform? We can’t tell you how much we would appreciate it.Learn more about FinalVibe at FinalVibe.com.
Our twenty-fifth episode is an extremely special episode in that we welcome our first repeat guest, Gina McGinnis, back to the show! Gina was featured on the sixth episode of the FinalVibe Podcast where she shared her thoughts on how to exude positivity in all facets of life. And, if you remember correctly, Gina had also set out on an ambitious goal to lose 100 pounds of body fat in an attempt to regain control of her health and wellness.Today, we were able to hear exactly how that adventure is going. How far has she made it? How many pounds has she lost? How has she done it? And what have the greatest obstacles been? This episode is also rich with talk about the skill of navigating adversity for the sake of pursuing any goal to the end. Because as it turns out, every adventure is easiest in the beginning - when you’re close to home and you can still taste and see everything that was familiar for so long. But it’s when you’ve long left your place of origin in the dust when most of us are faced with the true challenge of achieving any goal - pressing through the unknown and overcoming the fear of knowing the hardest parts are yet to come. You’ll also be tickled to know that Gina is officially launching her own life coaching business! We also chat about time management, whether or not how you treat people matters, and why human beings seem to be so drawn to meaningful relationships. And, on a much lighter note, we dive headfirst into Bachelorette gossip, the possibility of Kevin one day taking over Chris Harrison’s job, and the mystery of the enneagram. If you do happen to be enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, consider giving us a positive review on your platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it, and you can tap yourself twice on the back for having knocked out your good deed of the day.
For episode 24 of the FinalVibe Podcast we welcome husband, father, and triathlon enthusiast Tony Rigdon to the studio! In the first portion of our chat, we have an interesting discussion about cheating in the sport of endurance sport. How does it happen? Why does it happen? And what about Tony's past led him to be so passionate about justice and the perpetually difficult balance between right and wrong?Beyond that, we go into detail about Tony's upbringing and how he became the person he is today. How has the recent death of his parents impacted his own understanding of legacy and the stories we will all leave behind? How has becoming a husband changed his pursuit? And perhaps most interestingly, how does he think about legacy as a father of a young daughter? And to be honest, that's just the beginning of it. Tony's story is full of all kinds of twists and turns, but one thing was abundantly clear: Tony’s definition of legacy is making sure those who come after him are taken care of. According to him, it's about leaving good memories for those that you loved, and we couldn't agree more.To name a few more exciting bits from this episode, you'll also find that Tony and his wife paid off six figures of debt in record time! There is legacy in finance, and he is certainly living proof of that. We also discuss the origin of his competitive spirit and how he was able to complete California's gnarliest 100-mile bike ride before he could even legally obtain a driving permit. Long story short, this episode is bound to entertain you in new and unique ways.If you do happen to be enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, consider giving us a positive review on your platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it, and you can tap yourself twice on the back for having knocked out your good deed of the day.
Most of us spend no less than 1/3 of our lives “doing work,” which means 1/3 of our cumulative opportunity to leave a meaningful legacy happens at work. Because of that, we thought it would be cool to chat through 11 ways you could start channeling the FinalVibe mindset in your own career starting today. From the art of sending thoughtful and well-written emails to investing in your own pursuit of continued education, we like to think episode 23 is packed full of practical value in the areas of excellence and self-development. We might be a bit biased, but we couldn’t recommend the listen enough. And, if you do happen to be a repeat listener of the FinalVibe podcast, would you consider giving us a five start review on your streaming platform of choice? We can’t tell you how much we would appreciate it.
Episode 22 is unique in that we interview one of the original 20 people to commit to the FinalVibe lifestyle through official membership - William Bradley, a 19 year-old dietetics student at the University of Missouri. In this chat, we hear all about William’s atypical experience shadowing medical professionals in high school, his passion for pursuing a career in dietetics at Mizzou, and how he plans to start crafting his own FinalVibe before he can even legally throw back a shot of Glenfiddich. For those who might be interested, we also talk to William about what college life has been in the midst of a pandemic that sent him home halfway through his freshman year. What challenges has he faced? How has learning at the university level changed? And deeper yet, has this virus exposed our undeniable need for human interaction and community? You'll find out once you tune in.And, of course, in our lighter portion toward the end, we explore William’s strange aversion to chocolate, his goals to start a fitness-based YouTube channel and compete in a men’s physique show, and why he dressed up as a unicorn princess for Halloween 2020.Last but not least, William smashes a hefty 220 grams of protein per day. How’s that for a FinalVibe podcast record? If you’ve been enjoying our solo episodes, how about showing a little love by dropping us a favorable review on your favorite streaming platform? We can’t tell you how much we would appreciate it.William’s Instagram: [LINK]
Much like episode 19, episode 21 holds a soft spot in our hearts in that we sat down with Andrew’s wife Alexa to talk about legacy across dance, family, and - of course - marriage. From grandmother to mother to daughter, the art of technical dance was destined for Alexa’s bloodstream essentially before her life ever began. As a little girl deeply rooted in Mizzou tradition, she fondly speaks of knowing from a young age that she “wanted to be one of those girls” - an affectionate reference to the sparkly Golden Girls dance squad that has been dazzling the University of Missouri football experience for more than 50 years now. As it turns out, dance is a powerful way to leave a meaningful legacy when shared with the people you love.In addition to dance talk, we touch on the topics of family, the memory of her Grandma Shirley, how important it is to be present and supportive in the lives of those you care for, and how legacy after marriage becomes a lot more about selflessness and a lot less about individual ambition. And, on a fun lighter note, we finally hear the wild and unlikely story behind how Andrew and Alexa met, which is chock-full of social media embarrassment, Ryan Gosling memes, and a perfectly timed glass of wine from Les Bourgeois in Rocheport, Missouri. You’ll also be surprised to find out that Alexa tries to pack in an impressive 90+ grams of protein per day to support her own dance, strength, and performance goals - a question we now ask every FinalVibe Podcast guest. On that note, if you do happen to be enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, consider giving us a positive review on your platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it, and you can tap yourself twice on the back for having knocked out your good deed of the day.
In episode 20, we chat with Brad Newkirk, owner of B&B Bagel, who actually jokingly refers to himself as Bagel Man given the thousands (and perhaps over a million) made-from-scratch bagels he has served over the last twenty years.Alongside a hearty discussion over the magic behind the success of the bagels themselves, we were able to touch on a handful of meaningful topics we think you’ll find encouraging in terms of your own pursuit of legacy. To give you an abbreviated list, you’ll hear banter about:• Brad’s love for daily interaction with people and how that fuels his passion to exceed expectations• his perspective on standards and how high they should be• the pursuit of perfection each and every day• the importance of showing up on time and a good work ethic• the value of family and being a good man above all elseOn a lighter note, we found out that Brad enjoys running most without headphones - a countercultural approach to consuming all the podcast noise we can in 2020. Another fun thing we he said? Don’t be afraid to ask the prettiest girl in the room to dance. If that’s not legacy, we don’t know what is.If you’re enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, we couldn’t be happier. As a small token of thanks, would you be willing to give us a positive review on your streaming platform of choice? We sure would appreciate it. Have a great week, everyone.
In today’s episode we welcome Kevin’s wife, Jacqueline Reape to the podcast! By day Jacqueline works at VU Realty in Columbia, Missouri, but the story of her inner person is much deeper than any nine-to-five could ever meaningfully define. In fact, Jacqueline is a hobbyist, which means if there’s a hobby out there, she’s probably tried it. One of her most well-known hobbies? Scrapbooking, actually, which leads us into an interesting discussion surrounding the way we document history. Is history being skewed by what people choose to highlight on social media? Will digital mediums like social media prove to be a reliable way to document our lives long-term? And better yet, is there a certain sentimental power in knowing that our own hands and the hands of our loved ones were the hands that places the photos between the pages of our most meaningful scrapbooks? We also dive into conversation about what legacy can look like in leadership, the therapeutic benefits of exercise and letting movement fuel your vivacity, and when it’s important to prioritize friendship over productivity.Next, we dig into their marriage and the legacies they both hope to leave behind when - as we like to say - it’s all said and done. And let us tell you, folks, this is the soil where all the choice gems were sleeping peacefully. The topics we discuss include:• the importance of assuming positive intent in your loved ones• their longstanding commitment to never bicker about the small things• making your spouse’s dreams your own dreams• their desire to be remembered as a couple that loved people well in the company of good food and drink• their hopes for the next 30 years to be “more of the same”And finally, we think you’ll be most moved by Jacqueline’s hopes to be remembered as the friend who was there - the present one - in both the moments of celebration and difficulty. Maybe legacy is more simple than we thought? If you’re enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, we couldn’t be happier. As a small token of thanks, would you be willing to give us a positive review on your streaming platform of choice? We sure would appreciate it. Have a great week, folks.Hosts: Kevin Reape (@kevinreape) and Andrew White (@aweswhiteGH)

Living the FinalVibe lifestyle isn’t all about the pursuit of big fame and Maseratis. In fact, sometimes it can be as simple as talking meaningfully with the people you’ve known and loved your entire life, which is exactly what Kevin was able to do in this down-to-earth episode with Jan “G-ma Jan” Kempker - his beloved grandmother.Jan is 75, which means she’s seen life evolve through the ’60’s and ’70’s all the way through present day 2020. And guess what? We decided to take advantage of that sort of perspective and wisdom. In this episode, we touch on how dating has changed, the importance of following your dream even when it seems impossible, the dangers of social media, and whether or not the United States will be able to reunite itself after one of the most tumultuous political years in recent history. On the lighter side, we also discuss whether or not men should wear leggings, Jan’s occasional craving for White Castle, and the fact that George Clooney is one the best looking guys in Hollywood history. If you’re enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, consider giving us a positive review on your platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it.Hosts: Kevin Reape (@kevinreape) and Andrew White (@aweswhiteGH)www.instagram.com/finalvibeMore info:FinalVibe.com@Twitter@Instagram/Facebook
In episode 16, we interview Martez Manuel, Nate Peat, Angie Azzanni, and Travis Craig - alumni dynamic duo and co-directors of COR in Columbia, Missouri - in epic legacy fashion.Martez Manuel and Nate Peat both play Division 1 football respectively at the University of Missouri and Stanford, but - as you’ll soon find in this episode - that’s only the most recent chapter of their wildly inspiring story that started when they met each other back in middle school. United through football, friendship, and the bond they developed through COR and YoungLife, Martez and Nate set out with purpose to live out the dreams they knew they were capable of achieving - even when the cards seemed to be stacked against them. From midnight study sessions locked in their rooms to staying late after practice to run extra drills when their teammates had gone home, these guys cultivate motivation, discipline, and drive in ways some adults never discover. Now, you can catch Martez on the SEC Network while Nate makes his presence known as an offensive threat in the Pac-12.That being said, we highly recommend this episode for anyone who has ever felt like the underdog. Why? Because Martez and Nate have both proven that success and self-improvement are attainable for those who put in the work and reject the excuses. In fact, there’s roughly a 100% chance you leave this podcast feeling inspired to pursue a meaningful legacy in your own life starting today. Finally, if you’re enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, consider giving us a positive review on your platform of choice! We sure would appreciate it.
Episode 15 welcomes female fighter Jessica Evans to the FinalVibe platform, and this just might be one of our most powerful episodes to date.As a victim of physical abuse in a relationship when she was 19, Jessica turned to boxing gloves and mitts in the name of self-defense with something big to prove to herself and the world around her. But that introductory story just scratches the surface of the depths of conversation we dive into throughout this episode.Beyond that, we discuss her spirited decision to leave the US for a less traditional educational experience in Sydney, Australia, how she learned humility through being the “sixth man” in media production, and how she eventually wound up in Los Angeles in "La La Land-fashion" chasing some of her wildest dreams yet. And, did we mention the David Goggins vibes? If there’s any bit of your inner clock that tick ticks on talk of motivation and discipline, Jessica is your gal. From her beliefs in the power of preparation all the way to her desire to be remembered as one who encourages those around her to become limitless in their ambitions, her episode really covers it all in terms of legacy and what it means to live a life well-lived.Lastly, if you’re enjoying the FinalVibe podcast, consider giving us a positive review on your platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it.
You know what time it is, people. It’s time for another solo episode with Kevin and Andrew, which means updates on Kevin’s 100-mile cycling endeavor, Andrew’s aim to build his co-owned fitness business to full-time work status, and a bit of banter about whether or not it’s possible to eat 30 Chick-fil-A cookies in one day. This week we also feature a brief Q&A section from our growing social media following, so you’ll want to be sure to tune in for that and look out for future opportunities for your own questions to be featured on the podcast. And yes, we will read your name out loud if you lob us a question worth launching over the left field fence. If you’ve been enjoying our solo episodes, how about showing a little love by dropping us a favorable review on your favorite streaming platform? We can’t tell you how much we would appreciate it.
In this episode, we talk to Cayla Timberlake - head coach of the adored Mizzou Golden Girls, who actually recently became a first-time mother to her precious daughter Sophia in May of this year. As you might expect, we take you through a behind-the-scenes look of exactly what it’s like to be a modern-day Golden Girl and how all of the traditions surrounding their white boots and gold sequins began over 50 years ago, but we promise you this episode is packed with so much more. And before you ask, yes, we made time to her about the diet and exercise routines that keep her squad in peak athletic shape all year round. On an even deeper level, we were moved to learn that Cayla’s long-term hopes for her legacy as just the third head coach at Mizzou of all-time are rooted in her passion for being remembered as a mentor and "second mother" first - not just a dance coach. As Cayla puts it, everyone enjoys the reward of a trophy in the moment, but how you treat people in the long-run is what matters most. To her, that’s legacy, and we couldn’t agree more.We also encourage you to hang around for the last bit of the episode once we dive into the lighter side of things. We banter about whether or not The Notebook is cliche, Cayla’s choice entrees at her favorite Columbia eateries, and the reality that apparently everyone loves mac and cheese. If you’re enjoying the podcast, consider giving us a solid review on your streaming platform of choice. And then go buy a sick new graphic tee. We doubt you’ll regret it.
Welcome to episode 12! This week we had the privilege of speaking with Melissa Mulligan - kindness enthusiast, lover of music, and well-accomplished vocal coach, entrepreneur, and young talent developer in the music industry. But what we think you’ll enjoy most about this episode isn’t the mere discussion of Melissa’s credentials and “surface-level” accomplishments. Instead, we think you’ll be captivated - just like we were - by Melissa’s depth of speech, advocacy for kindness and confidence, and her intention to live a life of both personal purpose and community responsiveness. In other words, if you like to think about “big things,” this episode just might stimulate your imagination. As she puts it, life is a classroom, and we couldn’t agree more. The trick is simply whether or not you choose to pursue the educational journey. The choice is yours. On a lighter note, we did find out that Melissa eats around 80g of protein when she’s “doing what she’s supposed to do,” which is actually one of our best answers yet. Are you prioritizing your protein today? She also apparently hates fast food. Who can blame her?Lastly, we want to be clear that we genuinely appreciate your time and attention. If you’re enjoying our content, consider giving us a positive review on some obscure streaming platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it, and you’ll have done your good deed for the day. In the FinalVibe podcast studio, we call that a win-win. Now go make your whole week a win-win.
This week we welcome well-known entrepreneur John Hall to chat about all things business, family, and legacy.More specifically, we touch on the genesis of John’s business-minded spirit as a elementary school hustler, his thoughts on whether or not the grass is always greener, and how to piece together the perfect combination of personality traits for long term growth and success in the start-up sphere. As quickly as this hour seemed to fly by, we think you’ll enjoy every minute of it. Not only that, but you just might walk away feeling inspired to think more meaningfully about your own legacy and how to pursue it. And, as an extra tidbit of FinalVibe candy, Kevin and Andrew stick around for a few minutes after the interview portion for some practical considerations for how you can make your own life more excellent and repeatable right now.The only thing this episode is missing? We neglected to ask John how much protein he eats per day.If you enjoy this episode, do us a kindness and leave us a positive review. We sure would appreciate it.
This week we’re coming at you with another solo episode, which means you get a full update on Kevin’s goal to bike 100 miles in one go and Andrew’s summer shredding update.Alongside a handful of other philosophical nuggets, you’ll hear us touch how to pursue your legacy in the eyes of those you love, how nature makes us feel refreshingly small in a big universe, and whether or not humans were born to long for adventure.Toward the end, you’ll hear about Andrew’s love for girl pop during a tough training session and Kevin’s affinity for a Bud Select - the apparently perfect drinking beer on a college football Saturday. Why? Because sometimes it’s just fun to get to know your favorite FinalVibe co-hosts.Oh, and did we mention that we’ve now committed to a Tour de Columbia 10,000 Calorie Challenge? You heard right. This may be the promised birth of the FinalVibe YouTube channel - just a few friends bopping around Columbia, Missouri’s best local eateries in search of the perfect way to crush a mountain of delicious food in the name of spreading love to our favorite restaurants. The current list? We figure Cafe Berlin, 44 Canteen, and Flat Branch have to make the list. But where else should we go?We hope you’ll interact with us on social media and let us know.If this is your first time interacting with the FinalVibe podcast, we want to say hi and thank you for your precious time. If you like it, give us a nice little review on your streaming platform of choice. It sure can’t hurt.
Molly Cover is the mother of four boys under 10, which essentially means she’s already earned her ticket to the Parenting Hall of Fame. And if you’re thinking, “Oh, that poor woman," then don’t. From start to finish, it’s clear that Molly’s heart sings of gratitude and joy for the gift of having been blessed with the mission of parenting 80% of a future basketball team.As a bit of a sneak peek, we touch on the challenges of parenting in the wake of a screen-obsessed culture, the unique qualities of each of her boys’ personalities, and Molly and David’s passion behind keeping God at the center of their family’s daily motivations. In terms of legacy talk, we’d be lying if we said things don’t get a bit heartfelt, and who is surprised? As it turns out, being a mother in and of itself is maybe one of the most meaningful fingerprints you can leave on the world. On the lighter side of things, we discuss Molly’s love for reading recipes and cooking new meals, watching 80’s movies with power soundtracks, and - of course - how much protein she eats per day. And yes, Chick-fil-A is her favorite fast food restaurant just like everyone else.As always, thank you so much for tuning into the FinalVibe podcast. We realize you’ve got a lot of content out there competing for your attention, so we appreciate every second you dedicate to the consideration of your own legacy. If you like what you’re hearing, give us a stellar review on your platform of choice. We sure would appreciate it.
Rachel Stuck works in data analytics for MU Health Care, which means this episode answers the question many of us have been asking ourselves for the last few months: What has it really been like inside hospital walls during the pandemic? We also touch on exactly what it means to work in data analytics and how saving lives can be done even when you work “behind-the-scenes.” And, of course, we touch on legacy, how Rachel approaches her pursuit of purpose each day on the job, and her efforts to create rising interest in women to the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. As she puts it, “girls really can do everything,” and she is certainly proof of that.In addition to that, we toss out a few hot (but fun) takes on whether or not it’s “okay” to have a bad day in the customer service industry, what it’s like to give your thesis defense over Zoom during a worldwide pandemic, and why Chick-fil-A is seemingly the most popular fast food choice in America.Lastly, we want to thank you for spending an hour of your precious time with us. If you're enjoying the podcast, would you consider taking a few moments to give us a positive review? We sure would appreciate it. And, you can bet your bottom dollar we’ll be back next week providing more engaging and thought-provoking content for anyone looking to optimize their own pursuit of legacy. Have a great week, folks.
In this second solo episode, Kevin and Andrew discuss the practical implications of the FinalVibe membership, the growing FinalVibe product line (including the new custom blend of FinalVibe coffee, branded hats, and the softest shirts this side of the Mississippi), and their own personal goals in the categories of brain, body, and globe. You’ll learn all about Kevin’s interests in philosophy, his fat loss goal, his goal to ride 100 miles by bike from his home in Columbia to his childhood residence in St. Louis, and his attempt to increase diversity in the esports community. When it’s Andrew’s turn to chime in, you’ll get a deeper look into his passion for continued education in the topics of evidenced-based diet and training, his own endeavor to be as lean as he’s ever been, and his goal of becoming a more selfless conversationalist in the workplace. If you enjoy this episode, subscribe and tune in with us next week. And if this is your first episode, give the first six episodes a listen too. It sure can’t hurt, and you just might walk away with a fresh take on legacy.
In terms of “nine to five” work, Gina McGinnis is a production coach at Veteran’s United in Columbia, Missouri, but her work in the office only scratches the surface in terms of the positive energy she channels in her own life and the lives of those around her. What do we mean by that? Well, Gina considers herself a positivity enthusiast, which might be the understatement of the year - and we’re convinced it’ll take you less than 15 minutes to understand why. Among many things, Gina is a believer in setting big goals and making the most of a good conversation with those she loves. In this episode, we discuss Gina’s habits of morning mindfulness, her love for celebrating others in their successes, and her exciting decision to join the FinalVibe movement as member #012 live on the show. On an even more vulnerable note, you’ll hear all about her life-changing goal to lose 100 pounds of body fat through evidence-based training and diet. As a bit of a tease, she’s impressively already 25% of the way there, and it’s obvious by the confidence in her voice that her 100 pound fat loss journey will only be the first of many significant accomplishments to come. She also apparently hasn’t set foot on a treadmill yet, and she’s still mindfully eating Cookie Crisp and pizza on occasion. So, if you want to hear her "secrets for success," we highly recommend you tune in.We also laugh a bit at the end over chats of which character she’d be from the movie “Titanic,” her celebrity crush on Mario Lopez, and why pizza is it’s own food group. Finally, consider taking a page out of Gina’s book and dropping us a positive review if you like what you hear. FinalVibe may be young, but we promise you we’re just getting started. Every review counts, and we sure would appreciate it.
John Crawford quite literally does “all the things.” On paper, he's a prime beef producer, a banker, and the co-owner of a beautiful new wedding venue modeled after an 1800’s barn in rural Hamilton, Missouri. But more importantly than that, John would be quick to tell you he's a man of faith and family - the lucky husband to his lovely wife Lana and the proud father of four wonderful children. As we found out, the accomplishments in his life are simply the fruits of an unmatched work ethic and a humble spirit, which just happen to be attributes that reflect the core of everything FinalVibe was designed to become. Also, as of 10 a.m. the day of recording, John became a first-time grandfather of twins, which means the timing couldn’t have been any better for a chat about legacy and what it means to lead a life well-lived.In this episode, we talk to John about cattle farming, how to save and spend your money wisely, and how life tends to “take care of itself” when you value integrity above all else. Beyond that, we touch on the power of being present in the moment, valuing relationships more than accomplishments, and even a few bonus nuggets of wisdom on the topic of dating and parenting. Long story short, you probably don’t want to miss this one.As always, we really do appreciate your time. We know there are a lot of podcasts out there competing for you attention, so it’s truly an honor that you’ve chosen to spend an hour with us. If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve heard thus far from FinalVibe, consider giving us a review on your streaming platform of choice. We really would appreciate it.
Jay Wallis isn’t your typical journalist - he’s a multi-skilled journalist, which means he literally does it all. From working in front of the camera to editing his own footage behind the scenes, there isn’t a trick in the business he doesn’t have up his sleeve. And, now that he has landed in Dallas for the foreseeable future, there’s no telling where his creativity will take his pursuit of capturing news in the most exciting and cutting-edge ways.In this episode, we talk about why football is “better” in Texas, how to survive the dog-eat-dog pressures of the world of journalism, and how modern technology is changing the news game. And, as always, we dig into the lighter side of things as well, which means you’ll get the full scoop behind Jay’s hot take on The Dark Knight, his love for apples for energy, and a peek into his top 100 favorite movies of all time. For those who are wondering, unfortunately, Titanic did not make the list.Lastly, thanks for listening. We appreciate your support more than you know, so if you've got a hot second to leave us a positive review about your own experience with the FinalVibe podcast, we’d be extremely grateful.
Lydia and Cody Melton, owners of the beloved European pub and cafe Günter Hans, are some of the most down-to-earth business owners you’ll ever meet. In this episode, you’ll hear all about what makes their local pub so special: the international trip that first piqued Lydia’s interest in authentic European food and drink, their hurried but seemingly serendipitous fundraising experience, and more. As new parents to their beautiful baby boy, Evariste, we’re confident both Lydia and Cody will leave you thinking more deeply about both business and the greater implications of bringing a child into the world. To no surprise, these two embody the FinalVibe mindset across the board, and we couldn’t be more grateful that they were willing to share their insights with us for an evening. We talk European culture, sour beers, how to manage a business in the midst of adversity, parenting during quarantine, current Netflix favorites, how to give yourself the ideal Günter Hans experience, and - perhaps most importantly of all - their own personal considerations of legacy and what it means to lead a life well-lived.If for whatever reason you have not yet spent an evening with friends enjoying their famous biergarten, Kevin and I highly encourage you to stop by Günter Hans at 7 Hitt St in the heart of Columbia, Missouri. And, if you feel so inspired, give us a positive review on your favorite podcast streaming platform. We’d sure appreciate the support.
Jesse Walters, co-owner of Camacho Coffee alongside his wife, Megan, is equal parts renaissance man and Robin Hood. From Boonville, Jesse emulates exactly the type of person you would want to come out of Mid-Missouri with a passion to make the world a better place. He graduated from Columbia College with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and obtained an MBA from William Woods University. He started a coffee roasting company that, since the very first day, has given a portion of sales back to non-profit organizations that make a difference in his town. In fact, he even started roasting coffee to help his wife find a coffee that she was able to drink on a regular basis. His head and his heart are in the right place, and we’re honored to have hosted him for the first FinalVibe podcast interview. We talk business, coffee, cults, books, the current state of affairs (coronavirus) and so much more. You can learn more about Camacho Coffee at https://camachocoffee.com/, and you can find a variety of their blends at most grocery stores in Columbia (you can also find it in the Coffee Stout from Broadway Brewery). If you enjoyed this episode, please leave us a review in your podcast platform of choice. Stay tuned for more episodes.
