This is a special bonus episode. We took a break from the bridges to record a bonus episode with a very historical subject. King Charles III's accession to the throne after his mother's epic 70 year reign made us think about the two previous King Charles'. Let us take you through a quick romp through the two previous Charles', one lost his head and the other had no heirs, despite fathering 13 children! There is, as always, our handy hint and foreign phrase. Come walk with us.
We continue our detour from the London Bridges to head around Battersea Park. We enjoy the beautiful greenery on the edge of the city and take in a game of cricket. We chat about how not to let things you don't know stop you from going for a job you want. Hello everyone. Well we are still in the grips of the Coronavirus and Tishy and I are keeping well we hope you are too. Please make sure you are Staying at Home wherever you can. This episode was recorded 3 weeks ago before the lockdown began, when the world seemed a much safer place! This week we are walking from Southwark Bridge along to the Millennium Bridge and what a fantastic walk it was. The Globe Theatre at one end and St Paul's Cathedral at the other. Our topic this week is one we've spoken about before - Listening to your Inner Voice. If you are feeling unsure about an aspect of your life take a moment (many of us have plenty of those right now) and take stock. What is it you want to achieve? Deep down you know but too often the noise of life gets in the way. Listen to your Inner Voice, that gut feeling or intuition that shows you the right way. You don't always have to act on it but it will give you a clearer view on what is holding you back or making you unhappy. Give it a try! And as always there's our foreign phrase of the week and a very Handy Hint. Stay well and hopefully it won't be too long before we can get back to London and carry on with our tour of the Thames Bridges. Come Walk with us.
Hello everyone. Well, what a crazy world we are living in right now. Tishy and myself hope you are all keeping well and staying at home where you can. Our latest episode saw us take a walk from London Bridge to Southwark Bridge along the Thames path on a lovely sunny day. With the threat of lockdown we recorded it two weeks ago and kept ourselves safe. During our chat we discussed what it was to be an attention seeker and how it can become a bad thing. There's the usual history lesson, handy tip and Useful Foreign Phrase of the Week. We've decided that after Tower Bridge, Southwark is our new favourite! Come walk with us.
