and Why It's so?The first priority in your life excluding god or your faith is You.Sounds foreign to you?In every case, we decide if it is in our self-interests or not… to help or to do.Everyone has different self-interests…Selfless doing is not possible, because we act after our self-interests! I remembered this discussion with my siblings, age 10 years…Most people do not even understand this…, because they are brainwashed.Remember the airplane, they instruct us for an emergency to take first the oxygen on our face and then we can help our kids to do the same things… Otherwise, the lack of oxygen can kill us and so we can't help our kids…And this is also true for our normal life, we can't help if we don't have the resources or the health or power or mood…If we are depleted, tired, or fatigued, we must first care for ourselves to become happy and satisfied… and then we can help…The people who love us need the best version of you and not a frustrated, over-tired guy…So we have to renew our energy/health/spirit to be able to serve…Maybe you think you don't belong to your friends, job, family, or relationship anymore …You need something better...So the longer the time you believe I don't belong anywhere...So the more we train ourselves to remain in this condition, even it doesn't fit us anymore…Imagine a baby elephant is tied with a tiny rope to a tree… Many years later this grown-up elephant still thinks that it can't escape because of this tiny rope… And so it is with ourselves.We can free us so that we can serve much better and enjoy our life…Time is running out, we have to act, to renew our life, don't get stagnant.Instead, we are caring and looking at other people, get distracted, and can't grow to become better in different areas of our lives…Sounds selfish?Don't waste your time with meaningless friends, jobs, relationships…Discover new opportunities.Renew yourself and inspire people to do the same…Imagine you put crabs in a basket and no crab can escape because the other crabs will prevent the crab from escaping..In the end, all crabs will be consumed…We are attached to our past and memories… so the deeper the emotions connected to previous situations so more we value them…But we are not our memories or the assumption that we are…So we have to renew our soul, and spirit with meditation, contemplation, and reflection to get out of the jail that we have built with our memories/emotions…The meanings that we give to our stories hinder us from growing, to achieve something better…My guru said let the past go and don't dwell in the futurelive in the here now…Does that sound better?My Video: How to Put Yourself First? https://youtu.be/7fixKb7JfScMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/How-to-Put-Yourself-First.mp3

How to cut the bullshit Stop the distractions Be there for you Is Your Unhappiness Seeping through? [04:40] It seems evident but looking at your happiness, or lack thereof, is the first indicator of whether you need to make a change or not. And sometimes, you might not even know that you're unhappy. While things might look great on the outside, and you've ticked all the boxes for what a successful happy life looks like, what's underneath is what counts more. When I'd stop all the doing and the busyness, and I would start to come into alignment with my true self, it was like that's where a lot of unhappiness is coming from. Who is Your True Self?[13:00] Your true self is what's underneath everything you've been programmed to believe; it's underneath everything you've been conditioned into thinking you need to do; and it's underneath all the human bullshit. And as you get closer to who your true self is, you get into your power. But that's something only you can do. To take back your power means to live in alignment with your true self. Be Your Own Guru [20:38] While it is beneficial to hear out other people or gurus, what ends up happening is that you replace one set of rules and dogma with another. However, the reality is, no one knows what's best for you more than you do. Once you learn this framework that gets you to where you're your own guru, then you design a life that you love by you, for you. Even coaches and therapists need support of their own and today's guest has become a ripple effect by prioritizing her health and wellness... Today, we have a very special guest with us, Lainie Phelps. Lainie is a therapist, and also a certified life coach. She works with families within inpatient substance abuse treatment. Before she came to us, she cheered in college and ran a mini marathon a few years back and felt great, but then she “let herself go" which is why she came to VGFN. She felt bad all of the time: low energy, tired, unmotivated, and was snacking uncontrollably. She felt like she uses all her energy at work and then crashed at 2/3pm, so she didn't even have energy to hang out with people anymore. She told me “I'm 25 years old but i feel like I'm 50” and was even crying often because of how bad she felt. She had always struggled with being “the bigger girl.” She had lost a lot of weight fast in high school from doing 30 mins of cardio and 1200 calories every day, but she knew it wasn't sustainable. She started working on eating more protein and running more before she came to VGFN, but she wasn't seeing results. She tried some fad diets but they were miserable. She hadn't worked with a coach or accountability partner before, but realized that she needs the help so that's when she reached out to me 2 years ago. Now Lainie is coming on the podcast because she wants to give back to people what she's been given. She said, “Sometimes whenever I go to explain to people what I've experienced through VGFN, it's like they don't always fully understand it. And so I just want to be able to have that space and that opportunity to talk to other people and be like, there is this awesome thing that you can do. And I promise it's like going to be beneficial. I know what it's like to be the prospective client and be very skeptical because the get skinny, quick fixes are everywhere. It's all over TikTok and social media. There's all these new things. And it's so easy to fall victim to that. And so I think just being able to build that connection with women and saying, you don't have to live that way anymore. You know the old saying that you have to put your own oxygen mask on before you help put on anyone else's? It's so hard to apply that once we become mothers. Suddenly we're the last priority on the list, and we're left feeling depleted and unfulfilled. In this episode, I'm sharing the ways I'm prioritizing my own self care so I can show up as the best mom, wife, and business owner possible. Some key takeaways from this episode include: The #1 priority in your life should be you. It might sound taboo to say that anyone comes before your kids or your partner, but if your cup is empty, you can't show up as the best mom possible. As moms, we are conditioned to sacrifice, but we need help and we need to protect our boundaries to care for ourselves. Ask for more help from your partner, and don't feel guilty for doing so.
