Due to COVID-19's spread nationwide, many schools have been forced to move into online learning, with students staying home in quarantine. Most notably, states like New Jersey and New York have been hit the hardest, leading to millions of students not just on the east coast, but nationwide to be quarantined in their homes on shelter-in-place warnings. Many states, even, have set in place laws banning anything more than walks outside, still following CDC guidelines of 6 feet of separation per person.In a continuing discussion on the impacts of COVID-19, we discuss what it's like living in quarantine away from school, the impacts on mental health, and how online learning could impact the education system in the long run. As a result of the spread of COVID-19 (The novel coronavirus), the CollegeBoard has announced sweeping changes to their structure for AP exams. Most notably, AP Exams will now be held online (!) and will be condensed from their traditional 2-3 hour structure to a 45-minute free-response section for most exams, the only exception being exams that use the AP Digital Portfolio like Seminar and Research.
