The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 4: 6:00pm- Early voting in New Jersey began on Saturday, October 25th. According to reports, “unaffiliated” voter turnout is already up—and most polling seems to indicate those voters will prefer Jack Ciattarelli over Mikie Sherrill. 6:20pm- On Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would begin testing nuclear weapons—though, he didn't specify whether the tests will be of nuclear warheads or the missile/delivery systems that carry them. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladmir Putin has announced a new underwater nuclear-capable missile known as Poseidon—which can supposedly generate a tsunami powerful enough to destroy a coastal city. 6:40pm- In the final years of the Biden administration, White House Spokesperson Ian Sams claimed to meet with the President Joe Biden “every single day”—appearing on television regularly to vouch for Biden's cognitive abilities. However, in recent testimony provided to the House Oversight Committee, Sams revealed he only met with Biden “three or four times” in the two years he served in the administration!

Grace Rauh, executive director of government reform group Citizens Union, joined the show to discuss ballot question 6 and whether New York City should move its elections to presidential years. The question is on the 2025 general election ballot, put to city voters to see their preference, but would still require a state constitutional change to actually happen. If city voters approve the measure - placed on the ballot by a Charter Revision Commission - and the state process unfolds (including state legislative passage in two consecutive terms and a statewide ballot referendum being approved), it could be in effect for 2032. Rauh and Citizens Union are in favor of the switch to improve voter participation, but some are worried about local races and issues getting overshadowed by national ones, among other concerns. The one-time shift could also allow the next mayor and other city electeds to hold office for 11 years in sum. (Ep 541)

SEASON 4 EPISODE 29: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: The correct question has been lying there, invisible in the forest, for the trees. It was Mary Trump who finally saw it – and asked it: “Why the hell (do) they KEEP giving him cognitive tests?” That’s IT - isn’t it? THAT'S the question. None of the details, none of the giraffes versus elephants, none of his stupid boastful insults about it, none of the small stuff. It's the big picture. Why the hell DO they keep giving him cognitive tests? And I’ll add a corollary to Mary Trump's burst of simple genius: Why the hell do they KEEP giving him cognitive tests almost exactly six months apart? Friday October 10, 2015 at Walter Reed, which he boasted about on board Air Force One this week. And Friday April 11, 2015, which he had also boasted about on board Air Force One last spring. Those dates are almost six months apart. 182 days. If they’re not giving him pre-scheduled cognitive tests every six months that’s a helluva coincidence. Why the hell do they keep giving him cognitive tests? And I’ll add a second corollary to Mary Trump’s question: why did they give him an MRI? Is it the first MRI to accompany a cognitive test? What was it an MRI of? I mean it may be irrelevant (I once had an MRI to see how my sinuses were draining correctly). You really CAN get MRIs for almost trivial stuff. But you don’t get cognitive tests for trivial stuff. Why the hell do they keep giving him cognitive tests? PLUS: Trump says the Constitution prohibits him from running for president again. Again, mid-flight, after boasting about things that aren't real, he said: “If you read it it’s pretty clear. I’m not allowed to run." So that’s that, huh? That’s what all the experts say. The same experts who said there was no Presidential Immunity. So – what happens next? He just changes his mind? Or decides this term is eight years not four? Or he just cancels the 2028 election? This isn't bluster and it isn't trolling. They might get away with it and they might not, but there are plans. And the more we're convinced they can never pull them off, the more likely we are to see another "presidential immunity" ruling from The Supreme Court. Or another Aileen Cannon. Or another January 6. B-Block (24:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Steve Bannon wants to expel Zohran Mamdani from this country. Hell, we should expel Bannon. If we can find a truck that can carry that much blubber. There's a media writer named Rich Greenfield who has extrapolated from the possibility that Comcast might buy CNN and merge it with MSNBC and he has the exact right person to run it: Charlie Kirk's widow (a bible student). And as ludicrous as that sounds, the guy now running CNN wasn't even home from his visit to the White House to try to butter up Trump and the Trumpists when one of the Trumpists mocked him on twitter for visiting. Today, appeasers not only lose, they get flamed on social media. C-Block (36:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: With the Dodgers in the World Series again it is time to hurry back to the greatest moment in their Los Angeles history: Kirk Gibson's pinch-hit homer even though three-quarters of his body was barely movable, to win Game One of the 1988 World Series and set them on the path to one of the greatest upsets in baseball history, over the vaunted Oakland A's. Gibson's homer was a surprise to everybody. Except me. Because I predicted it just before the first pitch of that final inning began. And there's a WITNESS.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We're just about a week out from Election Day, and I have to say, this is what I live for. These are the kind of stories that really scratch the itch for anybody who loves the game of politics as much as I do. We've got real contests, real dollars behind them, and actual electoral stakes. Yes, I know it's not a presidential year, but this is the sandbox where some serious groundwork gets laid. And for as much as I hate the off-off-year calendar, I love election season more than anything. Here's my breakdown of where I think the chips are going to fall in November.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.Starting in California, we've got Prop 50. Gavin Newsom has staked a big chunk of political capital on this one. It's pitched as a pushback on Republican redistricting, with the messaging ultimately landing on “protecting America from Trump.” What started off messy got refined quickly, and with Newsom's team sticking the landing, I see a 10 to 15 point win. McCarthy was supposed to pour in $100 million to fight it, but as of now, the actual spending is suspiciously light. All that adds up to a clear Democratic win.Now onto Virginia: Winsome Earl Sears vs. Abigail Spanberger. I'm heading up to D.C. this weekend, and originally thought I'd be bouncing around Virginia to catch campaign stops. But Sears? She's nowhere to be found. Spanberger, while not the most electrifying candidate, has managed to avoid major blunders post-Jay Jones scandal. The polling tells a consistent story; Spanberger holding a lead that's grown since the scandal broke. I'm calling it Spanberger by eight. Could be tighter, but it's hard to see Sears overcoming the fundamentals working against her.As for Jay Jones, man, what a collapse. DUI, community service for his own super PAC, and leaked texts about shooting a rival politician? That's how you lose an election. Miyares hasn't trailed since that story broke. Nate Silver might be holding out hope, pointing to early voting and ticket-splitting, but my money's on Miyares by one. A close one, but still a loss for Jones. This scandal made a difference, period.New Yorkers better get ready for Mayor Zohran Mamdani. He hasn't been behind at all in public polling, all while Cuomo is clawing for relevance. Meanwhile, Curtis Sliwa isn't pulling enough Republican support to matter to anyone but Cuomo. The energy just isn't there for a last-minute surprise. Mamdani by 13.And then there's New Jersey. The Mikie Sherrill vs. Jack Ciattarelli race is the sleeper of the night. Sherrill has led for most of the race, but recent polling has things tightening. Trafalgar and Coefficient both show her up by one. Republicans are feeling bullish, and if this ends within three points, they'll have reason to. That would mean New Jersey, at minimum, becomes a fringe battleground in 2028. Not quite Arizona-level swing, but enough to force Democrats to spend real money defending it. I'm predicting Sherrill wins — but just barely.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:03:32 - Election Predictions00:23:08 - Update00:24:53 - Trade Deals00:30:58 - Shutdown00:38:10 - Israel00:44:36 - Interview with Austin Padgett01:38:03 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. In this special episode of Corsi Nation, Dr. Jerome Corsi delivers a major update on his ongoing investigation into U.S. election integrity — including new evidence, state-level database anomalies, and efforts underway to secure fair elections ahead of 2026. Election INtegrituy_otter_aiDr. Corsi reveals how algorithms hidden inside state voter-registration systems may have allowed the creation of duplicate and modified voter records — enabling fraudulent mail-in ballots to be generated in large numbers. Using analysis from researchers working with GodsFiveStones.com, he highlights findings from states like Wisconsin, where up to millions of suspicious duplicate entries were identified.President Donald Trump is now calling for the DOJ to investigate what he calls “the biggest scandal in American history,” and is preparing sweeping reforms that could include:✅ Voter ID✅ Proof of citizenship✅ Paper ballots❌ No mass mail-in voting❌ No early votingThese actions may arrive via an upcoming Executive Order, now being prepared by the Trump White House. Dr. Corsi also explains how:• State-level activists and whistleblowers are sharing evidence with federal investigators• Federal agencies have been reviewing voter-roll irregularities behind the scenes• Dominion systems have been rebranded after major scrutiny• States may face federal intervention or National Guard oversight to ensure lawful elections• 2026 could be a major turning point if fraudulent systems are dismantledWith investigations expanding into ActBlue, possible foreign penetration of voter databases, and the role of intelligence-level code hidden in state systems, the stakes have never been higher. To help us continue this groundbreaking research, visit:

This Wednesday, voters in the Netherlands head to the polls for yet another snap parliamentary election. The vote was called after the collapse of a four-party coalition government led by Geert Wilders' far-right Party for Freedom (PVV). The coalition, which included the liberal-conservative VVD, the agrarian BBB, and the centrist New Social Contract (NSC), lasted less than a year. Wilders withdrew his support in June, claiming the government's migration policies were not strict enough, despite his own party holding the migration portfolio. In one of Europe's most fragmented and polarised democracies, governments fall faster than they form. So, can this vote finally change that?Join us on our journey through the events that shape the European continent and the European Union.Production: By Europod, in co production with Sphera Network.Follow us on:LinkedInInstagram Hosted on Acast. Scotland is heading into one of its most unpredictable elections ever — and the usual rules of politics might not apply. In this episode of Holyrood Sources, Calum Macdonald, Geoff Aberdein (former Chief of Staff to Alex Salmond) and Andy Maciver (former Scottish Conservative comms director) unpack the key trends shaping Scotland right now:.
Rachel Maddow explains that while much of Donald Trump's abuse of power is typical of authoritarians, Trump has a new tool that no authoritarian before him has had: extremely advanced spyware. Trump is already deploying this new weapon through ICE, which intends to use this surveillance technology against immigrants but also against Americans who protest against ICE, and anyone they might snare with an extremely loose definition of "anti-fascist."Rachel Maddow considers reasons why protesting against authoritarians is important, from feeling empowered to ensuring that important rights don't atrophy or get taken away when they're not in use. But another important use for protest is to send a message to the people and entities that would capitulate and become accomplices in the authoritarian's abuses.Marc Elias, attorney and founder of Democracy Docket, talks with Rachel Maddow about the fight he expects Donald Trump to put up as Trump's unpopularity makes a clean election victory less likely. Even as Trump will abuse the power and credibility of the Justice Department to serve his ends, his past bad faith in making bogus election fraud accusations gives his legal opponents an advantage. Everything is about national security. Especially right now. From troops in US streets, to strikes on boats in the Caribbean, to Ukraine and Putin, to Trump's crazy and now regular speeches to military audiences. There's lots of chaos and drama. But the chaos and drama about war and conflict are most important. And it sounds like Trump and Hegseth want more. Former CNN National Security reporter and veteran Pentagon press leader Barbara Starr is a highly-respected and wise legend in journalism. For decades, she's covered the military, Secretaries of Defense and Presidents. She's seen it all. But like Ohatani last night, or the magnitude of Hurricane Melissa slamming into Jamaica right now, nobody's seen the stuff we're seeing now from Trump and Hegseth focused in and around our military. And it may be coming to your city or two next. Barbara returns to break down an America at the tipping point on the latest daily episode of Independent Americans with Paul Rieckhoff (@PaulRieckhoff). They tackle the new threats facing the U.S. military, the politicization of the armed forces, attacks on the Pentagon press corps, lessons from Venezuela, and the importance of defending the Constitution and press freedom amid chaos. Barbara also shares the vital importance of the First Amendment as the constitutional backbone of democracy, and why mentorship, courage, and vigilance are essential for journalists, troops, and citizens alike. Topped with uplifting reflections on Shohei Ohtani's sportsmanship, the lessons of Sandy Kofax, and the enduring strength of the Constitution, this is a must-listen for anyone invested in America's future who wants to stay ahead of the news. And understand what's most important. Because every episode of Independent Americans with Paul Rieckhoff breaks down the most important news stories--and offers light to contrast the heat of other politics and news shows.
