Simplicity, a sense of direction, an occasional pat on the back. All things that us as young adults want at times. Stepping into adulthood is tough, majority of us have no idea what we’re doing or where to look. This podcast is for you, I am you. I unders

In this weeks episode, we sort of reminisce and realize how far we all have come and how this is just the beginning. Adulting is a concept a lot of people are struggling with, it's tough to go from being a kid to all of a sudden having 27 different responsibilities you have to handle as an independent adult. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-a-plus-podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-a-plus-podcast/support
Personally, I've always felt that placing blame on someone else, even if it's justified, is the easy way out. I like to look at things from a different angle, instead of placing blame I like to ask what I could do differently and improve on for the next time I'm in a situation. Not excusing the person doing the wronging, but simply controlling what i can control, which is me and what I learn from my pain and/or shortcomings. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-a-plus-podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-a-plus-podcast/support

Little brothers can be the best, they can be the worst. But at the end of the day they're still a brother and you are seen as a role model to them. Since I was little I noticed my brother, Alijah, pick up on little things that I do whether good or bad. During those times is when I realized it was time to step up and lead because I was being looked up to and took full responsibility of that. He would say that I can be a little mean at times, but honestly I just know his potential and the greatness that he has inside of him. That's why I am so hard on him, that is why my father was so hard on me, and he will be hard on his kids. WELCOME TO THE A+ PODCAST Starting in season 3 we will be adding video forms of the show to YouTube. Told you I had a surprise for you. In this episode Tae joins the show, a big shout out to him for not only taking the time out of his day to do this but also for graduating...during a pandemic. A friend, a brother. Aaron and Dante met at Bowie State University. From before stepping foot on campus in the BSU group chat to being roommates. They built a bond through their talks in their dorm room as roommates and ever since. In this episode they focus on mental health from a mans standpoint and the curses placed upon men from a young age with having emotions or feelings is soon as “soft” and that you're not supposed to have those feelings as a man. In reality that's far from the truth. Having feelings/emotions only makes you human like everyone else on the planet. It is up to us as men to teach our young boys that it's okay to need somebody and to allow yourself to be vulnerable at times. Aaron and Dominique have been through the ringer together. People change, times change, attitudes change, but the one thing that stays the same are the real people in your life. Regardless of what they have been through together or individually, they are always there for one another. That is the sign of real in your life. When you can go from fighting/arguing with a person one day, and the next they are there to be there for you in a time of need. That is where we all have to sit back and take a look at those around you? Do you have one of these types of people in your life? Are you that person to other people's lives? These are questions that we have to ask ourselves. We all need somebody; a friend, a parent, a brother/sister, a pet, anything. So who is going to be that for you?
