In a world where fear, division, and isolation often feel like the norm—what if love became our home? What if, at the center of the universe, there isn't just chaos or power… but a holy relationship? On Trinity Sunday, we explore the image of God revealed through Jesus—one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. A God who invites us out of the house of fear and into the house of love where's a seat at the table for everyone.
In celebration of Father's Day, Shawn, Joey, and Todd gather to discuss some of the great father/son acting tandems. This episode's a regular chip off the ol' block.
On this fathers day we are reminded that we have been called to be imitators of God the father. The title of father indicates the kind of father we are call to be. F is for faithful, we are called to be faithful just like God is faithful to us even when others around us aren't faithful. A is for affectionate we must show unconditional love to those around us the same kind of love we would want to receive from them. T is for teachable as a father you must be teachable by God and other fathers who themselves have learn from God and other before them. H is for honorable as fathers we are call to live honorable, willing to step up, stand up and speak against the evil of this world. E is for example, we are called to be an example for those around us, an example of God to the world around us R is for responsibility, we are responsible for the live we bring into this world to guide them on their road to perfection in becoming imitators of God.

Isaac walks the same ground as Abraham, facing famine, fear, and foreign rulers. God confirms the promise given to Abraham, yet Isaac repeats old sins by misleading others about his wife. Still, the Lord blesses him abundantly. Tensions rise with Abimelech, but a treaty and an altar bring resolution. This chapter reminds us that God's faithfulness is greater than our failures, and that peace and worship often go hand in hand. The Rev. Bruce von Hindenburg, pastor of Catalina Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study Genesis 26. To learn more about Catalina Lutheran, visit www.catalinalutheran.org. Genesis isn't just the start of the Bible; it's the foundation of everything. Creation, sin, judgment, grace, covenant, and promise all take root in this remarkable book. The stories are ancient, but their truths are eternal. In this new series from Thy Strong Word, Pastor Phil Booe and his guests walk verse by verse through Genesis, exploring how God reveals Himself as Creator, Judge, and Redeemer. From the grandeur of the cosmos to the struggles of ordinary families, Genesis introduces us to a God who speaks, acts, and keeps His promises. So, whether you've read it a hundred times or are just now cracking it open for a serious look, this series will help you see Genesis with fresh eyes—and a deeper faith. Thy Strong Word, hosted by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of Luverne, MN, reveals the light of our salvation in Christ through study of God's Word, breaking our darkness with His redeeming light. Each weekday, two pastors fix our eyes on Jesus by considering Holy Scripture, verse by verse, in order to be strengthened in the Word and be equipped to faithfully serve in our daily vocations. There's nothing a son treasures more than the bond with his father, the love, the validation, and that bond can drive a man to extraordinary heights. On Saturday night, we witnessed Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn do exactly that. Driven not just by their own ambitions, but by the legacy of their fathers, and by the love and validation of the British public, they gave us one of the great nights in British boxing. Two men, laying everything on the line. Two men, fighting for more than just victory. And in doing so, both earned something far greater, the admiration and love of the public, after years of chasing it. The shame is, nights like this are rare. Boxing can deliver stories like these again and again… but too often, the sport takes the easy road, chasing quick money rather than building the deep, powerful narratives that make nights like this so special. Tonight, we dive into why Saturday mattered, and what boxing needs to learn from it.
Welcome back to Vulnerability is the New Sexy. I'm your host, Joe Corley — licensed therapist and Black male mental health advocate. Today's episode is deeply personal. We're talking about the presence — and absence — of fathers in the Black community, and how that shapes who we are as men, fathers, and partners. We'll dive into the generational patterns, the healing, and the legacy we're trying to build. I'm joined by some incredible brothers who are here to share their truth.
