Hosted by two young women who were fired for their speech on gender identity, “Identity Crisis” is a podcast about cancel culture, internet drama, feminism, and identity.
In this episode, Sasha and M. K. discuss President Biden's Trans Day of Visibility statement and an epidemic of misinformation about violence against "trans women". 4W on the Epidemic of Misinformation: https://4w.pub/the-epidemic-of-transgender-murder-victims-is-really-an-epidemic-of-misinformation Identity Crisis is now audio-only, so be sure to subscribe to Identity Crisis where ever you listen to your podcasts.
We're back with an all-new season of Identity Crisis! On today's episode, Sasha and M. Aja sits down with me to chat about some recent events in the gender critical world, why she speaks out on this topic, the nature of truth-telling, and whether a cultural shift may be approaching.
Raquel Rosario Sánchez is a writer, campaigner and researcher from the Dominican Republic. She is currently working on her PhD at the University of Bristol in the U.K. Raquel's academic specialism is violence against women, and in 2018, when she chaired a meeting of the organization Woman's Place UK, she began to be targeted by transgender activists on campus.
Isabella is a birth worker, radical feminist and hypnotist. In her very first doula training back in 2016, she was taught that “men can give birth too.” This phrase was her entrance into the world of gender identity ideology, a dogma she is now deeply critical of.
Karen Davis is a musician and music teacher who has become a sensation among the gender critical crowd on Twitter and YouTube. Her blend of music, humor, and outrage has put her in the spotlight recently, in particular with a video called “Black Birthing Bodies. REALLY?” Karen's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYj9...
My guest in this episode is Amy, a fifteen year old girl who writes and speaks publicly about her experience as someone who doesn't subscribe to gender identity ideology. We are in an era where it's practically social suicide in her age group, particularly in the LGBT community, to disagree with ideas like “trans women are women,” or that being same-sex attracted is problematic because it's considered transphobic. Amy is a lesbian and she's faced online threats and harassment just for speaking out about her views on these issues. After following her on Twitter, and seeing her intelligent and insightful comments, I reached out to Amy and asked if she would be willing to speak with me.
This conversation is the first time Sasha and M.K. ever spoke. In this recording from December 2020, Sasha interviews M.K. about her experience being fired and cancelled for her feminist and gender critical views. The two also have a discussion about censorship, radical feminism versus liberal feminism, the left's problem with class and free speech, and more. This is where it all began!

Identity Crisis: Advice for Gender Critical Teens and Twenty-somethings A 4W and Plebity Collaboration featuring M. K. Fain and Sasha White --- Today's teenagers are pressured to agree with all aspects of gender identity ideology, or else risk major social backlash. While some teens take up the mantle with enthusiasm or go along uncritically, a growing number of young people are left with unanswered questions, and at a loss for how to begin to answer them. For trans-identified or detransitioned/detransitioning, lesbian, gay, or bisexual teens, navigating the new gender ideology within their community can be a minefield, fraught with potential social missteps. For any young adult who is critical of or questioning “gender identity”, stepping out of line with the liberal feminist mainstream can feel like a major risk. If you fall into one of these categories, you may feel alone and isolated with no one to turn to for support. “Identity Crisis” is a new weekly column and podcast for young people struggling with the modern orthodoxy of gender identity ideology—developed in collaboration between Plebity and 4W by women who have been there. Whether you have questions about your own understanding of gender and feminism, looking to support a friend, or struggling with fear of getting “cancelled”—Sasha White (Plebity) and M. K. Fain (4W) are teaming up to provide guidance on how to navigate these situations in a healthy and productive way. Sasha and M. K. are both women in their twenties who have experienced extreme pushback on their gender critical views. We were both fired from our unrelated jobs and #cancelled for our online critique of liberal concepts like “nonbinary” identities and “neo-pronouns.”. But, thanks to the backlash, we've also met many young people who reached out to us in search of connection and guidance. We have heard from teenagers and young adults who feel alone, isolated, and utterly lost amidst the pressure to agree with statements like “transwomen are women” in their schools, social groups, and even workplaces. Navigating these situations is hard, and yet so many young people today are faced with the same dilemmas. We have created this space to provide concrete advice, guidance, and support to teens and young adults based on our own experiences. Each week, we will answer one or two of your questions, both as a running column on 4W, and in the form of a video podcast on YouTube. To submit a question, email us at: submit@identitycrisis.xyz. We may publish your question in full, so be sure to leave out or change any identifying details if you would like to remain anonymous. Or specify that your question is private and you would rather we discuss it in a general way. We hope to hear from you soon!
