The "mothership" of American finance is currently weathering a storm of graphic allegations and legal counter-punches. In this episode of Chaos Culture Radio, we break down the high-profile lawsuit filed by former JPMorgan analyst Chirayu Rana against Executive Director Lorna Hajdini. While the initial headlines painted a picture of "sexual slavery" and drugging, new details from the bank and Hajdini's defense team suggest a much more complex story of workplace dynamics and a failed multimillion-dollar exit package. In this episode, we discuss:The "John Doe" Reveal: How the anonymous accuser was identified as 35-year-old Chirayu Rana and why he left his new job just weeks before filing this suit. The Graphic Allegations: Breaking down the claims of "Rohypnol and Viagra" drugging, racial slurs like "Asian fish head," and the alleged coercion that Rana claims turned him into a "sex slave."The "Socially Awkward" Defense: Why colleagues are describing Rana as competent but "socially awkward," while defending Hajdini as a "top performer" with no direct power over Rana's bonus or promotion.JPMorgan's Internal Probe: Why the bank's HR and legal teams found "no merit" to the claims after reviewing emails and phone records, and why Rana reportedly refused to cooperate with the internal investigation. The "Money Move": Analyzing reports that Rana attempted to negotiate a massive exit package in 2025 before taking his claims to the New York County Supreme Court. The First Amendment & Privacy: How a lawsuit filed under a pseudonym went viral and the impact of "Internet Trial" on corporate reputations.Episode Quote: "Lorna categorically denies the allegations... she has never even been to the location where the alleged assault supposedly took place." — Hajdini's Legal Team.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/chaos-culture-radio--3078307/support.Follow Chaos Culture Radio for real conversations that move culture forward.New episodes every week.Share this episode with someone who needs to hear it.

A man pays strangers on the internet to cast magic spells on his wife. He starts with love. He ends with requests for broken bones. He leaves a five-star review. And then — on the same day his wife vanishes — the emails stop completely. This is Episode 2 of the Larry Millete series. In it, we pull apart the most bizarre evidence trail in recent true crime: the spellcaster emails, the subliminal audio devices, the "subliminal wife training" Google searches, the Rohypnol queries, the vitamins Maya stopped taking because they made her drowsy, and the private digital diary where she documented her belief that her husband was poisoning her.Larry Millete has been charged with the first-degree murder of his wife Maya, who disappeared from Chula Vista, California on January 7, 2021. He has pleaded not guilty.Investigators found that Larry spent more than $1,000 across multiple spellcasters over a four-month period. The escalation pattern — from "make her love me" to "make her have an accident" — is what prosecutors call a roadmap. And every step of it was documented in Larry's own emails, on his own computer, using his own accounts. He didn't just leave a trail. He organized it.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Over $1,000 on love spells. Subliminal speakers hidden throughout the house. Internet searches for "subliminal wife training." A phone hidden under the bed playing audio Maya didn't recognize. Google searches for Rohypnol. And a five-star customer review for a spellcaster — written with the same tone you'd use for a decent Thai restaurant. This is Episode 2 of a five-part Hidden Killers series on the Larry Millete case. Maya Millete vanished from Chula Vista on January 7, 2021. Her husband Larry has been charged with her murder and has pleaded not guilty. In this episode, we trace the full arc of Larry's escalating campaign to prevent Maya from leaving — from the first spellcaster email in September 2020 to the final message on January 7, 2021. The progression is staggering: love spells become binding spells become requests for harm. "Maybe an accident or broken bone," he wrote on New Year's Eve. He wanted his wife incapacitated. Not healed. Not helped. Dependent.Meanwhile, Maya was documenting everything in her own way — digital diaries, text messages, confrontations about the hidden devices. She knew what was happening. And Larry, who thought he was fighting for his marriage, was building the prosecution's case one email at a time.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Five years ago, Maya Millete disappeared from her Chula Vista home the same afternoon she called a divorce attorney. Her husband Larry sent his last email to a spell caster two minutes before she drove up. A neighbor's camera caught loud banging sounds from the house that night. She was never seen or heard from again. The case investigators built against Larry Millete is one of the most documented pictures of escalating coercive control in recent memory — and some of the details are genuinely hard to believe until you see the evidence. Over $1,100 paid to spell casters requesting Maya be bound to him forever, then injured, then made dependent, then given cancer. Subliminal audio devices placed throughout the family home. Google searches for Rohypnol and drugs used to incapacitate adults. An alleged blood shrine built to the marriage. A friend who told investigators he had choked Maya unconscious. A police officer who testified he punched through drywall to reach her when she locked herself in a bathroom in fear. The morning after Maya disappeared, Larry drove the family Lexus for over eleven hours with his phone off, asked a neighbor to clean the car, and still — five years later — has never provided a consistent account of where he went. The trial has been delayed again. The latest postponement came January 28th, 2026, two weeks before a start date attorneys described as final. Maya's sister stood in court and told the judge their parents are living day to day, waking up every morning waiting for justice. The judge granted the delay anyway. Trial is now set for May 11th, 2026.Larry Millete has pleaded not guilty. Tony Brueski covers both sides of this case fully and fairly — the prosecution's evidence, the defense's theory, and what five years of courtroom delays looks like when you're the family left waiting.Maya Millete said if anything happens to me, it was Larry. She said it to three people. A jury will decide if she was right.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? On January 7th, 2021, Maya Millete called a divorce attorney, came home to Chula Vista, and was never seen again. Her husband Larry sent his last email to a spell caster two minutes before she drove up. A neighbor's camera recorded loud banging sounds from the house that night. Maya's phone went dark around 1:25 AM. No camera ever captured her leaving. What investigators found when they started pulling this marriage apart is unlike almost anything in recent true crime. Larry Millete allegedly paid over $1,100 to people he believed could cast magic spells — starting with love spells, escalating to requests that Maya be injured, made dependent, given nightmares, or given cancer. He placed subliminal audio devices throughout the house — his internet search history included the phrase "subliminal wife training." He Googled Rohypnol and date rape drugs. He allegedly built a physical shrine to the marriage with what appeared to be red wax or blood. Maya's own diary entries suggested she believed he was poisoning her vitamins. A friend told investigators he had choked her until she passed out. A police officer testified in open court that he once punched through drywall to get to her when she locked herself in the bathroom in fear. The morning after Maya disappeared, Larry drove the family Lexus for over eleven hours with his phone turned off and no alibi that has ever held up under questioning. He later asked a neighbor to detail — clean — the vehicle. Every text between him and Maya had been deleted from his phone.Five years later, Larry Millete still hasn't faced a jury. The latest delay came January 28th, 2026, just two weeks before a trial date attorneys had publicly described as final. Defense attorneys cited personal family losses. Maya's sister Maricris stood in court and begged the judge not to grant it — telling him their aging parents wake up every morning still waiting for justice for their daughter. The judge granted it anyway. Trial is now set for May 11th, 2026.Larry Millete has pleaded not guilty. His defense has argued Maya had her own reasons to disappear — a professional situation that could have cost her everything, and an alleged plan to make Larry look responsible. Tony Brueski gives that theory the fair hearing it deserves. Then he lays out everything the prosecution has spent five years building.Maya Millete told her sister, her brother, and a stranger at a law firm: if anything happens to me, it was Larry. Her parents are still waiting for the trial that will decide if she was right.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Over the next 36 hours, she injected him with heroin multiple times. Despite his deteriorating condition, she delayed seeking help, and when paramedics arrived, it was too late. In episode 271 of The Just Checking In Podcast we checked in with Aaron Pearson. Aaron is the husband of previous guest and Co-Founder of Menstrual Health Project, Gabriella Pearson. Aaron works as an estate planner and as a car salesman and has been with Gabriella for 10 years. Aaron's mental health journey started when he was between seven to 11 or 12-years-old when he was sexually abused and the majority of his mental health difficulties he's experienced in life stem from this moment. Aaron then struggled with alcoholism and drugs from a teenager and also had severe issues with anger, likely stemming from the abuse as well. In Boxing Day 2014, he went away with Gabriella to Brighton to celebrate the day and had his drink spiked by a group of men who offered to buy him a drink. The drink was spiked with a mixture of Rohypnol, ecstasy and rat poison. He had no memory of the night after that moment. When they went back to his hotel, he smashed the room up, high and poisoned. The police were called and he ended up fighting them in his poisoned state and was subsequently arrested and taken to the local police station. Once he was at the police station, he had a seizure and woke up in hospital 12 hours later. He later discovered what he had been spiked with, what had happened and even more alarmingly, he had actually died for four minutes, before being brought back. He woke up in a full body brace, couldn't move his entire body and this was the first time he wasn't in full control of his body or actions. Aaron says this is the moment when his mental health started spiralling. He started speaking to a counsellor and began exploring his anger management issues and his addiction. However, he didn't find counselling helpful and after seeing several therapists, decided to deal with his issues on his own. The alcohol addiction took him to breaking point where it was affecting his friendships, his relationship and people began to avoid social situations with him, because of his unpredictability. He decided to give up drinking for 10 months but then decided he could cope with an occasional drink. As you'd expect, the addiction got even worse. Around the time of the Covid-19 lockdown, he started working from home and had no separation from work and home and became drinking heavily again as well as overeating. Thankfully, he's now over 450 days sober at time of recording, he hasn't touched a drug in over two years. He also hasn't smoked a cigarette in a year and a half. He credits the gym, changing careers and the support of his wife Gabriella as key to his recovery. Since childhood, he has now been diagnosed with a Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) and has self-diagnosed himself with ADHD, after struggling to get assessed through the NHS. Aaron also suspects he has OCD, which we explore. In this episode we chart his journey of trauma, diagnoses and recovery from start to finish and how we better listen to men like Aaron as a society. Particularly, a survivor Jeff Jones, who sustained life threatening injuries after falling off the bridge, just missing the Shoal Creek. The discovery of Rohypnol in his toxicology report fueled speculation about whether he fell or was pushed. Rather than a targeted serial killer, the group posits that what if these men were not the intended victims. What if there is a conspiracy of drink spiking at the bars? What drug groups should be screened for and how do we better instruct the community to be cautious? Some key issues that were grazed: specialty tests are expensive and are rarely administered in drowning cases. If there is a drugging and/or date rape problem in Austin, there is a need for better toxicology screening and better surveillance for 'hot spots', along with participation from the community and the city on creating more awareness and better safeguards.

Many parents face the dilemma of sending their kids to a secular college or university. These institutions claim to be diverse, equitable, and inclusive, and yet they only present one view on the most salient issues of our day. In this episode, Catherine shares her disconcerting experience at her oldest child's college orientation at a state-funded school. At the student orientation, student leader after student leader after student leader shared their name, their major, and their preferred pronouns. No other political references were made. No other religious beliefs were stated. Yet despite claiming a commitment to rigorous intellectual debate and freedom of thought, this school presented only one view on gender. And while insisting on preparing the next generation to live in the “real world,” university faculty and administrators aren't even preparing kids to live in their “real bodies.” When Catherine discussed this blatant progressive evangelism on the part of the university with other Christians at the orientation, parents just shrugged this indoctrination off as being “the way it is.” When “the way it is” is harming children, we have to speak up. To lay the foundation for this conversation, Catherine explores perspectives on preferred pronouns from both Christian and secular sources. She highlights: Rosaria Butterfield, a former radical lesbian activist turned Christian, who  underscores the impact of using preferred pronouns and affirming false ideologies. Preferred pronouns aren't a matter of terminology. They are a matter of ideology. No good can come from affirming a false ideology. The viral cancelled article "Pronouns Are Rohypnol," which sheds light on the perception shifts and safety implications associated with preferred pronouns. The tragic story of Richie Herron, a young man who underwent gender reassignment surgery after being groomed by a gender clinic, who highlights the dangers of promoting gender ideology without recognizing the consequences. These tragic stories begin with a small word—a simple, loving, culturally-approved preferred pronoun. But they end in unfair and unsafe spaces for women and girls, excruciating pain, infertility, butchered bodies, and broken lives. Catherine urges listeners to not remain neutral when it comes to the truth about gender. If our state schools want to claim a standard of diversity, equity, and inclusion, then all views should be represented. They must not claim a DEI standard while practicing uniformity, inequity, and exclusion. The episode culminates with Catherine sharing her open letter to the university, urging them to uphold true diversity by considering all perspectives and challenging the status quo. “A truly valuable education should challenge one's ideology and deeply held convictions, not acquiesce or coddle. Not show favor or bias. Not proudly promote DEI while practicing ideological uniformity, preference, and exclusion. Not embrace bandwagons or reject them without rigorous consideration.” Christian parents must stand firm in their beliefs, resist pressure to conform to harmful ideologies, and speak up. The next generation won't hear the truth about who they are if we don't speak it. Have you ever heard of Rohypnol? In the US, Rohypnol is classified as a Schedule IV controlled substance. It functions as a depressant to the central nervous system. It's not manufactured or approved for sale in the US, but it is shipped here from other countries and used illegally. It's similar to Valium, but ten times more powerful. A common name for it on the street is the “forget-me drug”. A more generic term is “roofie” and it's often referred to as the “date rape drug”. In many cases, Rohypnol is secretly put into the drink of an unsuspecting victim. The effects, including drowsiness and loss of memory, are felt within 15 to 20 minutes, and may continue for up to 12 hours. When it's put into a clear drink, it will change the color of the liquid to blue. The color is often masked by serving tropical drinks that are already blue, or by serving the drink in a dark or opaque container. My guest today, Stephanie, was a victim of having her food or a drink spiked with Rohypnol or something similar. But this didn't happen in a bar or a nightclub – it happened in her own home. And the perpetrator was someone she thought she knew. Content warning: this episode contains graphic language, and includes discussion about sexual violence and abortion.
