January 01 2026 Thursday Who Jesus Made You To Be / Week 07 All The Good Things We Have In Christ Jesus #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word.  That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. WWIII Begins End of 2025 (1) (audio) David Eells, 12/28/25 Allison Pound 7/31/25 (Davids notes in red) The Lord began to speak to me about what He is doing and what is to come: Be not afraid of what I Am doing in the earth dear one. Draw near to Me. Though none go with you, run to Me. Come right up under My Wings. Just as I tell you in My Word. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High Psalm 91 is in play. I have begun to speak to My prophets about this year of 2025. I have only just begun to say what I want to say. If you will sit with Me, I will tell you much, much more. And you will tell the people. This is how I want it. Remain in My Presence. Write all that I tell you. 2030 is a year I have not spoken to you about. But I have to some. I will tell you about 2030. This is just 5 years away from where you are now. I assure you that you will still be here, on earth, in that year. (That time is pointed out because it brings us to the mark of the beast that most think they will rapture before.) Remember, you are still in the labour pains, pre-tribulation. You shall still be here. And beyond a little while. (Past 2030 to the end of the tribulation.) Yes, I know many are expecting to be raptured this year in September. Or any day before or soon after. They are foolish. I have not told them the day or the hour of My return. And I will not. But as time goes on, the wise who have prepared themselves to endure the tribulation will come to know when to expect Me. They will have this knowing in their spirit. It will build to a climactic point. The wise also know at what time of year to expect Me. This is why My feast days are so important. They teach My beloved to watch, to set a watchman. It will be important to know the time and date in the coming days because the moon and the sun will be dimmed at some point. (Because of war, earthquakes, and volcanic activity.)  It will not be easy to tell by simply looking up. Darkness and thick clouds on the Day of the Lord. Remember My word says this. (There is a Day of the Lord at the end of the Brides tribulation just as there is at the end of the Churches tribulation. If you do not know the difference read Song of Soloman and Esther, which are parables.) I will not set aside My Word and come on a day that is not an appointed feast. Why would I do that? I Am the Lord. My Word and I are one. The World War will begin to get into full swing at the end of this year of 2025. (At the end of the brides tribulation and beginning of the Man-childs reign and Churches tribulation.) Christmas in Europe will not be a happy time. I will have the middle to the northeast of Europe out in the streets this Christmas. (Their paranoia is pushed by the left and NATO that Russia is prepared to attack while their DS Kazarians are the ones trying to make this war happen because they think the U.S. will be forced in on their side. Ukraine and Russia are still bombing each other and taking down ships and oil tankers that belong to other nations. Are we not becoming ripe for a WW? It will not be stopped but pray for good to happen, which I will explain.) (This is Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, Ukraine, Belarus, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, and Czechia) (Will it spread? It appears we are at the time of the Man-child ministries anointing. What happens just after that? Rev 6:2  And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon had a bow; and there was given unto him a crown: and he came forth conquering, and to conquer. (This is Jesus in the Man-child reformers, whose prophetic words and actions will conquer the  World.) 3  And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come. 4  And another horse came forth, a red horse: and to him that sat thereon it was given to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. This is a World War. Pray!) Bombs will fall in countries that do not expect war. (Because their DS Kazarian leadership must die; they are a part of Babylon.) No bombs will fall in America. (Because America will not effectually join with NATO to defend their DS Kazarians who will be bundled by the angels as tares to be burned. It is understood that the Europeans and Scandinavians are not our or the Russians enemies; their leadership is.) That (bombing of America) will happen after the WW. (To take down our own bundled tares.) I want you to see the order of things. Something many dont know is that the main forces of the Alliance of Nations headed by Cyrus/Trump are the U.S., Russia, and China. These are held together by NESARA/GESARA dividing up the money taken from the DS Kazarian leadership who rules NATO and its nations. Our old alliance with NATO to defend Europe from the Russians is flimsy at best. Although we dont flaunt it, we have more in common with the Russians, which have also been at war with the DS Kazarians for many years. So, these satanists want a war between U.S. and Russia to take out their strongest enemies. Initially, I dont believe this will happen but later it will.) There has, historically, been an agreement of no bombs (ceasefire), no war on Christmas day, yet this will no longer be the case anymore. (It appeared Russia and Ukraine continued without ceasefire. The Ukrainian Nazis will be conquered by Russia because the people are theirs.) Peace is being taken from the earth. I do not like Christmas. I abhor the practice. I Am making an example of Christmas. This is a purely pagan practice in some of the countries of Europe. I Am targeting these places. I want you to know that there are goat nations and there are sheep nations. I Am causing a separation. Those who want to be sheep will have to leave the goat nations because they will not be safe places for My people to reside. There is going to be a great migration of peoples. The turmoil of this WW will irrevocably affect the whole earth. It will change all the nations. Some nations will not be able to cope or accommodate the people arriving there looking for a safe place to reside. There will be much finger-pointing. (Islaam, as usual, will turn against the nations who are taking them in.) Australia, which has been criticized much for the boat people fiasco, will open its arms and welcome war refugees. But there will be a cut-off point, where leaders will say they can accommodate no more. This will be an overwhelming time for many and it begins at the end of this year of 2025. Safety will be found personally in those who abide in Christs Word. Psa 91:1-16 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust. 3 For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Like the dawn overspreading the mountains a great and strong army appears, such as never was of old, nor will ever be in ages to come. Joel 2:31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. Zephaniah 1:14 The great Day of the LORD is nearnear and coming quickly. Listen, the Day of the LORD! Then the cry of the mighty will be bitter. 15 That day will be a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness.   We are Now in that Season Where Everything Will Change  Alison Pound- 6/11/25 (Davids notes in red) Tuesday 3rd June 2025 This is to be a year like no other. Many things shall come to pass. Most of them judgment events. The World War will begin in earnest. Europe, all of Europe, will be drawn into this war. As I told you, the French President will draw France into the war. Putin will continue his conquest of lands unabated. (In effect he will liberate nations from the satanic DS Kazarian leadership.) This is why all of Europe will be drawn into the war. Then other nations on other continents will come into the war, sending troops etc. By the end of this year, the world will be a very different place. Much will happen in this second half of 2025. (And even more in 2026.) I want you to understand one thing clearly. When war breaks out later this year, this is not the beginning of the great tribulation. I have told you what kicks off the tribulation. I Am not pleased with what some are saying, leading My flock astray on this matter. Especially those saying the tribulation is behind us. The foolishness I Am seeing in My people is to be stopped. It will be stopped when they are dropped right into the middle of tribulation events. Monday 9th June 2025 Remember what I told you those things you have been awaiting to come to pass, time is speeding up. You will not be waiting long, as you waited 10 years ago. I will speak to you now and say it is time. And it will come to pass. Perhaps in the very day I tell you that it is time. Or it will be weeks, of 7 days rather than months and years. There is no time for months and years now , I will no longer allow matters to resolve over lengthy time spans. I Am bringing all things quickly to pass, quickly to a head. My judgments are in the earth now. This is the time of the end. All things come to pass. In a short span of time, they come to pass. This is why I say to you, do not be afraid. Because you are going to see some things come to pass very shortly. We are there. It is time. Tuesday 10th June 2025 Today is the day. I have spoken and it shall come to pass. This is how it shall be in these days at the end of all things. I will speak to My prophets, My true obedient prophets and say today is the day, and when they speak My words out, they shall come to pass instantly, on that very day when I say today is the day. I have told My prophets that everything is about to change. I have been telling them this, I have been telling you this, dear one, for many months, even many years. We are now in that season, at the end of all time, when everything will change. The landscape, the people, everything. We go from peace to war, from quiet streets to riots in the streets. In America, this will not be in LA only, but riots will be started, they will be organized in many of the cities across America. (This is being fomented by the DS Kazarians.)  This is just the beginning of the riots. Remember, civil war will break out. This is just the beginning. All of the above is taken directly from my journal. These are Gods words, written down as He spoke them to me. Leave your own desires and personal beliefs outside. They will block you from hearing His voice. Confess your sins. Repent. You will not hear from the Lord if you do not. There is a right way and a wrong way to approach the Throne of Grace. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.   War Has Begun Alison Pound - Australia -6/25/25 (Davids notes in red) While I was preparing to publish this, the Lord reminded me of that time when I began hearing military march tunes in my head. It went on for days until Anzac Day, 25th April 2019, when I finally asked the Lord about it: He said: Get ready, America, for war! Get ready to hear military marches, to see military parades, for shows of strength and power from your nation. Prepare to see posturing of such a magnitude you will almost laugh if it were not so very terrifying. For America goes to war. But I Am not with her. I am not with this nation. I have shut the book on this place. For Babylon is fallen. (She is both secular and religious and both are fallen.) She has become the place of crying wolves. Desolation, desolation is upon her. Weep and wail and mourn, you who know what is coming. Anzac Day specifically commemorates the anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli in 1915 during World War I.    WAR HAS BEGUN Monday 23rd June 2025 I woke to news headlines this morning: Donald Trump says Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire. (It happened) Apparently, the bombing Mr. Trump ordered his air force to carry out has brought about peace! He promotes himself as a peacemaker. He says!, God bless Iran, Israel, America, and the whole world. Which is NOT AT ALL WHAT THE LORD SAID to me when He woke me in the night! While you have slept, in that short time, much has happened. The Straight of Hormuz has been closed. More bombs have been dropped. War has begun. The war that will take the whole earth to war has begun. These are the final days before I return. Nothing will ever be the same again. But do not think that this is The Tribulation! We are not quite there yet. First, this war between Israel and Iran. (It happened) And now America. Then more nations will come in. Egypt will come out in support of Iran. Britain will come out in support of Israel. And so it will grow. The nations will pick sides. Things will heat up in the Ukraine also. Remember I told you that France will be pulled into the war by their President. And then there is America. America, the brave. With their oh so brave and bold leader. He has put his nation to war and painted a target on himself and the nation. You will not have long to wait, to see My Words fulfilled. Because time is so very short now. Much, much will happen this second half of the year. And there will be cities that are not recognizable, bombed into oblivion. Yes, I speak of Tel Aviv and Tehran. (This happened) And then will come the shot to the head. (This happened) Keep watching dear one. Australia will send troops to war at the end of this year. Britain, the US and France also. There will be patrolling of your coastlines and you will hear more from your air base here. Not test flights anymore but surveillance. Tuesday 24th June 2025 I Am the Lord your God. There is none beside Me. My Son shed His blood for all mankind. He paid the debt of sin. That heavy weight which was upon the whole earth. And still, mankind rejects My offer of Salvation. War! The drums of war are sounding. Mankind wants to wage war. There is hatred and distrust. There is pride and arrogance. There is fear. And all manner of wickedness at work. The hour is late. I Am coming to make recompense. Before I come, the world will go to war. The cup of iniquity must be filled before I can come and make recompense. Because it is written. And all of My Word shall/must be fulfilled. And so, the season you are entering is the season of war. The red horse has ridden across the earth. Peace has been taken from the earth. Whatever nations that have been at peace will no longer feel at peace. All nations will be on alert. People who never had to watch their back before will be watching their back. The news reports and all media will be full of war talk, speculations, fear mongering, false reports. War will dominate the headlines. And very shortly, all eyes will be on America. The eyes of the Arab world, the muslim world, the eyes of Russia, of China. Canada will be watching. Germany will be watching. The Governments of the nations will be paying special attention to America, to their claims, and to their actions. In the end, no one will come to her aid. And she will desperately need aid. In the time to come, America will be under attack from within and from without. And none will come to her aid. Revelation 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. NOTE: When God speaks, He will say a thing is done. Whilst we may see nothing happening, when God speaks, it IS done, it has happened. Because God lives outside of time, He sees the end from the beginning. We must wait for His Words to manifest here on the earth. Some of you may say the Straight of Hormuz is not closed, that there is an agreement to a ceasefire. But wait, watch. If God says that War has begun, it surely has. Watch, wait and pray. Put all fear of man out! Pray for your families and loved ones that their eyes be opened to see Gods purposes and get in line with Him. His ways are higher than man's. Draw nearer to the Throne of Grace.   The Drums of War and the Decline of Nations  Alison Pound 12/14/25 (Davids notes in red) Babylon will fall. I Am the Lord. This is the time of the end. It is time for Babylon to fall. The earth will wage war. War will erupt, like a volcano erupting. What is happening now is nothing compared to what will shortly happen upon this earth. I have told you that Mr. Putin will not stop his incursion. He will advance. He will cross into other countries. And I will allow him. I Am giving him favour to conquer. For a short while. I understand that this is distressing. But these are My Ways. My purposes. The enemy is under My control. I can snuff him out in a moment, in a milli second. But My purposes, My ways are not your ways. Everything written in My Word shall come to pass. There is a time for everything, every season under heaven. And there is a reason for everything to exist, to be born, to die. All of this is not for nothing. Britain will decline. She will continue to decline until she is no more. Prince Charles, who became King Charles, he will be gone. His son William will not reign, but rather he will decline along with Britain. This is the nation that gave birth to America. Her wickedness is known. She will fizzle out. Like a candle, the wick has burned down and is ready to snuff out. Time is up for Britain. She who birthed America will watch her die and be snuffed out herself. The House of Windsor is finished. The Royal line is finished. I Am finishing it. (They were a root of the DS Kazarian empire.) The succession of wickedness , the flow of wealth, I Am finishing it all. I Am exposing all that they are. These people are the filthy scum of the earth. Andrew (former Prince) is only the beginning. Bosnia Herzegovina will not survive as a nation. War, war is coming. The earth will be overtaken by war. Christmas this year of 2025 will be a very uncertain time across the whole earth. Putin will cross into Poland. (It happened by air) I have told you. He will not stop. Poland is next. Peace will not reign in Israel. Gaza will not be at peace. Trump, the peacemaker, will be exposed. He is a liar. (Lies will be told concerning the true nature and allies of this war. His plan to make peace for Gaza will not come to pass.) He is like his father. (So, are we all until we are born of God? Cyrus, like Trump, wasnt a Jew or Christian. But God used both of these men to deliver the people from the Babylonian beast.) Before the year is out, the drums of war will be heard. They will be louder. And who will come to the aid of those countries being threatened by Putin and Russia, the mighty bear? Certainly not Britain. She is in decline. It will not be like WWII. The United Nations is not really united. The NWO is coming down. (through this war) The plan was laid out long ago. The system of the beast. (And believe it or not; each beast is succeeded by the next beast. Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past. For behold, the Lord comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will also disclose her blood and will no more cover her slain. (From the same text we see: Isa 26:10  Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah.)  Over the past two months, the Lord has instructed our group to get tucked away and to brace ourselves in the Word and in the presence of the Holy Spirit, increasing our time praying in the Holy Ghost. As Jude 20 says: But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. The Lord gave me a night vision that connected with a dream I had years earlier. I will first share the recent vision. I was in an earthquake that would not stop shaking. This was in Los Angeles, California. The people I saw anxiously waited with anticipation for the shaking to stop, but it did not. It continued for an extended period of time. The people were terrifiedshaken to their core. (I believe the plate/craton in the U.S. is sliding towards the west coast, and faster with the breaking of the New Madrid, which we were shown would be the time of the Man-child bodies anointing. A confirmation.) It was as though I could see different individuals in various parts of the city. Each person appeared to be wondering what was happening, what to do, and when it would stop. Their faces seemed to be silently asking, What is going on? After some time, everyone came to the same conclusion: evacuate as quickly as possible. At that point, the vision transitioned into a portion of an earlier dream, which I will now share. My family and I were having a reunion. We were sitting in lawn chairs on a golf course. It was lush, green, and beautifulvery vibranton a sunny day. We were talking, and the children were playing. Suddenly, we heard a loud noise. A vehicle crashed about 25 feet away from us. We all noticed it, then returned to our conversations and relaxed again. A short time later, it happened againthis time, a truck. It landed closer, about 15 feet away. We looked at it, wondering what was going on, but again we sat back down and continued talking. Then it happened a third time. This time it was a race car, red in color. It flew in the same way but came extremely closewithin a foot or two of where we were sitting. Everyone scrambled in alarm. The next scene I saw, which the Lord connected in this vision, was a U-Haul truck. All of us were throwing clothes, belongings, and whatever we could into it as fast as possible in order to move out. That was how the vision ended, and then I woke up. This prophetic dream is a follow-up to the Lords judgments against California for its continued, flagrant, and abominable sins that have reached to the heavens. Prophets around the world were given numerous messages concerning earthquakes in California. In recent weeks, even secular media have begun warning residents of the West Coastbut not with urgency or a call to evacuate. Rather, it has been presented in a casual, nonchalant, and inconsequential manner. I have personally experienced several earthquakes in my life, and this vision was especially heart-stopping because the shaking never stopped. Anyone who has been in an earthquake knows that it usually lasts seconds to a minute or so, and you wait for the ground to stop shaking so life can return to normal. During those moments, people often feel frozenlike a deer in headlightsmotionless and dumbfounded. That is exactly how the people appeared in this vision. At another time, the Lord gave me a message for a resident of California. I will read portions of what was given: Thus says the Lord: The hour is latevery late indeed. I want your yes without hesitation, regardless of who goes with you. I am judging the nation of California, a Sodom nation. There are no two ways about it. One cannot serve two masters. He will either love the one and hate the other, or love the other and hate the first. Time is very short. I have given this vessel a set period of time for her family to extract themselves from California. It is only a short distance away, but I know I am asking for everythingyour entire life. I mean what I say. Move away from California. She is doomed, and I want you to win. Hurry. It is God alone. As I was concluding this correspondence, the Lord instructed me further: there must be repentance. Those who wish to come must leave sinful lifestyles behind and depart from California. God is a good Father. Many earthly fathers have gone missing, but people often do not want God the way He truly isprotective, corrective, and authoritatively loving. God receives much criticism, yet many people desire Santa Claus rather than Jesus Christ as Savior. God will be vindicated in His judgments when all the books are opened. Psalm 19:9 says: The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. It is the Lords mercy to warn, to wait, and to hold back correction, giving opportunity to repent. Ezekiel 33:11 tells us that the Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. However, to everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. This prophetic dream is titled Unstoppable. Once again: Come, my people, enter your chambers and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a little moment until the indignation is passed. Get into the ark of safetyJesus Christand away from the West Coast. The Lord has a controversy with the nation of California. May the Lord bless you.   Great Quake & Tsunami Shirley Hinkle - 9/1/2006 (David's notes in red) Word given on 9/1/2006 - Do You Trust Me? It's with a heavy heart that I write this. God has spoken into my heart again that the day is coming very quickly of a massive earthquake that will cause a great, massive tsunami. There is going to be massive destruction; no place to bury the dead. He said to me again, It's Time! Out of death will come resurrection life! (Resurrection life as a revival comes, more or less, after every catastrophe like this.) We will be surrounded by death and destruction, but it will not come nigh unto us if we dwell in the secret place. Great fear will come, overwhelming even the strongest, but with this God will pour out His peace and His perfect love will come and cast out all fear. He has set us apart to be His voice in the last days. Those who have been obedient to come out from among them and be ye separate. When the flood of destruction comes, remember the words I have spoken in Isaiah 54. (This chapter emphasizes endurance in trial, protection and perfection.) A massive flood will sweep over the land and as in the natural so shall it be in the spiritual, I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh! (This also came at the beginning and end of the Gospels. An outpouring of the Former Rain came to the Man-child, Jesus, at the beginning and to the saints at the end, symbolizing the Latter Rain coming before on the first-fruits and after the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation.) The judgment on this state, this nation, is to redeem fallen man, the backslidden church. It is to awake, stir, shake, and change His people! It is the end of all things as you know it; all shall be new. Even though you are reading the last chapters and the end of the book, it is really just the beginning. For I am the Beginning and the End... (Notice once again the Beginning and End are emphasized. He will come as the Latter Rain in the beginning to anoint the man-child ministry and at the end of 3 1/2 years to anoint those raised up by them. He will come after two days or 2000 years, on the morning of the third day or third thousand years. Hos 6:2 After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before him. 3 And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is sure as the morning; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth. He will begin the last 3 1/2 years with the mark of the Beast to separate the righteous from the wicked, the Latter Rain outpouring and judgment.) There is no time to eternity... Wow, what a thought. His Name will be glorified again. His Word will become flesh again through His Repentant Church! God will be Glorified! He is a Father to the fatherless, so when you can't reach out to man in this time, remember to call upon your Heavenly Father, and He will be an ever-present help in the time of trouble. As with Jesus when he was raised from the dead, the angel rolled the stone away and there was a great earthquake... again God is going to roll away the stone of death in the church, with an earthquake and resurrection life will come forth. Mat 28:2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. The Church, the True, Repentant, will Stand in these final days. We are to remain in the city... (of God) We are going to be endowed with power from on high. We are not going to run away in fear but STAND and be a witness to this final generation, in this final hour. It's Time, and the question He is asking all of us in this hour is... DO YOU TRUST ME?   Earthquakes and Gods Mercy David Eells We have shared warnings of Gods judgments we received from the Lord about earthquakes and other disasters. Because God is merciful and has heard the prayers and intercession for mankind, He is going to lessen the severity of the earthquakes and tsunamis that we know are still coming.   Huge Quakes Bring Man-child I believe there will begin a domino effect of earthquakes that travels across the U.S. and the world. Now we will look at the U.S. portion. I believe the DS has prepared the groundwork for this domino effect of quakes by fracking, tunneling and explosions, HARP, Military Tectonic Weapons, etc., under the U.S.. I believe we have learned that the Lord will use what they have done to make them guilty but He controls how and when and he will lessen the effects of the revelations given below. Half of the scientists were arguing, We should not do that because we don't know what the ramifications of that are, nor do we know what chain reactions will take place. In the dream, I didn't know what that was referring to. The other half of the scientists begin arguing that they do know the outcome of that, as they have calculations and results from the previous times they have done it. One man from the group speaking against it interjected loudly with, Not of this magnitude. (Magnitude, of course, speaks of earthquakes. I received this about a witness with a video showing the Gulf waters receding as far out as you could see out of Tampa Bay and Coral Bay and other areas for over 12 hours. (This is proof that God can do this. This was seen in areas of the world where there wasnt a hurricane, too, like it was at the Red Sea.) - HURRICANE IAN UPDATE - NO WATER AT THE COAST IN THE GULF OF MEXICO We will notice that the great shaking is accompanied by the coming of Jesus in the Man-child and the change of fortunes from the Egyptians for God's people as they go into the wilderness tribulation. To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word.  That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. Years before Charity Beallis and her six-year-old twins were found shot to death in their Arkansas home, her own father told police she confessed to murder. According to a police report, Randy Powell said his daughter admitted she "is the one who shot Shawna" — Shawna Beallis, the previous wife of Dr. Randall Beallis. Charity allegedly told her father she was relieved detectives never fingerprinted a wine glass she'd been drinking from at the scene. That wine glass was documented. It was never tested. Shawna's death was ruled a suicide in 2012. The evidence was destroyed. And the woman who allegedly confessed went on to marry the widower. Now she's dead too — found December 3rd, 2025, alongside her children, one day after a court awarded her convicted abuser joint custody. they'd be like, "Here we go on our Saturn ball, our Saturnball, our Saturn ball."And that really hurt my feelings.So the Saturn ball got thrown into a closet and it's probably still there until today.But look, I know we've had this conversation before.But there's just some things you can't go generic, right?Like ketchup.Altars.Oreos.The generic's not the same.Don't try to tell me that it is because you're just lying to yourself.But nothing has been made more generic than God.We live in a culture that is okay with the generic concept of God.But when you get specific, people get squirrely about that.You're like, when people say, "God bless America.""God bless America."You know, you can ask, "Well, which God?"Do you mean the God of the Bible, the one who created us, the one who judges sin, theone who commands us to repent and believe, the one who calls us to live our lives accordingto his wisdom?And it's like, oh no, not that God.But we're just okay with the generic concept.But you see, the problem with that line of thinking is God isn't a generic concept.In fact, God's not a concept at all.God is a person.God is a specific person.And as we enter into the Christmas season, you know, we know the Christmas story fromMatthew and from Luke, right?We know that version of the Christmas story well with the census, and Bethlehem and Maryand Joseph and angels and shepherds and manger and the star and the magi.Right?Well, Matthew and Luke sort of tell the story of the incarnation like looking over people'sshoulders, right?But we're going to be looking at the Gospel of John because his Christmas story is a littledifferent.In John's Christmas story, we are looking over God's shoulder.That's really the theme of the whole book of John.And we studied this some years back.But the theme of John is this, "The God of the universe has revealed himself by cominginto this world as a man to not just save you, but to have a relationship with you."That God wants you to know Him.In fact, this is what Jesus Christ was praying.John 17.3, Jesus said, "And this is eternal life that they may know you."The only true God in Jesus Christ, whom you have sent, eternal life.Nothing's more important than eternal life because you are either going to live foreverwith God or you're going to die forever apart from God.So what do you want for Christmas?The top of your list should be eternal life.And according to Jesus, that comes from knowing Him, from knowing God.And I do have to remind you that knowing about God is not the same as actually knowing God.You realize those are two completely different concepts.Knowing about God and knowing God.Not the same.Think of it this way.Imagine a young man comes to church, a single man.And he's been coming here for a while when all of a sudden one day he notices there isa beautiful young single woman.And he's like, "I don't think I met her, but who is that?"But he gets his friend.He's like, "He found out who that girl is."And his friend comes back with the information.And he says, "Oh, you asked about that girl.Here's what I know.She loves missions."She loves working with children.She enjoys traveling.And get this, she's a big Steelers fan.But she also loves rom-coms.Now if this friend goes back to the dude and gives this report on what this woman is like,do you think this man would be like, "All right, now that I have the information abouther, I am satisfied.Thank you.That is all."Is that the end of the story?No, you see, now that he knows about her, that makes him all the more want to know herpersonally.You see, that's how it is with God.That's how it is with Jesus Christ.The more you know about Him, the more you want to know Him personally.The fact should lead you to the relationship.How do I know God personally?Well John 1.18 tells us that no one has ever seen God, the only God who has at the Father'sside.He has made Him known.And folks, this is a fundamental truth.That the only way that we can know God is He has to make Himself known.And that's what we celebrate every Christmas that God has made Himself known because Hedid it in the most personal way possible.He showed up and introduced Himself.So look at John 1.Picking up in verse 1.We're just going to get the first three verses today.This might feel more like a Bible study than a sermon.But these are important truths that we're going to wrestle down here.John 1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word wasGod.He was in the beginning with God.All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made."Notice that John in introducing our Lord, He's using this word, "Word" a lot.Why does He use the word "Word"?Well He doesn't really explain that.But I promise you that the audience that He wrote to in the first century would have knownexactly what He was talking about.Because John primarily would have been writing to the Greeks and the Jews.The word "Word" in the Greek is "Logos."And to the Greeks, the Logos was like this impersonal force, this impersonal energy source.Because the Greek philosophers were like, "Look, all of this had to come from somewhere.The world didn't happen by accident.There has to be some force out there that's behind the structure of the earth.All logic and reason."They had this idea, it was an impersonal force, and they called it the Word, the Logos.So John is writing to the Greeks, and he goes, "Hey, you guys talk about the Logos, right?Did you know the Logos is a person?"It's not a thing, it's a person.It's a person that was with God.It's a person that was God, and it's a person according to John 1.14 that became fleshand dwelt among us.So that's how the Greeks would have heard this.Do you know how the Jews would have heard this?And we probably don't have to guess, right?When the Jews would have heard the Word Word, what would they have thought of?They immediately would have thought of the Law and the Prophets, what we call the OldTestament.You see, you go through the Old Testament over and over and over.The Word of the Lord came too.The Word of the Lord came too.The Word of the Lord came too.And all of the Law and the Prophets, it's known as the Word of God.So the Jews would have picked up on this concept immediately.You know what the purpose of words is?Words are to communicate something.Words are to be deliberately chosen and used to convey information to another person.That's what John's saying to the Jews.The Word became flesh.Jesus Christ is God's communication to man.A living, breathing Word.So God isn't some impersonal force.God's not a generic concept.According to God's Word, He is a person.And He has revealed who exactly He is in Jesus Christ.Let's just pause for a second and ask that you would pray for me as we do this littlestudy together that I would accurately represent God's Word.Let me pray for you to have a heart open to receive this absolutely essential truth thatGod is teaching us today.So let's pray.Father in heaven, we live in a culture that is fine to think of you in general terms.But to call you a person, a father, the sovereign of the universe, it's tough for some peopleto grasp.And I just pray Father today, especially over these next few minutes, that we would reallyhave our hearts and minds open to what it is that your Word wants to teach us aboutthe way that you've revealed yourself through your Son.It's in Jesus' name that we pray.Amen.So on your outline, I want you to write some things down.I want to know God.Here's where it starts.Number one, the reality.This is the reality.Jesus is God.Let's look at these verses here.Look at verse one again.He says, "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God."In the beginning.Is that something familiar at all?That phrase, "In the beginning."Where have we heard that?Genesis 1-1, right?That's how the whole Bible starts.And John is starting in the same place.John is saying, by saying in the beginning, John is saying, "Before anything was created,the Word existed."The Word.And notice he says two things about the Word.First of all, the Word was with God.And secondly, the Word was God.First of all, let's talk about the Word was God.This claim is nothing less than Jesus Christ is Almighty God.This is all through the New Testament.If we were to just do a Bible study today looking at the verses of the New Testamentto talk about Jesus being God, we would be here long after the snow melted.But the New Testament is so full of this truth.For example, Colossians 2-9 says, "For in Him, in Jesus, the whole fullness of Deitydwells bodily."Most concise statement of Jesus' Deity is probably right here in John 1-14.It says, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, gloryas of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."The Word became flesh and dwelt.That Word dwelt in the Greek is the word tabernacled.The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us.You heard the tabernacle?In the Old Testament, it was this portable structure that as Moses was leading the Israelitesout of Egypt, God told Moses to build this structure and it had this tent with the HolyPlace and the Holy of Holies.And this was the place where God's unique presence dwelt among His people.So when John says, "The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us," you know, if youwere in the Old Testament times, if you lived with Old Testament Israel and somebody said,"Hey, can you point to the place where God's unique presence lives on the earth?"You would point to the building, the tabernacle.You would say, "Yeah, God's unique presence on earth is right there."Fast forward to 2025 right now.If I were to say, "Can you point to the place where God's unique presence dwells on earth?"Where would you point?It's right here, right?Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.The temple was just the permanent version of the tabernacle.This is where God lives.This is God's unique presence here.So what John is saying in John 1.14 is for about 33 years of earth's history, when youwould ask, "Where is God's unique presence on the earth?"You'd point to a man.That man's name is Jesus Christ.You would point to him and say, "Right there.That man is the unique presence of God on the earth.This is where he is."All right?Jesus is not an exalted angel.Jesus is not some special enlightened human.According to this verse, Jesus is the God.And every false religion denies this, by the way.And I can just tell you personally, you would be shocked at how many times I've had to havethis conversation with people over the course of my ministry, that people who actually say,Jesus never said He was God.You heard that argument?Jesus never said it.What the argument is this, that's something the church kind of came up with.We kind of, like some religions like us, we sort of hitched that idea onto Jesus.Did Jesus Himself, they say, "Oh, if you study the words of Jesus, He never said He was God."Well, do you remember back in Exodus chapter 3, God called Moses through the burning bush.You know, you're going to lead my people out of Egypt.You're going to lead them to the promised land.Do you remember Moses says to God, "Well, what if Israel asks who sent me?"What if Israel is like, "What is His name?"Do you remember in that moment, God told Moses what His name is?You remember?God told Moses His name is, "I am who I am."That's God's name.His name is, "I am."I love that.God didn't say to Moses, "My name is I was."Like Moses, like what's your name?And God's like, "Moses, I was.Oh Moses, you should have seen me back in high school.Oh Moses, I was so good looking and I was such a good athlete.Back in the day Moses, back in the day I was really something.No, he's not the I was.But nor did God tell Moses that he's the I will be."Right?Like Moses is like, "What's your name?"And God's like, "Well Moses, you tell the Israelites, I might not be nothing specialnow but I'm taking my vitamins and I'm drinking my milk and I'm doing my palates and I'm jumpingon my pogo ball and someday, someday I'm going to be something great.I will be."God's not the I was and he's not the I will be.God is, "He is I am."From eternity past, He is infinite, majestic holiness.He is the I am.And in eternity future, He will still be infinite, majestic holiness.He is the I am.You're like, "Well what does that have to do with Jesus?"Because Jesus repeatedly claimed that He is the I am.It's all through the gospel of John, what, like seven times.I am the bread of life.I am the light of the world.I am the way and the truth and the life.I am the good shepherd.I am the door.All through Jesus made this claim.John chapter 8, Jesus said before Abraham was, "I am."John chapter 10, Jesus said, "I and the Father are one."And in that moment the Jews picked up stones, they were going to kill them for saying that.Jesus says, "I did a lot of good works for which of them are you going to stone me?"And they said, "Oh no, you're making yourself out to be God the way you're talking."And you see, they knew exactly what He was saying.They knew exactly what He meant when He said, "I and the Father are one."Oh, and by the way, not only does the Bible say that Jesus is God, did you know that the Bible also says that God is Jesus?Here's what I mean.Look at Zechariah 12/10.This is before the incarnation, the Christmas story.This is before the baby in the manger story.This is Old Testament.Look at what God says.God says, "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, a spirit of grace and please, for mercy, so that when they look on Me on Him whom they have pierced."Do you see how God identifies Himself?He identifies Himself as the one who was pierced and who was the one that was pierced.It's Jesus Christ on the cross.Do you see that?Do a little word study there.That's exactly what He's saying.They will look on the one whom they've stabbed.Right?It's also in the New Testament.God is Jesus.Look at Acts 20, for example.Paul says, "The Ephesians elders pay careful attention to yourselves to care for the church of God, which He obtained with His own blood."Who bought the church with His blood?He says God.You're like, "I thought it was Jesus that shed His blood."Well, Paul's saying that as Jesus shed His blood, that was God obtaining the church with His own blood.So Jesus is God, yes, and the Bible also says that God is Jesus.The word was God, but the Bible also says here that the word was with God.The word was with God.And in case you missed it, in case you didn't quite catch it in verse 1, verse 2, he just says the exact same thing.He was in the beginning with God.So somehow, Jesus is God, but being with God, somehow He is distinct from the Father.Like if I said to you yesterday, I was with my buddy Nathaniel, and I was my buddy Nathaniel.You would say, "Were you and Nathaniel smoking something? Like what was going on there?"That doesn't make sense, does it?How can you be with somebody and be somebody at the same time?But that's exactly what the Bible says about Jesus and His relationship with God.He's not only God, but He's also with God.And people want that explained all the time.Pastor Taylor had a couple of weeks ago, the little children back there had a Q&A thing with him.And one of the questions they were asking about, the trinity.And look, do you want to know about the trinity? Here's the reality.Nobody can figure that out. That's the truth.You can't do it.Because from the moment you were born, you've only ever known two things in your life.Your whole life, you've only ever known two things.And that's time and space.You can't fathom an existence outside of time and space.This is where we are.And now we have a God who lives and exists in rules outside of time and space.God is not bound by time and space.And somehow we think that we're going to be able to explain everything about Him.Here's what I know.The Word was with God and the Word was God.The Bible says God exists.He's one God, but He exists as three persons.Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Jesus is eternal, but distinct.And you don't have to explain it to believe it.I can't explain to you how my car works, but I believe that it does when I get in and drive it.Look at verse 3.He says, "All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made."Okay, this is just theology 101. It's all through the Old Testament.God is Creator.And John here is saying Jesus is God, He's with God.And then John takes another step and says, "Jesus is Creator. He made all things."And somehow, again, the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all involved in creation at the same time.You're like, "Can you explain that?"I just told you I could not explain that.But somehow God, the Father created through God the Son, and the Genesis tells us that the Spirit of God hovered above the waters.All three members of the Trinity were involved.And somehow Jesus is the agent of creation.The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 1 and verse 2 that in these last days, God has spoken to us by His Son,whom He appointed the heir of all things through whom also He created the world.Through whom He created the world.That's all John's saying here in verse 3."Every living thing gets life from something else.A tree, a dog, a woodpecker, you. You got life from something else.The only person who has never received life from someone else is God Himself."That's what John's saying, since Jesus already existed before creation,and because Jesus didn't get His life from something else, then He must be God.Those are the biblical facts about Jesus.And listen, even if you're sitting here today or listening to the podcast later or whatever,even if you don't agree with that, can we take an honest look at what the Bible says and stop trying to twist it?Oh, it doesn't really say that.The Bible overwhelmingly says that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh.That's the truth that you have to reckon with.He is God.So if you want to know God, number two, the response.The response. You want to know God? The response is faith in Jesus.The reality is Jesus is God. The response is we have to have faith in Jesus.You see, God took the initiative.God did His part in revealing Himself as Jesus, so the question is, what's my part in knowing Him?It's faith.Faith is the only way to know God.Oh, and speaking of generic,not only do people use the name of God in a generic sense,but you'll find that people use the concept of faith in a generic sense.There is a true biblical sense and definition of faith,but we live in a culture that just throws that word faith around all the time and uses it in all kinds of ways.Here's what I mean.Some people use faith like it means a wishful thinking.Faith is just wishful thinking.Like, well, I just kind of have faith that everything's going to work out.Like, what does that even mean?For some people, they think faith is just the way of the ignorant.Like, well, you believe in science.Or you believe in faith, rather. I believe in science.And they're condescending. You're just some, you know, backwoods, redneck, you're ignorant.I believe in science, but you have your little fairy tale faith.And still other people look at faith as some kind of ambiguous spirituality.You hear people say, I'm a person of faith.Do you know who else is a person of faith?Literally everybody.Everybody believes in something.What is your faith in?Because you can have faith in the wrong thing.So listen, my friends, God is not a generic concept and neither is faith.Faith is a specific disposition towards a specific person.That's why Hebrews 11.6 says without faith,it is impossible to please Him for whoever would draw near to God.That's the knowing God piece.Whoever would draw near to God must believe that He existsand that He rewards those who seek Him.It starts with obviously an acknowledgement of His existence,but it doesn't stop there. You have to seek Him.You have a responsibility.God took the initiative. He revealed Himself in Jesus.What is my responsibility in this relationship?Or how can I grow in knowing Jesus?I want you to draw these three things down.How can I grow in knowing Jesus?Letter A, you have to confess with your mouth.Romans 10.9 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lordand believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.And you are not going to grow in your relationship with Himif you don't have one to begin with."So have you made that confession?Do you believe that Jesus Christ died on the crossto pay the penalty for your sins, that He rose from the deadto give you eternal life? Do you believe that?Because people have this idea that, well, we're all children of Godand a creative sense, yes, but not in the adoptive sense.Yes, we do all have a relationship with Jesus.The question is, do you have a good relationship with Himor a bad relationship with Him?You have to confess with your mouth.Ask to start there, letter B, you have to hear the Word.You have to hear the Word.Romans 10.17 says, "So faith comes from hearingand hearing through the Word of Christ."The only way your faith grows is through the Word of God.Because this is the only truly reliable source of informationabout Jesus, because this is the source of informationthat was given to us by God.You have to be in the Wordif you're going to know Jesus.Any relationship involves time and communication.And some people, they spend no time in His Word,no time praying His Word and reading and studying and meditating.And they spend no time at all in the Word.And then they wonder why they feel so distant.Relationships grow when time is spent together.You need to prioritize spending time and praying the Word of God.Finally, letter C, keep His commandments.Jesus says in John 15.10, "If you keep My commandments,you will abide in My love just as I have kept My Father's commandmentsand abide in His love."That's how you abide. It's through obedience.Now listen, if you're a Christian and you're in sin,sin is not going to end your relationship with Jesus.But you're obviously going to feel distant from Godif you have unrepentant sin.Any area of disobedience in your life that you refuse to deal with,you're going to feel distant.And that's not on God. That's on you.God hasn't gone anywhere. You have.So what is it in your life right now that you're like,"I know that this is what God wants me to stop doing,or maybe something God wants you to start doing,but you know exactly what it is.You need to turn from that sin.You need to obey whatever Jesus is calling you to.And you're going to enjoy the freedomthat repentance brings in your walk with Christ."This is what keeps people from coming to Christin the first place, by the way.Jesus will take you just as you are,but He won't leave you that way.Jesus wants to transform you.He wants to change you.Some people just don't want to be changed.Keep His commandments.The Word became flesh.God became a man.Our worship team would come back up.You know, I came to Christ when I was 20.And it's an amazing thing to grow up in a churchas a kid.All those days, all those yearssitting in the church, how little I really understood.But when I was led to Christ, it was this whole newworld, right?And I remember I was trying to understand.And I had this Bible that my parents got me.You know, some Bibles have the little story inserts,little devotional things that kind of build into the Bible.Well, this Bible had this story in it.And the story goes something like this.There was this farmer and his wife, it was Chris Paseeb,and the farmer's wife was going to church.And she asked her husband if he wanted to go with her.He goes, "No, I don't get that church stuff.It doesn't, that makes no sense to me.You know, I'm not interested at all, but you go have fun."Well, she went to church.And while he was home, he saw that there were birds trying to getinto his barn.This really bad deep freeze came over, kind of like,"What happened here?"And these birds were trying to get into the barn,seeking shelter from the cold.The farmer says, "Well, I can help those birds."So he goes, "I'll just go out and open the doorand let them in the barn."And when he went out, you know what birds do, right?They just kind of scattered everywhere.The farmer's like, "Well, that sure didn't help anything."So he thought, "Well, maybe if I just leave breadcrumbs,I can like guide them in there somehow."Didn't work.No matter what the farmer did, he couldn't get the birdsinto the barn to get shelter.And as the story goes, I don't think it's a true story,but as the story goes, he stood and lookedout the kitchen window, and he saw the birds back flyingaround the outside of the barn not able to get in.And the farmer thought to himself,"Those birds are going to die."And as badly as I want to save them,I don't know how I can get them into the barn.But then the farmer had a thought.The farmer thought, "You know, if I could become a birdfor like five minutes, I could approach them,they wouldn't be scared of me, I could speak their language,and I could show them the way that they could be saved."And right when he had the thought, the story goes,"Off in the distance, he heard the church's bells ringing."And that's when it connected.It's a dumb story.Admittedly, what I'm going to tell you as a young Christian,when I read that, that's what made everything click for me.Yes, that's the purpose of the incarnation,that God became one of us to save us.So what do you want for Christmas?I want to know God, not the generic knockoff,but the real person.Because knowing God is eternal life.We're going to have our elders and members of our prayer teamup front here.And in just a moment, Ashley's going to sing a song over you.And we're going to have a good old-fashioned altar call.You can stay in your seat, you can pray right where you are.But I want you to know there's people that are up here that would love to pray with youand for you.So as Ashley sings over you, we're going to invite youto come. Maybe there's somebody herethat today you're like, "You know what? I don't really know God. I know about Him.But I don't really have a relationship with Him.Today's the day. Today's the day that you can go from knowing aboutGod to knowing God. So please come.Our Father in Heaven, we thank Youfor the way that You have demonstrated Your holiness and loveby taking on flesh and blood.Father, I pray against all of the distractions. It's that time of yearthat there's more to do than we have time to do.And there's so many things buying for our attention.Father, I pray that we would take a realclose examination at the person of Jesus Christ and examine our own hearts.Are we truly walking with Him? Do we trulyhave a relationship with Him that we're spending timetogether and knowing and growing?Or are we just churchgoers?Father, I thank You. You've revealed Your heart. You want us to know You.You've done everything and have just simply called us to receivewhat You have accomplished.Father, thank You. We praise You and ask that You would continue to manifestYour goodness and presence in us by the power of Your Spirit through the wisdomof Your Word. We praise You in the name of JesusChrist, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Jesus Followers Are Expected, by God, to Confess their Sins and Plead for Forgiveness {Penitence} Real Time MESSAGE SUMMARY: Penitence is not a once in a lifetime occurrence. Penitence is a daily and moment by moment, real time, occurrence. None of us is perfect, and not one of us always does the will of God. Paul, in Romans 2:4-5, is unequivocal in establishing the need for your continuing penitence and the consequences of your not repenting of your sins on a real-time basis: “Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.". Therefore, we all need to repent and return to the Lord. You can become cocky and arrogant in your spiritual life – “I am a Christian; God has done this for me.”. As the Psalmist tells us in Psalms 32:5 of his confession and his penitence: “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,' and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.". You can rest on our perceived laurels; but these perceptions, of personal goodness and righteousness, can lead you quickly to a need for your penitence.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Most merciful God I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. His food was locusts and wild honey. People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. Matthew 3:4-6 Confess Do you ever wrestle with regret? I’m not talking about how you may regret not buying that stock when it was at $20 per share or eating at that sketchy restaurant and getting food poisoning. I’m talking about the regret of the decisions that have left you with shame. You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? There was that time when you took things too far. There was that time when, so enraged, you said or did something you can’t take back. Or maybe there is that constant guilt that you carry around because you know your life choices aren’t the right ones, and you’ve been acting on that urge or behavior, even though you know it is wrong. You know that it is toxic for you and/or your relationships with others, and you’ve gone back to it more times than you can count. The people who came to see John preaching at the Jordan River were just like you and me. They wrestled with guilt. They knew shame. And, tragically, when they went to their religious leaders, they were told, ‘Stop doing that! Be better!’ However, John said something else. When they talked with John, they unburdened themselves of that weight of regret and shame. They confessed to their sins that had weighed them down and left them feeling lost. And do you know what John told them? He assured them of their forgiveness! Whatever guilt or shame has brought regret into your life, confess it. Open your heart to God and confess that sin. Because when we do that, God promises that he has forgiven us because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus has paid for all the things you regret, and he promises that you and I are loved and wanted by him. Prayer: Dear Jesus, forgive me for my past missteps and failures. I am sorry for them. Jesus fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy in His first coming—and will fulfill the rest at His return. Materialism can’t satisfy the soul; Christ alone brings peace, purpose, and rest. Full Transcript Below: Seeking Something More This Christmas By Vivian Bricker Bible Reading: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). During the Christmas season, it is common to get caught up in all the holiday preparations. We are so worried about buying gifts for everyone, preparing the Christmas dinner, and planning all the activities. All of this can become overwhelming and even take the joy of Christmas away from us. Rather than viewing Christmas as a day to celebrate our Savior, we see it as a stressful day, filled with obligations. Sadly, this is not unusual for most people living in the modern world. Productivity has become the baseline for us, and if we are not being productive all the time, we are somehow failing. Within the realm of the Christmas holiday, we feel that we are not being productive or efficient if we haven’t bought all the presents we need to buy and finished all our preparations. In other words, we feel we are somehow failing at Christmas if everything is not perfect according to this materialistic world. Similar to many people, I grew up with the view that Christmas was all about Santa Claus and gifts. However, even as a kid, I sometimes felt like there was something I was missing. As I became a teenager, I quickly saw how Christmas activities could turn sour when family members couldn't get along, and it made me more stressed about the holiday. I didn’t look forward to Christmas because I didn’t fully understand what it meant—I just associated it with stressful situations. By the end of my first semester in college, I had truly come to understand that Christmas is the celebration of the Lord’s birth into the world. Even if we don’t have gifts, fancy dinners, or elaborate activities, we can still worship, praise, and give thanks to the Lord. We will all eventually come to this reality. Our souls will hunger and thirst for something more on Christmas if we genuinely do not know the Lord. Our own family traditions and celebrations can be fun, but if they are not rooted in honoring Christ, our souls will continue to yearn for more. You may have already felt this, and you are ready to make a change. Talk with Him in prayers, read and study the Bible, and seek out trusted sources to learn more about Him. Jesus will reveal Himself to you and help satisfy your spiritual hunger. Intersecting Faith & Life: Isaiah prophesied, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus is the child who was born into the world. He is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Jesus fulfilled this prophecy when He came into the world. There are many other prophecies He fulfilled during His first coming, and He will fulfill even more prophecies during His second coming. Christmas is a time to seek out the truth of the Lord as well as to look forward to His return. He will return, which means we need to be ready (Revelation 16:15). This Christmas, let us focus on seeking the Lord. We don’t need to try to satisfy our yearning hearts with materialism. Instead, we need to turn to the Lord and truly celebrate Him. Our hearts, souls, and entire beings can worship Him. Seek Him this Christmas and ensure your heart is following Him. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus yet, know that you can do so today. Confess your sins to Him, ask Him to be your Savior, repent, and follow Him. You can start a new life today and walk in accordance with the Lord. Allow Jesus to bring your heart what it truly needs this Christmas and every other day of the year: His love. Jesus will fulfill our hearts' desires better than anyone or anything else. I’m not talking about how you may regret not buying that stock when it was at $20 per share or eating at that sketchy restaurant and getting food poisoning. I’m talking about the regret of the decisions that have left you with shame. You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? There was that time when you took things too far. There was that time when, so enraged, you said or did something you can’t take back. Or maybe there is that constant guilt that you carry around because you know your life choices aren’t the right ones, and you’ve been acting on that urge or behavior, even though you know it is wrong. You know that it is toxic for you and/or your relationships with others, and you’ve gone back to it more times than you can count. The people who came to see John preaching at the Jordan River were just like you and me. They wrestled with guilt. They knew shame. And, tragically, when they went to their religious leaders, they were told, ‘Stop doing that! Be better!’ However, John said something else. When they talked with John, they unburdened themselves of that weight of regret and shame. They confessed to their sins that had weighed them down and left them feeling lost. And do you know what John told them? He assured them of their forgiveness! Whatever guilt or shame has brought regret into your life, confess it. Open your heart to God and confess that sin. Because when we do that, God promises that he has forgiven us because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus has paid for all the things you regret, and he promises that you and I are loved and wanted by him. Prayer: Dear Jesus, forgive me for my past missteps and failures. I am sorry for them.
