Add in unhinged pranks, a pocket bullet gone wrong, and a front yard incident that'll have you questioning everything… yeah, it gets feral. They close it out with nostalgic, cringe-worthy throwbacks—childhood trauma, middle school madness, and the kind of stories you won't believe actually happened. Friendship is not optional in the Christian life—it’s essential. Lauren Fletcher highlights how God designs relationships to encourage, support, and help us grow in Christ. By sharing our struggles, confessing sin, and offering genuine care, we reflect God’s love to one another. True friendships sharpen us, lift us up in times of need, and create a community where His love is experienced and expressed. Highlights Encouragement: Friends help us persevere and remind us of God’s truth (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Spiritual Growth: “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend” (Proverbs 27:17). Support in Hardship: Care packages, prayer, and practical help show Christ’s love in action. Confession & Healing: Sharing struggles removes shame and brings healing (James 5:16; Galatians 6:1-2). Together We Thrive: Ecclesiastes reminds us that life is better lived with others; multiple relationships strengthen resilience (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). Love in Action: By loving friends authentically, God’s love is manifested in us. Intersecting Faith & Life God did not intend for us to walk through life alone. Whether it’s encouragement in a hard season, spiritual accountability, or practical support, friends reflect His heart and make the Christian journey sustainable and joyful. Cultivating and investing in these relationships honors God and enriches our daily walk. This episode is sponsored by Trinity Debt Management. If you are struggling with debt call Trinity today. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.” - 1 John 4:11-12 I have been blessed with many close friends. It wasn’t always that way, though. There was a time when I didn’t share much about myself with others. I hid the “not pretty” part of my life in a figurative coat closet, with the bad memories boxed up on the top shelf. There were things I had learned that you do not talk about. All of this changed when I started a new season of small groups at church. Within safe spaces, I learned I could share my life with others and be fully accepted. This surprised me. I realized the closet had to be opened, and the memories, one by one, taken off the shelf, boxes opened, and shared with others. What I learned was that friendship is a blessing and absolutely essential to the Christian life. In friendship, we encourage each other and help each other grow. I have a friend with a gift for encouragement. I call her sometimes for a “pep talk.” She has a great way of encouraging me in the Lord and reminding me of the truth. I can come with my difficult circumstances and prayer requests and leave with a sense of hope. I am so grateful to her. In 1 Thessalonians, it says, “So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). It is so important to encourage each other because life can get difficult. We need each other’s help to keep going. As friends, we also help each other grow. In Proverbs, it says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend” (Proverbs 27:17). We make each other better in Christ. We help each other in times of need. As I joined a women’s group at my church, I saw this firsthand. Meeting around the fire, I’d hear women share their stories and what they were going through. Each person was met with support and love. Sometimes, we’d support each other through care packages, times of prayer, or even meal trains. This showed me how to love others in their hard seasons, how to be there for them. 1 John 4:11-12 says, “Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.” As we put our love into action, we show each other the love of Christ. We confess our sins to each other. I remember in college, I was struggling with sin. At some point, I confessed this sin to a friend of mine, who listened, supported me, and compassionately shared helpful scripture with me. What happened was I no longer felt alone in things or hidden in shame. In Galatians 6, Paul says, “Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:1-2). What I found in sharing these hard things with friends is that we begin to fight this battle together—I am no longer by myself in it. It also removes the shame that I feel, which causes me to hide sin. Coming into the light, my friends have been waiting and ready to help. In James, it says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16). When we stop hiding our sin from each other and from God, He can heal us. Intersecting Faith & Life: As I’ve continued to learn about friendship, I've found that friends help pick each other up. In Ecclesiastes, it says, “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). The writer continues, “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). I pray that you find these things to be true in your friendships as well. God did not create us to be alone or to walk out this life by ourselves. I pray that God will bring you the right people at the right time and strengthen the relationships you already have. Lord, thank You for friendship. Thank You that you intended for us to walk through life with others. Thank You for the good plans You have for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11). I pray that You would bless my life with abundant relationships that reflect Your heart. Show me how to be a good friend. In Jesus’s name, Amen. Send a textDuring the season of Lent, Bishop Wright invites all to a five-week Lenten teaching series, We Confess, with weekly video meditations and study guides that frame Lent as a loving turn toward healing, renewal, and hope through honest confession. You can learn more about the series at episcopalatlanta.org/lent26.In this week's episode, Melissa and Bishop Wright have a conversation about the fourth reflection: We Confess We Do Not See as God Sees. What if the metrics you trust most are blinding you to the best possible choice? In 1 Samuel 16, Samuel's search for Israel's next king helps us uncover why patience, humility, and a long memory of God's ways are essential for real discernment. The story refuses our love of polish and speed: seven strong candidates pass by, and the answer arrives late, smaller, and smelling like pasture. That pause—Have we seen all the sons?—becomes a model for leadership, relationships, and everyday decisions that resist convenience in favor of wisdom. Listen in for the full conversation.Support the show Follow us on IG and FB at Bishop Rob Wright.

Dave and Bethlie continue their series in identifying biblical steps for climbing out of the darkness that depression can bring. From confessing sin and getting right with God, to listing your responsibilities, avoiding pity parties, and anchoring yourself in the truth of Scripture, we know God's Word is powerful enough to help you overcome. Just as David continually brought himself back to the truth of who God is in the midst of his own pain, so can you. If God is real and His Word is true — and it is — you can overcome depression! You can recognize a failing solution when the depression become cyclical Discouragement is normal to live Depression occurs when I handle discouragements and failures in a wrong way Stay focused on duties If discouragement separates us from our duties, it will always lead to depression You MUST continue to perform your duties and meet your obligations Around and around in depression Cf. 2 Corinthians 4:8 Recognize the truth about what is happening Understand the difference in discouragement and depression Steps to take: Confess sin List responsibilities Pity parties Gripe sessions complaining Your family Your home Your job Avoid all the negatives Get to work doing them
In this final session of the What Does God Want? teaching series based on the work of Michael Heiser, we bring the entire story together. Discipleship is not a checklist of spiritual habits. It is allegiance to a risen King in a world still shaped by rebellion. In this episode we explore what disciples actually do: • Worship with their whole lives • Confess sin and walk in forgiveness • Study and live out God's Word • Endure suffering with loyal faith • Make more disciples in a contested world But beneath these practices is something deeper: identity. From the supernatural rebellion of Genesis to the cosmic victory of the cross, Scripture tells one unified story. When Jesus declared that all authority in heaven and on earth had been given to Him, it was not symbolic — it was a regime change. Following Jesus means living as citizens of His Kingdom now. This episode is both a recap and a commissioning: a reminder that we are not passive observers in history, but participants in God's redemptive plan. The King is reigning. The mission continues. The call is clear. Be found faithful. This podcast is listener-supported. If you believe in equipping believers to discern truth, leave deception, and stand firm in Christ, you can help carry this mission forward here:
(Genesis 39:1-21) Genesis 39:6–8 (ESV) So he left all that he had in Joseph's charge, and because of him he had no concern about anything but the food he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And after a time his master's wife cast her eyes on Joseph and said, “Lie with me.” But he refused. Joseph Was Distinctive: The Favor/Purpose Of The Father Was TangibleHis Coat (Favor): Genesis 37:3–4 (ESV) Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his sons, because he was the son of his old age. And he made him a robe of many colors. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him.His Dream (Purpose): Genesis 37:10–11 (ESV) But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?” And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind.Joseph is in prison because of his coat and his dreamJoseph is in prison because of the touch of the father, and the calling of the father. They were jealous - the same touch/favor were available to them as well. His brothers destroyed the coat to remove the father's touch and sold him to remove the father's callingGenesis 37:10–11 (ESV) But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?” And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind. The Father's Favor And Purpose Remained - Genesis 39:2–5 (ESV) The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master. His master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had. From the time that he made him overseer in his house and over all that he had, the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had, in house and field.Favor Attacked By A SUBSTITUTE For God's Gift Of SEXGenesis 39:7–8 (ESV) And after a time his master's wife cast her eyes on Joseph and said, “Lie with me.” But he refused and said to his master's wife, This is an iconic crossroads in life, desiring to pull you out of alignment with God's favor. We heard a White Castle confession that had the whole room reacting, a woman proudly living the no-panties lifestyle for years, an armpit obsession that sent everyone screaming, and a jaw-dropping reveal about a family-run escort operation. You can learn more about the series at episcopalatlanta.org/lent26.In this week's episode, Melissa and Bishop Wright have a conversation about the third reflection: We Confess We Forget. Thirst in the desert will test any heart. Using Exodus 17, they trace the tension of freshly freed people, real dehydration, rising panic, and ask why human memory collapses right when we need it most. Their focus lands on confession as a path back to freedom: admitting that we forget and that fear tempts us to outsource our agency to leaders or systems that cannot carry our soul. Walking through the story, they name the true cost of freedom—responsibility and agency—and sit with Moses in the uncomfortable middle between a grieving crowd and a listening God. Rather than scolding the ancestors, we let their honesty teach us. If you're standing at the edge of a hard need—health, money, work, or grief—this conversation invites you to carry memory like water and to trust that provision may arrive from an angle you didn't expect.Support the show Follow us on IG and FB at Bishop Rob Wright.
March 06 2026 Friday Who Jesus Made You To Be / Week 16 Made Perfect #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' Matthew 11:28 Find Rest In Jesus Christ Your Lord and Savior… Mark 10:29-30 100 Fold Return… Psalm 37:4 God will give you the desires of your heart… The Galations, having launched their Christian experience by faith, seem content to leave their voyage of faith and chart a new course based on works—a course Paul finds disturbing. His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Sermon delivered on Wednesday, February, 4th, 2026, at Serious Christian Church in Cape Town, South Africa
Are you silently battling thoughts that won't let you go? In this eye-opening episode, Julieann Hartman explores the biblical call to confess our sins to one another—not for shame, but for healing. The enemy thrives in secrecy, using hidden struggles to torment our minds and keep us bound. Julieann emphasizes the importance of finding safe, trustworthy people to open up to and reminds us that isolation only deepens the pain. Freedom begins when we bring things into the light—because what's exposed loses its power to control us.
What the Bible Teaches About Sexual Purity in a Confused Culture Show: Anchored in the Word with Dave Jenkins Author: Dave Jenkins Date: March 5, 2026 Show Summary Question: What does the Bible teach about sexual purity in a confused culture? In this episode of Anchored in the Word, Dave Jenkins answers an urgent question for our time: what does Scripture teach about sexual purity when the culture is constantly redefining sexuality and calling purity outdated or unloving? God's Word does not shift with the times. God's design is good, intentional, and for our flourishing. Sexual sin is not merely a cultural issue—it is a heart issue. It affects our conscience, our relationships, our work, and our walk with Christ. But God's Word gives clarity, hope, and direction, and Christ offers real forgiveness and lasting renewal. Listen Watch --> Key Scriptures Genesis 1:27 Genesis 2:24 Ephesians 5:25–32 Matthew 5:27–28 Romans 12:2 Galatians 5:16 1 John 1:9 Hebrews 10:24–25 Psalm 51:10 Episode Highlights God created humanity male and female—sexual identity is received from God, not invented (Genesis 1:27). God designed sexuality for covenant marriage—exclusive, permanent, and worshipful (Genesis 2:24). Purity is not only behavior—it begins in the heart (Matthew 5:27–28). Temptation lies and sin overpromises—but only Christ satisfies. Four biblical strategies to pursue purity through Word, Spirit, repentance, and community. Full Article God's Word Does Not Shift with Culture We live in a world where the meaning of sexuality is constantly shifting, where purity is labeled outdated, and where boundaries are rejected. But God's Word does not shift with our culture. God's design is good. It is intentional, and it is for our flourishing. Sexual Sin Is a Heart Issue Sexual sin is not merely a cultural issue—it is a heart issue. It affects our conscience, our relationships, our work, and our walk with Christ. And many today struggle in silence—trapped, ashamed, numb, or confused. But the Word of God gives clarity, hope, and direction. God's Design for Sexuality and Identity Genesis 1:27 teaches that God created man in His own image—male and female He created them. Sexual identity is not invented; it is received from God as part of His created order. Genesis 2:24 adds that a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. God designed sexuality to be covenant-based, exclusive, permanent, life-giving, and worshipful—because marriage reflects Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:25–32). Marriage is not merely relational; it is deeply theological. Purity Begins in the Heart Sexual purity is not only avoiding sinful behavior—it is devotion to Christ in body and heart. Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:27–28 that lust is adultery of the heart. Purity begins inwardly and works outward into obedience, shaping thoughts, desires, intentions, and behaviors. Scripture uses the category of sexual immorality to describe any sexual expression outside the covenant of marriage. This includes pornography, lust, fornication, adultery, sexual fantasy, and anything that distorts God's design. Purity is not simply avoiding sin—it is walking in holiness. Why We Need Biblical Clarity in the Battle The world normalizes impurity, our sinful nature is drawn to it, and the enemy tempts us with false promises. Temptation lies, and sin overpromises but never satisfies. Only Christ gives true peace, joy, and fulfillment. We do not fight in our own strength—we fight with the truth of God's Word. Four Biblical Strategies for Pursuing Purity Renew your mind with the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Purity begins with a renewed way of thinking—thinking God's thoughts after Him. Walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). Purity is not achieved through willpower, but through dependence on the Spirit of God. Confess and repent quickly (1 John 1:9). Confession is not defeat—it is the path to restoration and cleansing. Pursue accountability and community (Hebrews 10:24–25). Isolation fuels temptation, but life in the local church strengthens obedience. Hope for the Guilty and Ashamed Maybe you feel guilty, convicted, discouraged, or ashamed. Hear this clearly: God does not shame His children. He restores them. Psalm 51:10 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” God specializes in redemption—He washes, renews, restores, strengthens, and changes desires. Christ Is Better Sexual purity is not just saying no to sin—it is saying yes to Christ, because Christ is better. Christ satisfies, Christ renews, and Christ heals. Takeaways & Reflection Questions Where have you allowed cultural assumptions to shape your thinking more than Scripture? In what ways do you see temptation promising comfort or satisfaction that only Christ can give? What practical step can you take today to renew your mind with God's Word (Romans 12:2)? Who in your local church can you invite into honest accountability and prayer? If you're carrying shame, how does Psalm 51:10 reframe your hope in God's restoring grace? Stay tuned for reflections, community shoutouts from Michael McClatcher, and invitations to join this growing circle of faith. Whether you're new or a regular, today's journey invites you to experience grace, hope, and belonging at the heart of God's word. TODAY'S DEVOTION: He frees us from the agreements of sin. In Numbers 30, scripture starts with instructions that might seem obscure. There's guidance about vows and how a married woman or an unmarried daughter might be released from a binding agreement—by bringing it to her father or husband, who could nullify it if they did not approve. It was simple: freedom from obligation came through someone in authority. In Mark 9, Jesus confronts sin with equally strong language. He says, "If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off." He isn't advocating literal amputation, but rather using powerful words to emphasize the seriousness of sin's grip. Sin, Jesus shows us, operates like a contract, a vow—an insidious agreement between ourselves and the parts of us that are prone to wander. Sin says to the hand, "Do this and I'll reward you with that." Sin bargains with the eye, "Look here and you'll gain something." We make these agreements, often without realizing, and they bind us. But severing limbs is not the answer. The answer is severing the vows and contracts we have unwittingly made with sin. And the way to do that is the way shown in Numbers 30: we bring our vow to the Father. We confess to Him the promise, the contract that is ruining our lives—and He, our good Father, is the one with the authority to nullify it. He breaks the contract. He releases us from sin's power and control. This is not about magic words; it's about what God has done in sending His Son. Jesus paid the price for our sin. He met the demands of the agreement, and He alone has the power to free us from the bonds we've created. He is the one who can tie those deceitful contracts to a millstone and throw them into the sea. Are you trapped in the grip of sin? Take every agreement you've made—all the bargains, all the lies—and bring them to your Father. Confess them. Your confession doesn't change God's attitude toward you; it changes you. It wipes your eyes clear to the truth of your being: that you belong to Him. Regardless of sins committed, God will never cease to be your Father. He has united Himself with us once and for all through Jesus Christ—His incarnation, death, resurrection, ascension. Jesus has defeated sin, death, and the grave. Sin blinds our eyes to the reality that we are swept up into something new, but confession is our way of seeing again. On the cross, Jesus broke the power of every agreement. Let us return to the Father and remember who we are in the Son—free, alive, hopeful, and full of love. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. Welcome to the Grace in Focus podcast. Today, Bob Wilkin and Ken Yates are answering a question about Romans 10:9-10. Is confessing Christ a requirement to be born again? If so, why is it not mentioned with other so-called salvation verses? Are there two steps to faith? Please listen to this and every episode of The post Does Romans 10:9-10 Say We Must Confess Christ to Be Born Again? appeared first on Grace Evangelical Society.
In Week 8 of our James series, Pastor Aaron McRae walks through James 5:12–20 and explores one central theme: the power of words. From truthful speech to corporate prayer, from confession to restoring someone who has wandered from the faith, James reminds us that words shape lives, communities, and eternity. We live in a world filled with noise — conspiracy theories, instant reactions, and competing truth claims. But James calls believers to something radically different:Let your “yes” be yes.Pray in suffering.Praise in joy.Confess sins to one another.Restore those who wander.Pastor Aaron unpacks how suffering can strain our relationship with God and others — and how prayer is meant to anchor and restore the community. James shows us that sickness, hardship, and even wandering faith are not problems to ignore but opportunities for prayerful care and courageous love. This message challenges us to move beyond private spirituality into corporate vulnerability:Prayer that is Spirit-empowered.Confession that builds trust.Correction that restores gently.Community that refuses to isolate the weak.James closes his letter not with theory — but with action. Words that tell the truth. Words that pray. Words that confess. Along the way we accidentally detour into: Elimination Chamber chaos Ronda vs. Gina (huh?) Logan Paul winning just to spite us Pat McAfee possibly becoming the next Stallone (yes, really) Mayweather, Pacquiao, and the battle of “why?” Jennifer Coolidge ascending to MILF immortality Plus Rod Stewart, Wayne's World beef, and America's Next Top Meltdown And then—BOOM— New spinoff alert: Stallone Cold Debates. Because if two idiots are going to argue about Stallone … it might as well be us. #Bend & snap #Rip ‘Em!
March 02 2026 Monday Who Jesus Made You To Be / Week 16 Righteous Character In Him #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Freedom in Christ means freedom to produce the fruits of righteousness through a Spirit-led lifesty Philippians 1:11 Romans 10:9-10 Salvation… 1 John 1:9 Confess your sins God Will Cleanse You… Romans 13:8 Live in God's Love… Romans 8:16-17 Heirs of God and Joint Heirs with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… Revelation 1:6 We are kings and priest in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… Romans 10:13 Call On The Name Of Jesus And Make Him Lord today… The Biblical Definition Of Grace Is God's Unmerited Favor… Matthew 18:19-20 I will agree with you about your prayer request… Acts 10:34 God is not a respecter of persons. At the heart of Romans 10 lies one of the most liberating truths in all of Scripture: salvation is not a distant prize we must climb mountains to reach, but a gift placed within arm's reach. This passage dismantles the exhausting treadmill of performance-based righteousness and reveals that God is not far off, demanding we ascend to heaven or descend into the abyss to find Him. Instead, He came to us. The message explores how we've often overcomplicated what God made beautifully simple—that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. This isn't about checking boxes or accumulating enough church attendance or service hours. It's about genuine faith that wells up from within and spills out in confession. The distinction between righteousness based on law versus righteousness based on faith becomes crystal clear: one leads to endless emptiness, the other to complete fulfillment. For those of us striving to earn what has already been freely given, this message offers profound relief. For those who have believed but never publicly confessed, it issues a gentle but urgent invitation. And for all of us, it reminds us that the word is near—in our mouths and in our hearts—not because we've worked hard enough, but because God, in His mercy, brought it to us.**Sermon Notes – Romans 10:5–15 – “The Message of Salvation to All”**---### 1. Righteousness Based on the Law → Emptiness (vv.5; Lev. 18:5; James 2:10)- Paul quotes Moses (Lev. 18:5): “The person who does the commandments shall live by them.”- To be righteous by law you must keep *all* of it, perfectly.- The law was never meant to *save* but to: - Reveal God's standard. - Expose our sin and inability. - Point to our need for a Savior.- When we base our standing with God on works (church attendance, serving, morality), it produces: - Constant insecurity. - Pride if we think we're doing well; despair if we know we're not.- Ephesians 2:4–9: We are saved by grace through faith, *not* works, so no one may boast.---### 2. Righteousness Based on Faith → Fulfillment (vv.6–8; Deut. 30:11–14)- Paul uses Deut. 30 to say: the word is *near* you—in your mouth and heart.- We don't “ascend to heaven” or “descend to the abyss” to reach Christ: - We can't climb up to God. - God came down to us in Christ.- God is not distant: - “The Lord is near to all who call on him” (Ps. 145:18). - “Near to the brokenhearted” (Ps. 34:18).- True fulfillment is not in success, family, money, or “the American dream,” but in trusting Christ and His finished work.---### 3. How We Are Saved (vv.9–13)- v.9–10: - Confess with your mouth that **Jesus is Lord**. - Believe in your heart that **God raised Him from the dead**. - You *will* be saved.- Believe → justified. Confess → saved (public identification with Christ).- This is simple, but not superficial: - Acknowledge your sin (Rom. 3:23). - Believe in Christ's death and resurrection. - Confess Him openly (baptism is a commanded, public expression—but not what saves).- Luke 23 thief on the cross: - No time for works or rituals. - Belief and confession → “Today you will be with me in paradise.”- v.11–13: “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame… Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - No distinction: Jew/Greek. Same Lord. Same way of salvation.---### 4. Sent to Share (vv.13–15)- v.14–15: How will they call, believe, or hear without someone preaching? - “Preaching” here is not just pastors—every believer bears witness.- God raises up future pastors, missionaries, disciple-makers from each generation.- The church must: - Invest in the next generation. - Refuse to idolize methods or traditions; cling to the unchanging gospel.---## Practical Applications1. **Stop Trying to Earn It** - Identify where you still try to “pay God back” with works. - Repent of self-righteousness; rest in grace.2. **Examine: Have You Both Believed and Confessed?** - Have you trusted Christ personally? - Have you ever clearly told others or been baptized as a believer? If not, take that step.3. **Lean Into God's Nearness** - When He feels distant, preach Deut. 30:14; Ps. 34:18 to yourself. - Bring your brokenness honestly before Him.4. **Own Your Mission Field** - Where you live, work, and play is your assignment. - This week: intentionally share your story or an aspect of the gospel with one person.5. **Invest in the Next Generation** - Pray for and encourage students and kids. - Consider serving in ministries that disciple them.---## Discussion Questions1. Where have you personally tried to base your righteousness on “law” or performance? What fruit did that produce?2. How does knowing God is *near* (Deut. 30; Psalms) change how you handle seasons when He *feels* far?3. Have you both believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord? What did/does that confession look like?4. Why is it vital that the church adapt methods (but not the message) to reach the next generation?5. Who in your life “cannot hear” unless you speak? What's one concrete step you can take this week to share Christ with them?
03/01/2026 Love, Rewritten | God's Unconditional LoveExodus 34BIG IDEA: God's hesed is covenant love that binds Himself to us and refuses to let go.How long will God keep loving us? Following Jesus is not about trying harder, it's about surrendering more. Idols in our lives: What idols do you have in your life that keep you from enriching your relationship with Jesus? You are free to choose, but you are not free to choose your consequences.God's hesed for you:Hesed is rooted in God's character. Hesed is not sustained by your behavior, it's sustained by God's character..Hesed outlasts failure.Hesed is revealed fully in Christ. (John 1:14) Jesus is hesed embodied (1 Peter 1: 18-19). The Cross is not emotional love, it's covenantal love paying the price. In Christ, your new reality is:Hesed means you can stop performing. If God's love were conditional, you would have to maintain it. Read Galatians 3:3 and 2:20.Hesed means you can stop hiding. Confess your sins, repent, and receive God's forgiveness. (Psalm 32)Hesed means you can start loving differently. (Colossians 3; Ephesians 4) We are anchored by God's love, so we can love others properly.
What do you do when you have sinned - when your actions have hurt yourself or others? How does someone repent and hope for renewal? Have you stopped to consider the number of lies Democrats tell themselves? It's enormous.I don't know how they live themselves, except to say they're scared to leave the cult.Blatant lies.Covid. Vaccine effectiveness. Masks. Etc.Guns. Border policy. 2020 election. 2022 midterms. J6.The strangest thing about the hypothetical was not the shouting. It was the silence. At precisely midnight, something shifted. No executive order. No Supreme Court ruling. No viral hashtag. Just an inexplicable civic condition: every Democrat in America, from city council to Capitol Hill, suddenly lost the ability to lie.Not exaggerate. Not deflect. Not rebrand. Lie.By sunrise, the cable news studios looked like aquariums after someone forgot to oxygenate the tank. Pundits opened their mouths with the usual choreography, but what came out was unfiltered oxygen. Raw. Bracing. Occasionally fatal to reputations. The first hearings convened before breakfast.A senior Democrat, long fond of describing January 6 as an existential threat on par with Pearl Harbor and 9/11, leaned toward the microphone and admitted that while the riot was disgraceful, the apocalyptic rhetoric proved politically invaluable. It unified a fractured caucus. It redirected scrutiny away from pandemic policy failures. It froze debate. “Most secure election in history,” another repeated, before clarifying that security and public confidence are not synonyms, particularly after states rewrote voting procedures under emergency authority while private actors poured hundreds of millions into local election administration. He even cited the now well documented “Zuckerberg grants,” the $419 million channeled through the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a figure reported widely in 2021 and dissected in state legislatures thereafter. What had once been framed as “philanthropy” was now described, under duress of honesty, as asymmetrical infrastructure. Legal, perhaps. Neutral, not exactly. Then the conversation pivoted to COVID.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

On this episode of Ask, Tell, Confess, the Coven comes in hot. Bunnie XO recaps her FOUR-HOUR interview with Larry Birkhead — including finally meeting Dannielynn — while the girls juggle tour rehearsals, tease surprise guest moments, and freak out over the book popping up in local stores. Then the confessions take over. Hailee shares a high-fiber cereal story that turns into pure trauma, Meme reads a submission about a jaw-dropping run-in with an older woman, and the Coven reacts to a listener's marriage drama about a husband who won't do a single thing around the house. Starting with Genesis 2–3 as a living paradigm, they unpack why humans reach for control even when life is abundant, and how that refusal to submit to God's words and ways leads to guilt, isolation, and disobedience. So, let's dive right into the nitty-gritty of servant leadership, shall we? You know, it's all fun and games until you realize that a lack of accountability can turn those so-called “servant leaders” into untouchable demigods. We're not here for a morality contest, folks; we're all human, and that's the point. Today, we're breaking down the BE-COME framework—because, let's face it, who doesn't love a good acronym? It's all about starting fresh, connecting with our people, and keeping each other in check, all wrapped up in love. Because remember, the Church doesn't need flawless leaders; it needs ones who can own their mess-ups and show up for one another. So, stick around, and let's unpack how we can actually make accountability feel like a warm hug instead of a judgmental fist!Servant leadership is one of the most quoted leadership models in the Church. But if servant leadership is so central to our theology, why do we keep watching leaders fall?In this episode, we examine the dark side of servant leadership—not to tear down leaders, but to tell the truth so the Church can grow healthier.Drawing from a recent discipleship gathering called People of Grace, insights from John Wesley's class meetings, and the BE-COME discipleship framework taught by Sam Barber, this conversation explores why leadership without shared accountability eventually fails. We look at patterns behind recent ministry collapses, the role of isolation in leadership failure, and how churches can recover healthier structures rooted in grace, community, and accountability.Servant leadership works, but only when it is accountable.KEY THEMES• The difference between servant language and servant structure• Why isolation is the most common soil for leadership failure• John Wesley's model of mutual accountability• The BE-COME framework for discipleship• How the early church practiced shared leadership• Practical steps toward accountable leadership todaySCRIPTURE REFERENCESMark 10:42–45 — Whoever wants to be great must be servantJohn 13:1–17 — Jesus washes the disciples' feetMatthew 28:18–20 — The Great CommissionLuke 22:24–27 — Leadership as serviceActs 2:42–47 — Shared life in the early churchGalatians 6:1–2 — Bear one another's burdensJames 5:16 — Confess your sins to one anotherTakeaways:Wesley's concept of accountability in leadership isn't about control, it's about protection and growth. The BE-COME framework emphasizes the importance of community and personal accountability in servant leadership.Servant leadership without accountability can lead to disastrous outcomes, as seen in many high-profile ministry collapses. We can't ignore the reality that isolation distorts leadership and makes it easier for blind spots to grow.True accountability involves asking hard questions and having people who can challenge us without repercussions. The church needs leaders who are known and accountable, not just those who appear humble on the surface.Companies mentioned in this episode:Dynamic Church Planting InternationalGateway ChurchIHOP Kansas City
Ask, Tell, Confess is back—and nothing is off-limits. The Coven kick things off riding high from what Bunnie calls the best episode they've ever recorded with Sharon Osbourne. Then the inbox gets wild: a listener opens up about relapsing into a porn addiction, another admits to a prank involving a toenail and a bag of Fritos that absolutely crosses a line, and one confession goes into way more detail than anyone was prepared for. The crew also dives into catfishing stories and reassures a listener worried about being “too horny” that she's completely normal.Raw, awkward, hilarious, and brutally honest—Ask, Tell, Confess at its finest.
