Welcome to ODAAT, also known as One Day At a Time. The show where we will discuss the essentials and tips for the everyday woman and how to achieve your best life, not just because you deserve it, but because you were made for more! Your host, Karina F. Daves, will interview women that are dominating areas of their lives as they share their stories, tips and secrets to living a more balanced life.
The One Day At A Time podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. From the moment I started listening, I knew that this show was something special. Hosted by Karina, the podcast creates a space for guests to open up and share their personal stories and journeys. The genuine authenticity and warmth that Karina brings to each episode is truly remarkable, making it easy for guests to feel comfortable and safe. It's clear that she has a gift for connecting with others and bringing out the best in them.
One of the best aspects of The One Day At A Time podcast is how Karina's light allows guests to tap into places they didn't expect to explore. Each episode is filled with moments of insight, vulnerability, and growth. Whether it's discussing personal struggles, triumphs, or life lessons learned, there are so many gems scattered throughout each conversation that truly resonate with listeners. The way Karina guides these discussions creates an atmosphere where guests can reflect deeply on their experiences and offer profound insights that leave a lasting impact on the listener.
Furthermore, The One Day At A Time podcast has a knack for choosing diverse guests from all walks of life. This ensures that there is something relatable for everyone who tunes in. Hearing such a wide range of perspectives helps to broaden our own understanding of the human experience and fosters empathy towards others. Additionally, Karina's interviewing style allows each guest to shine brightly, ensuring that their unique stories are told authentically.
Despite its many strengths, there are a few aspects of The One Day At A Time podcast that could be improved upon. Firstly, some episodes may benefit from more focused storytelling or tighter editing to maintain flow and keep the listener engaged throughout. While there are plenty of insightful moments shared by guests, occasionally some conversations may veer off-topic or lose momentum. By refining these areas through editing or structuring episodes more deliberately, the overall listening experience could be enhanced.
In conclusion, The One Day At A Time podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking inspiration, personal growth, and honest conversations about the human experience. Karina's ability to connect with her guests and create an atmosphere of trust allows for deep exploration of topics that truly enrich the lives of those who listen. While there may be minor areas for improvement, the overall impact of this podcast is undeniably powerful. I am eagerly waiting for future episodes and can only hope that many more individuals will be blessed by this podcast in the days to come.

Welcome back to our series “Being the Breadwinner!” In our final installment of this series, we're addressing a relationship problem of invisible and visible forms of labor that may not feel equally distributed. I'll be talking about how to find balance when you have a family. This has been a very touchy subject amongst many circles but it's something we have to talk about. If you and your partner's values don't align, especially when it comes to the division of labor in the home, it will become a problem in your relationship. Once your values align and you learn how to love each other the way you each want to be loved, you'll stop fighting and find more time for intimacy. If you find it difficult to have these conversations within your relationship, book a sales call to work with me in my private 1:1 coaching program. I will support you in this and many other difficult conversations you need to have with your spouse. Check out this week's episode to hear more about how we divide up the labor in my house and how I can help you and your partner be on the same page again about your responsibilities so you can stop worrying about the dishes and focus on each other. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/karina-f-daves/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/karina-f-daves/support
Welcome back to our new series “Being the Breadwinner!” In part three of this series, we're addressing some relationship problems that come up when you become the breadwinner of your family. This week, we talk about how to manage stress, energy, and mindset during this transition. In this episode, I highlighted all the factors that depleted my energy when I became the breadwinner. My sister was diagnosed with cancer, my new position was incredibly demanding, and I even off-boarded all of my clients to focus on my new job and my family. Looking back now, my husband and I made conscious decisions within our relationship to make sure that I didn't burn out. We made sure that I could still be there for my family, for my career, and for my marriage by identifying where I needed support in this new chapter of our lives. Check out this week's episode to hear more about how getting support helped me manage my stress and energy during this time, and how I help my clients identify the support they need from their partners. Welcome back to our brand new series “Being the Breadwinner!”. In part 2 of this series, we'll be addressing some relationship problems that can come up when you become the breadwinner of your family. This week, we're going to talk about how to support your partner's dreams. As their partner, you don't need to understand their dream. You just need to be there for them. Being there for them is the most important thing because it will allow them to feel safe with you. When your partner allows you into their dream and you show up for them without needing to fix anything or criticize anything, they will feel safe with you. And in turn, you will be able to have more discernment about their dreams and they will feel more supported and pushed to achieve it. Hearing what your partner thinks of you is a crucial part of your relationship because your partner is your mirror. They are going to notice things about you that you don't notice about yourself. Welcome to Part 3 of our latest series, Spring Clean Your Relationship! This week, we are asking our partners the question: What are your plans for next month? We're going to work on your short-term goals to see if you can do life with this person in the long term. Because when you're deciding if this is the person you want to do life with, the emphasis is usually on long-term goals. What do we want to do in five years, in ten years, in fifteen years? A lot of big ideas come into place. But when you are making long-term goals in your relationship, they're still a fantasy. You both have to take very small steps in order to watch these big goals be achieved. If this is the person you want to be with for the rest of your life, you have to see if they can handle the short-term plans. Welcome to Part 2 of our newest series, Spring Cleaning Your Relationship! This week, we are asking our partners the question: Do our values still align? Figuring out if your values are aligned will help you figure out if this is the person you want to continue to do life with. Because your values and your partner's values are the way that you both navigate the world and make daily decisions. It impacts the way that you talk to each other, how you act, and how you feel towards each other. Your values are the foundation of the type of person that you are. And, I want you to have this conversation while keeping five specific values in mind. These values are: Faith Family and Friends Money Your Careers Your Hobbies These values are so important to talk about because we don't start the relationship thinking about these values. We talk about how attracted we are to each other or how good of a time we're having right now and how amazing the conversations are. These conversations are fun but they're really not getting into the values you need to think about when deciding whether or not you want to spend the rest of your life with this person. In this week's episode, we're discussing the top three things I learned about marriage. Marriage is a lot of work, but it's not hard if you're paying attention to your partner. Your partner is the love of your life, but they're also their own person. They have their own wants and needs, their own hobbies you won't understand, and their own way of needing space. And a marriage works best when you can understand these lessons and respect them. Over the years, I've learned how to respect our differences and respect our roles in the relationship. In this week's episode, we're discussing the top three signs you are falling out of love with your partner. There is a difference between being “in love” and having “love” for your partner. When you have love for your partner you respect them and have care and compassion for them. However, being “in love” requires you to consciously decide to be with this person and share the rest of your life. Falling “out of love” with our partners can be very scary because it clashes with the big decision of doing life with them. Listen as I walk you through the top 3 signs of falling “out of love” with your partner and how I guide my clients through the problems that can arise during this time and towards a more loving relationship. But it's also important to remember that your partner is not a problem to be solved. You don't have to “fix” them every time your partner has an issue. Many of my clients have a hard time letting go of the fixer role and giving their partners the space to solve their own problems. In this week's episode, we talk about why ride-or-die couples have so many blow-ups. When you are in a ride-or-die relationship your partner's opinion matters so much to you that when it seems like they're being even a little negative, you're going to have an argument. I see this happen all the time with the couples I coach, and it's because you take your opinions so seriously. You care so much about what your partner thinks of you that if they don't automatically love what you love, you're going to feel unsupported, and it creates a blow-up. This is an all too common problem that we can fix together. Tune in to hear how to stop arguing and be more intimate with your partner.
