Listeners of Place to Be Nation Wrestling that love the show mention: highest recommendation,The Place to Be Nation Wrestling podcast is a fantastic listen for any wrestling fan. I discovered this show in 2012 and have been hooked ever since. The hosts provide insightful analysis, great humor, and cover a wide range of topics that set them apart from other wrestling podcasts. This podcast has a strong and welcoming community that adds to the overall enjoyment of the show.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is their coverage of old promotions and material that you can't find anywhere else. Whether it's their Vintage Vaults where they review old WWF/WWE PPV events or their coverage of historic moments in wrestling history, they provide a treasure trove of historical coverage that any true pro wrestling fan will appreciate. They also have unique and engaging shows like Psychology is Dead and Military Industrial Suplex that bring fresh perspectives to the already crowded wrestling podcast scene.
Another highlight of this podcast is their live watch-alongs of Raw/Nitro episodes, List-A-Manias, B-C Countdowns, and PPV reviews. These shows are packed with comedy, insight, and opinions delivered in a great manner. The hosts are well-prepared for each episode and strike a perfect balance between entertainment and informative content.
While there may be some coverage of current day WWE product, what sets this podcast apart is its focus on historic coverage. They go above and beyond to bring back memories from decades past and offer unique perspectives on classic matches and storylines. This makes them stand out amidst the overcrowded market of wrestling podcasts.
In terms of negatives, there really aren't many to mention. Some listeners may prefer more coverage on current day WWE product, but considering there are numerous podcasts out there already covering it extensively, it's refreshing to have a podcast dedicated to historical analysis.
Overall, I highly recommend The Place to Be Nation Wrestling podcast to any wrestling fan looking for an entertaining, informative, and community-driven show. With their extensive back catalog and diverse range of topics, you're bound to find something that belongs in your podcast rotation. Give it a listen and get ready to become a part of the PTB Nation.
In this episode of Nation Invasion James and Jeremy Nichols cover Raw from October 29th and smackdown November 1st 2001. The summer of 2000 continues on, with Ryan and Cindy traveling to Dallas for Fully Loaded 2000 and a possible changing of the guard in the main event scene…or not. We start talking about how this is a unique card, with 3 mid-carders stepping up against established main eventers. The escalation of the Trish/Lita feud, with the Hardy Boys and T&A on the side. The return of Tazz and him facing the ultimate challenge of Al Snow. The beginning of the Triple H/Stephanie flower confusion and Kurt Angle attacking the Undertaker with a cartoonish wrench. Rikishi performing an insane splash from the top of the cage. The underwhelming Undertaker squash of Kurt Angle and a discussion on 2000 Undertaker. Two great main events, firmly establishing the Canadian Chrises as main event stars. We follow up with Raw the night after where we see the Big Show return…and turn heel within the hour. The continuing saga of Triple H/Stephanie receiving flowers and the continued build of Trish and Lita. Then head to Smackdown where more shenanigans continue to strain the Triple H/Stephanie marriage. All this and much more. Enjoy!

With This Ring #69: King of the Ring 2000 Ryan and Cindy roll on, looking at the 2000 edition of King of the Ring. In this edition we once again see a very stacked, although shoddily booked tournament along with some other big time matches. Among the topics we discuss: Lot of talk about the PPV and tournament in general and how only 3 matches in the entire 32 person tournament lasts past 5 minutes. How by rebooking only slightly, you could have a much better tournament with the same 8 guys, or subbing two guys from the Fatal 4-Way tag match. We look at the end of peak Too Cool. The quick appearance of Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) in WWF and somehow led to a Hardcore Evening Gown match between Brisco and Patterson. Kurt Angle being the proper choice for King and how it helped give me my AIM screen name. The main event being a good enough Sports Entertainment ga-ga match. The night after-Raw where Vince says he's going away to be a genetic jackhammer and how it was probably time to lower our McMahons for a little while. Mick Foley making his comeback and the WWF finally getting a fan friendly authority figure and what it leads to. All this and much more. Enjoy!

On Episode 53 of Chicken Salad join Ben Locke and Calum McDougall as they review Judgement Day 2002. In a period with quite possibly the most stacked roster in terms of talent you might be surprised that this show gets picked for salad. Unfortunately in 2002 you only have a couple of people who are in the prime of their career at this time as well as some people who are just collecting a paycheck, you combine this with some bad booking and matches and we have a perfect Salad show. As well as talking about the PPV Ben and Calum also lament the demise of Skype as its the last time using the service. Come for the concept but stay for Calum losing his train of thought because of a worldly it's Chicken Salad.
This month Scott & Greg take the train to back to 2005 for the inaugural TNA Hard Justice!
