With This Ring #67: Backlash 2000 Ryan and Cindy start the next WWF season much the same way we finished the old one, with the Rock feuding with Triple H and the McMahons. In this edition we go to Backlash, which had 5 singles matches, none of which were Terri vs. The Kat, putting it a tick above WrestleMania from the get go. Among the topics discussed: The start of the Vince Russo/Eric Bischoff tenure in WCW, and how that led to Mike Awesome, WCW wrestler, defending the ECW title against Tazz, WWF wrestler and how that was displayed on WWF TV. Chris Jericho's brief earliest WWF title run. The promise of Stone Cold Steve Austin. The chemistry between Eddie Guerrero and his Mamacita. We again talk about how misplaced X-Pac and Road Dogg are in the tag division. Dean Malenko and Scotty Too Hotty having a notable Light Heavyweight Title match. SHOWESTER MANIA RUNNING WILD BROTHER! The Rock and Triple H having their usual Sports Enterainment Spectacular in a match that seemed more WrestleMania main event than the WrestleMania main event. All this and much more. Enjoy!

Today's guest, actress, producer, and director Brooklyn Sudano joins me for a fun and revealing conversation about her struggle to identify her type. So, we spend the whole show trying to tease out her type. You'll hear the kind of conversation that can happen when someone is struggling to figure out their type and how phrasing specific questions can help in the typing process. Brooklyn Sudano is an American Actress, vocalist, producer and director, from Los Angeles, California. She can currently be seen in season 1 of the series Cruel Summer, Freeform's dramatic series chronicling the chilling story of a girl who vanishes and another who mysteriously takes over her life. She has also appeared in HBO's Ballers opposite Dwayne Johnson and Andy Garcia; Hulu's miniseries 11.22.63 opposite James Franco and Chris Cooper; and the Lifetime Original Movie, With This Ring opposite Regina Hall, Jill Scott, and Eve. Robyn Neilson, keynote speaker for Day One of Showcase 2020, is a trained nurse having worked as a clinical nurse, nurse educator, director of nursing and general manager of clinical services for St Luke's Nursing Service (Anglicare) Queensland. As Founder and Director of the Rescue1st charity, proudly sponsored by the Rural Doctors Association of Queensland Foundation, Robyn is the pioneer and innovator of the patented revolutionary system that creates Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB) from mobile phones (Patent Pending). Raised on grain, sheep and cattle properties and later owning family cattle stations in New South Wales and Central Queensland, Robyn developed an early passion for farm safety, encouraged by her mother as a nurse and father from the military. A passion that would eventually enable her to save the life of her neighbour Gayle Shann, following an horrific farming accident. Their story and Robyn's efforts as First Responder was recorded by the ABC's Australian Story. “With This Ring” is reportedly the most requested episode in the history of the program. Robyn shared the harrowing tale of saving her neighbour's life with us at Showcase 2020, and the social and psychological impact of that day. Her story and the advice she gave based on that experience left the room so moved and quiet, you could have heard a pin drop. Unsurprisingly, she was met with a standing ovation and importantly; began many important conversations about the need for healthcare professionals to take care of their mental health too. In episode 169 of the Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo will begin his coverage of Season 2 of the Salkind-produced “Superboy” television show and all the changes that brings. First, Mike will discuss quickly some of the changes made to the show behind the scenes as he gives a brief introduction to Season 2. The show made wholesale changes in front of the camera, including the title character and introduces Gerard Christopher as Superboy, taking over for John Haymes Newton. First, were going to be cordially invited to a familiar character with a new face. Lex Luthor is back in town and hes hearing wedding bells. And whos the blushing bride-to-be? Well, hes after Lana. Whose face does Luthor have now? If hes trying to hide from Superboy, why is he telling Superboy who he is? But practice your vows and repeat after me, “With This Ring, I Thee Kill”. And then what weve got here is the second part of a story started in the first officer. Superboy has to recover from what happened to him in the first episode. Hes hurt and his powers are week, and hes in costume at the hospital. Lex and Lana are still married, but the situation is going to resolve itself as we get “Lex Luthor: Sentenced to Death”. Next time: Coverage of Season 2 of “Superboy” continues with “Metallo” and “Young Dracula”.Feedback for this show can be sent to: manofscreen@gmail.comCheck out the homepage for the show. Now hes stealing military equipment, selling it o the highest bidder and striking women. Superboy better watch out because we are going to encounter a “Luthor Unleashed”.
