You know how, after they retire, some older guys go out and get, like, part-time jobs at the United Way or Ace Hardware or some shit? Not necessarily because they need the money — they just need to keep themselves busy, and maybe they like talking to people about paint colors and nail sizes and the best brands of epoxy spackle. Is that what Dana White is doing with boxing? Dana was at the big boxing match on Saturday, sitting at ringside next to Turki Alalshikh and Mark Wahlberg. After Terence Crawford whooped up on Canelo Alvarez, Dana wrapped the Ring Magazine belt around Crawford's waist. Aside from that, we're not totally sure what his job was there. So, as TKO reportedly plots its takeover of the sweet science, is Dana effectively using boxing like some guys join the country club? Does he want to fade out of the UFC, kick back and spend a few hours a day destroying the Muhammad Ali Act and looking for young, white, Irish fighters to promote? Cuz those are the vibes. Meanwhile, at Dana's real job, they put on an event the same night, where Diego Lopes knocked all kinds of blood out of Jean Silva's head during UFC Noche. Learn more about your ad choices. This episode of the Heartland Multifamily Show is a lot shorter than usual because I'm doing a reaction video. I'm reacting to Mark Shapiro, a real estate investor and influencer. (Not to be confused with Mark Shapiro of TKO or Mark Shapiro of Moneyball). Shapiro recently did a video making the claim that everything a woman does is meaningless to a man except being able to support him and grow with him. Watch this video to hear my take on it. You'll want to hear from my experience as a husband and a real estate investor.
In this episode, TKO and KBadd are joined by Jamboy and Danny Foxworth to discuss #Justice4Jussie, the start of the NFL and college football seasons and (more) fuckery in the nation's capital.
It was another light weekend in the ring, but we have the recap of the MVP show in Orlando, FL, including an upset in a wild junior middleweight bout. That and some interesting fight news are all part of the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast."Host T.J. Rives is back with insider Dan Rafael of his Fight Freaks Unite Substack and Newsletter. They have takes on it allStarting with the recap of Saturday's MVP/DAZN cardFlyweight Yankiel Rivera draw with Angelino Cordova, for vacant WBA interim title leads, but this fight a "stink bomb."Bigger was the junior middleweight battle with Abass Baraou and Yoenis Tellez, won by Baraou and he's now the WBA interim champ. The final round was also fantastic and the guys discuss it all. Also, lightweight Lucas Bahdi decisioned Roger Gutierrez and wins a WBA eliminator bout. And, from Friday night MVP/DAZN cardHeavily touted junior lightweight Jahmal Harvey, a 2024 U.S. Olympian, won his pro debut by first-round TKO. Dan has more on his potential. Next, some news:Canelo Alvarez posts photos of "Boots" Ennis in camp sparring with him. Interesting stuff to say the least. We discuss. Plus, Nevada State Athletic Commission selected the Canelo-Crawford referee and judges. Also, the guys also discuss the moving of the UNLV college footall game from Allegiant Stadium in Vegas and what they got financially from TKO Promotions to switch their game to this weekend. Moving on, one time heavyweight contender Ike Ibeabuchi, now 52 years old and out of the ring for 26 years (much of it spent in prison), returned to the ring Saturday night in Lagos, Nigeria. He stopped Idris Afinni (now 18-9-2) in the third round. Dan reminisces on Ibeabuchi. Also, speaking of the heavyweights, the Jarrell Miller-Michael Hunter heavyweight bout that was supposed to be September 11th in Las Vegas on a card during Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford fight week has been canceled. We go through the typical boxing shennanigans that include... 94 year old Don King being involved. And, we wrap up with former WBA junior lightweight titlist Hector Luis Garcia announcing his retirement earlier in the week. It's all part of the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast" and make sure to follow/subscribe to this feed on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!

Frank and Squeaks cover Paramount's massive week of moves after the Skydance merger, including a new UFC deal, a bigger theatrical slate, a push for family adventure movies, and fresh Star Trek film plans. They react to Greta Gerwig's Narnia set photos, talk through the young Rambo prequel casting, and share practical steps for Roblox safety that parents can use right now. Reviews land for Alien Earth and King of the Hill. Plus, Frank chats with Alex Austin about building a social platform out of a podcast app and what moderation and growth look like in 2025. Family adventure is a priority which fills a gap left by pure superhero focus and could broaden audience reach. Two Star Trek films are on deck, one tied to the Kelvin crew and one new project from Toby Haynes. Narnia starts with The Magician's Nephew, which makes the world feel fresh while connecting to classic imagery. The Rambo prequel raises a bigger question about when to create new action icons instead of reviving old ones. Roblox needs stronger safety guardrails, while parents can act now with private servers, whitelists, spending locks, and no random chats. Alien Earth blends practical effects with slow-burning world-building and earns a nine out of ten from both hosts. King of the Hill nails a modern continuation that honors the original and lands a perfect ten out of ten from Frank. Memorable quotes Squeaks on Paramount. Right now, they are not messing around Frank Family adventure feels like the missing lane, and it is a smart way to reach everyone Frank Alien Earth plays like Fargo in space, and I mean that as a compliment Frank, this new King of the Hill does not feel like a reboot, it feels like the next season Squeaks if you are not doing enough to protect kids other people will try, and that should be a wake-up call Call to action If you enjoy the show tap Follow or Subscribe in your podcast app. Leave a quick rating and review to help more geeks find us. Welcome back to Wrestling Tonight, your weekly look at everything happening across WWE, AEW, NJPW, TNA, and beyond. This week's episode covers one of the most loaded slates of the year as the summer calendar reaches a boiling point. We begin with a full preview of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where the world's biggest promotions collide once again on one of wrestling's most anticipated stages. Headlining the card, AEW World Champion Hangman Page defends against MJF in a long-awaited rematch, while AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada puts his title on the line against Swerve Strickland. The show also features the reunion of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage as they team for the first time in over 14 years, Toni Storm defending the AEW Women's World Championship against Athena, and Zack Sabre Jr. meeting Nigel McGuinness for the IWGP World Championship. Kyle Fletcher defends the TNT title against Hiromu Takahashi, Mercedes Moné faces Persephone, Alex Windsor, and a Stardom representative in a TBS Championship Four-Way, and a stacked lights-out steel cage match pits Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, and Hiroshi Tanahashi in his London farewell against Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd, and The Young Bucks. From there, we turn to WWE's future with NXT Heatwave. Oba Femi is set to defend the NXT Championship against either Trick Williams or Je'Von Evans, while Hank Walker and Tank Ledger put the NXT Tag Team titles on the line against DarkState. Jacy Jayne defends the TNA Knockouts World Championship in a triple threat against Masha Slamovich and Ash by Elegance, and Jordynne Grace collides with Blake Monroe. A number one contender's match for the NXT Women's Championship will also take place featuring Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice. Over in TNA, Emergence 2025 delivered a card full of major results. Trick Williams retained the World Championship against Moose in a match that had the Baltimore crowd split but firmly cemented Williams as TNA's top babyface. The Hardys retained the World Tag Team titles against The Rascalz in one of the night's highlights, Leon Slater held onto the X-Division Championship against Cedric Alexander, and Mike Santana defeated Sami Callihan in a Baltimore Street Fight that may have marked Callihan's farewell. While technical issues marred the preshow, the main event and key title bouts gave TNA momentum heading into Bound for Glory. In Mexico, Triplemanía marked the official beginning of WWE and AAA's working relationship. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Nick Khan stood alongside AAA leadership to emphasize collaboration. On the card, Omos won the Copa Bardahl, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. claimed the Latin American title, and Psycho Clown and Pagano captured the AAA Tag Team Championship. Judgment Day scored a win in trios action, Flammer retained the Reina de Reinas Championship, and in the main event, El Hijo del Vikingo retained the AAA Mega Championship in a four-way over Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano, with AJ Styles making a shocking run-in to help seal the finish. The event had the production, presentation, and pacing of a WWE show, sparking debate about AAA's evolving identity under this partnership. On the business side, TKO announced that UFC will end its traditional pay-per-view model beginning in January 2026 under a $7.7 billion, seven-year deal with Paramount Plus and CBS. WWE also secured a five-year, $1.6 billion agreement with ESPN, moving Premium Live Events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble to ESPN's new streaming service. At the same time, reports revealed WWE holds an option to purchase TNA and a right of first refusal should the company seek another buyer, further linking the two promotions' futures. Finally, NJPW's G1 Climax 35 has reached its conclusion. Konosuke Takeshita defeated EVIL in the final at Ariake Arena, fighting through an injured knee and overcoming House of Torture interference to secure his first G1 victory. Along the way, Takeshita shocked Zack Sabre Jr. in the semifinals, setting the stage for their Wrestle Kingdom clash, where he will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. With this win, Takeshita declared himself “The Alpha,” signaling his rise as NJPW's new international ace. Episode 47! Trish and Sarah begin with a discussion of Brock Lesnar's reappearance in WWE, and what this and their media strategy says about TKO's workplace culture. Then two huge new deals for TKO- WWE's PLEs move to ESPN (29:40) and UFC heads to Paramount+ (44:37). How are these deals different for TKO than their previous ones? Next, could TNA potentially be sold and agree to a move to Wednesdays? Can they compete with AEW? Who are the potential winners and losers?
