Pete Alonso's return to Citi Field could turn into an unforgettable scene, with Evan Roberts predicting Mets fans may treat the former franchise star like the home-team hero. Evan compares Alonso's looming reception to Eddie Giacomin's legendary Rangers return and debates whether the Mets should even raise the home run apple if Alonso reaches a milestone. Shaun Morash is in for Tiki Barber alongside Evan Roberts as the Geno Smith versus Jaxson Dart argument heats up again, including whether the Jets have any realistic path to eight wins. Plus, the NFL officially kills the Pro Bowl games, the guys dream up a wild Yankees-Mets tripleheader, and a ridiculous Babe Ruth conspiracy takes over Cinco de Five.

Zazz is an wonderful actress, singer, and songwriter. She's performed in theater, concert and cabaret venues. She's appeared on Late Night with Stephen Colbert and in the HBO documentary Master Class with Bobby McFerrin, and she's toured with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Here's how she came to be a guest. I first came across Zazz when I interviewed Will Healy, a fabulous musician, about a year ago. One of the works that he gave me for the Songfest was a Zoom video by his group Shouthouse and it featured a terrific singer. I told him that I really liked the video, particularly the singer. And he told me that the singer was Zazz. And then some months later I interviewed the incredible rapper Dizzy SenZe on the show. She also performed with Shouthouse and she sent me the same video, the one with Zazz singing. I knew that I had to have her on the show and she introduced us. My featured song is my reimagined version of “The 'In' Crowd”. It's from the album PGS 7 by my band Project Grand Slam. Brandon Sedloff and Bill McMorrow trace the evolution of Kennedy Wilson from a $57,000 real estate auction company in 1988 to a global investment firm managing nearly $38 billion in assets. McMorrow shares how a series of pivotal relationships, from early banking mentors to partnerships with George Graziadio and Fairfax Financial's Prem Watsa, shaped the firm's trajectory across four decades of real estate cycles. The conversation on The Distribution reveals how McMorrow identified opportunities in Japan during the 1990s, Ireland and the UK following the Great Recession, and multifamily housing markets when regional banks retreated in 2023. They discuss: - Why McMorrow focuses exclusively on housing across the US, Ireland, and the UK after owning every asset type - How a half-hour conversation at a Berkshire Hathaway meeting led to $20 billion in joint ventures over sixteen years - The discipline of saying yes to start the journey, even when the path forward isn't clear - Why narrowing focus and tuning out noise matters more than ever in today's information-saturated environment - What McMorrow learned from working on commercial fishing boats, in a slaughterhouse, and growing up in a family of nine kids This episode offers insight for investors navigating uncertainty, building long-term institutional relationships, and recognizing contrarian opportunities when markets feel murky. INNER VOICE — A Heartfelt Chat with Dr. Foojan Zeine & Meg Tuohey, E467. This heartfelt conversation with psychologist, relationship expert, author, and marriage repair innovator Meg Tuohey explores the power of the INNER VOICE, inner wisdom, intuition, loneliness, self-trust, authentic living, relationships, personal growth, and emotional connection. Meg brings decades of clinical experience helping thousands of women and couples reconnect with themselves, understand their inner world, and navigate fractured relationships, identity, and life transitions. Her evidence-based, neurodivergent-affirming approach combines psychological rigor with compassion while honoring women's agency and inner authority. Her podcast, Wisdom Stripes, has reached more than 1.8 million lifetime downloads and ranked among the Top 15 Education podcasts in the United States. Her first book, HeartPrint, expands her mission of helping women create lives grounded in meaning, resilience, wisdom, and self-trust. MODERN LONELINESS & THE SOCIAL PARADOX Meg and Dr. Foojan Zeine explore the paradox of increasing loneliness despite a growing human population. They question whether loneliness may be more prevalent in fragmented Western societies compared with Eastern communities with stronger family structures. They discuss how modern life, distance from nature, individualism, and survival pressures can disconnect people from their authentic, community-based selves. CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES ON LONELINESS Dr. Foojan Zeine discusses how culture influences loneliness. Even in Eastern cultures with strong family and community ties, people may feel lonely when their internal experiences do not match external expectations. Meg offers a broader perspective, suggesting loneliness can become a catalyst for human growth, evolution, self-discovery, and transformation. They explore the strengths and challenges of Eastern and Western approaches to belonging and connection. LONELINESS, LIFE TRANSITIONS & INNER WISDOM Meg discusses why we need to explore challenges such as loneliness rather than simply avoid them, emphasizing the balance between healthy independence and enmeshment. Dr. Foojan Zeine shares an example of a client experiencing loneliness during major life transitions, including aging parents and children leaving for college. Meg explains the central ideas behind HeartPrint: To Unlock Wisdom, which explores building a relationship with your INNER VOICE and inner wisdom. Her “heart print” concept shows how every person has a unique expression of identity, values, purpose, and life experience, even though we share the same DNA. CULTURAL LEADERSHIP & THE JOURNEY TO WISDOM Meg describes her mission to be a lighthouse and container for people exploring their true selves and bridging the gap between who they are and how they live. She shares how seeking wisdom from elders inspired her own journey toward eldership and cultural leadership. Meg discusses supporting women in creating cultural change, trusting their inner authority, and developing greater self-awareness and wisdom. Dr. Foojan Zeine reflects on intuitive wisdom and self-discipline, drawing parallels to Meg's journey of finding internal guidance. INTERNAL ALIGNMENT & FLOW STATES Meg and Dr. Foojan Zeine explore internal alignment, self-attunement, intuition, inner wisdom, and FLOW STATES. Meg emphasizes becoming attuned to your inner voice and aiming for approximately 80% coherence in daily life rather than perfection. She encourages people to remember moments of flow, presence, ease, connection, and deep alignment, then gradually access those qualities in everyday life. Dr. Foojan Zeine shares that finding balance can involve letting go of control, trusting, and allowing internal and external experiences to connect naturally. SELF-ATTUNEMENT, FLOW & SELF-TRUST The conversation concludes with a powerful reminder that developing a relationship with yourself is foundational to developing healthy relationships with others. Meg encourages listeners to cultivate self-attunement, intuition, emotional awareness, authenticity, inner wisdom, and self-trust. Through HeartPrint and the character Elizabeth, Meg offers a role-modeled approach to exploring the relationship between the inner world and outer life. This heartfelt conversation with Meg Tuohey and Dr. Foojan Zeine invites you to listen more deeply to your INNER VOICE, understand loneliness differently, reconnect with your authentic self, and discover the wisdom already within you. The sermon examines John chapter six to illustrate the danger of seeking physical blessings over spiritual truth. It contrasts a crowd that abandoned Jesus after He taught difficult doctrines with the twelve disciples who remained committed to His words of eternal life. The preacher emphasizes that true salvation requires personal faith in Christ rather than reliance on rituals, signs, or material provision. By addressing theological errors such as baptismal regeneration and predestination, the message warns against superficial religion and calls for a steadfast, doctrinally sound commitment to Jesus. Ultimately, it challenges listeners to answer the question of whether they will follow Christ despite the offense of His truth.

Darren Grimes and Graham Dunlop launch their new Grimoire platform, a global book club built around 250 plus professionally narrated audiobooks, lunar-cycle book picks, and community participation. They also demo a new online Pegs and Jokers game, whil e walking through the shelves of the library and explaining how free access, founder memberships, and the inner sanctum work. https://pegsandjokers.ca/ https://www.skool.com/the-secret-teachings-book-club-1875   In this episode, Darren and Graham cover the launch setup, the membership model, and the structure of the new book club. They also preview the first book of the month, discuss how the shelves are organized, and share the thinking behind the game and the community features. Key topics In this episode: the Grimoire launches with more than 250 audiobooks, with the library expected to grow to around 260 soon. The free book of the month is The Secret Teachings of All Ages in an abridged edition, chosen because starting with the full 36 hour version would be too much for most listeners. Founder keeper and monthly initiate memberships unlock the full library, while the free tier gives access to the monthly featured book and community activity. The book club is organized around lunar cycles, with a new moon monthly pick and a full moon live read, creating a rhythm of one book per moon month. The community model includes chapter check-ins, passage discussions, Friday tangents, and a final live book council in the last week of each book month. Darren and Graham describe the inner sanctum as a deeper, earned area of the platform, accessible through participation rather than payment alone. The shelves span Hermetica and occult, theosophy, mysticism east and west, Atlantis and Fortiana, mind and prosperity, weird fiction, philosophy and classics, magic, and power and propaganda. They highlight standout titles such as The Purple Cloud, The Machine Stops, Atlantis by Ignatius Donnelly, The Book of Thoth, Psychic Self-Defense, The Power of Positive Thinking, and The Road to Serfdom. Graham demos Pegs and Jokers, explaining how the online version works, how the cards move pieces, and why it is meant to be played with friends and family across locations. They mention the platform is still being cleaned up and reorganized, including moving some books between shelves and adding PDFs and other support material.   Become a Lord or Lady with 1k donations over time. I'm psyched to welcome Easy Honey to Roadcase for Part 3 of my interviews from Lollapalooza which took place in the heart of Chicago a few weekends ago. I sat down with the full band and it was really great to get to know this close-knit group of friends (and brothers)! Easy Honey is Selby Austin, Webster Austin, Darby McGlone and Charlie Holt, and these guys have been absolutely crushing it recently with their Surf Tour on the back of their latest EP, Plaid.Easy Honey's vibe is reflective of their easy-breezy rock vibe and they're as chill as you would expect. Originally from Eastern Tennessee with Selby and Darby forming an instant connection in college, they added the two remaining members and relocated to Charleston, SC — and hence their surf-rock and connection to community were officially solidified. Prolific writers, Easy Honey has a deep and unmistakable love for the music, and that authenticity translates to an inclusive and fun-loving onstage vibe which has drawn in fans as they continue to gain popularity.I'm excited to share this special episode with you!!  Don't forget to follow Roadcase and you can visit Roadcase on Instagram, @roadcasepod!! =======================================Chapters:00:00 - Episode Intro with Host Josh Rosenberg03:31 - Introductions at Lolla and first-time festival memories04:36 - Crowd energy, opening the day, and the band's chill reputation05:43 - Day-one fans and the emotional rush of seeing the gates open07:17 - The Oahu skate park show and how it came together09:04 - Surfing, Charleston roots, and playing in Hawaii and California09:35 - Supporting the Runarounds and the band-meta connection11:14 - Meeting Jackson Browne and why he lived up to the hype13:16 - How Easy Honey started in college in Sewanee, Tennessee14:52 - The “stole Charlie” story and the real version of how the lineup formed15:37 - Why Sewanee's isolation pushed people toward music, drinking, and hanging out19:08 - Moving to Charleston and why the city fit the band's vibe21:41 - The Jimmy Buffett toilet story and a funny family connection23:43 - How the “Traffic Jam” performance idea was born from beach traffic25:52 - Why the band keeps ideas simple, repeatable, and authentic instead of forcing history to repeat26:58 - What Charlie listened to growing up and the metal influence at home27:53 - Carter Vail, tour friendships, and the social side of being on the road29:31 - Why the band released a 5-song EP instead of a full album30:38 - Recording in remote Marble, Colorado and building songs as a package31:41 - How the band's sound has evolved from total spontaneity to more intention and structure33:03 - Who writes lyrics, why writing can get harder, and staying honest in the room34:04 - Surf tour plans, more music, and a return to Chicago later this year34:56 - Episode Wrap-up with Host Josh Rosenberg=======================================For more information on Roadcase:https://linktr.ee/roadcasepod and https://www.roadcasepod.comOr contact Roadcase by email:  info@roadcasepod.comRoadcase theme music:  "Eugene (Instrumental)" by Waltzer

Political Crowd-Out: Record Spending Squeezes Local Advertisers

Local TV can feel like the safest bet for reach, until election season turns the ad break into a bidding war. In this Leading Local Insights Podcast, joined by an exceptional panel of political experts, we explore political crowd-out — when political spending pushes local advertisers out of TV inventory — and what it means for pricing, availability and where those ad dollars go next. If you are planning around political advertising, broadcast inventory constraints, or local media strategy, this conversation is built for you. We speak with Todd Wiseman, founder of Riptide Creative and Advertising and a columnist for TV News Check. With 25 years in media, Todd has managed more than 4,000 campaigns and generated over $500 million in advertising revenue. He shares a firsthand perspective on why local TV stations can feel like "ghost towns" during political cycles and what that means for local advertisers and sellers. John Link, SVP of Data at AdImpact, puts the political spending surge into perspective, explaining how record-setting dollars can become highly concentrated in a small number of states and markets, creating very different inventory pressures from one market to the next. From BIA, Senan Mele, VP of Forecasting, examines what BIA's data shows about the changing revenue mix during election years, including how core commercial TV revenue can decline even as non-political advertising spending grows across the broader local media market. We also discuss the Supreme Court's NRSC v. FEC decision and its potential implications for coordinated political spending and demand for lowest-unit-rate inventory, and where displaced dollars can go, including CTV/OTT, digital video and social video. Then we punt around the question: when the political season ends, will those dollars return to traditional TV, or has the media mix changed for good?

Two hours after release, we fixed and swapped the file, but your device may not have updated if it auto-downloaded on release. In 216 BC, at a place called Cannae, Rome lost 50,000 men in a single afternoon. Along with 80 senators, one of the two sitting consuls, both quaestors, and 29 military tribunes, all gone in the space of a few hours.Any monarchy in that position sues for peace. Any dictatorship reorganizes. Any modern government panics. Rome refused to even send an ambassador. They elected new magistrates, raised new legions (some made up of slaves offered their freedom), and the assemblies kept meeting. The tribunes kept using their veto. And the whole thing just kept running. That wasn't toughness. It was engineering. The Roman Republic wasn't a democracy — it was a machine specifically built to survive catastrophic failure at any single point. Two consuls with veto power over each other. Ten tribunes with veto power over almost anything. A Senate that couldn't legislate. Assemblies that could. Unwritten customs (mos maiorum) with more binding force than written law. Patron-client networks that ran in parallel to the formal state. Every layer had a backup. When one failed, three others held. That system ran for nearly 500 years. Then, over about a century, the layers weakened one at a time, not because the Romans got dumber, but because the pressures grew faster than the system could adapt. This is Episode 1 of "The Fall of the Roman Republic" series. It's the foundation you need before you can watch the machine break in every subsequent episode. Deep dive into why comparing a practice to a regular-season game is still a losing argument no matter which Bears game you pick PFF second-half passing grades that quietly destroy the "Caleb broke out / Love fell off" narrative Liam Cohen's perfect read on the endless Caleb Williams media flood while the 13-4 Jaguars get ignored Ben Johnson's "we're the top regression candidate" spin and the actual luck stats (fumble recovery, interception rate, one-score games) that explain last year's 11 wins Bonus roast of the CHGO "we have a superstar quarterback" cry-tweet This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! In this episode:Why we imitate the visible “tree” without seeing the seeds, sacrifices, and choices that produced itHow individual values spread through imitation until they become culture, institutions, and systemsWhy Jesus says not to pull the weeds—and what this reveals about the limits of human judgmentHow certainty, the crowd, and our unexamined lenses can make us believe we see the whole fieldWhy humility means recognizing that seeing something clearly does not mean seeing everythingThe Parable of the Weeds raises an unsettling question: If we can see evil growing, why not simply pull it out? This episode follows the seed from the individual outward, exploring how what we become becomes visible, gets imitated, and eventually shapes cultures and systems. Through Jesus, Jung, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, psychology, and the biblical image of the knowledge of good and evil, we examine why human beings are so confident in judging the entire field when we are standing inside it ourselves. We may recognize wheat and weeds, truth and deception, good and evil—but wisdom requires understanding the limits of what we can see, examining the lens through which we see it, and asking what we are imitating, cultivating, and passing on to others.Elevate How You Navigate with Len & a free call https://elevatehowyounavigate.comMAYU Water, use "autism" for 10% off at https://mayuwater.comDaylight Computer Company, use "autism" for $50 off at https://buy.daylightcomputer.com/autismDaylight Kids (!!!) https://kids.daylightcomputer.com/autism ‪Chroma Light Devices, use "autism" for 10% discount at https://getchroma.co/?ref=autism00:00 From Seed to System; What Happens When Becoming Spreads?01:54 We Imitate Trees, Not Seeds; What Success Hides03:52 From Person to Culture; How Values Become Systems04:43 Nietzsche & Kierkegaard; Where Did Your Values Come From?06:33 The Parable of the Weeds; Why Does God Allow Evil to Grow?07:16 Why Not Pull the Weeds?; The Limits of Human Judgment10:00 Everyone Thinks They Are the Wheat; The Danger of Certainty13:03 Humility; Seeing Something Doesn't Mean Seeing Everything14:14 The Knowledge of Good & Evil; Who Gets to Administer the Field?16:43 The Crowd; Confidence Is Not the Same as Truth18:06 Imitation, Institutions & How Seeds Survive Generations19:11 Final Reflections; What Are You Imitating & Becoming?21:48 MAYU Water, Daylight, Chroma & Len ArcuriX: https://x.com/rps47586YT: https://www.youtube.com/@FromTheSpectrumemail: info.fromthespectrum@gmail.com

Subscribe to https://www.rfemedia.com/ for exclusive content and updates. It's been about a 8 months since I have done any sort of military analysis on my platform because it not exactly the best mental health exercise and two and half years of posting everyday was exhausting, but times have changed. I'm getting back into it because things are escalating and the dynamics of modern warfare are changing faster than a lot of people, definitely military commanders in the Pentagon, can keep up with. Also, other conflicts are poised to pop off across the globe. There is also a fascinating lack of acceptance that warfare has been democratized against Imperial military elements like carrier strike groups and large, hard-site military bases, which can now be threatened across vast distances by relatively simple and cheap munitions. Also we really don't have those because our defense industrial base is about making money, not about force-readiness. So the pentagon is now crowd sourcing to troops for innovative ideas to regain the initiative against Iran while being actively hamstrung by Data center vulnerability in the Gulf. Its tricky. Some Americans may cheer on Iran blowing up Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia and Palantir tech targets in Saudi Arabia and other GCC states due to their massive unpopularity here at home. Some people might get ideas. The information dimensions of this conflict are uncontrollable too so check out our Colonial Outcasts live stream episode about all of this tonight at 5pm EST on YouTube or our primary Platform, Substack. Today we start with the revelation that Nikki Glaser did not send Chad $500 for his special. Shocking I know! Cardiff did some great investigating and proved that once again Chad has made up a lie that wouldn't have made him look good even if it were true.  Artie Fletcher's standup set is getting more and more bizarre. Crowd work for your DVD special isn't a good idea but local references to cater to the audience in front of you might be even worse. KC Day was a good sport putting together the Trek Off for Vinnie Paulino's consequence and he made a heart warming tribute song for us. Jerry Banfield made every mistake possible with the love of his life and he's finally ready to talk about where it all went wrong. Unfortunately he learned to stop giving us all of the details on his vlog. Good takeaway but not good for WATP. Kevin Brennan did one of the craziest things I've ever seen - he watched Adam Busch acting on a sitcom with Jon Lovitz, Danny Trejo, Cheri Oteri, etc. and decided that it proves Adam didn't get paid and that he's a failed actor. Bill Burr had Julian Casablancas, the lead singer from the Strokes on his show and he couldn't be been less prepared. It's awkward and embarrassing. Opie had Tony P cohost with him on Monday morning and shuts down any chance Tony had to promote his comedy. When Ron joins on Tuesday he tries once again to hit the goal and the reason he needs $100 this time is insane! Megan and Annie join us for a round of “Is It Gay?” and “Opie or Burr.” We get caught up on Spotify comments, reviews, and your voicemails.  Adam is opening for Roger Daltrey: https://www.yaamava.com/entertainment/roger-daltrey Tickets to see us live in Detroit: http://watplive.com/ WATP candy available now: https://www.leiselandfriendsgourmet.com/ Support us, get bonus episodes, and watch live every Saturday and Wednesday: http://bit.ly/watp-patreon https://watp.supercast.tech/ Watch the episode here: https://youtube.com/live/N0htWM1Szd4  Learn more about your ad choices. Today should have been a victory for border security as Temporary Protected Status expired for hundreds of thousands of Haitians. Instead, the Trump administration announced that it is speeding up asylum processing. We want less immigration. Here's why: An Islamist terror attack at a Berlin Pride event killed one, and it was carried out by a man whose family immigrated to the country. The attack exposes a contradiction many politicians refuse to acknowledge: The same activists championing open borders are now confronting violence from an ideology that rejects their values. Donald Trump proved once again he's the funniest president we've ever had. One joke sent CNN and the outrage machine into overdrive. The Left's outrage over Dylan Mulvaney exposes what I see as the biggest hypocrisy in its gender ideology. Seattle's latest shooting is exposing the insanity of modern democratic socialism. Mayor Katie Wilson deactivated city security cameras because she's worried about immigration enforcement. Now it's ordinary Americans who end up living with the consequences.
