Ryan and Cindy start their fifth year of podcasting with a very…lackluster Pay Per View showing as we go down hill on the back half of 1999. We go to Charlotte or in one case Hell, for the WWF's September PPV. Among the many topics: The return of Vince McMahon proving that in 1999 gone forever meant approximately 7 weeks. Vince winning the World title as the push Triple H as hard as possible campaign shows no signs of slowing down. The referees unionizing and going on strike, for unsafe working condition, forcing SCAB referees. Steve Blackman turning his murderous rage to Val Venis and then attempting to go after a conspicuous buxom EMT. D-Lo Brown getting a measure of revenge on Sexual Chocolate. Jeff Jarrett and Chyna having a lackluster match, that luckily gets some personality infused by Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah. The New Age Outlaws reunite because…reasons? A recap of the epic Big Boss Man/Al Snow feud and the Kennel From Hell that, well IYKYK and if not I recommend the Mick Foley/Kevin Kelly commentary from DVD. The sudden exit of Ken Shamrock from the WWF and the shock that he never came back for even a cameo. Chris Jericho's WWF PPV debut in a good match with X-Pac that suffers from very late crowd heat. The British Bulldog's back and bigger than ever! We also talk about the previous Smackdown featuring 5 (!) Triple H matches. The Six-Pack match kind of just happening for no reason, but it being kind of fun I guess The night after featuring the infamous This Is Your Life Rock featuring Yurple, Mr. Rocko, and the Rock's highschool girlfriend offering him a nice piece of that Poontang Pie! Enjoy!

Welcome to Wrestling Recommendations! Your hosts Eddy and Travis dive in with a deep retrospective and watch along to some of their favorite wrestling matches. Chosen at random by the Wheel of Destiny! This week's episode features a Last Man Standing Match, as Triple H takes on Chris Jericho in a bloddy battle from Fully Loaded 2000. With this show being considered the best WWF PPV in the year 2000. Listen and watch along, as they continue to bring you Wrestling Recommendations!
Well, here it is, the last WWF PPV of 1993. "Big Meaty Cool" loved this show as a 14 year-old mark in 1993, but does it hold up to his snarky scrutiny 31 years later? Listen on to find out! The accompanying beer (Transmission, a 6.7% IPA from NORTH Brewing Co.) held up very well, though! Follow the show: @onemansmeatpod on Twitter.
In this episode, we have more retro beer ratings, this time from Unforgiven 2001 which was the first post-9/11 WWF PPV. Dylan and Chad try to discuss a little bit of March Madness but Joe shuts it down. The weekly recap is highlighted by Raw that had incredible promos and the match of the week. Don't adjust your browsers, this is VERY Special Holiday Edition of the Wrestling Memory Grenade! In light of the NEW YEAR (Happy 2021!) and it being Rumble season and all, the boys from the Grenade are gifting everyone a very special ROYAL RUMBLE WATCH-ALONG edition of the Grenade this week with the 1996 WWF Royal Rumble PPV from the WWE Network! In reality, we've managed to track down episodes of NWA TV for the month of September 1989 that were thought to be missing forever up until now, including an episode of the NWA Main Event and a complete 2-Hour edition of NWA World Championship Wrestling for Sept. 9, but more on that next week when we resume the NWA '89 Timeline… While we take an extra week to view and take notes on the newly found NWA footage, we figured this special 20th episode of the Podcast would be a great time to bring all of our WrestleCopia brand projects together under one umbrella for one week only. Not only does Royal Rumble '96 coincide with our current discussions over at the weekly Monday Warfare Podcast (follow us on Twitter @MondayWarfare) where we break down and discuss the entire history of the Monday Night War, but it also gives everyone just a small taste of what we have to offer as part of our Watch-Along Series over at Patreon.com/WrestleCopia Right now you can subscribe to our All-Access Tier for ONLY $5 over at Patreon.com/WrestleCopia and on top of several other benefits that tier also includes our entire library in our WATCH-ALONG SERIES which includes Coliseum Video Releases, Saturday Night's Main Event, Clash of the Champions, and of course all other WCW and WWF PPV's that take place throughout the course of the Monday Night War. They're great complementary pieces that you can Watch OR Listen along to as you follow the Monday Warfare show. All of that plus more random Watch-Alongs are going up all the time! Some of the recent Watch-Along events we've posted over at our Patreon account include the WWF's Survivor Series '95 and In Your House Dec. 95 PPVs, and on the WCW side most recently added include Halloween Havoc, World War 3, and Starrcade '95, with Clash of the Champions January '96 dropping soon! But for this week we decided to give everyone a taste of our Watch-Along series by bringing the Royal Rumble to our flagship show, the Grenade.Follow us on Twitter @RasslinGrenade , home of the FREE PRIZE GIVEAWAY!Visit our Podcast Network https://wrestlecopia.com What to expect in this episode??? We hear from the returning Jake Roberts, the debuting Vader, plus HHH battles Duke “The Dumpster” Droese to determine who enters the Rumble match at #1 and who will get the coveted #30 spot! We go back and watch a classic WWF Ppv. Follow with us. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/d-mill/support
Scott, Jay & Jake are in studio and we'd say this one is off the rails but the rails are NOWHERE IN SIGHT! The trio chats about the 50 hours of classic Colosseum Home Video that's been added to the WWE Network and Kane's new mayoral-ship before diving into this week in WWE programming including a chat about which is a better show, Raw or SD and if so, why? Plus Jake rambles on about NXT while Jay curses out Val Venis on Facebook and Scott brags about all the hours he spent calling the old WWF PPV hotline. All that plus Jay, Jonny & Dale sit down at SDCC with former WWE/Current Lucha Underground star PJ BLACK (aka Justin Gabriel) for an incredibly open and honest conversation! We celebrate finishing up the Undertaker's first 3 years with our biggest episode yet of Talking Taker! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their journey through every PPV match of the Dead Man's career as they cover Taker leading the All Americans against Yokozuna and the Foreign Fanatics at Survivor Series 1993. Along the way we'll talk about the Steiners in WWF, the moment Lex Luger's push died in real time, why on earth we're supposed to hate the Helsinki Hellraiser, and we'll pay tribute one last time to Bobby "The Brain" Heenan at his final WWF PPV appearance. Finally we'll look back at the best and worst of the first 10 matches we've covered and how the quickly the Undertaker character has evolved in just 3 years. Taker Easy!
A touching tribute to Bobby "the Brain" Heenan kicks off a three hour breakdown of all things WWF in September/October 1999. Vince McMahon had just won the WWF Championship, Triple H had just gotten his first world title win too, and now the Undertaker and Austin are out of the main event. Bulldog is back just a few months after Owen passed away, the refs are on strike, Jericho and Dudleyz are making their WWF PPV debuts, the ladies are having a hardcore match, and you'll learn what Vince thought about the Kennel in a Cell! We touch on the thinking behind the inferno match, the jacked up security guy we all remember, BB the EMT, Beaver Cleavage, Thrasher as DTK, Droz's injury, how D'Lo was never the same, the creation of SmackDown, Gorilla Monsoon's passing, Lawler running for mayor, and the famous "This Is Your Life" segment. Enjoy this breakdown of Vince Russo's last PPV in the WWF, Unforgiven 1999! Also listen for details of how to earn bonus shows on everything from SummerSlam 1991 to the 1992 Royal Rumble! Part II of our look back at the WWF Wrestling Classic, the first WWF PPV ever! On this episode we cover the semifinals and the finals which feature some of the most bizarre events that we have ever seen including a match with NO REFEREE where JYD takes the initiative and counts his own 3!? What the hell!? Plus, we talk Piper vs. Hogan and their history as well as their match here, the VERY strange booking of the Macho Man Randy Savage, Jesse Ventura's ability to leave his post whenever he wants, and MUCH MORE!
With the latest WWE Summerslam installment upon us, The Lapsed Fan looks back at one of the most stacked, yet confounding summer spectaculars in history. The 1993 Summerslam featured the culmination of the skyrocket push of Lex Luger as an All-American crusader looking to take the belt off Yokozuna, who had just sent Hulk Hogan packing from the WWF.The Lapsed Fan co-chairmen Jack Encarnacao and JP Sarro chop it all up in a sizzling Slam review, including:- Why Shawn Michaels v. Mr. Perfect is one of the most underwhelming WWF PPV matches ever- A strained attempt at making sense of Lex Luger winning via count out instead of winning the strap and then celebrating like he struck gold- Owen Hart's befuddling wardrobe, including a necktie and leather pants- The debut of Joe Fowler as an announcer fresh off Mean Gene's departure, and the immediate regret of all involved- One of the most ingenious gags Bobby Heenan has ever pulled off in commentary, as he whips out the Brain Scan on a replay of IRS' victory over the 123 Kid.- Who would you rather watch: Giant Gonzalez or Great Khali?- Ludvig Borga's PPV debut, and his punch-heavy offense- Jimmy Del Ray's incongruous flying abilityThat and so much more. Get Lapsed for a Summerslam that had more riding on it than few ever, by downloading the latest edition here.

This was the final WWF PPV that occured when WCW still existed. Sooo much covered here. 2 hours and its only PART 1!
