Sean Dyche was furious with referee Rob Jones after Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 at home in the Premier League by Manchester City. We reflect on the match and the key incidents as Forest played well at the City Ground. We'll also preview the upcoming game against Everton in full and react to the latest transfer news as Arnauld Kalimuendo and James McAtee are linked with moves away with the January transfer window on the horizon. Matt Davies is joined by Greg Mitchell, Mikey Clarke and Mark Sutherns. #nffc #nottinghamforest
It was a hard-fought match, and one that many Forest fans (and the Forest manager) felt was overshadowed by the performance of referee Rob Jones - rather than playing against ten men, the Reds were up against 12 of them. The match was lively, but most of the action was in the second half, which started when Rúben Días somehow escaped a second booking for bringing down Igor Jesus. City took full advantage of that reprieve through Tijani Reijnders, before a fine counter-attacking equaliser finished off by Omari Hutchinson. The winning goal came late on, as the officials waved away various episodes of wrestling in the box, one of which prevented Morgan Gibbs-White from blocking Rayan Cherki's effort. Despite the victory, you could see that the visitors had put everything into this one, and several players from both teams fell to the ground at full-time. In this report, Rich and Baz embark on an unexpectedly ranty diatribe against the injustice of it all. We'll be back with a tribute to John Robertson very soon, and a report when Everton come to visit on Tuesday - I think - does anyone actually know what day it is? Coach Rob Jones: Leading Cedarville Hoops With Purpose and PassionBasketball season is back in full swing at Cedarville, and the Yellow Jackets are charging into year two under Head Coach Rob Jones. With a season of experience already under his belt, Coach Jones is building more than just a competitive team — he's shaping a culture rooted in faith, grit, and brotherhood. In this episode of the Cedarville Stories podcast, Coach Jones reflects on the journey that brought him here — from street ball in Missouri to coaching stints at Richmond and Liberty. His coaching resume is impressive, but it's his heart for mentoring young men that truly stands out.The story of his arrival is still something out of a basketball movie — phone calls flying, quick interviews, and a campus visit just days apart. Even amidst the whirlwind interview process, he and his wife, Kristina, were sensing that Cedarville was exactly where God wanted them to be. What sealed the deal was the people and purpose they found on campus. Now well into his second season, Coach Jones is settling into the rhythm of Yellow Jacket basketball. His focus? Building a program that competes fiercely while honoring Christ in every practice, game, and huddle. He's got a roster of young talent and is determined to teach each student the kind of lessons that outlast the final buzzer — lessons about discipline, spiritual growth, and becoming men of character.Coach Jones brings the fire, the faith, and a game plan that goes far beyond wins and losses. And as the Yellow Jackets hit the court this season, one thing's clear — Cedarville basketball is in good hands.https://share.transistor.fm/s/50c8cd71https://youtu.be/v4eptp26CMk
Rob Jones is joined by Jacqui Oatley, Martin Samuel and Julien Laurens to reflect on the weekend's sporting action. We begin by looking at England's unbeaten World Cup qualification. But is Jacqui right to think that, while praise is due, Tuchel's real test will be winning the tournament itself?Attention then turns to Scotland. After their 3–2 loss to Greece, everything now comes down to Tuesday night at Hampden, where they host Denmark and hope to top the group with a win.We move on to Wales, who beat Liechtenstein to draw level on points with second-placed North Macedonia and now look to reach the play-offs by beating them on Tuesday.Next, we turn to England's impressive win against the All Blacks. Martin highlights George Ford's two drop goals in a 33–19 performance that indicates Steve Borthwick's approach is bearing fruit. We're then joined by Adam Collins to preview the Ashes. With just five days to go, Australia are without both Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, and Adam believes the key will be how quickly England hit the ground running. And finally, we're joined by Rob Dorsett, who discusses all things England with John Cross and Jason Burt in Tirana ahead of Albania v England.Sunday Supplement is a Sky Sports podcast. You can hit the link below to check out the campaign. Brennan describes Tyrant Fall as if Dragon Ball Z was published by Heavy Metal Magazine. He has a long plan for the series and discusses the origins of the series with Jimmy, along with working with artist Max Davenport. Tyrant Fall is a great series and Jimmy says fans of Remender and Opena's Seven to Eternity will love, plus the remainder of the creative team is the extremely talented Roman Stevens and Rob Jones. From the KS page for Tyrant Fall #1: Thousands of years ago, the elven Fae Lords benevolently ruled over the world, overseeing an era of peace. Witnessing the ascend of human civilization, the Fae Lords returned to their home realm, the Fae. To mankind, they bestowed two final gifts: dominion of the world and the ancient knowledge of magic. The Fae Lords peace ended at the hands of the Dragons, tyrants who rose to power as they warred amongst themselves. Their strength, inhuman. Their rule, absolute. None have escaped their oppression. But there are those ready to fight the impossible fight to free the world from tyranny. Enter Myrta, warrior of the Rebellion, humanity's last resistance against the Dragons. As a child, she could only watch and run as the Red Dragon destroyed her life. Now, fifteen years later, she has returned. Armed with the power to get her vengeance, Myrta readies to attack the Red Dragon's citadel. Little does she know what fate awaits her within.
