Divisions in the Church . . . Division is ok, if it gets you to study it out and see if it lines up with scripture.

Everywhere the scriptures go, women are liberated. This sermon deals with the Biblical attitudes for the husband and the wife, not just to each other but to others in their lives. Biblical marriage is sacrificial love from the top down.

Whatever you do . . . do all to the glory of God. Come and follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Can you say this to those around you? “Follow me as I follow Christ”. If the world is going to change . . . their example has to change first. The world is looking for examples . . . be the example.

You are the free-est people on the planet! Not just because of the country you live in . . . but because of the salvation you have. What kind of courage do you have? Courage like in Gideon's army? Where God dwindled down the numbers so much that Gideon couldn't take any credit? Do you feel too weak? Perfect! God wants to use you! Are your battles ‘you sized'? Then they are not big enough. Look for ‘God sized' battles . . . He loves the glory!

1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Temptation is common . . .

2 Chronicles 7:13 ". . . if I send pestilence among my people . . . 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. If God doesn't judge this nation, He owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology. Use this season to confess your sins, to get the leaven out of your life. Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Practice faith! Faith is the secret place of the Almighty. Everything that is too heavy is not of faith.

In whatever state you find yourself . . . serve the Lord there, with all you got.

Arguments with self over “Right vs Wrong” Ask yourself . . . Will this help or hinder my relationship with Jesus? Could this decision lead me under the influence of anything other than Jesus? Take on an eternal and intentional mindset. View all of life as a opportunity to bring glory to God Ask yourself 3 questions: Is this action spiritually beneficial? If I do this, will it enslave me to sin? Will this action bring glory to God? Or dishonor? Flee immorality! How? Memorize scripture. Pray and ask God for deliverance. Have an accountability group.

You are sinners . . . Yet, you are washed, justified, sanctified. It's because of what God did FOR you. You don't have to keep the list! God is looking for broken-hearted people . . . people that are excited to do whatever He asks. Romans 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. God set you free! From the law of sin and death. Is this sin? Can I go this far? That's the minimum righteous question! Instead ask, does this help me run? Let us lay aside every weight and every sin which doth easily beset us and let us run!

We DO LIFE together! Believers should not go to the ‘unrighteous' to solve conflict . . . resolve conflict one on one. If that isn't possible, bring in an elder. Better to accept wrong than to go the ‘unrighteous' for judgement.

It shouldn't be ‘how far away can we get'? But how close to Jesus can we get? Don't judge me! Outside the church, we shouldn't be judging . . . inside the church, we need to judge. Mostly ourselves, but also others if we have the love to help them. Judging without condemnation. A big picture of this is the Jewish tradition of searching the house for leaven, and getting rid of it! The leaven represents sin. God says He can change our lives, by changing the way we think!

Chris Martin teaches on how to honor God and live in a busy world. What do you do with your imperfections? Do internalize them? Or do you allow them out . . . so others can help? Invite wise counsel! It is a really good thing to have people around you that you can go to, at any time for counsel and for wisdom!

Margins - The distance between our sin nature and our Christianity. The goal is to get you separated from your sin . . . if you are a Christian, you have all that you need to accomplish this. Lower vs higher righteousness question - 1. Is this a sin? vs. 2. Does this draw me closer to Christ? Take every thought captive. Why? Because you are free! You are FREE! You're clean! So, if you are going to sin . . . you have to CHOOSE to!

What does it take to STAND? What does it take to RUN? Willingness, resolve, endurance, faith, trust. Faith: The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses Rahab, Gideon, Barak Samson, Jepthah . . . these all believed in something that they couldn't see. Out of weakness they were made strong! Don't look for a “problem-free” life! Flatline means dead . . . James 1:2 Count it all joy when you fall into various trials . . . testing . . . It's easier to stand when you have a wall of people praying for you, a wall of armor! Find some people to be your wall! Don't stand alone!

Do you have idols? Do you have possessions? Or do possessions have you? Rest in Him! Ask God to renew you . . . to transform you!

Nick Cook preaches about the 'Margins' that we should all have in our lives. Nick encouraged us to look for areas in our lives where the margins are too small, too close. He pointed out that when you have to small a 'Margin' in one area it leads to making another 'Margin' small in another area of your life, and then you need to adjust another 'Margin' and make it smaller to compensate. Take a step back. Figure out how to fix your 'Margins'. Fight to get your 'Margins' back. Don't look at others for how to live . . . look to God! Seek His face! As God's steward, you NEED 'Margins'. Evaluate yourself with a desire for God to say, "Well Done"!

Nick Cook preaches about living life with Margins. Nick points out how you need to have tensions in life, too little and it's bad, too much and it's not good either. When your margins fail, what do you do? Do you take a pit stop? Do you re-tune? Do you do the critical and forget the important? When your margins fail or dissappear . . . and they will, repent and return! In order to get margins, you might have to ask God, 'what do you want me to stop, get rid of, or quit?'

Nick Cook challenges and encourages everyone to evaluate several areas of their life. First, Nick ask you to look back at 2019, 2018, 2017 and ask yourself if you got to the important things you wanted to do. Determine to get those things in, in 2020! Second, what in your life is keeping you from hearing God? What can you do to fix that? Third, is God speaking to you? What is keeping you from hearing Him? Fourth, how is God leading you? If He isn't . . . who or what is, and how can you remedy that?

Roger Owen preaches from Luke 1 and 2 about the birth of the Messiah. Our Messiah is Jesus! The Messiah is a gift to us! We need to take the gift - accept it - unwrap it - use it! Our Messiah gives us Joy, Faithfulness, Forgiveness! He is our Peacemaker! Take those gifts - revel in them - AND THEN PASS THEM ON TO OTHERS!

Nick Cook expounds on Isaiah 9:6, explaining that joy is come to the world . . . the Lord is come! Joy does not come from what you have. Joy comes from what you cannot lose! We cannot lose Jesus . . . He is: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. That is what you have, right now! Focus on that!

Steve Herzog preaches from Galatians 5. Steve talks about joy and how it contrasts with 'happiness'. The Steve moves on to talk about how we can have a joyful life.

Nick Cook preaches a sermon about how easy it is to be 'divided'. Proverbs 6:16-19 God hates six things . . . the seventh is an abomination to Him, "he that soweth discord among brethren". How do we succeed at not being divided? By focusing on Jesus, not the issues!

Nick Cook shares the vision that he has received from the Lord. Nick talks about how we need to leverage Red Rocks resources. Nick shares how we want to keep Red Rock, Red Rock . . . yet still reach so many more.

Roger Owen was preaching from Isaiah 7. --- Roger talked about the difference between our plans and God's plan. His ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Seek His Plans.

Roger Owen was preaching from 1 Corinthians chapter 3. --- Some sow, some water, some pick the fruit.

Roger teaches about the brook of Shiloam and how it contrasts with some of the bigger rivers in that area. The Brook of Shiloam was the quiet one, the one where healing came. Roger asks if we can hear the still, small voice. Are we content?

Roger Owen preaches about how much God loves us. Isaiah 9:6 is the beginning of how God demonstrates his love toward us. Isaiah 9:6 is the prophecy about that birth.

Roger Owen teaches about the prophecy of Jesus' coming and how it was perfectly timed! God almost never rushes anything. Roger lists quite a few ways that Jesus' coming was perfectly timed.

Nick Cook first asked us about the things that we wanted to do in 2019 and never did. Nick encourages us to be intentional. Focus on those things that are important and make it a priority to DO THEM! Second, Nick introduced us to the concept of Margins. Nick encouraged us to live life with a margin. Don't live life maxed out!

Peter Kuhl gives his testimony about how God worked and is working in his life . . . 1. to direct him to ministry 2. to give him wisdom 3. to give him purpose and a calling.

Roger Owen preaches about how Israel is going astray. They are NOT following God's laws . . . and God is giving them a chance. He tells them what He is going to do, hoping that they will listen, repent and change. The same thing happens in this day and age! We serve a God that loves us so much, He is willing to discipline His children. Not to hurt His children, but for their benefit! The answer to all of this is to repent and seek God! Strive to live a HOLY life!

God loves us. We need to know that. Through the hard time, the difficult times we need to KNOW that! Some of the ways that God shows us His love . . . sunrises and sunsets, taste, family, free will, coincidences, provision, memories, life, He died as payment for our sins! What do you do with His love? Are you a tank or a conduit? Remember the different ways that God loves us and how much!

Isaiah is talking about how we will worship God in the future. God was ANGRY with His people! God poured out all that anger on His Son! It's over, It's done. God is our salvation! Will you trust God for your salvation? Will you trust God in the hard times? When you do not trust God – you mis-represent Him.

Roger Owen takes us through Isaiah 13 showing us how God is in control of all the events that happen. The God of the Bible is the big and powerful God. He does what He pleases.

Roger Owen preaches from Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. Ezekiel describes some of the glory that Lucifer had before he fell. In Isaiah 14, we see some of the ‘I Will' statements from Lucifer. 1. I will ascend into heaven. 2. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. 3. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. 4. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. 5. I will be like the Most High. What we see here is that ‘I will' is in opposition to God's will. Look at your decisions . . . see if it really is God's will, or if it's your will. Ask God to open your eyes – to show you His will.

God is FOR you! If you've repented, taken your sins to the cross . . . You Are Free! God's word is here for you, be obedient and do them. Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed Malachi 3:10 prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Psalm 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Matthew 6:31-33 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Who or what do you trust? Who or what do you have faith in? Psalm 28:7 It is easy to trust in tangible things . . . why is it so hard to trust in God? Psalm 56:3 Fear is normal. With God . . . we have someone to trust. Psalm 62:8 God is a place of refuge. Psalm 118:8 God is a better refuge than man. Proverbs 3:5,6 It can be hard for us to see God's vision for us . . . because we don't see what He sees. Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the Lord, our eternal Rock.

God's got this . . . Roger Owen teaches about two of the prophecies contained in Isaiah. In one of them Isaiah prophecies when the Messiah will come. Jesus fulfills that prophecy on the very day that it is supposed to happen 483 years later. The second prophecy says that the Nile river in Egypt will dry up. This one was fulfilled in 1970. They put in a dam, and the consequences were greater than they anticipated, but it was prophesied by Isaiah.

Don't forsake the assembling of the saints . . . Also . . . don't let this be the new norm! Leverage your situation in this time to glorify God and point people to God.

Paul is on 'house arrest', kinda like we are on quarantine. Paul had guards chained to him, likewise, you have a great opportunity to affect those with you. Job . . . God knows what plans He has, Job knows nothing. In the same way, God may be changing things in your life. Seek His face, seek His will.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Sounds impossible . . . right? Read on, go to verse 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Think on things that are true and your level of anxiety will drop.

We all have storms in our lives . . . what matters is our foundation.

God cares how you give. He wants you to give out of your want, not your abundance. It is more blessed to give than to receive. We rob people of the ability to bless by not letting them know about needs. The rich man is not the one with the most . . . he's the one that needs the least.

Jeremiah 35 The Rechabites remembered what their ancestor told them to do. No wine and live in tents. John 8 Pharisees remembered differently, ‘we were never in bondage to anyone'. Apparently they didn't remember Egypt! What do we need to remember? 1. Jesus died for us 2.Your job is not who you are 3. You are a man/woman of God 4. Your job is a vehicle to love others 5. What your purpose/mission is 6. You and your spouse are meant to be 7. This earth is not our home 8. We fight from a place of victory 9. Even when we do not see it God is still working

Joy is not happiness. Happiness depends on what happens. Joy is based on what you hope in.

The Lord's Prayer. Know who you are praying to . . . Pray all the time.

Prayer . . . We are so busy that we can't afford NOT to pray! Spend the first portion of your day in prayer. Give others the opportunity to help you by letting others know about needs you have so that they can pray for you.
