Mosman Oil and Gas Ltd (AIM:MSMN) CEO Andy Carroll talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest updates on its US helium and oil exploration projects. Carroll shared that Mosman's joint-venture partner, Vecta Oil and Gas Ltd, has signed a drilling contract for five exploration wells at its Vecta project in Las Animas County, Colorado. He highlighted that the operator, Desert Eagle Operating LLC, has experience in drilling helium wells locally, which reduces mobilisation costs. Discussing the potential of Vecta, Carroll noted its proximity to historic helium production fields from the late 1920s, emphasising the region's proven helium reserves. He also pointed out the success of Desert Eagle's Red Rock project and the presence of other active drillers in the area. Beyond Vecta, Carroll provided an update on Mosman's Sagebrush project near the Four Corners area in Colorado. The project, in partnership with Four Corners Helium, includes existing seismic data identifying significant oil and helium prospects. Episode Intro: Dear listeners of the Female Guides Requested Podcast, Happy Wednesday, and Happy Lunar New Year of the Snake! This is your host Ting Ting from Las Vegas. Today, we have Izzy Lazarus as our guest. I've known Izzy for a while, but it wasn't until last fall that I finally got to meet her in person when she came to Red Rock for her AMGA Rock Guide Exam. I knew I had to have her on the show. Izzy grew up in NYC, playing hockey, skateboarding, and finding a connection with the ocean. Her mountain pursuits began with a pre-orientation backpacking trip in the thick Vermont woods, and she's been hooked ever since. Courses in rock and ice climbing and outdoor leadership led her to work at the Colorado Outward Bound School after college. Izzy spent several years working multi-week climbing, mountaineering, backpacking, and backcountry skiing courses, both domestically and abroad. In 2017, she moved to the Tetons to work as an alpine and backcountry ski guide. Between Teton seasons, she traveled and worked in the Southwest desert region and various peaks in the Northwest and Cascades. Several years later, life took her back to Vermont to work for the UVM Outdoor Programs Dept and guide on the side. Izzy has a passion for adventure that is only surpassed by her love of education, teaching, building connections with people from around the world, and cooking! Izzy is a Certified Rock Guide, Assistant Splitboard Guide, and Apprentice Alpine Guide. We talked about Izzy's different transitions in life, from a big city to the great outdoors, from seasonal guiding to a full-time job. We discussed what ignited these transitions, how she managed the changes, and what she learned from her experiences. Izzy always seems to have a positive outlook on life and genuinely cares about the people around her, wanting to learn from them. Izzy's energy and positive attitude towards life are truly radiant. In 1983, after years of climbing on Yosemite's granite cracks with John Long and the Stonemasters, Lynn Hill went on a roadtrip. First to Arizona, then to Colorado and finally Red Rock, outside of Las Vegas. While on the road, she and Long established some of the most classic routes in the country. After a brief foray into Hollywood stunts, Lynn traveled to the Gunks to climb for a magazine article and photoshoot. David has always been interested in Jeeps, while in college in the late 1990s, he was able to buy his first Jeep, a 1990 Jeep Cherokee. He started learning and exploring with that, after that was totaled in an accident, he then bought his 1984 CJ7, and his life changed forever. David was born with a very rare peripheral neuropathy, which has affected his ability to be able to get around, so as his disability has progressed over the years, his Jeep has literally become his replacement for his legs. Allowing him to be able to get out and explore the areas that he would be otherwise inaccessible to him. David has been deeply ingrained in the Jeep community for almost 30 years. He lived in Moab for 14 years where he was one of the organizers and planners for Easter Jeep Safari, he also was the Land Use Officer for the Red Rock 4 Wheelers for 13 years and helped to preserve and protect the trails around Moab. He now lives, literally, right next door to Sand Hollow in Hurricane, Utah. David's passion and love for Jeeps is truly remarkable. He currently owns 8 older Jeeps or Willys. At least one from every decade from the '40s through the '90s. He is passionate about the older stuff. He also is a collector of Jeep memorabilia, and currently has the world's most complete Jeep grille collection. He has a grille from every model of Jeep made from 1941 to 2021. 65 grilles total. He also has a tailgate collection, with tailgates from 18 different models of Jeeps. All of this stuff is hanging in his garage which he's turning into a Jeep Museum. In 2018 David have the opportunity to compete on the reality show, Truck Night in America. He had a wonderful time and met some great people through that experience. Most recently, David has just written and a published a memoir about what it was like growing up disabled, and what got him into jeeping. The book is available on Amazon, in both digital format, or as a paperback or hardback. It is titled, "It's a Jeep thing... The Life and Adventures of a Disabled Jeeper"
