The challenges the Church faces in a post-pandemic world and the way through it by Pastor Shannon Pinto
Part two where we talk about the person of The Holy Spirit. Lets learn about the 'Helper' who Jesus spoke about.
How can we walk in agreement with the Lord? only if walk under His Lordship and Kingship. The issue is not that people directly allow themselves to align with the devil. They do so indirectly by being Lord of their own lives, that's more than enough for the enemy to lead you astray. You cannot walk in agreement with the Lord if you want to be the boss of your life. Keep walking with God... fly, run, walk, crawl!
No amount of changes we make are going to bring results that compare to actively seeking Jesus—and allowing Him to transform us. This year, choose to make a lasting change by consistently drawing nearer to God. Therefore if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! - 2 Corinthians 5: 17
Nothing is more important than Hope. Hope is to life, what oxygen is to Lungs. The word of God defines hope differently. Hope is the expectation of something sure. Listen to Pastor Ivan share the four pillars of Hope, from the word of God that will inject real confidence and real truth in the future. Dr.Ivan Satyavrata is the Senior Pastor of the Assembly of God church, Kolkata.
Part One of Two from the series on Worship in October 2021
Pastor Shannon shares on a subject that has baffled believers no less than unbelievers. One that poses a many a time a serious test to our faith in God – Suffering!
Join us for a discussion with Pastor Shannon and Prof. Jude D'Souza
Have you considered lately on What inspires you? From whom or what do you draw your strength? On what basis do you make or important life decisions? Whom or what do you first turn to in a time of crisis?
Luke 17: 1 "Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!"
We were created and redeemed by God to firstly connect with Him but also to connect with one another and therefore, it's not surprising that the first church in the Books of Acts started doing naturally what was later instructed and recorded in the New Testaments scriptures.
The story of a nameless man who took the message of hope and the healing of God to a city.
A meditation of one of the most famous Psalms in the Bible with Guest Speaker Pastor Shelton Davidson.
How can we find out God's will for our lives?
There are no limits to God's rule. And in Christ, God's awesome, sovereign providence is the place we feel most reverent, most secure, most free.
Do you find yourself having more questions than answers. Or how do we pray in a season like this? are we even allowed to be honest about the anxiety and grief that we are feeling in our heart in times like this? Does the Bible give us any helpful handles to navigate a season like this? If these questions give voice to some of the churnings in your own heart this season, then I want you to take heart because we are not the first ones in history to walk through periods of uncertainty, suffering and disruption. In fact, the Bible even gives us some helpful handle on how to engage with God in a season of suffering and grief.
The crisis will reveal your stronghold. The storm you encounter will reveal under whose shade and shelter you take refuge. Who will we choose? If we do not break and set ourselves free from ungodly strongholds, we will not be able to fulfill the Lord's purpose for our lives.
How does the Church respond to this pandemic that is ravaging the world? We have a God who loves us so much that He gave the ultimate sacrifice to die in our place. As a church we have to take a stand between life and death. Let us be discerning and be salt & light in the areas God has placed us in.
Listen in on how Pastor Stanley Mehta talks on how Jesus responded to his two disciples on the Road to Emmaus after his Resurrection. And how the disciples responded to him.
'Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey...' - Zechariah 9 : 9 (NIV)
What is the fear of the Lord? It is a deep respect, an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration and a sense of awe produced in us by the revelation of who God is. There is no way we can live a godly, Godward and a God glorifying life without learning, growing and walking in the fear of the Lord. 'So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.' – Acts 9: 31
The fear of the Lord ought to be the foundation of our hearts, lives, family and the Church. "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul - Deuteronomy 10: 12
"And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul - Deuteronomy 10: 12
Jesus said, “Let's go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn't even have time to eat. So, they left by boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone. - Mark 6:31–32
Are you stuck in life or are you moving upward and forward in accordance with God's plan and purpose?
Life on Earth is a journey without breaks / brakes. You and I are headed for eternity. For us as Christians the biggest moment is when we will see our LORD: "What will the Lord Jesus have to say to me about the life I have lived?" 2 Corinthians 13:5-8 5 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test? 6 But I expect that you will realize that we ourselves do not fail the test. 7 Now we pray to God that you do nothing wrong; not so that we ourselves may appear approved, but that you may do what is right, though we may ]appear unapproved. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.
Christmas is completely about the GOSPEL. Our God who so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. To understand Christmas is to understand basic Christianity, the gospel.
Guest Speaker Pastor David Fernandes shares the word.
The “Gospel Renewal” modules establish a framework to understand the process of inward transformation that God is working through us daily. In essence, we are learning about those elements of following Jesus that are essential to gospel transformation.
The Glory of God unraveled throughout history in the Bible can be our portion, if we pursue Christ.
f we truly desire to be followers of our Lord along the path of discipleship, it is imperative that we first heed the words of our Lord and count the cost of discipleship.
God blesses us so that we can bless the nations. 'God be gracious to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us - Selah. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy; For You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations on the earth - Selah' — Psalm 67:1 & 4 (NASB)
The Gospel is to be central in our lives but in order to live a Gospel-centered life we ought to grow in the understanding of it's concepts and work to absorb it's truths more deeply into our lives.
We are all called to be an INFLUENCE and be agents of TRANSFORMATION where ever God has placed us.
This life is a journey and there are ups and downs, more downs than ups, maybe. You will agree that we are in a down time now. But these journey's can become life transforming in God.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper. He helps us to face our past, and restore our identity in Christ.
