Every object, every creature, every man, woman and child, has a soul and it is the destiny of all, to see as God sees, to know as God knows, to feel as God feels, to Be as God is." -Meister Eckhart "The Life Force that perpetuates your heartbeat and maintains and sustains all the other organs and functions of your body is not physical, but it is spiritual... is not temporal, but is eternal. And once that basic truth has been established in your consciousness, you will experience the dissolution of all fear, the healing of all diseases, and the resolution of all conflicts. This is the supernal activity of the Word being made flesh... this is the sacred process of Divine Grace being established on earth as it is in Heaven." -Don Mardak "The highest meditation is to think of nothing. In this episode of The Infinite Spark of Being podcast, Keith explores the powerful concept of Decentralized Spirituality—the idea that you don't need a middleman to find God. Drawing from the teachings of Jesus, the Buddha, the Vedas, mystical Judaism, Sufism, and his own personal experience, Keith breaks down how every spiritual path ultimately points to one truth: The Divine is within you. No priest, pastor, guru, or religious institution can grant you access to something you already are. This episode is a candid, folksy, and sometimes irreverent reminder that you are the spark, the temple, and the access point to the Infinite. Keith shares personal stories, humor, and deep philosophical insights about how religion, culture, and institutions have distanced us from this truth—and how we can reclaim it.If you're ready to step outside the hierarchy and remember who you truly are, this episode is for you.✨ Join us every Sunday night at 8 PM EST for a free online meditation session.✨ Want to go deeper? Humans seem to be drawn in a certain direction toward truth and beauty. Is that an accident of nature? Or is there a higher truth prompting it? On this ID The Future, we're pleased to share the first half of an engaging conversation between philosopher of science Dr. Stephen Meyer and historian of science Michael Shermer about science, God, the origin of information, and the nature of mind. The conversation was hosted by comedian and podcaster Bryan Callen on The Bryan Callen Show. In Part 1, Meyer and Shermer discuss arguments for design, the Big Bang, the origin of information, and the role of mind in the universe. This is Part 1 of a two-part interview. Look for Part 2 in a separate episode of ID The Future. We're grateful to the producers of The Bryan Callen Show for permission to share this conversation on ID The Future! Source

Pastor Peter read from Romans 6:1-5 and John 2:1-10. Pastor Matthew then preached about God's great promise to the world. In his message, Pastor Matthew reminded us of our potential while emphasizing that Christians should follow Jesus's example by bringing goodness and mercy into the world.
In today's episode, I am joined by one of our GUIDED sisters, Laurie, for a conversation on healing from religious trauma and finding God after leaving the chuch. Laurie spent 18 years in the church and, in her words, experienced abuse and manipulation. Her story is beautiful and inspiring, a must-listen for those moving through this experience as well. I start the episode with an update from our family, (we are all sick again), what I have been learning energetically about this time (and the messages and number codes I'm receiving at night) and close the episode with a question/answer about who Jesus really was. Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership with Ruth Haley Barton
In this final episode of the season, we are joined by none other than the author of 'Silence and Other Surprising Invitations of Advent' herself, Enuma Okoro!! Enuma joins Charity, Colleen, and Jeff to share the inspirations behind her book, personal insights on faith, the significance of untold stories in the Bible, and the challenges of maintaining faith. Continuing with our Advent story of Zechariah and Elizabeth, they discuss the challenges and blessings of waiting on God's “inconvenient timing.” The four also reflect on God's presence in everyday life and the importance of recognizing divine manifestations in people and situations we least expect. This season, as Advent falls on the heels of a contentious election season here in America and amidst the reality of war and violence around the world, we here at the Transforming Center wanted to approach the Advent podcast season with the awareness that many people are deeply in need of space and hope right now. TC staff member Charity McClure and ministry partners Jeff James and Colleen Powell will be walking listeners through Advent with the intention of broadening and deepening the practice and experience of silence as a way to hold that space. Using Enuma Okoro's book 'Silence and Other Surprising Invitations of Advent, which highlights the story of Elizabeth and Zachariah, for inspiration and wisdom, Charity and Jeff will be joined by guests as they explore themes of lament, barrenness, waiting, dependence on God, community, friendship, and hope. Enuma Okoro is a Nigerian-American author, writer, lecturer, curator, and arts and culture critic. Her globally read column, “The Art of Life,” reflects her broader research and writing interests: how the intersection of art, philosophy, spirituality, ecology and culture can speak to the human condition and interrogate how we live with ourselves and one another, and how we relate to the more-than-human. She has contributed to a number of different publications and is the author of Reluctant Pilgrim and Silence and other Surprising Invitations of Advent. The journey of making Torah Tropical began in 2021, in the midst of Colombia's historic civil unrest. Despair at the Duque government's policies and botched implementation of the Peace Process boiled until erupting into the tumultuous National Strike of April 2021. The uprising was the defining moment for a generation of young Colombians, a time those of us in the streets remember as an expression of hope, of a shared dream for a just society where a young person can aspire to a fulfilling, violence-free life. So, this week, we speak to Ezra Axelrod and David Restrepo about this new documentary and what making it meant to them and where it took them and the protagonists in terms of the great questions in life, religion, identity and place. Description of the Documentary: In a tropical paradise turned dystopian by the Drug War, a struggling Colombian family in the city of Cali, reinvent themselves as Orthodox Jews who believe God is calling them to the Promised Land. Over the course of year in which reality and religious parable collide, they risk everything in an attempt at making Aliyah to Israel, putting their faith and family to the ultimate test. Torah Tropical tells the universal story of searching for identity and belonging in the face of adversity. Through Isska and Menajem's struggle to give their daughters a better life, the consequences of economic, racial and religious exclusion are explored with poetic intimacy, inviting audiences to fall in love with a family that defies stereotypes and inspires us to find hope in the middle of the world's cruelest intersections. https://www.torahtropical.com

Vanessa's Fridays saw her dancing the night away in the night clubs of Liverpool, having drinks with friends, sometimes staying out all night. But now Fridays are times of prayer with new friends at the mosque. She took her vows – shahada – to become a Muslim within a month of Hamas attacking Israel and the resulting military campaign in Gaza and says the unshakeable faith of Palestinian Muslims then was the catalyst for her conversion. Now, wearing a full hijab, she has made it clear to all around her, her life has totally changed. She no longer sees the friends she used to spend so much time with. But that loss has partly been made up through the support of her new friends, many of whom are also converts to Islam. In Liverpool where she lives, the South African born Vanessa, plans to change her name to Amina, after the prophet Mohammed's mother, further marking herself out as Muslim and identifying with the global Muslim community – or Ummah.

Life can be a process of orientation, disorientation and reorientation. Our natural response is to resist disorientation but what happens when Jesus says things that break social, cultural and religious norms? The answer may surprise us. Pastor Steffen takes us through the gospels of Luke, Mark and Matthew to illustrate God's intentions when we find him in places that may be unfamiliar to us.

Clint Riggin is a successful entrepreneur, coach and is now diving deep into his faith in seminary school. Earlier in life, he struggled with drug abuse, partying, hanging around the wrong people and suicide contemplation. It was when he surrendered his life to Christ when he began to see substantial change in his life for the better and a greater purpose for his existence. In this episode, we first unpack Clint's crazy upbringing where he enlisted in the Navy and professionally competed in bodybuilding, but then turned to drugs, partying and alcohol to be seen by society. This led him down a dark path of depression and questioning his life. He knew that he needed to make a change. Clint decided to travel across the United States where he met his future mentor. This mentor prayed over him and opened his eyes to a better life with Christ at the center. Clint then began to change the way he operated, his beliefs and the people he surrounded himself with. Clint and Matt discuss the power of faith and mentorship, and how both can create life changing transformations for anyone. Clint is also a successful entrepreneur and brings a ton of value to the listener. He is currently training for a HYROX race so we also hit on the training and mental fortitude needed to succeed in that event.
Anxiety is something many moms struggle with, but it doesn't have to control your life. In today's episode, we're tackling the difficult topic of anxiety, especially for busy, working Christian moms. Between balancing work, raising kids, managing our homes, and living out our faith, it's easy for anxiety to creep in unnoticed. But God's peace is available to you, even in the most overwhelming moments. Join us as we explore 4 practical steps to overcome anxiety and experience God's peace in your everyday life. Episode Highlights: 1. Acknowledge the Anxiety but Don't Let It Define You Anxiety is something we all experience, and it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your faith. Philippians 4:6 reminds us to take our anxious thoughts to God through prayer, knowing we are not meant to carry these burdens alone. Give yourself grace—acknowledge the anxiety, but remember that your identity is not in your worry; it's in being a beloved daughter of God. 2. Finding Peace in God's Promises Isaiah 26:3 speaks of God keeping us in perfect peace when our minds are fixed on Him. Meditate on God's promises: He is with you (Deuteronomy 31:6), has good plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11), and His peace surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Scripture is a powerful tool to combat anxiety. Write down or speak out verses to remind yourself of God's unshakable truth. 3. Practical Steps to Manage Anxiety as a Christian Mom Start Your Day with Quiet Time: Even 5-10 minutes of prayer or meditation can set a peaceful tone for your day. Breathe and Pause: Practice taking deep breaths and saying a short prayer whenever anxiety creeps in. Don't Be Afraid to Say No: Set healthy boundaries by saying no to commitments that don't align with your priorities. Ask for Help: Reach out to your support system. Don't try to carry the weight alone—God created us to live in community. 4. Leaning on God's Strength 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. When you feel overwhelmed, lean into God's grace, knowing that it's okay to feel weak because His strength is sufficient for you. Anxiety doesn't define you, and it doesn't have the final say over your life. God's peace is always available, no matter what you're facing. Through prayer, meditation on God's Word, and practical steps like setting boundaries and asking for help, you can experience His peace even in the busiest seasons. Want to chat with Lindsay? Taking regular breaks to focus on God's presence is not a luxury. It's a vital practice for your spiritual well-being. By taking breaks from your busyness, you can experience in that stillness that God is really with you right where you are! SUBSCRIBE to our sister podcasts:Your Daily Prayer: https://www.lifeaudio.com/your-daily-prayer/Your Daily Bible Verse: https://www.lifeaudio.com/your-daily-bible-verse/ Full Transcript Below: How Breaks from Your Busyness Can Help You Find God By: Whitney Hopler “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.' The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” – Psalm 46:10-11, NIV In this fast-paced, constantly connected world, you can often find yourself engulfed in a whirlwind of tasks and distractions. Your schedule is packed, your to-do list is long, and finding time for rest can seem like an impossible luxury. Yet, in the middle of this busyness, God invites you to take regular breaks to focus on his presence with you. God urges you to “Be still, and know that I am God.” The command to “be still” is not just about physical rest. It's also a call to mental and spiritual stillness. Being still involves creating moments in your day to pause, breathe, and shift your attention from your hectic schedule to notice God's presence with you. This intentional stillness allows you to connect with God in ways that renew you spiritually. When you're busy, it's easy to lose sight of God's constant presence. Your mind can be preoccupied with the demands of work, family, and other responsibilities. However, taking regular breaks to be still before God helps you to refocus. It's in these moments of quiet reflection that you can truly come to know and experience the reality of God's closeness. Regardless of how busy or overwhelmed you may feel, God is always with you, ready to give you peace and guidance when you ask for it. Taking breaks to pay attention to God's presence can transform your perspective – helping you to discover the wonder of God's work in every situation. So, imagine yourself pausing in the middle of a busy day to simply acknowledge God's presence with you. This act of intentional focus can help you remember that you are not alone in your struggles and that God is actively involved in every part of your life. It's a powerful reminder that God is not distant or disconnected, but intimately aware of your needs and concerns. In your moments of stillness, you can not only become more aware of God's presence, but also of God's protection and support. God is your fortress – your safe haven in stressful times. You can rely on God to be there for you, even in the middle of life's chaos. Knowing that God is your fortress can give you the confidence to face your challenges with renewed courage and faith. Here are some ways to incorporate breaks into your daily routine: Schedule regular times throughout your day to pause and focus on God. These could be short breaks in the morning, midday, and evening. During your breaks, take time to thank God for his blessings and for being with you throughout your day. Use everyday activities – such as a walk, a coffee break, or a commute – as opportunities to turn your attention toward God and enjoy God's presence with you. Reflect on God's promises and listen for his voice. Allow God's presence to fill you with peace and guidance. Spend a few minutes reading a Bible verse or a devotional, and then pray, asking the Holy Spirit to help you apply that wisdom to your life. Taking regular breaks to focus on God's presence is not a luxury. It's a vital practice for your spiritual well-being. By taking breaks from your busyness, you can experience in that stillness that God is really with you right where you are! Intersecting Faith and Life As you consider how breaks from your busyness can help you find God, reflect on these questions: How often do you take intentional breaks to focus on God during your day? What are some practical ways you can incorporate moments of stillness into your daily routine? How does recognizing God's presence with you affect your approach to your daily responsibilities and challenges? What steps can you take to create a habit of pausing to enjoy God's presence throughout your day? How does the assurance that God is your fortress give you confidence and peace when you're busy? In this episode, we sit down with Chaim Cohen, who shares his powerful journey from a secular upbringing to embracing Orthodox Judaism. Chaim recounts his early life in a non-Jewish neighborhood in Sharon, Massachusetts, where football became an outlet for his anger and a shield against bullying. Despite his bar mitzvah, he felt disconnected from his Jewish identity, viewing it as a burden rather than a blessing. Chaim's life took a dramatic turn when a seemingly ordinary football game triggered a deep reflection on his Jewish roots. His story is a testament to the transformative power of faith, as he describes the moment that propelled him to rediscover his heritage, don tefillin, and ultimately, dedicate his life to Torah study. This conversation delves into the struggles and triumphs of finding one's spiritual path and the impact of perseverance and commitment to personal growth.
