Eric expounds the advice and commission given by King David to his son Solomon, and what that means for us as Christians: how we should be empowered to be firm, responsible, a leader and an influencer. David talks to us about a father's responsibility and what we can learn about some father's who were not good role model's to their children from the bible, but that we must ultimately look to God's example. Sam preaches to the International Baptist Church in Bukit Indah finishing our series looking at the book of Amos, looking at chapter 9. Sam brings God's message of judgement to it's crescendo: the judgement has come and the house of Israel will be destroyed. However, this is not the final note. In a note of mercy, God will deliver a remnant that will rebuild Israel. Not a physical Israel, but one made of all nations, Gentiles chosen by God. We need to think about how we live in the light of that judgement, and the hope of the glorious future. Week 20

Sam looks at three times when God points the Israelites in the direction of life with three dire warnings of grave judgement and punishment. He warns that their religious acts will not save them, that they should seek truth and protect the weak and the poor, and that they should seek to understand goodness and uphold justice. Week 16

Sam continues to look at Israel's betrayal to the God who saved them from Egypt and how God is raising Assyria to be His tool of judgement on them. The punishment will be terrible, however, a hope is given and a remnant will be saved. He talks about how this relates to us as Christians in how we should fear God and that should lead to repentance. Week 12

Josh encourages us to run with endurance, the endurance being for discipline for our good so that we may bear good fruit. We are encouraged by the witnesses of past Christians and by keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, considering him to be our example and putting our faith in Him. He encourages us to think about what is holding us back, look solely to Jesus and remember our status as God's children. Week 9

Sam Cheung gives a sermon to the International Baptist Church, Bukit Indah about Love, Sex, Singleness and Marriage from the passage of Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, chapter 7. A break from our current series on the book of Hebrews to talk about things related to Valentine's day. Sam speaks about how, even though love is surprisingly absent from 1 Corinthians, it is to be the center of marriages, and those marriages in sex and commitment to one another and how couple treat one another are to be a witness to God. He also speaks about how singleness is a gift and should be cherished by the church as a whole and single people need support, but also need to think about how they are to be giving their undivided attention to the Lord.
