Podcast by Taco Talk Show Podcast
In this episode of “Taco Talk Show” we cover the true crime about the 13 year old murderer named Paris Lee Bennett that killed his 4 year old sister Ella Bennett in 2007. It was a horrific & sexually motivated murder that involved him beating, strangling & stabbing his sister 17 times. His mother Charity Bennett wrote a memoir we read for background reference info. We also saw a documentary called “The Family I Had”, which actually what inspired us covering this crime on our podcast.
We discuss the disturbing case of the Turpin family. After watching to 20/20 special titled "House of Horrors", we decided to look further into the case of the Turpin family. The horrific torture directed at the family's 13 children lasted for almost 30 years before coming to an end, thanks to a very brave 17 year old who sought help.
This is the crazy af story about Theresa Knorr, a mom who killed 3 people, including her two first born daughters in 1984 & 1985. There aren't a lot of podcasts about her so we wanted to cover this case. This woman was definitely problematic from the start, as she killed her first husband at the age of 18 while pregnant with Sheila, her first daughter. But she manipulated her way out of catching a charge. Please let us know what you think about this woman!
Steve Koecher went missing in 2009 & has never been seen again. We did tons of research about this case & review some of the most popular theories as to where he may have gone. What do you think happened to Steven?
A response to the Cold Podcast by Wondery! https://thecoldpodcast.com/ If you haven't yet heard the Cold podcast about this case you are MISSING OUT. This is literally the best podcast series out there. If you enjoy wild rides & true crime, this one is a MUST! We listened to all of the episodes that delve into the disappearance of Susan Powell & the murder suicide of Josh Powell & their children & these are our thoughts & theories. What do YOU think happened??? (Ellis if you single now, hollar! - Jessa)
I'm sure you are confused on how Bella Thorne recently screwed over a bunch of sex workers that rely on the onlyfans platform to pay their rent. (Like me!) Well, here is how she ruined our bag. This is happening a lot lately with celebrities joining onlyfans. And for what? And why now when so many out of work people (mostly sex workers) rely on onlyfans for their living?
You won't believe that a dude really wanted me to murder him & take his money! Listen to you this & more crazy stories! This was a requested podcast episode from one of our dope listeners!!! She wanted to know what kind of weird requests & experiences I (Jessa) have encountered during my career as a sex worker!
Jessa had Covid for 5 weeks & couldn't go anywhere. She shares her experience with symptoms & feelings about the virus. We also talk about our recent vacation to South Carolina & North Carolina.
What have YOU been up to during the national quarantine? We've been doing all kinds of stuff & trying to use our time wisely. It's a very uncertain time. How are you coping? Hear us discuss out thoughts & fears about the situation? Also we do need a microphone isolation shield. If you'd like to help us out, please check out our amazon wish list! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3L7BG53L6US23?ref_=wl_share
Am I, Jessa, addicted to masturbation? I think it's quite possible... Because it's all I seem to want to do & I have no desire for intimacy with another human. Also, do you know the origins of "fap"? Because we think we do. We also talk about how relationships change as we get older in this edition of Taco Talk Show. You'll really know all of my secret personal info after listening to this podcast. You'll love it!
We've developed addictions to discount shopping at outlet stores because that's just where we are in life... But seriously you guys need to stop sleeping on Bargain Hunt & Gabe's cause those prices are lit af. You just can't beat those deals! (Whether you actually need the shit or not.)
Jessa and Leslie hang out with their old friend Mo. We catch up and talk about what we have learned about life in the past decade.
So we decided to do a podcast about the last 24hrs of our lives. We happened to be hanging out for over a day so it was pretty easy. This is a great way to take a look into our exciting lives!!! You know you wanna. Cause we dope af.
This is the story of Colleen Stan who was kidnapped in 1977 by Cameron & Janice Hooker & held for 7 straight years... Often, IN A BOX. This story is an intricate tale of captivity, brainwashing & consent. You'll see what we mean when you hear her story!
Have you seen Leaving Neverland on HBO yet? We've both watched it twice. It's hard to believe our hero Michael Jackson would do such horrible things to young boys. There's no way to really know for sure went down with Micheal and those children back in the 90's. There are several reasons the accusers could be lying. But their testimonies are really hard to dispute. Is it possible that some are telling the truth and there are some manipulative lying opportunists mixed in as well? Hear our thoughts and tell us what YOU think! (Also check out our new jingle for the podcast!!!)
We're both addicts. Leslie is reaching her 3 year sobriety mark & I am still binge drinking. Although I am not as bad as I used to be, I have still caused myself major issues due to my drinking & occasional drug usage. We talk about Leslie's descent into substance abuse & what made her make the change she needed. We discuss our childhood behaviors that led to addiction, as well. I also tackle why I have not chosen sobriety. This is a rather personal podcast for us. We hope you find it helpful in your own journies.
We discuss the documentaries "Fyre Fraud" and "Fyre Fest" that were about the failed attempt at a luxury music festival. We talk about how the "founder" stole millions of dollars from a ton of people to fund an overpriced festival that never happened.
We watched Surviving R Kelly & were really shocked. We thought we knew most of what was going to be said but nope. R Kelly did the most. So we discussed things in this cast like the mindset of the victims he preys upon, the age difference between him and these women and how back in the day that was somewhat normal but isn't in today's society. And more! If we left something out, please leave us a comment!
This is a continuation of our last episoide..... We've been seeing those ridiculous articles about white Instagram models presenting themselves as black or mixed-race women to gain followers & we were perplexed. Then Black Chyna is now backing a skin lightening cream called "Whitenicious" (wtfff) that she is selling for $250 a bottle & it's being marketed toward darker skinned, particularly black, women. Why? Why is it that it's okay for white women to now wear cornrows when black women have been told for ages that those styles are not professional or even beautiful? Is it now a trend to "be black"? While all that is happening you still have black women learning how to love themselves FOR being black. But you still see european ideals forced upon women of color, to the extent that skin whitening creams are still being sold in 2018. Where does one draw a line on EITHER side? The world is getting weird, y'all. Part 2 coming up next!

We were talking earlier about whether we believed in a soul or not so we decided to make a podcast about it! We have Lydia visiting and she used her book smarts to help guide the discussion in a scholarly way. Thank god. We each all had different ideas of what a soul is or wouldn't be. Interesting ideas! we also make lots of jokes, as per usual. Let us know what you think!
In this episode of the cast we played a game of "Would You Rather" & we ended up revealing a million inappropriate things about ourselves. Or maybe that was just me... Lol. Play with us! Let us know what options you would choose in the senerios
We were talking earlier about the horror we both experience in the middle of the night without warning & because we had so many experiences in common with this, we decided to make it public so you could also know about it. Do you guys also have these middle of the night panicky freakouts, or is it just us? Maybe it's just what adulthood is? We also talk about substance abuse/methods of self-medication that we have used to deal with these types of feelings.
We discuss our personality flaws and how we have learned to deal with them.
Leslie & I are posing the questions of what is cultural appropriation. We know by definition what cultural appropriation is (we're not dumb) but when is it inappropriate or appropriate/appreciation? It seems like a hot button lately including for me with the rise of pole dance as fitness. Hear why this is so offensive to me & about how as a passing person of color other things are very offensive to me as well. Then, let's discuss in an open & honest way in the comments! No hate!
This episode is about our personal experiences with domestic violence and our past experiences that may have led to those relationships. Domestic and emotional violence is never okay.
We have a guest! It's our old friend Liz! We think it's great that the world is coming to terms with the idea that there isn't just one body type that is "beautiful"! But the way some marketing campaigns, song lyrics and social media memes are going about it is completely backwards. Great! Big women DO need love too! But what about our tiny women, muscular women, short women, super tall women? They're all bad bitches too! Hear what we have to say and hit us back with your thoughts!
What is it to be beautiful & who gets to decide? In this podcast we talk about our personal likes & dislikes with the beauty industry along with our personal struggles with our own looks. We've been through, girl. Lol. But seriously we have two completely different looks but have had the same self-esteem issues with ourselves because "what is beautiful, is good" has been shoved down our throats since birth. We want to know your feelings on this topic too. Also, we throw in what beauty products we're LOVING lately. So it's not all boohoo.
Just some quick updates about what we have been doing and some self-discovery about substance abuse and how it affected us. Hear how sobriety has opened up new worlds for us. This is a cast about self-discovery through sobriety. Try staying sober a week and share with us how it affects you! Is it hard? Do you have more energy? Are your moods brighter? Tell us!
We talk about how we deal with death and our irrational thinking.
We just wanted to share with y'all some natural supplements that have worked on our craziness. We obviously aren't doctors and barely know what we are talking about, but you'll get it. The things & supplements mentioned here are seriously helpful for folks that have mental issues, like us. You'll need to do your own research and speak to your doctor about what might work for you. Good luck & get happy. (We apologize for how scatterbrained we are in this podcast. Clearly we both need to find an adhd supplement that works. Ha.)
I (Jessa) forced leslie & Lydia (our guest) to watch Beyonce's visual album, "Lemonade". We give you the run down on what we thinks it's about and describe some of the symbolism. We also get into discussing communication & how it's key in all relationships. Lydia has a little treat for y'all at the end too!
This is the 2nd part of our original cast "Blood Clots & Sobriety" when Jessa's grandma interrupted us. Lol. We discuss more in depth about our addiction triggers & Jessa talks about her own addiction issues more openly. We also discuss sexual issues relating to addiction & how those things go hand in hand. We discuss our personal challenges with sobriety & the issues we face with choosing to remain sober. We also tell some pretty funny stories about how we got into self medicating. If you would like to comment & add your thoughts on these issues or ask questions for us to answer in a future cast, plz do!
