The Macc Rugby Podcast, a new show that seeks to discuss all things Macclesfield Rugby Club. Hosted by the 1st XV Performance Analyst and MaccRugbyTV producer Matt Coleridge and long term club man Franky Barker, the show invites guests from all areas of the club to reflect on how the club has brought great joy to their lives whether it be on the pitch, in the clubhouse or both. The show comes out every Wednesday, with debut episode going live last week (6th May), featuring club Chairman Stephen Branch, 1st XV Head Coach Andy Appleyard and Captain Tom Morton. But this is certainly not a 1st XV fan show, in the up and coming episodes we will hear from our developing Ladies team, a number of club legends, the ever growing mini and junior section, members of the 3rd and 4ths and in the near future some special guests from the past. Former Sale, Worcester and England Lock Chris Jones joined the coaching team this season and so we sent Wilky down to get the scoop and learn all about the man, the myth, the legend!

For the penultimate episode in the series, our Mental Health lead volunteer Liz Jarratt, and M & J Director Phil Mason join Matt for a discussion on the importance of Mental Health welfare and the steps the club are taking to ensure there is support for all members of all ages. As well as working closely with the Give a Ruck and Looseheadz campaigns, Liz is a long term member and also highly active in the Girls team as well as a player in the Ladies team, plus she has 2 kids in the Mini and Junior Section so she gives us the low down on all the goings on in those aspects of the club. Wilky carries the mantle again for us and speaks to Jim Curtis who has been embedded with the 1st XV and 2nd XV for the last few years and provides support to the coaching staff, and still occasionally dons his boots after a long career at an impressive standard including London Scottish, but also has a story or two including living next door to Kylie Minogue!!!
David 'Wahoo Wilky' Wilkinson steps into the breach for us once again, and speaks to Club General Manager Andy Appleyard, to discuss his route to Macc and the plan for the future.
