    J M Stevens guitarist, singer-songwriter, audio engineer and producer is from West Point, Mississippi.  As a teenager J M had a near death experience that changed the course of his life. That course would lead him to a career in music.  In 1994 J M's brother suggested that he move to Austin, Texas. His brother was the lead guitar player for the band Blind Mellon.  J M was previously the lead singer for the Austin, Texas band Moonlight Towers.
