Q&A: Peptides for Breastfeeding, Postpartum Weight Loss, Cancer History & How to Build Your Stack | Her Stack Series

Biohacking with Brittany

In this Q&A episode of the Her Stack Series, I'm answering the peptide questions you're asking me every single day in my DMs and comments:  → Can I take peptides while breastfeeding? → What if I have a personal or family history of cancer? → Why won't my postpartum belly fat budge, even when I'm doing everything "right"? → Blends vs. single peptides, which is right for me? → How do I build my own peptide stack without ending up on eight injections a day? I'm unfiltered in this one. I share why there will never be clinical trials on peptides during breastfeeding (and what that really means for you when you're making the decision), the truth about growth hormone, IGF-1, and theoretical cancer risk, and my honest take on why most peptide advice from men completely misses the mark for women. Join The Mother's Protocol Program for women-specific guidance on peptides, hormones, and longevity. Sol Luckman Uncensored

Michael Drew (Guest)CALI THE DESTROYER is a bold and highly stylized work of visionary fiction that blends dystopian themes, mythological symbolism, and speculative romance into a provocative and imaginative narrative. Sol Luckman constructs a world that is both futuristic and allegorical, using heightened reality to explore control systems, awakening, and resistance. At its core, the story presents a reality where societal structures have collapsed into a controlled, surveillance driven “Fatherland,” shaped by patriarchal power, hidden forces, and distorted systems of authority. Against this backdrop, the narrative introduces Cali and Juice, characters whose connection becomes both personal and mythic, suggesting a bond that transcends ordinary time and identity. What makes the book distinctive is its fusion of genres and tones. It moves between dystopian critique, supernatural romance, and spiritual allegory, often within the same narrative space. This gives the novel a surreal, almost dreamlike quality, where symbolic meaning often carries as much weight as plot progression.Thematically, the book is driven by ideas of awakening, resistance, and hidden truth. It explores what happens when individuals begin to question the systems around them and perceive reality as something constructed rather than fixed. The introduction of mythological and Gnostic elements amplifies this sense of revelation, positioning the story as both a rebellion narrative and a metaphysical journey. The romantic element between Cali and Juice adds emotional intensity and grounding to the broader philosophical themes. Their connection is framed as timeless and foundational, reinforcing the idea that identity and love can exist beyond imposed structures.Overall, CALI THE DESTROYER is a visionary and symbolic dystopian novel that will strongly appeal to readers who enjoy metaphysical fiction, myth driven storytelling, speculative rebellion narratives, and experimental blends of romance and philosophy. What happens when a clinician decides that traditional residential treatment isn't enough for adolescent girls struggling with trauma? In this episode Will talks with Kami Black, founder of ROOTs Transition in Park City. Founded during the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic, ROOTs Transition was built around a bold idea: combine the healing power of nature, intensive family systems work, and trauma-informed residential care into one integrated model for adolescent girls ages 15–18. Kami shares how her own experiences, years in residential treatment, and deep commitment to trauma work shaped a program focused not just on behaviors like anxiety, eating disorders, substance use, and depression—but on the underlying developmental and relational trauma driving them. Throughout the conversation, Kami offers a thoughtful and nuanced look at how trauma actually develops in young people and why many traditional behavioral approaches can miss the deeper issues. She explains ROOTs' emphasis on family engagement, outdoor integration, emotional regulation, and helping girls reconnect with themselves in a culture increasingly shaped by social media pressure, comparison, and disconnection. This episode is especially valuable for parents, clinicians, educational consultants, and anyone interested in innovative approaches to helping adolescent girls heal from trauma while building resilience, self-worth, and healthier relationships. This podcast is supported by White Mountain Adventure Institute (wmai.org), offering adventure inspired retreats and coaching for men and facilitated by Will White.

They work toward a future that enables them to realize intentional creative endeavors and encourage joy within collaborative spaces such as museums, theaters, and unseen spaces. In their practice, they are currently drawn to notions of tradition, dissolving the binary, making noise, and breaking the barrier between artist and audience. Reed's sophomore LP, CUNTRY, is a sprawling folk-electronic offering exploring the rage that comes with grappling with the grips of labor — both on the body and in the American workplace. The album is just the beginning of the story — introducing a young, visionary artist with a singular voice and an unwavering commitment to honoring those that came before while subverting the status quo. We would love to hear from you! Text "BBMFAM" to (312) 300-1300.A tiny restaurant can hold a whole neighborhood together if the intention is right. We're back in the studio for Season 11, and we're joined by Chef Chloe Gould, the owner of Dixie Pura Kitchen, a Black-owned restaurant tucked into Chicago's Bronzeville community. Chloe doesn't just cook, she translates. Her “Southern meets Southeast Asian” approach turns familiar comfort into a cultural bridge, and the dining room feels like home on purpose, right down to the photos on the walls and the conversations that make guests forget the clock. We go deep on the story behind the name Dixie Pura, how Singapore shaped her palette, and how grief, a kidney transplant, and personal loss reshaped her relationship with food, work, and joy. Chloe also breaks down what people rarely see: the kitchen ladder from prep to line cook to sous chef, the business math behind food costs, and the reality of running service with a lean team while still protecting the guest experience. Then we get practical and timely about technology in restaurants. What happens when robots deliver plates, staffing stays unstable, and AI tools become the “extra set of hands” small businesses can't afford? We talk sustainability, training costs, and why human touch still matters, plus a bigger community play: how collective buying power could help Black-owned restaurants protect margins without cutting corners. If you're planning a Chicago food trip, looking for a Bronzeville gem, or building a business and need a real founder story, press play. A stoic philosopher assembles a coven of middle aged single women in her Manhattan apartment building, she is working for an uber-wealthy family and feeling “wide and well," when she is suddenly drawn into a mysterious romance that takes her into the world of possible art thieves, weapons dealers and double agents, one of whom she happens to be falling for. This all goes down while she desperately tries to reconcile her beloved Epictetus and Seneca with her increasingly emotional choices. Okay, maybe you haven’t heard that one. In this episode of the Admittedly Podcast, Thomas Caleel breaks down one of the most misunderstood parts of college admissions: extracurricular activities. Families often believe there is a "perfect list" of activities that guarantees admission to selective colleges. In reality, admissions officers are not evaluating what students do, they are evaluating how students engage. Thomas explains why depth, ownership, and genuine curiosity matter far more than checking boxes, and why students often weaken their applications by spreading themselves too thin. He discusses the difference between performative activities and meaningful experiences, how to think strategically about summer programs, and why real-world experiences like part-time jobs often provide stronger signals than expensive enrichment programs. Listeners will learn how to evaluate activities through the lens of academic interests, how to refine involvement over time, and why intentional engagement is one of the strongest ways students can stand out in an increasingly competitive applicant pool. Key Takeaways • There is no universal "best" extracurricular list for college admissions. • Admissions officers evaluate depth, initiative, and impact... not just participation. • Doing fewer activities with greater intentionality often produces stronger outcomes. • Summer programs only add value when they connect to broader intellectual exploration. • Entry-level jobs can demonstrate responsibility, resilience, and real-world maturity. • Students should pursue activities aligned with genuine academic curiosity. • Authentic engagement is far more compelling than performative résumé-building. Strong extracurricular profiles are built through curiosity, ownership, and sustained engagement over time. Students who pursue meaningful experiences develop both stronger applications and stronger preparation for college-level work and independence. In this episode of Maximize Your Hunt, host Jon Teater discusses effective land management strategies for hunting properties, emphasizing the importance of focusing efforts on the most impactful areas. He shares insights on building food plots, understanding soil and plant interactions, and the significance of plant diversity in creating a balanced ecosystem. Practical tips for developing effective seed blends and maximizing hunting success are also provided, encouraging listeners to adopt a holistic approach to land management. Learn how to save time and effort, with a no till crimping and system that allows for planting within hours and not days.  Takeaways We should be spending 90% of our efforts on 90% of the things that create opportunity. Creating thermal neutrality is essential for deer movement. Food plots should provide a diversity of resources, not just deer food. Soil health is critical for successful food plots. A balanced plant profile is crucial for attracting deer. Building a seed blend that works requires understanding plant roles. A four-dimensional approach to planting is beneficial. The least disruptive systems are the most efficient for land management. Time saved in food plot management can be redirected to other important tasks.
