Ok, so before you listen to this episode you need to know a couple things. This was recorded the night before the Midwinter Mayhem RTT, and there may have been a fair bit of alcohol fuelling the entire thing. Roma and I make cameos, with our friends doing most of the heavy lifting. I haven't evening listened to the whole thing before posting, possibly a career ending move, but we shall see. So please, enjoy.

In this engaging episode of Living a Legacy, host Eric sits down with acclaimed actor Kevin Weisman, best known for his iconic role as Marshall Flinkman on the hit series Alias. Kevin shares his journey through television, from his early days working with J.J. Abrams on Felicity to becoming one of the five core cast members who appeared in all five seasons of Alias alongside Jennifer Garner, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, and Carl Lumbly. The conversation reveals Kevin's deep appreciation for the craft and the legendary talents he's worked with throughout his career.Kevin Weisman opens up about the secret to his success in Hollywood: authenticity and commitment. Drawing from his theater training at Circle in the Square in New York, Kevin explains how he approaches every role with honesty rather than relying on tricks or gimmicks. He shares memorable experiences working with industry giants like Billy Bob Thornton on Goliath, Quentin Tarantino, Faye Dunaway, and Ethan Hawke on Alias, and discusses his unique approach to improvisation within scripted dialogue. Kevin's philosophy of "just committing" to choices, even when they might be mistakes, has led to some of his most memorable on-screen moments. The discussion delves into Kevin's extensive television career beyond Alias, including his work on Scorpion alongside Elias Koteas, The Blacklist, and his collaboration with comedy legends like Stephen Merchant on Hello Ladies. Kevin reflects on his friendship with Jack Black from their UCLA theater school days and his musical endeavors with Kyle Gass of Tenacious D in their band Trainwreck. These connections highlight the collaborative nature of Kevin's career and his commitment to building genuine relationships in the industry.Throughout the conversation, Kevin emphasizes the importance of being a good listener and staying present in the moment, skills that serve him not only as an actor but also in his personal life and relationships with his children. He discusses the evolution of television production, comparing the cinematic quality of Alias shot on 35mm film to today's HD productions, and shares insights into the fast-paced nature of television work where actors must shoot eight pages of dialogue per day and be ready to commit fully to their performances. The episode concludes with Kevin Weisman sharing his legacy vision: to be remembered as someone authentic who made people laugh and truly listened to others. He encourages listeners to support Save the Children and No Kid Hungry, organizations working to ensure children have access to meals, especially those who rely on school lunch programs. Kevin's passion for giving back through charity work, combined with his dedication to authentic storytelling, creates a powerful message about living a legacy of impact both on and off screen.
Guest: Vishwas Manral, CEO at Precize.ai Topic: Why is agent security so different from "just" LLM security? Why now? Agents are coming, sure, but they are - to put it mildly - not in wide use. Why create a top 10 list now and not wait for people to make the mistakes? It sounds like "agents + IAM" is a disaster waiting to happen. What should be our approach for solving this? Do we have one? Which one agentic AI risk keeps you up at night? Is there an interesting AI shared responsibility angle here? Agent developer, operator, downstream system operator? In this episode of The Huddle Breakdown Extra Time, we dissect the unconvincing 1-0 victory over Falkirk and ask if the "chaos" has actually left with Wilfried Nancy. James explains why he is "offended as an analyst" by the double standard in how the performance is being judged compared to the previous regime, while Alan praises John McGlynn's "Gasperini-esque" tactics that put Celtic under the most pressure since 2019. We also launch a scathing critique of the "grossly incompetent" transfer strategy, debating why Sean Maloney is being left to run a window he isn't qualified for, and why we desperately need four "competent" signings to save the league title.Want to support the channel? - https://huddlebreakdown.comLike this video and want more content like it? It is a heavy-hitting Thursday on What's On Your Mind as the news cycle moves at a breakneck pace between the Twin Cities and the Big Apple. Guest host Steve Hallstrom steps in for Scott Hennen, who is on a special assignment in Minneapolis to interview U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The episode centers on the tragic and volatile fallout of a fatal ICE officer-involved shooting in Minneapolis, an event that has ignited a firestorm of political rhetoric and public unrest. The show features a raw, real-time look at a press conference from New York City with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Noem delivers a defiant defense of law enforcement, clashing with New York's socialist leadership and addressing what she calls the "train wreck" of corruption and fraud in Minnesota. From the "Don-Roe Doctrine" on the world stage to the "radicalization" of local protesters, this episode explores the deep cultural divide between those calling for "warm collectivism" and those demanding a return to law and order. Standout Moments & Timestamps [00:03:15] – The "Chaos" Narrative Steve Hallstrom breaks down the immediate media and political reaction to the Minneapolis shooting, arguing that the left "wants disorder" to raise money and recruit followers, while the silent majority is desperate for a return to civil order. [00:10:45] – Kristi Noem's "New York Minute" Live from a NYC press conference, Secretary Noem fires back at Mayor Zoran Mamdani and other Democratic leaders, accusing them of "doing the devil's work" by siding with illegal residents over tax-paying American citizens. [00:13:20] – The "Train Wreck" of Minnesota Noem pulls no punches regarding the state of Minnesota, calling it "corrupt" and highlighting the multi-billion dollar fraud scandals that she claims were allowed to flourish under the leadership of Governor Tim Walz. [00:27:15] – Vehicles as Weapons A deep dive into the specifics of the Minneapolis incident. Noem confirms that the vehicle in question was used to ram an officer and that the administration will no longer tolerate the "siege" on federal agents, citing a 1,150% increase in assaults on ICE. [00:33:45] – The "Legal Observer" Rebrand Steve discusses the "hijacking" of language by activists, debating how the term "legal observer" is being used as a shield for those inciting violence during deportation proceedings. [00:46:15] – Scott Bessent's "Eyes on the Ground" An update on Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's visit to the Twin Cities to witness the economic…

How did Celtic turn Motherwell into Real Madrid? In this New Year's Day episode of The Huddle Breakdown Extra Time, we react to the humiliating 2-0 defeat against Motherwell, asking if Wilfried Nancy's rotation policy caused a "train wreck" or if the hysteria is ignoring the fitness reality. James and Alan use "packing scores" to reveal the historic extent of the performance failure—comparable to Champions League drubbings—before launching a passionate defense of Paul Tisdale against the "civil war" narratives blaming him for the last three transfer windows. Finally, we preview the massive Glasgow Derby against Rangers, analyzing Danny Rohl's defensive turnaround and how Celtic can exploit it. OA1219 - This year we are celebrating Boxing Day by not doing whatever people are supposed to do on Boxing Day and talking about weed instead. Did Donald Trump really just finish out 2025 by doing something good for US drug policy? We hotbox some Time Machine to revisit Matt's analysis from last May of Joe “Grandaddy Purple” Biden's announcement that he was initiating the long process to have the federal government to reclassify OG Kush from its current legal status as Green Crack down to the same category as metabolic steroids. We then return to the present to check in on the weirdly unreported story on how Biden's efforts went from Blue Dream to Trainwreck in the year after his big announcement before evaluating Trump's chances of turning cannabis policy Panama Red. Finally, in a seasonal footnote Matt shares the story of how the city of Boston fired the first shots on the War on Christmas… in 1659. Katja wrote this essay years and years ago, and it's still a favorite. Today she needed to hear it again – yeah, you can do that with your own writing, it's allowed, don't worry – and she decided to share it with you. It's about how so many of us think we're the only trainwreck in any given room, and how we all have That Person in our lives (or just in our minds) who seems to really Have It All Together. Why can't I just get it together like That Person?, you think, like everyone does. Like even That Person does, Themselves, sometimes. Like someone might very well be thinking about… you! We are all trainwrecks. Outward appearances aren't the whole story, and it's hard to get to know the people around us. So this experience is super common. But don't worry! There's a lot we can do about it, starting with acknowledging the reality, then asking for help, then getting outside… and also – never doubt it – with a drink of tea. Some of our favorite nervines for these feelings include tulsi, betony, and calamus – but finding your own favorite herbs for these moments is the best way to help yourself.Need to reign in your trainwreck?Check out our Neurological & Emotional Health course. This course is a user's guide to your nerves & your emotions – including the difficult and dark ones, the falling apart ones, the total disaster ones. We discuss holistic herbal strategies for addressing both neurological & psychological health issues. It includes a lengthy discussion of herbal pain management strategies, too!Like all our offerings, this is a self-paced online video course, which comes with free access to twice-weekly live Q&A sessions, lifetime access to current & future course material, twice-weekly live Q&A sessions with us, open discussion threads integrated in each lesson, an active student community, study guides, quizzes & capstone assignments, and more!If you have a moment, it would help us a lot if you could subscribe, rate, & review our podcast wherever you listen. IT WAS GONNA BE A REALLY GOOD REALITY SHOW, FAM, WE SWEAR TO GODDESS! Ugh, in 2010, Lifetime TV ordered 8 episodes of a show called PI Moms. And it was supposed to be just as badass as it sounds: A group of women kicking ass, taking names, and solving crimes. The only problem is that WE CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD, and so it turns out, the whole enterprise was being run by a guy who not only didn't actually care about the show, but was also BUYING AND THEN SELLING DRUGS FROM A DIRTY COP, annnnnnnnd a completely different egomaniac dude was trying to derail the whole thing because the producers wouldn't make a show called PI MOMS ABOUT HIM. Like, you really can't make this stuff up. And there's a reason this (amazing) series is called Trainwreck. Ugh. ANYWAY GET READY TO HEAR US SCREAM FOR AN HOUR (sorry for yelling). In the Delphi murders case, the public has only ever been shown one version of events — a clean timeline, a single suspect, and an investigation that supposedly marched in a straight line toward justice. But once you start digging into the actual depositions of the investigators who built the case against Richard Allen, that clean version evaporates fast. What's underneath is something entirely different: a fractured investigation full of contradictions, missing evidence, conflicting statements, and decisions that make you wonder how much of the original truth ever had a chance to survive. Today, we're taking you deep inside the sworn testimony and filings that the public was never meant to examine this closely. What did investigators really say under oath? Why do key officials contradict each other about major decisions — including whether the FBI was pushed out of the case? Why were crucial witness statements reshaped before being used in a search-warrant affidavit? Why were important leads labeled “no further action” despite red-flag behavior? Why were symbolic elements at the crime scene barely documented? And how did evidence end up in court without the chain-of-custody clarity you'd expect in a double-homicide investigation? This isn't about guilt or innocence. It's about process — whether the investigation that led to Richard Allen's conviction was built on solid ground or on decisions that shifted depending on who was asking the questions. And when you open the actual language inside these depositions, you start to see exactly why the integrity of this case is being challenged at the appellate level. Was the investigation thorough? Was it objective? Was it consistent? Or did pressure, confusion, and internal conflict bend the foundation long before the trial ever began? Today, we go through it all — in detail, in context, and with the clarity this case deserves. If you care about the truth in Delphi, you're going to want to hear this. #Delphi #DelphiMurders #AbbyAndLibby #TrueCrime #RichardAllenCase #LegalAnalysis #CrimeInvestigation #Depositions #JusticeSystem #HiddenKillers Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? This week is all about failure. Jodi and Nora start out with some of our developing stories, including that dapper (non-)detective who has turned out to be 15 years old (8:59), Aaron Rodgers's pretty fake-seeming wife (14:07), the ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don't' illusion popcorn bucket (18:10), and the ‘Marty Supreme' trailer and press tour (20:15). Then they get into the two big flops of this week: Sydney Sweeney with her GQ interview and flop new movie ‘Christy' (28:15) and Kim Kardashian's failure to pass the bar (again) and her insanely bad lawyer show, ‘All's Fair' (41:06). Finally, they award their Good Neighbor of the Week to the ‘Wicked: For Good' press tour and sponsored product collaborations (1:12:50), before each sharing their personal obsessions for this week (1:29:01). From a Long Island teen interviewing his comedy heroes on a high school radio station to the producer, director, and writer behind The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Anchorman, Trainwreck, and more, Judd Apatow is a modern-day comedy icon. He sits down with Willie Geist at New York's Gotham Comedy Club to trace his rise to fame, from the tough early years and the mentorship of Garry Shandling to how the cancellation of Freaks and Geeks ultimately helped launch a generation of stars. Apatow also talks about his new scrapbook-style book Comedy Nerd, his love of stand-up, and his deep dive into documentaries, including new films on Mel Brooks and Norm Macdonald. Along the way, he reflects on how setbacks shaped his success, and the persistence that's kept him creating for more than two decades. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
