This week we had the honor of being in conversation with Jasiri X. He is a hip-hop artist and activist who gained national notoriety for his song, "Free the Jena 6." He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Robert Rauschenberg Award. In addition to creating music, Jasiri is the co-founder of 1Hood Media , a collective of socially conscious artists and activists who utilize art to raise awareness of issues impacting marginalized communities. During our conversation, we talked with Jasiri about the relationship between his passion in music, and his existence as a Black man in this country.

She is a bilingual and multicultural Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Life Coach. Her work focuses on cultivating resilience and using it as a tool of empowerment within each client to guide them in transforming their own mindsets, emotions, and relationships. During this interview, we talk with Dr. Dominguez about her experiences being multiracial and bilingual, learning to survive in multiple spaces, as well as how she is using her multicultural gifts with her clients.
