In this episode of Live Through Love Podcast, Ruben sits down with holistic wellness expert Kimberly Snyder about enoughness, emotional and physical wellbeing, relationships, intuition, introspection, and spirituality. Although we all inherently are enough, our society struggles with a lack of self-worth, driven primarily by fear. Whenever we become hyper-aware of media messages implying that we aren't attractive, fit, or manly enough, or continue to consume content that drives us to compare ourselves with others, not only do we jeopardize our self-worth, we also keep trying to buy new things or achieve more to increase our worth, which does not work. “The reason we're so susceptible to the marketing and we think we're not enough is because we over identify with what the Yogis call the ego, the show. Like you were saying, Ruben, what we look like, how much money we have, what we've achieved. And when we do that, we're never off the hamster wheel. There's never enough.” - Kimberly Snyder Having mixed heritage, Kimberly felt like she did not fit in from birth, causing her to embark on a journey of self-discovery with the goal of becoming comfortable with herself. Although we live in these constructs of some people being inferior to others, Kimberly believes that in reality we are all equal yet unique, and that's a good thing.  “Not only are we enough, but we're all unique.” - Kimberly Snyder Kimberly aims to remind people that despite the fact that we can always improve ourselves, our self-worth does not depend on what we do, how we look, or what we achieve, and we already possess such a special gift in being uniquely ourselves. Kimberly recognizes that in the personal development space, finding information is easy, but putting it into practice is more difficult. Her goal is to make incorporating the practices that she has discovered to help in life simple for people to do.  SUBSCRIBE to Live Through Love so you never miss an episode & RATE/REVIEW it on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube. Joanna Siekiera is an international lawyer and Doctor of Social Sciences in public policy sciences. She studied under a New Zealand Government scholarship at the Victoria University in Wellington. Her specialization is legal and political relations in the South Pacific, and the law of armed conflict. She is prodigious author, having written a book, co-authored three monographs, over 90 scientific publications in several languages, and over 40 legal analyses. In today’s podcast, we explore the legal aspects of Multi-Domain Operations and the protection of civilians, what we can learn from the on-going war in Ukraine as it pertains to U.S. policy and legal implications, and her concerns about security and policy in the Indo-Pacific. The following bullet points highlight key insights from our interview: Dr. Siekiera’s goal is to advise commanders on how to lawfully accomplish their military aims by understanding legal possibilities. Law is important, both as a discipline and within the context of society. Societal and cultural context help us to accurately analyze a conflict and understand the initial ideas and values that send countries to war, in order to respond appropriately and proportionally. There are no ethics in international law – one country’s system of values may not translate to another, creating differences in approaches to the law of armed conflict. Context and history can teach us why countries may see things differently and help to predict further actions. Dr. Siekiera uses the terms “East” and “West” not to divide but to make people aware that the two are not the same. Assuming that an adversary shares your cultural values is a dangerous and misleading bias — mirror-imaging — that threatens security. Alliances between nations are maintained when a shared identity is fostered. The legal aspects of Multi-Domain Operations and the protection of civilians are not being treated with the requisite importance. Although international laws exist to protect civilians in armed conflicts, a nation that does not hold the same values cannot be relied upon to comply with these otherwise widely accepted humanitarian laws. This must be recognized when planning all aspects of military operations. China – the biggest threat not only to western civilization but to NATO – slowly influences economic and societal changes in surrounding nations, quietly creating a military threat decades before it is recognized. Although NATO falls outside the Indo-Pacific region, China is still a threat through its

In the mid-century era from World War II (or even before that) to around 1990, America had a mass market common consumer culture. With the fragmentation of that culture accelerating post-1990s, the upper middle class and middle class began to develop distinct cultures and folkways. Even removing race and politics as factors of division would not address this, because even among whites, the upper middle class and middle class now have different and incompatible definitions of the good life. This creates local political dissension and perverse incentives in areas like land use.

(1:30) He also got into doing YouTube videos about health. He eventually learned that most facilities don't actually care for their residents; he gives an example. (4:15) At one point he finally woke up about how his own health wasn't great. (5:15) They discuss things like hunger management, sugar addiction, and more. (7:00) They chat about stacking medications and the side effects. (10:30)  Many doctors only talk about medicine as treatment, and never talk about prevention and nutrition. (22:00) They discuss how there should be profit from results, not from prescribing meds all the time. (24:45) There is a discussion about low-carb doctors who are now speaking out because they got tired of the "standard of care" that was around them. (27:00) They discuss the topic of fat shaming and the messages all over social media. It is never good to fat shame; however, it's never good to say that morbid obesity is healthy. Alan calls much of the messaging across social media "societal lies" and explains. The conversation switches to weight loss medications and the damage they are doing already.
