When Jesus got involved, the demons couldn’t handle it anymore. Isn’t it time that you rebuked some demons and defeats out of your life?
Paul learned through his experiences that he could by trusting in God and His power and provisions. Whatever you are facing right now, let me tell you, you can! You just have to believe!
Maybe we need a little renewal and reviving in our lives and in our church! We need to pray that God will raise us up and resurrect His church!
How many times have you stood in this very church feeling the Holy Spirit run through and, just before a physical action took place, you stopped it--because you did not want to be the one? But, then when you left this church all you could think of was, "Man, I wish I would have gone to the altar. I wish I would have raised my hands to the Lord. I wish I would have said 'amen.' The Lord was leading me to move and I stood still."?
What has God spoken to you today that you need to Renew Your Commitments on from a scriptural point of view?
Today is the day to choose whether your circumstances will be joy stealer or joy fillers.
Are you going to continue on with the mindset that you have been set back or are you going to see it as a set up for something higher? God has a plan for you to not only survive but to thrive.
If we are going to get first things first in our lives, it starts with where our first love and passion is. Will you renew your passion for the Lord today and make Him your first love?
If you want to go into this year with a good foundation, then change any stinking thinking into positive, productive thinking. Let’s get rid of the attitude of I stink; You stink; life stinks!
Only when you understand that this describes you can you understand that God’s gift is the Greatest and “Gracest Gift of All!” It is then that your life will “Come Alive!”
Luke 1:39:56 NKJV As I have been speaking on “The Gift”, one of the sweetest gifts that God has given us is the gift of praise. Praise makes God feel good and it makes us feel good also. Probably the most universal sign of praise is raising our hands to the Lord. When a Christian […]
Matt. 2:1-11 (NKJV) Dating and relationship experts study and evaluate many different areas that impact the relationship building. One of those areas is the giving and the meaning behind the gift, especially as it relates to men giving women gifts. They have found that the gift needn’t be all that expensive to indicate that the […]
Luke 2:1-14 (NKJV) Every year around Thanksgiving time, members of the family will send out an email asking for everyone’s Wish List. In one of those emails this year there was a link to the Wish List of the members in their family. One of the lists had an added note, which identified one particular […]
2 Cor. 9:10-15 (NKJV) One of my grandkids received a bag of their favorite treats for Christmas one year. I was thinking that they would try to eat them all at once and get sick, so we would have to keep an eye out for them. To my surprise, without any encouragement, he gave all […]
Is. 43:1-7 (NKJV) Have you ever felt like the story of your life has become too overwhelming? Everyday life is more than you can handle and recent events in your life seem to be sucking the life out of you. You start to dwell on everything and fear sets in. The fear that you can’t […]
Don’t let the circumstances of life in a moment confuse you in to fearing someone or something instead of fearing the Lord that gives us light, salvation and strength.
Fear is a liar, so don’t let fear tell you that you can not overcome your fears.
What is your decision today? Will you fear men or God? Will you be motivated by your own desires or God’s desires?
I believe that our pastor is a modern day Moses but I believe that God also calls us to be “Modern day Moses” and lead people out of bondage and lead them to a life with God and lead them also to the “promised land flowing with milk and honey” (Exodus 33:3). The life with God is so much better than the life without God and we all need to try to lead people to that life.
Fear imprisons us to worry about life, but Faith empowers us to enjoy life. Which do you choose? I choose to fear not, worry not and be anxious for nothing.
2 Cor. 10:3-7 NKJV Obedience is a word that a lot of adults don’t like to associate with their lives, unless it is referring to their children being obedient to them or their pet following what they say. Yet the Bible tells us in John 10:27 that Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice and […]
Matt. 9:35-38 NKJV In 1994 Kevin Carter won the Pulitzer Prize for a photo he took in Sudan during the hunger crisis. The photo was a small child lying on the ground in hunger with a vulture in the background watching. This photo touched many lives to the crisis there in Sudan. In Matt. 9, […]
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NKJV These scriptures remind us that we are better and stronger together, just like a cord is better and stronger when there are three strands rather than one. The description of our threefold cord. The obligation of our threefold cord. The seriousness of our threefold cord.
Acts 2:42-47 (NIV) What does it mean to be a fellowship of believers? Some people would say that it just means to be a member of a church. Is that all there is to be a fellowship of believers or is there more to it than that? There are many people that just get focused […]
What is needing in your life today to win the battle?
Today I want you to learn from my experiences of who we are as a church.
Today is your day to chose to let go of everything that is holding you back and follow Him!
Does your family truly serve the Lord? Is it about time that you made that choice?
I want to share with you, today, my testimony from my trial that I went through and some lessons that I learned at a deeper level.
Faith, Hope, and Love are so essential to our faith that they are so often overlooked. As a matter of fact, today we don’t give much thought to them especially the one that the Bible tells us is “the greatest”- love.
God is shining His light on you today to reveal the darkness you have been in and to give you the opportunity to step out of the darkness and into His glorious light. (Testimony by Nick Souther)
Matt. 11:1-6 (NIV) Have you ever had doubts about the decisions you’ve made concerning the direction of your life? The truth is, most people have experienced doubts about their lives. A survey of people in their 20s showed that they had questioned themselves about getting married too early, whether they married the right person or […]
Temptation’s Trail will usually start out with something that seems somewhat of an innocent pleasure and end up with something of an enormous problem. If you are going down Temptation’s Trail right now, isn’t it time that you stop in your tracks and get things right? No matter what point you are on along Temptation’s Trail, now is the time to stop and get on the right path! You will be glad that you did!
Isn’t it time that you decided to overcome your temptations because you want to please God, to do better for yourself, your spouse and your family. Pleasing God and being obedient to Him should be our motivation to overcome temptation.
1 Cor. 10:1-13 NKJV If I were to ask who all have ever experienced temptation in their life, every hand would have to be raised. That’s because everyone has been tempted in some area of their life. Temptations are common to everyone. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:15 that even Jesus was tempted as […]
1 Cor. 13:11-13 (NKJV) Have you ever heard the expression, “Oh Grow Up!”? Some of you have not only heard the expression, but you’ve also used it yourself. It is closely tied with the expression, “Quit acting like a baby!”. We usually use those expressions when someone as an adult, is not behaving in the […]
Eph. 4:26-5:4 (NKJV) The name Family Feud usually makes people think of the well-known game show by that name. It’s a game where two families compete against each other to identify the most common answer to certain survey questions. However, today I want to address anger and issues that create feuds in the family. A […]
Matthew 1:1-17; Luke 3:23-38 (NIV) God used a lot of imperfect people to fulfill HIS perfect will. God used a lot of unfortunate situations to fulfill HIS perfect will. God knew all along, exactly what He was doing. God is using your imperfect family to get you where you need to be. God is using […]
Gen. 27:41-45 (NKJV) Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering and honoring people who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Most people in the United States will get this day off as a holiday. Even though I believe most people know the meaning behind Memorial Day, […]
Judges 2:7-14, Judges 3:7 (NKJV) I’ve often heard in my life that the possibility exists that the next generation may never hear or know about the Gospel. How can that be? How can that happen? The Israelite children are an example of that happening. What led them to be for a time a lost generation? […]
Prov. 31:1-9 (NKJV) Amy Chua made The New York Times Best Sellers list in 2011 for her book, Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Chua is a mother of two girls, Sophia and Lulu. She is also a law professor at Yale Law School and is married to Jeb Rubenfeld, another professor at Yale Law […]
Luke 22:1-20 (NKJV) Have you ever experienced someone coming up to you unexpectedly with a gift and as they are approaching, you are wondering what that gift is for? They extend the gift to you and you say the words, what is this for? Then they respond with the words that change everything, the words, […]
Matt. 10:5-16, Matt. 28:18-20 (KJV) We are more equipped today than the disciples were when Jesus sent them out. People are so distracted in today’s society that they never stop to think about eternity.
John 19:25-37 (NKJV) In John 19 it tells us the story of Jesus’ beating, interrogation, crucifixion, and burial. Today I want to look at verses 25 through 37, but focus on three specific words in verse 30 and that is “It Is Finished.” Although there are many translations of the Bible that you can read, […]
Matt. 5:13-16 (NKJV) Have you ever heard the expression that someone is a “no good, good for nothing?” It is a reference for someone that a person feels is basically useless and doesn’t do anything good. They are good for accomplishing nothing. There is also an expression that a person is “good for nothing” that’s […]
Matt. 16:13-20 (NKJV) Looking at the scriptures in Matthew 16:13, we see Jesus and His disciples sitting around in Caesarea and Jesus asks a unique question to the disciples. Who does everyone say that I, the Son of Man, am? This would be kind of like a popular opinion poll. The answer that the disciples […]
2 Kings 5:1-14 (NKJV) We have been on a sermon series called Areas of Patchy Fog and looking at how fog affects our lives and the areas that can become a little patchy. When we run into fog, it causes us to lose visibility and to react differently than we normally would. Today we look at […]
2 Kings 6:8-23 (NKJV) In our series on Areas of Patchy Fog, we know that fog dramatically affects our visibility. When there is no fog we have high visibility and when there is dense fog our visibility becomes low, meaning we can’t see very far in front of us. Our visibility or how we see […]
Ps. 42:1-11 (NKJV) During the month of March, I have been preaching on the theme, Areas of Patchy Fog. Looking at areas of our life that can become foggy. Today I want to look at Ps. 42 and talk about being In A Fog. In the movie Courageous, the main family of the movie is […]
