(Part 2): How much can your tender heart hold? Healing from heartbreak challenges you to love yourself in ways that can feel unnatural after experiencing the trauma + grief from loss of what you once loved, which can also lead to loss of Self. These defining moments (think the Tower card in Tarot) ask you to face the reality + beauty in the unknowing. To surrender the control of what should have happened, and lean into your inner Gypsy spirit. In this wildly beautiful and intimate conversation with singer/songwriter Veronica Graham, we uncover what it means to reinvent yourself after heartbreak, and how she uses the frequency and feeling of her music and lyrics to channel grief, deep soul healing, and a love for herself that defies all odds. I found Veronica in watching an episode of HGTV's House Hunters “Remote Living” and felt her spirit without even knowing her story. I felt a deep calling to reach out, as if I knew her as my soul sister in another realm. Her dynamic between her and her father's, who she calls her “rock” through life's challenges was incredibly inspiring and I hope you find peace in your heart from this conversation + our spiritual synergy!!! A true joy to release this on my birthday week! If you've felt a deep desire to reinvent yourself, and gather the pieces of what feels lost, this episode will bring you life again! The Fourth sermon in the series titled "Come Alive", with Campus Pastor Kellen Anderson.
Life's unpredictable challenges can leave us feeling spiritually wrecked and abandoned by God. Drawing wisdom from the disciples' experience after Jesus' ascension, we discover three vital tactics for navigating spiritual struggles: staying connected through consistent prayer, remaining driven through Scripture reading, and maintaining orientation through worship. These practices aren't merely survival tools - they position our hearts to receive from God. Even in moments of spiritual wreckage, God remains present and sovereign, working through His Spirit in believers today. ALIVE has been revived - Welcome to Season 2 of the podcast!!! After much introspection + and an inner calling to take a step back from the show last September 2024 (the 4 Year Anniversary celebration episode #133), I have had many divine downloads + fresh perspectives that I'm excited to unleash here JUST FOR YOU! It also felt divinely timed to release in May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month + my birth month! (May 12th) Opening Season 2 is a divinely inspired conversation with Sarah Lynne Mosser, Reiki Master, Quantum Healer, and Energy Intuitive, also known as @sincerelyspiritual on Instagram. As the title alludes, we deep dive into what it means to be a soul having a human experience, and how to navigate this Age of Aquarius, or Golden Age consciousness for those who are feeling the frequencies and calling to RISE into this new reality we are all experiencing as a collective. Sarah and I also explore the concepts of seeking validation, and why society puts people on pedestals which is evolving more into the energies of "only the authentic + real will survive", as Sarah says, and the downfall of the Hollywood/guru mentality! Also deeply intriguing in the spirit of inner child therapy is the concept of "Crystal Children" and what it means to Live in Your Dharma, or your destined soul's calling. About Sarah Lynne Mosser: I'm a Reiki Master, living in Austin, TX. I'm originally from California, I have a degree in Psychology and a 5 year old son who is a crystal child. I had my true spiritual awakening 10 years ago. A lifelong empath, who is now fully understanding and stepping into my intuitive gifts. I'm a constant seeker and lover of astrology, numerology, oracle cards, and everything multidimensional. I also read auras and work with clients on energy and spiritual healing. When I Really Come Alive - Wildflowers
Life often leads us down unexpected paths, taking us away from where we intended to be in our relationships, emotions, finances, and faith. When we head in the wrong direction, we're essentially moving away from Jesus, yet He actively pursues us and walks alongside us, even when we don't recognize Him. Through Scripture and His presence, Jesus works to redirect our path and create a burning desire in our hearts for Him. By examining our lives, releasing our limited perspective, and intentionally pursuing Jesus, we can find our way back to the right path. Failure can feel like drowning in a sea of shame and regret, but there's always hope for redemption. Through Peter's story of denying Jesus and his subsequent restoration, we learn that failure isn't our final destination. Jesus meets us in our lowest moments, offering restoration and renewed purpose. By embracing grace and letting go of shame, we can move forward from our failures into a life of renewed purpose and meaning. The second sermon in the series titled "Come Alive", with Campus Pastor Kellen Anderson.
We were honored to welcome Unmani as our April 2025 Satsang guest. Her conversation with Anja Janssen was both inspiring and insightful, offering profound reflections that resonated deeply with our community.About UnmaniMeeting with Unmani is meeting with yourself in the most real and alive way. Unmani is originally from the UK, but has lived in many countries around the world. Since she was a child, Unmani didn't identify with being a separate individual, but assumed there was something wrong with her, until she came across the expression of Satsang and nonduality. Truth has always been her passion. Unmani had teachers including Osho, Dolano, Nathan Gill, Tony Parsons, Gangaji and several other amazing people who are not considered ‘teachers'.In 2013 she met her husband, the wonderful musician, and courageous lover of life, Robert Hanuman. In 2015 their son, Sky, was born. On 3rd January 2018, Robert Hanuman died suddenly from a heart attack while they were in India. Robert Hanuman's presence deeply influenced Unmani's teaching, and in the time they were together it evolved into a more human expression of the courage to live the paradox of the Absolute, living as this human. Robert put Unmani's words to his beautiful classical guitar music and Unmani still plays his songs at her meetings.Unmani has been holding meetings and retreats all over the world for since 2003, and in this time people have been deeply touched by her work: She meets each person exactly where they are at, and in whatever they need at the time, while at the same time holding them in the truth of who they really are beyond it all. This combination, and paradox, of the personal and impersonal, brings so much depth, openness and healing to people's lives. They wake up to who they really are, and discover how this is lived and integrated into their daily lives.Unmani has written 3 books “I am Life itself“, “Die to Love” and “The Courage to Come Alive”. Unmani holds regular meetings and retreats several times a year as well as monthly webinars on different themes. For more information about Unmani's work go to: www.die-to-love.comYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@UnmaniFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/unmaniInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/unmani_hyde/Robert Hanuman's music can be downloaded on iTunes here: https://music.apple.com/nl/artist/robert-hanuman/1329878840?l=enLove podcasts? Title: Come AliveSpeaker: Sam CasseseSeries: Easter/In Our PlacePassage: Colossians 2:13-14 Do you long to come alive? Does your soul thirst for a life that is filled with meaning; we're not talking a pain free life - that doesn't exist - or a life of hype moment after hype moment - that's exhausting. But inside we long for a life of consistent joy and contentment, a level of purpose that makes sense of the highs and the lows, gives meaning to the momentous and the mundane. Do you long to wake up from the dream and truly live a life that can be called life? There's only one place where this is found. As we celebrate the fact that Jesus was made alive, we're going to see where it is and how we can get there.
Pastor Bobby Schuller teaches on the power of the resurrection and its promise of new life. Discover how your life, no matter how marred, can be transformed and multiplied when surrendered to Christ, with today's message: "Come Alive."
"If we can inherit the trauma from our ancestors, then that means we can also inherit their wisdom, their goodness, their fortitude, their strength."Daria Burke would have had a very different life if she'd chosen to accept what seemed like her fate, but she knew innately that the addiction her parents struggled with and the neglect she endured didn't have to shape her future, too. In Daria's new book, Of My Own Making, she writes about the incredible path she carved for herself, from a life of poverty to a career in the C-suite.Daria and I discuss how she overcame her difficult childhood, the importance of therapy when working through trauma, and how she eventually learned to prioritize personal alignment over career ambition. Daria is a no-nonsense narrator, a wise teacher, and a beloved coach who shows us the stories we've told ourselves don't actually have to define our lives. Daria is a firestarter. To read more inspiring stories from Firestarters like Daria, preorder my book “Fired Up: How to Turn Your Spark Into a Flame and Come Alive at Any Age” at firedupbook.com.My new book Fired Up: How to Turn Your Spark Into a Flame and Come Alive at Any Age, is available for preorder! He created and produced, ‘The Cork Dorks'. The show was hosted with Adam and his good friend Jeremy West. It was the first of its kind. It began focusing on central coast wineries but as the show grew, so did their ability to travel and meet other winemakers they found everywhere from Napa to Bordeaux that adopted that same Central Coast quality of people willing to share their wines, and their stories. As the area's producer's grew, soon Adam's interview's covered everything from spirits, craft beer, cider, cuisine, hospitality, and more. Fast forward to today, the spirit and enthusiasm cultivated with the award winning show, is reborn as The Pour with Adam Montiel, this time independently, and unfettered by corporate authority leaving it even more free to share the journey of making wine more approachable and fun for everyone. "No matter what we navigate, adversities or joys alike, there are elements of who we are that are innate. I don't think they change just because circumstances change. I actually don't think we change at all. We just evolve."Mallory Weggemann was just 18 years old when a series of routine epidural injections for back pain left her with no movement from the waist down. Now, 17 years later, Mallory is a gold medal paralympian; an author, filmmaker and motivational speaker; and a fierce advocate for the disability community. In 2021, Mallory released her memoir LIMITLESS to share her journey and to empower others to overcome life's obstacles. And last year, Mallory and her husband released Watershed, a powerful documentary about her life story, including the couple's struggles with infertility. On top of that, Mallory brought home gold and silver medals from the Paralympic Games in Paris, making her a seven time medalist.During this conversation, Mallory and I discuss how she fell in love with the sport of swimming, what helped her navigate the trauma of becoming paralyzed, and the kinds of conversations she hopes to spark about disability in the world. Mallory's drive and determination to achieve the seemingly impossible, her advocacy on behalf of others, and her refusal to give up even when things seem insurmountable make Mallory Weggemann a Firestarter. To read more inspiring stories from Firestarters like Mallory, preorder my book “Fired Up: How to Turn Your Spark Into a Flame and Come Alive at Any Age” at firedupbook.com.My new book Fired Up: How to Turn Your Spark Into a Flame and Come Alive at Any Age, is available for preorder! HR4 - Arcand spends the final hour of tonight's show revisiting the Red Sox series win over the Orioles, what took so long for the bats to come alive? Arcand talks Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter potentially slipping away from the Patriots grasp at #4 in Arcand Fire, and more.
Description: Today's guest, Shannon Watts, has come to be known as a formidable force in the world. As the founder of Moms Demand Action, the largest grassroots movement against gun violence formed after the Sandy Hook school shooting tragedy in 2012, her activism has mobilized millions of moms to successfully pass over 500 gun safety laws. As Amy poignantly stated, Shannon's work “has legitimately made a tangible impact on the safety of my kids in their classrooms”, demonstrating the profound significance of Shannon's contributions. Watts has since shifted her time and attention to empowering women, whom she credits as the real changemakers in any movement. She has founded the Firestarter School, a platform designed to help women reclaim their power and has a forthcoming book, Fired Up: How to Turn Your Spark into a Flame and Come Alive at Any Age, releasing in the summer of 2025, which explores the necessary elements needed to ignite a fire in your life and pursue your passion and purpose. Thought-provoking Quotes: When you get involved in something like activism, it helps you realize that you have all of this untapped power. And it does give you the audacity to become a firestarter, to prioritize your desires over your obligations. – Shannon Watts Right out of college, I married my college sweetheart at 23-years-old. By the time I was 29, I had three children. I have a job I don't love. By my mid-thirties, I realized, this is not the person I would have chosen to be. I was having a difficult time acknowledging that I was living a life that was not true to me. – Shannon Watts So many women keep collecting new fuel, acquiring new skills, waiting for the other pieces to come together. And we're prepared when the opportunity presents itself. – Amy Hardin Society shoulders women with so many burdens so she doesn't have room to explore her desires. If you're going to claim space, raise your voice, you are going to get blowback. After only scoring 5 runs in 3 games in Houston, the Mets' offense turns things around in a big way to open the series in Miami. The Mets scored 10 runs, on 11 hits and 4 home runs -- with every player in the starting lineup getting at least 1 hit. Their good pitching performances continued, this time from David Peterson and Huascar Brazobán, who combined for 8 IP and 2 R on just 6 hits, with 11 Ks. The Mets even their early season record to 2-2.

Here, We Taste It. We Spill It. We Leave it All On the Table. This is ‘The Pour' with Adam Montiel.__________Sincere Thanks to those who support The Pour. Please take a moment and visit them and thank them for supporting local broadcasting, and valuing what we do here. This week, we're re-airing our fantastic conversation with Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, where we discuss her inspiring new book Fired Up: How to Turn Your Spark into a Flame and Come Alive at Any Age. Tune in for a powerful discussion on activism, passion, and the power of stepping into your purpose!Shannon Watts is the founder of Moms Demand Action, a six-million-member organization she describes as “maybe the world's largest real-life field experiment for what happens when you show women how their abilities and their burning desires and their values align, and how they come alive and can achieve things they never imagined possible.” We are thrilled to have her on the show today to talk about her upcoming book, Fired Up.We talk about how both misogyny and motherhood shape women's journey to, and through, advocacy. We discuss how to withstand blowback and the discomfort that comes with growth, including celebrating small wins and “finding your people.” We also touch on how social media has allowed women to bypass traditional media gatekeepers. Our conversation with Shannon about the intersection of motherhood, feminism, and activism is one that will keep us fueled for a long time. We hope you enjoy it.Resources:Pre-order a copy of Fired Up and sign up for Shannon's free Firestarter University courseCheck out Shannon's book and other books we've recommended on the podcast in the Brave Writer Bookshop. We came to SXSW this year to cover all things beauty, exciting brand partnerships, and of course, film. But this year was extra special because Look Behind the Look had the opportunity to spotlight The Florist, a new film WE are producing and so excited to share about. The Florist written by Jayce Bartok tells the untold true story of Vivien Leigh's later years as she battles Bipolar disorder and builds a very special relationship with a local florist. Starring Carla Gugino as Vivien, the film explores artistry, human connection, and the tension between her brilliance and the turmoil surrounding her struggles. We are gearing up to begin production this spring in Philadelphia. We have an incredible team behind the film and our powerhouse producer Lauren Hale Rieckhoff was invited to speak about The Florist at the Keystone House as part of the Amplify Philly: Behind the Lens – Pennsylvania Filmmakers in Focus panel. Armed with posters, postcards, and a mission, it was an amazing afternoon sharing the film alongside other celebrated indie filmmakers. Gino Pesi hosted the discussion, which covered Pennsylvania's commitment to filmmakers, its production incentives, and why we chose to shoot in Philly. Lauren shared our journey, what's next, and most importantly, how people can get involved to help bring this film to life.
