What does "Dominion" really mean? The dictionary defines it as "sovereignty or control" but as Christians what does that mean for us? Well, God gave dominion to us as Christians to not walk around this Earth with our tail tucked between our legs, but to enforce our God given dominion in everything we do. We don't have to settle, we don't need to shy away from it, God gave us his authority to walk things out in heaven and on Earth, and that is exactly what this series from pastor Chris is all about, teaching us all about our Dominion in Christ! Welcome to Relevant Church Live, the online campus of Relevant Church located in Daytona Beach, Florida. We pray that through this service you find your place, reveal your purpose, and unlock your potential! "Dad said God brought us here because it's where He wants us to be, so moving to this house is just changing our position--like a rocket ship changing its attitude to stay on course." She landed the toy on her desk. "Dad's happy about his new job, but…" Judy sighed. "I feel the opposite."She returned to her boxes. She opened one filled with books and passed some to Rebecca. "I miss my friends, and I'm nervous about going to a new school. I won't know anyone." After Rebecca arranged the books on a shelf, she studied the titles and pulled one out. "How about keeping your Bible here?" She placed it next to the rocket ship. "You need a guidance system.""What do you mean?" asked Judy."Pray. Ask Jesus to guide your attitude." Rebecca tapped the spaceship's wing. "Not only the kind for going in the right direction, but the regular kind of attitude too. You know, the way you feel about being here."Judy shrugged. "I didn't think I should bother Him with this stuff."Rebecca sat down on the edge of Judy's bed. "Jesus cares about you and wants to help you in every situation. The key to keeping good change in our lives is to REMEMBER Joshua 3:5-8; 14-17 NIV  //  Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.” So they took it up and went ahead of them. And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan's waters, go and stand in the river.'” So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho. The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground. Joshua 4:1-7 NIV  //  When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, “Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, from right where the priests are standing, and carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight.” So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?' tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” God wants us to remember 2 things: 1. WHAT was done Deuteronomy 4:9  //  Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. 2. WHO did it Joshua 3:7 NIV  //   And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses.” We keep the change when we create STONES OF REMEMBRANCE 1. Give THANKS GRATITUDE is the key to REMEMBRANCE God is given GLORY when we REMEMBER 2. Do the WORK Joshua 4:5  //  and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, 3. Tell Others Judges 2:10 NIV  //  After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel. Joshua 4:24 NIV  //  He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God. What stones do you need to set today?

Bible Reading: Joshua 1:1-9; Philippians 1:12-20"Something smells delicious!" Dad said as he walked into the kitchen. "That's because it's chocolate." Lacy pointed to three bowls. "It's going to be a chocolate layer cake with three layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate."Dad winked. "I'm glad you started watching baking shows in your free time.""I wonder why!" Lacy giggled."How have things been going with Nia?" asked Dad.Lacy removed the paddle attachment from the mixer. "We've been friends since kindergarten, so I thought she would be more understanding when I told her about my new relationship with Jesus. Instead, things have been difficult." "How so?""Well, sometimes we used to make fun of kids in the lunchroom…it was kind of like our game, though we never said it to their faces. Now, I don't want to do that since I belong to Jesus and I know He loves those kids. I tried to explain it to Nia, but she said Jesus makes me boring." "Did that make you want to behave the way you used to?" Lacy shrugged. "For a second, but only because I want our friendship to stay the same." Dad nodded thoughtfully. "Lacy, remember when you started baking? What was the first thing you made?" "Those awful chocolate chip cookies! I over-mixed them and left them in the oven too long." Dad laughed. "I was proud of how you didn't let that make you quit. You kept baking, your cookies kept improving, and today you're making a triple layer cake! Living a new life in Christ is not always going to be easy, but you have God's promise that He will be with you wherever you go. Because you have His Spirit in you, you will have the courage to speak and act in ways that are pleasing to Him." "You're right, Dad. My baking journey took time, so I guess it makes sense that my faith journey will too. I just have to be courageous and keep taking the next right step." Lacy grinned. "I know what I'm going to name my cake! Chocolate Courage Layer Cake. It will remind me that in every layer of life, God will give me what I need to live courageously for Him!" -Savannah ColemanHow About You?Are you a child of God? When you belong to Jesus, He promises to never leave you or abandon you and to give you everything you need to live a life pleasing to Him. It can be scary to live in a way the world doesn't always understand. Living for Jesus and doing the right thing takes courage. With God's help, you can choose to live courageously and make daily decisions that show others His love.Today's Key Verse:Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Bible Reading: Psalm 27:1-5; John 16:33; Hebrews 11:1Editor's note: This story addresses war and may not be suitable for some children. Alina held tightly to Pursia, her fluffy white cat. She could see her mom's creased forehead in the car's rearview mirror, and it reflected the fear Alina felt squeezing her own heart. On the distant horizon, black smoke billowed from the bombs that had been falling for days now. Whatever road they took, Alina didn't have to ask to know her mom couldn't verify their safety."There's about one hour left, Lina," Mom said softly as they passed by the wreckage of a bombed-out shell of a building. "Are Titka and cousin Artem safe?" Alina whispered. Mom smiled tightly. "Last time I talked to them, they were just fine. They are eagerly waiting for us to arrive." "I'm glad they're safe, but I miss my room and our home. Do you think we'll ever get to go back?" "Only God knows, Lina. I know you're scared--I am too. We just have to remember right now that God is greater than our fear.""How do we remember, Mom? How can we know that for sure? People are attacking our country, and we haven't done anything wrong! I don't understand how God could allow this to happen." Alina blinked back a mixture of sad and angry tears. "I know, sweet girl. We have to have faith in Jesus even though we're afraid. Remember, we live in a broken world where there are wars, sickness, and suffering. God didn't intend the world He created to be this way, but when Adam and Eve sinned, everything changed. But thankfully, that wasn't the end of our story, because God sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from sin and be with us in our suffering. In this world we will have trouble, but Jesus has overcome the world, and He wins in the end."Alina started singing softly in the backseat. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous--for the Lord your God is with you." Then her mom joined in. Their voices lifted louder until Pursia meowed in protest. Alina giggled. "I think Pursia is afraid we're going to keep singing, Mom." "Well, I'm glad you started that song, even if she isn't! What a great reminder that God is with us wherever we go." -Savannah ColemanHow About You?Have you ever had to endure something terrible? No one was allowed to enter the city or depart. Israel had crossed the Jordan River and was now camped a short distance from the walled city. But, there was one scarlet cord hanging from a window on the city wall. Rahab demonstrated an amazing faith and believed the two spies would be true to the oath they made with her. For six days Israel marched around the city wall one time and then returned to their camp. On day seven, the people marched around the wall seven times and then the priests sounded the long blast on their horns. The people were commanded to Shout! Welcome to Day 1964 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom First-Rate Person – Daily Wisdom Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1964 of our Trek, and it's time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today's trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today's trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16&version=NLT (Proverbs 16:16)  How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!    If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let's jump right in with today's nugget: Today's quote is from Judy Garland, and it is: Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of someone else. First-Rate Person God has created each of us individually as unique imagers of Him. Therefore, God does not desire for us to be someone else. Instead, he desires us to utilize our abilities and talents to further His kingdom and bring glory to Him. It is tempting to try to ‘keep up with the Joneses' or to imitate someone well-known or famous, but then we would only be a shadow of someone else instead of the full radiance of ourselves. No one can take your place, and you cannot take anyone else's place. Nor should you want to. As a unique imager of God, you have a special place within God's kingdom. Therefore, always strive to be all you can be for God's glory and let others do the same. God has already equipped you for whatever tasks He has called you to. He will see you through as He did with Joshua when he assumed leadership of the Hebrew nation. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Joshua+1%3A6-9&version=NLT;NIV (Joshua 1:6-9) “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.' Joshua 22 (NIV) Eastern Tribes Return Home 1 Then Joshua summoned the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh 2 and said to them, “You have done all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded, and you have obeyed me in everything I commanded. 3 For a long time now—to this very day—you have not deserted your fellow Israelites but have carried out the mission the Lord your God gave you. 4 Now that the Lord your God has given them rest as he promised, return to your homes in the land that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side of the Jordan. 5 But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” 6 Then Joshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went to their homes. 7 (To the half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given land in Bashan, and to the other half of the tribe Joshua gave land on the west side of the Jordan along with their fellow Israelites.) When Joshua sent them home, he blessed them, 8 saying, “Return to your homes with your great wealth—with large herds of livestock, with silver, gold, bronze and iron, and a great quantity of clothing—and divide the plunder from your enemies with your fellow Israelites.” 9 So the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh left the Israelites at Shiloh in Canaan to return to Gilead, their own land, which they had acquired in accordance with the command of the Lord through Moses. 10 When they came to Geliloth near the Jordan in the land of Canaan, the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an imposing altar there by the Jordan. 11 And when the Israelites heard that they had built the altar on the border of Canaan at Geliloth near the Jordan on the Israelite side, 12 the whole assembly of Israel gathered at Shiloh to go to war against them. 13 So the Israelites sent Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, to the land of Gilead—to Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh. 14 With him they sent ten of the chief men, one from each of the tribes of Israel, each the head of a family division among the Israelite clans. 15 When they went to Gilead—to Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh—they said to them: 16 “The whole assembly of the Lord says: ‘How could you break faith with the God of Israel like this? How could you turn away from the Lord and build yourselves an altar in rebellion against him now? 17 Was not the sin of Peor enough for us? Up to this very day we have not cleansed ourselves from that sin, even though a plague fell on the community of the Lord! 18 And are you now turning away from the Lord? “‘If you rebel against the Lord today, tomorrow he will be angry with the whole community of Israel. 19 If the land you possess is defiled, come over to the Lord's land, where the Lord's tabernacle stands, and share the land with us. But do not rebel against the Lord or against us by building an altar for yourselves, other than the altar of the Lord our God. 20 When Achan son of Zerah was unfaithful in regard to the devoted things,[a] did not wrath come on the whole community of Israel? He was not the only one who died for his sin.'” 21 Then Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh replied to the heads of the clans of Israel: 22 “The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows! And let Israel know! If this has been in rebellion or disobedience to the Lord, do not spare us this day. 23 If we have built our own altar to turn away from the Lord and to offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, or to sacrifice fellowship offerings on it, may the Lord himself call us to account. 24 “No! We did it for fear that some day your descendants might say to ours, ‘What do you have to do with the Lord, the God of Israel? 25 The Lord has made the Jordan a boundary between us and you—you Reubenites and Gadites! You have no share in the Lord.' So your descendants might cause ours to stop fearing the Lord. 26 “That is why we said, ‘Let us get ready and build an altar—but not for burnt offerings or sacrifices.' 27 On the contrary, it is to be a witness between us and you and the generations that follow, that we will worship the Lord at his sanctuary with our burnt offerings, sacrifices and fellowship offerings. Then in the future your descendants will not be able to say to ours, ‘You have no share in the Lord.' 28 “And we said, ‘If they ever say this to us, or to our descendants, we will answer: Look at the replica of the Lord's altar, which our ancestors built, not for burnt offerings and sacrifices, but as a witness between us and you.' 29 “Far be it from us to rebel against the Lord and turn away from him today by building an altar for burnt offerings, grain offerings and sacrifices, other than the altar of the Lord our God that stands before his tabernacle.” 30 When Phinehas the priest and the leaders of the community—the heads of the clans of the Israelites—heard what Reuben, Gad and Manasseh had to say, they were pleased. 31 And Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, said to Reuben, Gad and Manasseh, “Today we know that the Lord is with us, because you have not been unfaithful to the Lord in this matter. Now you have rescued the Israelites from the Lord's hand.” 32 Then Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, and the leaders returned to Canaan from their meeting with the Reubenites and Gadites in Gilead and reported to the Israelites. 33 They were glad to hear the report and praised God. And they talked no more about going to war against them to devastate the country where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived. 34 And the Reubenites and the Gadites gave the altar this name: A Witness Between Us—that the Lord is God. Footnotes [a] Joshua 22:20 The Hebrew term refers to the irrevocable giving over of things or persons to the Lord, often by totally destroying them. Joshua 23 (NIV) Joshua's Farewell to the Leaders 1 After a long time had passed and the Lord had given Israel rest from all their enemies around them, Joshua, by then a very old man, 2 summoned all Israel—their elders, leaders, judges and officials—and said to them: “I am very old. 3 You yourselves have seen everything the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the Lord your God who fought for you. 4 Remember how I have allotted as an inheritance for your tribes all the land of the nations that remain—the nations I conquered—between the Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 The Lord your God himself will push them out for your sake. He will drive them out before you, and you will take possession of their land, as the Lord your God promised you. 6 “Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left. 7 Do not associate with these nations that remain among you; do not invoke the names of their gods or swear by them. You must not serve them or bow down to them. 8 But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now. 9 “The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you. 10 One of you routs a thousand, because the Lord your God fights for you, just as he promised. 11 So be very careful to love the Lord your God. 12 “But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them and associate with them, 13 then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the Lord your God has given you. 14 “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed. 15 But just as all the good things the Lord your God has promised you have come to you, so he will bring on you all the evil things he has threatened, until the Lord your God has destroyed you from this good land he has given you. 16 If you violate the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, the Lord's anger will burn against you, and you will quickly perish from the good land he has given you.” Joshua 24 (NIV) The Covenant Renewed at Shechem 1 Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges and officials of Israel, and they presented themselves before God. 2 Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your ancestors, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods. 3 But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the Euphrates and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendants. I gave him Isaac, 4 and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. I assigned the hill country of Seir to Esau, but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt. 5 “‘Then I sent Moses and Aaron, and I afflicted the Egyptians by what I did there, and I brought you out. 6 When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen[a] as far as the Red Sea.[b] 7 But they cried to the Lord for help, and he put darkness between you and the Egyptians; he brought the sea over them and covered them. You saw with your own eyes what I did to the Egyptians. Then you lived in the wilderness for a long time. 8 “‘I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land. 9 When Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a curse on you. 10 But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand. 11 “‘Then you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The citizens of Jericho fought against you, as did also the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites and Jebusites, but I gave them into your hands. 12 I sent the hornet ahead of you, which drove them out before you—also the two Amorite kings. You did not do it with your own sword and bow. 13 So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.' 14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” 16 Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods! 17 It was the Lord our God himself who brought us and our parents up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled. 18 And the Lord drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. We too will serve the Lord, because he is our God.” 19 Joshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins. 20 If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.” 21 But the people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the Lord.” 22 Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the Lord.” “Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied. 23 “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” 24 And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.” 25 On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he reaffirmed for them decrees and laws. 26 And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the Lord. 27 “See!” he said to all the people. “This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.” 28 Then Joshua dismissed the people, each to their own inheritance. Buried in the Promised Land 29 After these things, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of a hundred and ten. 30 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah[c] in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash. 31 Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel. 32 And Joseph's bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver[d] from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph's descendants. 33 And Eleazar son of Aaron died and was buried at Gibeah, which had been allotted to his son Phinehas in the hill country of Ephraim. Footnotes [a] Joshua 24:6 Or charioteers [b] Joshua 24:6 Or the Sea of Reeds [c] Joshua 24:30 Also known as Timnath Heres (see Judges 2:9) [d] Joshua 24:32 Hebrew hundred kesitahs; a kesitah was a unit of money of unknown weight and value.

Do you still think LinkedIn In is just a job posting site? These days, it's much, much more - and John Nemo explains how to put it to good use for your business in this week's episode. Spiritual Foundations Jesus never promised that life would be easy. On the contrary, Jesus said that we would have trials. Sometimes, we may wonder if God is truly concerned about our situation. It may feel as though he’s not listening, or even that He is not going to help us. Not matter how bad it gets, whether we go through health scares, or huge losses, or business problems… God is with us. Joshua 5:13-14 says, “Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come."(NIV) Joshua was about to take the city of Jericho. The manna had stopped. Being very human, Joshua asked the angel of the Lord whose side he was on. “Are you for us?” The answer: neither.  The angel was there to do the will of the Lord. Think...He is not on “sides” of human arguments, industries, businesses, nations or even sport teams. God is working to accomplish His will in the lives of everyone. In your situation, pray about what is God’s will for your life and understand that God does not have anything against you. The enemy would love for you to believe that God is angry with you and therefore has abandoned you; especially when you see others prosper or the wicked blessed. No, whether you see it or not, the Bible says that the “Father is always at His work” (John 5:17, NIV). God is working for your good. His will for you IS your highest good. Even when you can’t necessarily see it - yet. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 Tip of the Week This week's tip is a concept that I use to make sure that I complete the important stuff every day: The power of 3. Each Sunday, decide your Big 3 for the week, the 3 things that MUST get done this week. Then, at the end of each day, give yourself the Big 3 for TOMORROW. In Donald Miller’s words, “pass yourself a baton”. Feature Presentation So many people have yet to shake off LinkedIn's reputation of a resume` website. These days, it can be a powerful tool from getting clients. My friend John Nemo literally wrote the book on using LinkedIn to generate revenue. It's called LinkedIn Riches and you can get it for free right here. John gave me a live demonstration of The Nemo Method and, as many genius things are, it's dead simple! You can get the in-depth version in John's book, but the nutshell version is this: You find someone that you feel could benefit from your services and introduce yourself - Not bulk email...not a link to a lead page... Just a simple formula for an introduction and a pitch straight to their inbox. LinkedIn has not only made it easy to get in someone's inbox, but they've also provided powerful tools to really make a personal connection - like dropping a quick video introduction in their inbox. As I said, the book will take you on the deep dive, so be sure and grab it - AND John's other resources for online marketing can be found right here. Deuteronomy 31:1-9 (NIV) Joshua to Succeed Moses 31 Then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel: 2 “I am now a hundred and twenty years old and I am no longer able to lead you. The Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.’ 3 The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross over ahead of you, as the Lord said. 4 And the Lord will do to them what he did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, whom he destroyed along with their land. 5 The Lord will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you. 6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” 7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. 8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Public Reading of the Law 9 So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.

At this the hearts of the people melted in fear and became like water. Joshua 7:5 (NIV) Joshua said, “Why have you brought us trouble? Today the Lord will bring you trouble!” So […]

(Acts 17:26) (GNT) From one human being he created all races of people and made them live throughout the whole earth. He himself fixed beforehand the exact times and the limits of the places where they would live. (Acts 17:27) (GNT) He did this so that they would look for him, and perhaps find him as they felt around for him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us;   Title of Message: #onemore   (Joshua 3:2-4) (NIV) After three days the officers went throughout the camp,  giving orders to the people: “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it.”   (Joshua 3:6) (NIV) Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.” So they took it up and went ahead of them.   (Joshua 3:7-8) (NIV) And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan's waters, go and stand in the river.'”   (Joshua 3:9-10) (NIV) Joshua said to the Israelites, “Come here and listen to the words of the Lord your God. This is how you will know that the living God is among you and that he will certainly drive out before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites and Jebusites.   (Joshua 3:14-15) (NIV) So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them.  Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest.   (Joshua 3:15-16) (NIV) Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.   (Joshua 3:17) (NIV) The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.   (Joshua 4:1-3) (NIV) When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua,  “Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, from right where the priests are standing, and carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight.”   (Joshua 4:5-7) (NIV) Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?'  tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”   (Joshua 3:2) (NIV) “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. (Acts 2:42-44) (NIV) They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.  All the believers were together and had everything in common.   (Acts 2:45) (NIV) They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.   (Acts 2:47) (NIV) And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
