The Growth Mindset in a Christian Context Paul challenged believers to put effort into their spiritual life. Change is a part of growth and we should desire to be more like Jesus. A Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit who is working to make us like Jesus. Change will happen. The joy is that we can embrace it and benefit from working with God instead of against Him. A growth-minded believer: Welcomes challenges as opportunities for sanctification (James 1:2–4 NKJV). Perseveres under trial, knowing endurance produces spiritual maturity (Romans 5:3–5 NKJV). Seeks feedback and correction, recognizing rebuke refines faith (Proverbs 27:17 NKJV; Proverbs 12:1 NKJV). Celebrates others' growth, rejoicing when fellow believers flourish (Romans 12:15 NKJV). 2. Discipleship and the Great Commission Jesus' charge to “make disciples” frames our growth-oriented calling: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19–20 (NKJV) A growth mindset fuels the “teaching” phase: we believe learners can grow in knowledge, obedience, and Christ-likeness. It also shapes our own approach, as we accept that our skills in evangelism, teaching, and mentoring improve through practice, prayer, and reliance on God. 3. Spiritual Growth is a Process Scripture depicts growth as a journey: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” —2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection…” —Hebrews 6:1 (NKJV) “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 3:14 (NKJV) These passages underscore that maturity takes intentional effort—exactly the outworking of a growth mindset in the spiritual realm. 4. The “One Another's” and Growth Mindset Command Scripture (NKJV) Growth-Mindset Connection Love one another John 13:34–35 Encourages perseverance in relationships even when hard. Serve one another Galatians 5:13 Builds humility and stewards gifts for others' growth. Encourage one another 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Puts others first. Admonish one another Colossians 3:16; Romans 15:14 Welcomes correction for mutual sanctification. Bear one another's burdens Galatians 6:2 Cultivates perseverance and compassion. Spur one another on Hebrews 10:24 Motivates toward good deeds and spiritual progress. Pray for one another James 5:16 Invites God's transforming power in growth. Be kind and tenderhearted Ephesians 4:32 Gives mercy to those who need it, we all do! Together, these “one another's” form the relational soil in which a growth mindset flourishes—each believer both a learner and a teacher, giving and receiving grace, correction, encouragement, and accountability. 5. Practical Implications for Disciple Makers Model a growth mindset by sharing your own struggles and progress in Bible study, prayer, or ministry skills. Set incremental goals for disciples (e.g., memorizing Scripture, leading a small group), celebrating small wins to build confidence (Zechariah 4:10 NKJV). Cultivate “one another” rhythms in your church—regular accountability groups, prayer partnerships, and service teams. Teach the biblical process of growth—explain that sanctification involves trials, correction, and perseverance, rooted in passages like James 1:2–4 (NKJV) and Hebrews 12:11 (NKJV). Encourage reflection—have disciples journal progress, confess weaknesses, and plan next steps, reinforcing that effort and dependence on Christ yield transformation. **(00:00) END PART 1** **(27:00 – 5:00) BEGIN PART 2** The Holy Spirit reshapes how we think about challenges, our own abilities, and the process of sanctification. 1. Confess Fixed-Mindset Thinking and Renew Your Mind “I can't change,” “I can't do that.” and the like are big hinderances to spiritual growth. Lies need to be brought into the light and exchanged for truth. The question should be, “What is God doing? What does HE want me to do?” God empowers His people for His work. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” —Romans 12:2 (NKJV) Practice: Keep a “mindset journal.” When you catch yourself thinking “I'll never grow in this,” write it down and pray: “Lord, show me Your truth here.” Replace it with a Scriptural affirmation (“I can grow by God's grace”—Philippians 4:13). 2. Meditate on God's Word Daily A growth mindset flourishes when immersed in truth. Scripture both reveals God's power to change us and gives the roadmap. Read, Think Deeply about, and put it into practice. “…but his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.” —Psalm 1:2 (NKJV) Practice: Start with 5–10 minutes each morning reading a short passage (e.g. one chapter of Proverbs or the Gospels). Ask: “What does this teach me about God's promise to strengthen me?” 3. Pray for Wisdom and Perseverance Growth requires divine enablement—both insight and the grit to keep going. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally…” —James 1:5 (NKJV) “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” —James 1:2–3 (NKJV) Practice: Begin each day by asking God for wisdom to see opportunities for growth and the patience to endure them. When trials come (at work, in relationships, in ministry), thank Him for the refining work He intends. 4. Engage in Christian Community Even if attendance has been spotty, intentional fellowship is vital for encouragement, accountability, and skill development. “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another…” —Hebrews 10:24–25 (NKJV) “As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” —Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV) Practice: Commit to attending at least one fellowship gathering (Sunday service, small group, men's/women's Bible study). Ask a mature believer to meet monthly as a “growth partner” for prayer and feedback. 5. Set Small, Measurable Goals for Spiritual Disciplines SMART goals Growth rarely happens overnight. Incremental victories build confidence that God can grow you further. “For who has despised the day of small things?…” —Zechariah 4:10 (NKJV) Practice: Choose one discipline (e.g., Scripture memory, daily prayer journaling, service) and set a tiny goal: memorize one verse a week, pray five minutes daily, serve once a month. Celebrate each completion by recording it in your journal and thanking God. 6. Welcome Correction and Feedback A growth mindset leans into rebuke, knowing it produces maturity. “The ear that hears the rebukes of life Will abide among the wise.” —Proverbs 15:31 (NKJV) “But exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,' lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” —Hebrews 3:13 (NKJV) Practice: Invite a trusted mentor or friend to give you honest feedback on your spiritual habits. When you receive correction, respond with “Thank you—help me understand how to improve.” 7. Practice Gratitude and Celebrate Others' Growth Focusing on progress—both yours and others'—reinforces a mindset that abilities can expand. “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” —Romans 12:15 (NKJV) “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) Practice: Keep a “gratitude list” of spiritual wins you see in yourself and others. Send a quick note or text to encourage a fellow believer when they share a breakthrough. 8. Rely on God's Strength in Weakness A growth mindset isn't self-reliance; it's dependence on Christ, who is at work in us. “…when I am weak, then I am strong.” —2 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV) Practice: In moments of discouragement (“I failed again…”), confess your weakness and ask Christ to work through it. Memorize 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 and speak it aloud whenever you feel stuck. **(5:00 – 1:00)** Doctrine Today Jesus and His Present Ministry The Holy Spirit's Role in Disciple Making. Dispensational Baptist view of the End Times Understanding Theology is Important The Gospel and Ongoing Disciple Making Church Role in Discerning God's Will Barriers to Disciple Making Spiritual Warfare Jesus – Incarnation God's Sovereignty God's sovereignty means that God reigns over all things with perfect wisdom, power, and love, and nothing in our lives is outside His control. 1. God's Sovereignty Brings Peace in Uncertainty When life feels chaotic or unjust, God's sovereignty assures us that nothing happens apart from His knowledge or plan. “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” —Psalm 103:19 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28 (NKJV) Why it matters: Even suffering and confusion have purpose under God's rule. He's not reacting—He's reigning. 2. God's Sovereignty Fuels Evangelism and Disciple-Making Because God is sovereign over salvation, we can evangelize boldly, knowing He draws hearts to Himself. “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” —John 6:37 (NKJV) “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” —John 6:44 (NKJV) Why it matters: The results of disciple-making aren't on your shoulders. You sow and water; God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6–7 NKJV). 3. God's Sovereignty Grounds Our Identity and Purpose You are not random. You are created, saved, and called intentionally. “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” —Psalm 139:16 (NKJV) “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) Why it matters: Your life, your calling, and even your challenges are part of God's good and sovereign plan. 4. God's Sovereignty Produces Worship and Humility When we recognize God is in control and we are not, we bow in awe and dependence. “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.” —1 Chronicles 29:11 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. —Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV) Why it matters: Sovereignty reminds us that God is God—and we are not. 5. God's Sovereignty Guarantees His Promises Will Stand We can believe God's Word with full assurance because no power can thwart His will. “Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?” —Isaiah 43:13 (NKJV) “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.” —Psalm 33:11 (NKJV) Why it matters: Our eternal hope is secure because it rests in God's unshakable rule. **(1:00)** It's important for all of us to see the big picture in life. God IS working and He WILL complete His work in you. Daily remind yourself that God is drawing you to Himself and He invites you to be an active participant in your spiritual growth. Reject the lie that you can't change. See the person God wants you to be and put real effort into doing your part, trusting that God will always do His part. – “Thank you for listening today! -If you enjoyed the show you can listen to all the past shows wherever you listen to podcasts. The Prophetic Significance of Purim in 2025: A Call to Courage and Awakening • Friday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give As we approach Purim in 2025, we must recognize that this is not just an ancient Jewish holiday—it is a prophetic message for this very hour. The story of Esther, Mordecai, and Haman is more than history; it is a blueprint for the spiritual battle we face today. The enemy has set traps, decrees, and wicked schemes against God's people, but Purim reminds us that divine reversals, supernatural intervention, and bold faith will lead us to victory. God is calling His remnant to rise up like Esther and Mordecai, to recognize the times, and to stand against the Haman spirit that seeks to destroy faith, truth, and righteousness in our day. Purim is a call to courage, fasting, discernment, and action. Let's dive into the Word and uncover why this moment in 2025 is critical for believers to understand and walk in the spirit of Purim. 1. Recognizing the Times: The Battle of Light and Darkness Esther 3:8-9 (NKJV) “Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, ‘There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people's, and they do not keep the king's laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain. If it pleases the king, let a decree be written that they be destroyed…'” 2. The Call to Boldness: You Were Born for Such a Time as This Esther 4:14 (NKJV) “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 3. Fasting and Prayer Release Breakthrough Esther 4:16 (NKJV) “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” 4. Divine Reversals: What the Enemy Meant for Evil, God Turns for Good Esther 9:1 (NKJV) “On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.” 5. The Scepter of Favor: Authority in the Courts of Heaven Esther 5:2 (NKJV) “So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.” 6. The Haman Spirit Will Hang on Its Own Gallows Esther 7:10 (NKJV) “So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath subsided.” 7. The Call to Celebrate and Remember Esther 9:28 (NKJV) “That these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city, that these days of Purim should not fail to be observed among the Jews, and that the memory of them should not perish among their descendants.” 8. No Weapon Formed Against Us Will Prosper Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.” 9. Be Strong and Courageous Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” 10. The Lord Will Fight for You Exodus 14:14 (NKJV) “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” This Is Our Purim Moment Purim in 2025 is a prophetic call to: • Wake up and recognize the times. • Fast, pray, and seek divine strategy. • Stand in courage and take action. • Believe in the power of divine reversals. • Walk in authority and favor.
Isaiah 54:17 GNT: But no weapon will be able to hurt you; you will have an answer for all who accuse you. I will defend my servants and give them victory.” The Lord has spoken. NLT: But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you will succeed. And everyone who tells lies in court will be brought to justice. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken! NKJV: No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
"The Dangers of Double-Mindedness" • Friday Service To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today, I want to address a critical issue affecting many Christians—double-mindedness. This spiritual condition can hinder our walk with God and cause various issues in our lives. Let us delve into the Word of God and seek His wisdom on this matter. 1. Understanding Double-Mindedness: James 1:8 (NKJV): "He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." 2. The Root of Double-Mindedness: James 4:8 (NKJV): "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." 3. The Consequences of Double-Mindedness: Matthew 6:24 (NKJV): "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." 4. Faith Without Doubt: Mark 11:23 (NKJV): "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." 5. Steadfastness in Faith: Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV): "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." 6. The Call to Spiritual Maturity: Ephesians 4:14-15 (NKJV): "that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ." Double-mindedness is a significant barrier to spiritual growth and a fulfilling Christian life. By drawing near to God, purifying our hearts, and committing ourselves wholly to Him, we can overcome this instability. Let us seek God with undivided hearts, trust in His promises, and grow into mature, steadfast believers.
Overcoming Lust in the Power of Jesus' Name • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give In today's world, lust is pervasive and persistent, infiltrating our lives through various mediums. The Bible warns us of the dangers of lust and provides us with the tools to overcome it. As Christians, we are called to live holy lives, free from the chains of lust. Today, we will explore why lust is so pervasive and how we can overcome it through the power of Jesus' name. 1. Lust in the Present Age: 1 John 2:16 (NKJV):"For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." 2. The Consequences of Lust: James 1:14-15 (NKJV):"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death." 3. The Call to Holiness: 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (NKJV):"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God." 4. The Power of the Holy Spirit: Galatians 5:16-17 (NKJV):"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish." 5. Renewing the Mind: Romans 12:2 (NKJV):"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." 6. Guarding the Heart: Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV):"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." 7. Fleeing Temptation: 2 Timothy 2:22 (NKJV):"Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 8. Setting Our Minds on Heavenly Things: Colossians 3:2-5 (NKJV):"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God... Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." 9. God's Faithfulness in Providing a Way Out: 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV):"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 10. Living by the Spirit: Romans 8:12-13 (NKJV):"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."
No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper • Friday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give 1. Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV): "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD. 2. Psalm 91:4-7 (NKJV): "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you." 3. Romans 8:31 (NKJV): "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" 4. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NKJV): "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." 5. Ephesians 6:11-13 (NKJV): "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." 6. John 10:28-29 (NKJV): "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand." 7. Jeremiah 30:17 (NKJV): "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,' says the LORD, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; no one seeks her.”
Word for Today: Psalms 91:10-11 NKJV “No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.”
Word for Today: Isaiah 54:17 NKJV “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.”
You Will Be Tested • Friday Service #fridayservice #remnantrevivalchurch #rrc #tested Matthew 4:1-11 (NKJV) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." But He answered and said, "It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'" Jesus said to him, "It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'" Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me." Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. James 1:2-4 (NKJV) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NKJV) In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Romans 5:3-5 (NKJV) And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Complete Victory: The Triumph of Easter Sunday • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.come/give Welcome to Resurrection Day 2024 Sunday service—a day marked by joy, reflection, and the profound truth of our faith. Today, we gather to commemorate the story of the cross, the pivotal moment in history where complete victory was achieved, not by swords and might, but through sacrifice and love. "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" Luke 23:34 (NKJV) "As the soldiers led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus. A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him. Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!' Then “‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” LUKE 23:26-30 (NKJV) "...and to the hills, “Cover us!”' For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?” Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots." LUKE 23:31-34 (NKJV) The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God's Messiah, the Chosen One.” The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar and said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.” There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the jews. One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren't you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” LUKE 23:35-39 (NKJV) But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don't you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[d]” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” LUKE 23:40-43 (NKJV) It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away. But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things." LUKE 23:44-49 (NKJV) "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits." 1 Peter 3:18-19 (NKJV) "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said" Matthew 28:6 (NKJV) "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV) "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (NKJV) "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 (NKJV) "But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere." 2 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV) "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:10-12 (NKJV)

God Chose You to Be a Prophet - Here's Proof
Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Psalms 119:1-5 NLT And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. Luke 16:9 NKJV He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own? Luke 16:10-12 NKJV No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13 NKJV 1. WHAT IS MAMMON? And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves… Genesis 11:4 NKJV '“How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world. For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God's stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.' Isaiah 14:12-14 NLT No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 NKJV Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:25-26 NKJV MAMMON PROMISES US THINGS ONLY GOD CAN PROVIDE Cause my heart to bow before your words of wisdom and not to the wealth of this world. Psalms 119:36 NLT 2. IS MONEY EVIL? MONEY IS NOT EVIL IT IS NEUTRAL For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10 NLT And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. Luke 16:9 NKJV ONLY GOD CAN TURN UNRIGHTEOUS MAMMON INTO SOULS 3. WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY MONEY? If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities. Luke 16:10 NLT SATISFACTION IS ROOTED IN LIVING YOUR PURPOSE! And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? Luke 16:11 NLT Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV Decide: “When you have plans that are diligent, it leads to plenty.” Proverbs 21:5. Discover: “God will supply all your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19. Dream: “God can do exceedingly abundantly more than all we can ask for or imagine.” Ephesians 3:20 'They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. Psalms 126:6 NLT None of us can do everything but everybody can do something and together, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! HOW CAN YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR HEART IS? 'And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? Matthew 16:26 NLT

Isaiah 54:17 NKJV No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD. The Bible clearly shows that there are tongues that can be against you in judgment. See the more ignorant we are about things that SCRIPTURES have clearly said, the more the devil gets a foothold into our lives. Don't be ignorant or oblivious that negative tongues from the pit of hell are occasionally being projected to you on a daily basis. THE DEFAULT STATE OF ANYTHING IS CHAOS. IF YOU DON'T TEND TO YOUR LIFE, WEED WILL GROW BY DEFAULT. The Bible says every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. LET ME ASK YOU, HAVE YOU BEEN CONDEMNING THEM IN THE PLACE OF PRAYER? --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jcckikuyu/message

Matthew 18:18-19 (NKJV) "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves… Genesis 11:3-4 NKJV No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. Psalms 119:36 2. IS MONEY EVIL? MONEY IS NOT EVIL IT IS NEUTRAL For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10 And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. Luke 16:10 SATISFACTION IS ROOTED IN LIVING YOUR PURPOSE! And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? Luke 16:11 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV HOW CAN YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR HEART IS?
Pastor Helen Price Podcast -Setting The Standard of God's Excellence
I want to Welcome you to this Blog Talk Radio Podcast. My name is Pastor Helen Price, Pastor of Memphis Covenant Faith Church. Today we will begin our 1st Boot camp Episode of Basic Training for Soldiers of the Living God Introduction: In the word of God We have an identity package in Christ Jesus that includes the Bible fact that We are soldiers of the living God-- 2 Timothy 2:3-4 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Amplified Bible-Take with me your share of hardship [passing through the difficulties which you are called to endure], like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. NKJV No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 1 Corinthians 9:7 No soldier goes to warfare at his own expense--Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat its grapes? Who tends a flock and does not drink the milk? In Basic Training in the United States armed forces soldiers must be trained and become familiar with the following: Who is their Commander in Chief, who are the officers and enlisted ranks, what are their General Orders as a soldier, what is The Soldier's Creed, General Orders, Code of Conduct & Soldier's Code. They must be trained in who they are now that they are soldiers. They must be trained in their weapons (Example M-16A2 rifle) and they must learn the dress codes and be dressed properly etc. We too as Christian soldiers in the army of the Lord must be trained and know who our Commander in Chief is, we must be trained in our spiritual identity, trained in who our enemy is, trained in the weapons of our warfare, trained in what to put off and what to put on (the whole armor of the Lord Ephesians 6:11) This message is so important because we need to be reminded and to build our faith in the Bible fact that God wants us to be good soldiers in His army, so that we may please Him who has called us to be a soldier, with this purpose in mind that we may be able to stand and to withstand all of the tactics, maneuvers, wiles, methods and plans of the enemy. We must know who our Commander in Chief is. We will follow Jesus Christ. **When we become Christians Jesus Christ is our Commander in Chief in the army of the Lord, He is the Great Head of the Church-Ephesians 1:22 & 5:23 who gives us His Divine Commission & backs us as we go. JESUS IS THE CAPTAIN OF OUR SALVATION & the CAPTAIN OF OUR FAITH. Hebrews 2:10, Hebrews 12:2 As soldiers in the army of the Lord, It is so very important that we become very intimately acquainted with our God our Commander in Chief. Why is this so important God does not want us to worry or be fretful about anything-No matter what it is As we end this broadcast today if you have not given your heart and life to Jesus Christ, if you are not saved or born again, if you have not yet been enlisted into the army of the Lord, Remember that the word of God says in Romans 10:13 Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. This Day if you are not sure of your salvation say this prayer with me “Lord Jesus I ask you into my heart and life, I repent of all my sins and I do believe that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God and that God raised you from the dead. I give my heart and life to you. Now if you prayed that prayer, according to Acts 20:32 I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, that is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are set apart in Jesus Christ. Welcome to the army of the Lord God Bless each and every one of you! I have always been fascinated by the biographies of the Kings of Judah as told in 2 Chronicles chapters ten to thirty-six. The author summarizes each king's life with a short epitaph and one particular one has been on my mind for a while. Thus king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Now Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king; and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the Lord. 2 Chronicles 12:13-14 (NKJV)Rehoboam, the son and successor of King Solomon was the fourth king of Israel: his reign started off with the split of the united monarchy of Israel into the Northern and southern Kingdoms, Israel and Judah respectively as a result of his stubbornness and refusal to receive counsel from the elders. He later on followed God and his kingdom was established, only to abandon God after enjoying great success and prosperity. The pattern we see in Rehoboam's life of starting out well (maybe not really well in his case), honoring and depending on God and yet abandoning God in times of great prosperity is not a unique one. We see this same sequence repeated in the lives of almost all the Kings of Judah. Over the 23 years I have been a Christian, I have met a number of outstanding Christians, people whose faith and character I admired greatly. However, I have also been disturbed whenever I have found out that one of these dear ones had abandoned the faith or had become lukewarm in their walk with God! Perhaps, you too have experienced seasons of apathy towards God or know people who have walked away from the faith; this should humble us knowing that, that could just as well be us a few years down the road. On the other hand, there are also characters in the Bible who finished really strong despite how they started. Paul, who formerly opposed the gospel and relentlessly persecuted the church, at the end of his life as he sat chained in the Roman prison, well aware of his eminent execution wrote to Timothy: For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8 (NKJV) Paul, at the end of his life, was confident he had run his race and finished well. Note, that Paul wrote this of himself and not someone else. I often wonder if I will be able to say the same thing about my life in that moment God calls me home! That, my friends, is the challenge I would like to leave us with my message today. What was the difference between characters who finished strong like Paul (2 Tim 4:6-8), and other Biblical characters who abandoned the faith or finished poorly? Well, someone might say, the others were Old Testament characters who did not have the indwelling presence of God, but what about New Testament characters like Demas, one of Paul's co-workers who Paul writes of in 2 Timothy 4:10: Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. I believe the answer lies in 2 Chronicles 12:14 – He did evil because he did not prepare his heart to seek the Lord. The difference between Paul and Rehoboam, I believe, was in the preparation of their hearts to seek the Lord or what we might call a commitment to an ongoing sanctification of their lives to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:11 tells us that the things that happened to these Biblical characters took place as examples for us and were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of ages has come. You and I are to learn from those who followed God whole heartedly to the end as well as those who did not – what they did or did not do should serve as a guide for keeping our faith burning in these end times we live in. Let us see other warnings from scripture about departing from the faith or growing cold towards God:Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron… 1 Timothy 4:1-4 (NKJV) Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God Hebrews 3:12 (NKJV)No one in their sound mind ever plans to abandon the faith and yet by not preparing our hearts to seek the Lord on a regular basis, that's exactly what we are doing. Just like water naturally flows toward the path of least resistance, we too will tend to move further from the things of God because it requires no effort. Running the race set before us and keeping the faith to the end will not magically happen, it is going to take effort and continuous preparation on our part. This should be a sobering thought! It is equally important to remember that the grace of God is available for the very purpose of enabling us run well. Titus 2:11-12 states ‘For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.' Grace, contrary to some unbiblical teachings out there, is not a license for sin but rather what enables us live godly, and apart from the grace of God, none of us can stand to the end! Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:10 tells us that the grace of God enabled him to labor abundantly for the kingdom, rather than to slack off! Let's look at other scriptures regarding this concept of ongoing sanctification in a believer's life:Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV) Steven J Cole in his commentary on this scripture writes: ‘Once we possess salvation,we must learn to hold in tension these two seemingly contradictory truths that the Bibleclearly affirms: that salvation, from start to finish, is God's work; but, also, at the sametime, salvation requires diligent effort on our part.' But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear 1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV) Peter is essentially asking us to set our hearts apart for the Lord Jesus and nothing or no one else. He is also quick to add that in times of adversity, the world will see and ask us about the blessed hope we live with as a result of this sanctification. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you … James 4:7-8 (NKJV) Submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ should be the posture of our hearts 24/7, and it's from that posture that we are empowered to resist Satan and stay the course. The writer of Hebrews 12:1-4 instructs us to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, to run with endurance the race set before us looking unto Jesus. A note on weights – these are not necessarily sinful things but rather things that might slow us down or side track us in our walk with Christ. It could perhaps be the English Premier League for the young men, and that has taken the throne of God in your life or soap operas, or perhaps your jobs! See also 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (Run in such a way that you receive the prize), Ephesians 6:10-18 (Put on the whole armor of God), 2 Corinthians 7:1 (Cleanse ourselves from filthiness, perfecting holiness in the fear of God) My purpose in sharing this message is to remind us of Paul's admonition to the Corinthian church in 1 Corinthians 10:12: Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls; and so, I will not labor to tell us what preparing our hearts should look like but rather highlight the importance of communion with God through prayer, meditating on the Word, living out the truth we know, plugging into Christian fellowship and being in accountable relationships with other believers as some of the ways we can pursue daily sanctification, stay the course and finish strong. Remember, no one wakes up one day and decides they are quitting the faith, but rather it is one thought, one choice, one action at a time as we drift off toward the things of this world, and that is why we are all called to a daily sanctification for as long as we live in this physical body. The song, Slow Fade, by Casting Crowns and particularly the chorus speaks into this: It's a slow fade when you give yourself awayIt's a slow fade when black and white have turned to greyThoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paidWhen you give yourself away People never crumble in a dayI leave you with Paul's encouragement in 1 Timothy 6:12 – Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (NKJV)I pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you will walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of Him; that you will be strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy. Colossians 1:9-11Question to ponder: How is you heart today? How about your walk with the Lord lately?Pray for the Church of Christ to stand strong and to have an increasing impact on society in this dark time, not forgetting those among us who are going through trials of all kinds in this season.
Quick recap on why show was started. Inspired by my upcoming book Prisoner's Pardon. Book due out this Fall. We recognize the need for prison reform in the physical sense and understand men and women are locked up due to the breakdown of the family. Specifically, the missing father who is the leader of the home is not there to carryout his duties as a father. The Bible calls him the strong man. It's stated in Mark 3:27 (NKJV - No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.) The main point of podcast is to bring attention to saints those who are now regenerated (born again) by Christ is the strong man too. We are being bound up and held in a spiritual prison and now need prison reform in the spiritual sense. The pardon given by Christ is the answer for this just as it is for when we first got saved. Our binding as saints is our testimony. The enemy steals our testimony. We have to recognize this is what he is doing because he understands if he can shut us down, we won't get our full reward and that includes saving others. This is critical about this binding listen to what it says in Mathew. In Mathew 18:18 NKJ it says, "Assuredely, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Because we are bound he is able to steal from us and this effects the very world we live in. There is hope and it's the only way. It is God's plan for perfect reform. Call it a reform bill if you like. The Bible says in Rev. 12:11 ...And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18 New King James Version Warning Against Idleness 6 But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which [a]he received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you; 8 nor did we eat anyone’s bread [b]free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, 9 not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us. 10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. 12 Now those who are such we command and [c]exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. 13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. 14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this [d]epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet do not count him as an enemy, but [e]admonish him as a brother. Benediction 16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. 17 The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every [f]epistle; so I write. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Under authority John 5:30 (NKJV) “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. John 6:38 (NKJV) “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 7:28 (NKJV) Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. John 4:34 (NKJV) Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. John 5:23 (NKJV) “that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 5:24 (NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:30 (NKJV) “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. John 5:36 (NKJV) “But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish--the very works that I do--bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. John 5:37 (NKJV) “And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. John 5:38 (NKJV) “But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. John 6:29 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” John 6:38 (NKJV) “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 6:39 (NKJV) “This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. John 6:40 (NKJV) “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:44 (NKJV) “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:57 (NKJV) “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. John 7:16 (NKJV) Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. John 7:18 (NKJV) “He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. John 7:28 (NKJV) Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. John 7:29 (NKJV) “But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.” John 7:33 (NKJV) Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and [then] I go to Him who sent Me. John 8:16 (NKJV) “And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I [am] with the Father who sent Me. John 8:18 (NKJV) “I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.” John 8:26 (NKJV) “I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.” John 8:29 (NKJV) “And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” John 8:42 (NKJV) Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. John 9:4 (NKJV) “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; [the] night is coming when no one can work. John 11:42 (NKJV) “And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said [this,] that they may believe that You sent Me.” John 12:44 (NKJV) Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. John 12:45 (NKJV) “And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. John 12:49 (NKJV) “For I have not spoken on My own [authority;] but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. John 13:20 (NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” John 14:24 (NKJV) “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. John 15:21 (NKJV) “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. John 16:5 (NKJV) “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ John 17:3 (NKJV) “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:8 (NKJV) “For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received [them,] and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. John 17:18 (NKJV) “As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. John 17:21 (NKJV) “that they all may be one, as You, Father, [are] in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:23 (NKJV) “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. John 17:25 (NKJV) “O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. John 20:21 (NKJV) So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
Faith-Filled Prayer of Personal Protection Deeply rooted in Scripture Father, Your word says in Ephesians 2:19 (CJB) “So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers. On the contrary, you are fellow-citizens with God’s people and members of God’s family.” I’m thankful to know that, as a Christian, I am legitimately part of your family, and have a standing invitation according to Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) - “So let us come boldly [confidently, unashamedly] to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Your word also says that the reason I can “boldly” come to God, no matter how I feel or what I’m facing today, is that Jesus has already qualified me to come to you according to II Corinthians 5:21 (NLT) which says, “For He (that’s You, Father) made Him who knew no sin (that’s Jesus) to be sin for us (that’s me, and anyone else who is born again), that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Father, Your word says in Ephesians 1:3 (NLT) - “All praise [belongs] to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has [already] blessed us [His children] with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” Those blessings are spelled out to me through the promises that You made in Your word, and according to I Corinthians 1:20 (NLT) - “all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.” Father, based on those scriptures that I have already mentioned, I am coming to you today to receive protection from all that is happening in the world around me, from the Coronavirus, to any/all of the effects that can results from it’s impact. Your word says in Philippians 4:6 (ESV) - “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Because of this, I refuse to be anxious or worried about anything. Fear and anxiety may come, but I will not let it settle in. Instead, I will bring everything to you in prayer, and make sure that all of my requests are covered with thanksgiving because I believe that You love me, and will keep Your promises to me. Your word also says in 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV), “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” So I thank You Lord that I do not, and will not, have a spirit of fear, but of power (as in the access to your promises and provision, as well as the God-given” right to access them) and of love (as in, because I have chosen to place my confidence in You, I will maintain a warm, self-less attitude and approach as I walk through this time) and of a sound mind (as in, because my trust is in the Lord, I have the ability to make wise and balanced decisions). Father, Your word also says in Isaiah 41:10 (GNB) - “Do not be afraid— I am with you! I am your God—let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.” So in the name of Jesus, I declare that You are not just God, but you are my God! You will make me strong, and You will help me. And regardless what happens, You will protect me and save me. And Your word says in Psalm 46:1–2 (NKJV) - “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” Therefore I thank You that You are my refuge and my strength. You are right here next to me, as a very present help in trouble. Even if the whole earth is comes apart at the seams, and is completely removed, and even if every mountain is thrown into the ocean, I refuse to fear because You are right here with me. Your word also says in Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) - “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.” Father, based on this scripture, I declare in the name of Jesus that nothing (and You mean “nothing”) that tries to hurt me in any way will succeed, and every negative word that is spoken in disagreement with Your promises to me, including those that are spoken to judge or disqualify me - I reject those words, and cast them aside. Such words will not come to pass. This divine protection is part of my inheritance as a servant of the Lord, and my righteousness (my worthiness to experience this protection) comes from You, the final authority, because of what Jesus has done. Your word also says in Luke 10:19 (NKJV), “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” So I thank You Lord that nothing (not one single thing) shall in any way, shape, or form hurt me because You have given me the authority to use the name of Jesus to trample on any/every kind of evil spirit that would try to manipulate my thoughts or emotions away from Your word, and over any/all other power that the enemy might try and use. And Your word says in Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV), “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” So I thank You Lord that because Jesus was wounded to pay for my wrongdoings, bruised to pay for my unhealthy and immoral vices, and endured severe punishment to purchase my peace - I am loved and accepted by You. And, because Jesus was willingly and brutally scourged to provide me with health and healing, I confidently declare that “by His stripes I am healed.” Father, when I consider all that I’ve already covered, Your word directs my response in Psalm 103:2–3 (NKJV) to - “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.” Therefore, I choose to bless You from the depths of my soul, and commit to You that I will not forget all Your benefits, particularly those that I need right now - Confidence that You really have forgiven all of my iniquities, and that You have, and will continue to heal all of my diseases. And now, Father, based on the faith and confidence that I am placing in Your word, I consider myself an heir of the blessing of Abraham because of all that Jesus Christ, my Savior, provided, and I personalize every promise in the following chapter, receiving it as mine by faith, praying it over myself and those that I love. According to PSALM 91 (NKJV modified) I declare that, 1 I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” 3Surely He shall deliver me from [secret traps] and from [destructive diseases]. 4He shall cover me with His feathers and under His wings I shall take refuge. His truth shall be my shield and [armor]. 5I shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the [attack that happens] by day, 6 nor of the [disease that creeps around] in darkness, nor of the destruction that [wreaks havoc] at noon. 7A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come near me. 8 Only with my eyes shall I look and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because I have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, my dwelling place, 10no evil shall befall me, nor shall any plague come near my dwelling; 11 for He shall give His angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. 12 In their hands they [will steady me to keep me from stumbling against the rocks on the trail]. 13 [I will even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath my feet!] 14 Because I have set my love upon the Lord, therefore He will deliver me. He will set me on high because I have known His name. 15 I shall call upon Him and He will answer me. He will be with me in trouble. He will deliver me and honor me. 16 With long life He will satisfy me and show me His salvation.

Are you feeling fearful today? There is so much going on in this world that can cause us to experience fear. But what is it that we are afraid of? And what does God's word say about those fears? Are you fearful of 'not having enough?' With all the media reports about our economy, are you feeling fearful about not having enough? God's word says ... The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. Psalm 23:1 TPT And in Matthew 6:31-33 So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Matthew 6:31-33 TPT I know sometimes it can be really hard to believe the truth in this scripture, but I encourage you to meditate on it and ask God to give you faith to believe it. Are you fearful of anxiety overtaking you? Are you feeling fearful, that you are loosing your grip on reality, that anxiety is taking over? God's word says ... He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. Psalm 23:2-3 TPT And remember Jesus left us with His peace ... Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 NIV Are you fearful of loneliness? Are you fearful of being alone and having to face things by yourself? God's word says ... Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near. Psalm 23:4 TPT God tells us He is always with us. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV Are you feeling fearful of the enemy? Are you feeling surrounded and powerless? God's word says ... You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows. Psalm 23:5 TPT You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you. 2 Chronicles 2:17 NKJV Just a note about 'positioning' ourselves. I can think of at least four ways we can position ourselves well today .... In God's Word In worship - having an attitude of worshipping God Having quiet time with God In the company of believers Are you fearful about the future? Are you feeling fearful about the future? God's word says ... So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you! Psalm 23:6 TPT Our God has the victory, and we are more than overcomers in Jesus Name. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 NKJV No more fear in Jesus Name. Our eternal destiny is heaven. AMEN! So while it is important to be aware of what is happening in this world, let's always remember to keep reading God's word, meditating on it and declaring His promises. Show Notes ~~~ Please be sure to listen at minute 21:54...I share some honest stuff that I don't want anyone to miss (also at the very end of the show notes below) Psalm 33:16&18 (NIV) - No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. - But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His unfailing love. What's true for the prince is true for the pauper when it comes to Biblical truth. God is not a respecter or persons. The Word of God offers this proof: Romans 2:11 (NIV) - For God does not show favoritism. Acts 10:34 (KJV) - Then Peter opened his mouth and said, "Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons." God doesn't show partiality. He will not respect one person over another person - He just won't do that! So regarding our verses from Psalm 33, let me say once again that what is true for the prince is true for the pauper in God's kingdom. Isaiah 54:17 tells us that no weapon formed against us will prosper...it doesn't say the weapons won't form against us, but it does promise those weapons will not prosper against us. Those are two very different things, for which I am so thankful! (The Amplified Bible phrases it like this - "no weapon formed against you will succeed.") Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) - "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me," says the LORD. TRUTH BOMB: Do you fear the Lord? What does "fear of the Lord" really mean? God tells us over and over again in His Word not to be afraid...and yet He also tells us we are to fear Him. How do these two fit together? (see Deuteronomy 31:8 & Romans 8:28 & Isaiah 43:1 & 1 John 4:18) Fear of the Lord involves a sense of awe, magnifying God for who He truly is, revering Him, respecting Him, obeying Him and trusting Him, acknowledging that He is Sovereign. Proverbs 9:10 (AMP) - The (reverent) fear of the LORD (that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome) is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom (its starting point and its essence). And the knowledge of the Holy ONe is understanding and spiritual insight. When we look at fear of the Lord as a way to honor, revere, esteem, glorify Him it turns our typical definition of fear on its head. Here's a question for you: Does that definition of fear of the Lord sound like a good description of your walk with Jesus? (not your Wed. night Bible study or Sun. morning worship walk, but your every day walk) There is a promised blessing in this verse that comes when we fear the Lord. Our fear of the Lord is our baseline for the promise to be true in our lives. And that promise is..... The Lord's EYES are on YOU! Don't blow past this too quickly! Allow yourself a moment to grab hold of this promise. The Lord's eyes are on you! Imagine being at Buckingham Palace & the Queen of England having her eyes fixed solely on you. You're the focal point of her gaze. She is looking upon you with the highest favor & she does not take her eyes off of you. Every movement is noted and noticed. No way, no how someone could make a move against you because where her eyes lie are also where her Royal Guard is watching...one signal from her and they will handle a situation before it can become a situation. Now that is a small idea of what it means to have the Lord's eyes on you. This promise is a really big deal! And this promise is yours! I know sometimes it is really hard to keep hoping. Sometimes we have to make the decision to just believe again, to hope against hope. I pray you can do that today. Don't live a hopeless life. Believe again - hope again. ANd gain the tremendous blessing this verse grants to you today. NOW FOR SOMETHING PERSONAL... I am part of a conference for the new year, and I have 3 sessions in this online conference (there are over 80 total sessions by 50 speakers & it's all online). But I almost didn't complete the session called "Redeeming an Orphan Spirit". I have never in my life been under the kind of spiritual attack that took place as I worked on this topic. I almost didn't finish it - things have been very, very intense to say the least. I did end up completing the work and that conference session goes live on Friday, January 10th. This probably sounds "slimy & salesy" but I am saying this anyway (look, the couple of bucks I make on an affiliate ticket is not worth the spiritual attack I've dealt with so that's not why I am sharing about this session). If the enemy was working that hard to keep me from finishing this thing, then it is possibly because he has a fair number of God's children living more like orphans than like children of the Most High God...and I don't think he wants that to change. He cannot steal your salvation - you cannot be snatched from Jesus' hand, those are His words & they are 100% true - but he can work hard to keep you living far beneath the Lord's will for your life. So if that sounds like your life, please consider grabbing a ticket to the conference. By Pastor Brandon Dirmann The Wilderness Literally: A place that is isolated, desolate, and it uncultivated and uninhabited. Spiritually: A place or a season that is separated, isolated, and is for the purpose of consecration and intimacy with God. - Luke 4:1-2 (NKJV) - Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. #1. YOU WILL FACE TEMPTATION IN THE WILDERNESS - Luke 4:1-2 (NKJV) - Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. - Mark 4:15 (NKJV) - And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. #2. THE TEMPTATION WILL BE TO GIVE UP, GIVE IN, & GET OUT The Devil - The Devil is not the enemies name, it is his title. The word “devil” is the world diablos, which means to slander, accuse falsely, speak lies for the purpose of separating man from God. The devil wants to get you to GIVE UP, GIVE IN, AND GET OUT God wants you to STAND STRONG, STAY FOCUSED, & STAY FAITHFUL #3. THE KEY TO THE WILDERNESS IS OBEDIENCE & ENDURANCE - Hebrews 6:11-12 (NKJV) - And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) - No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. - James 1:12 (NKJV) - Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. - James 4:6-7 (NKJV) - But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
Psalms 119:1-5 And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. Luke 16:9 NKJV He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? Luke 16:10-12 NKJV No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13 NKJV 1. WHAT IS MAMMON? Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves… Genesis 11:3-4 NKJV No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. Matthew 6:25-26 NKJV MAMMON PROMISES US THINGS ONLY GOD CAN PROVIDE. 2. IS MONEY EVIL? MONEY IS NOT EVIL, IT IS NEUTRAL. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10 And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. Luke 16:9 NKJV ONLY GOD CAN TURN UNRIGHTEOUS MAMMON INTO SOULS. 3. WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY MONEY? If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. Luke 16:10 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? Luke 16:11 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV
The beautiful love of a mother and her child. The love of our child surrounds us daily even when it's loud, outspoken and direct... we love our children. From the day they entered into our lives no matter if it was by blood or by another means the love of a child is great. Have you ever thought about what you could do to provide protection for your child?I believe in the power of prayer and during these very uncertain times I honestly believe we should always pray for our children as well as teach our children to pray. 2018/7/29 Ps Luke Kennedy ルーク ケネディ牧師 Categories: Video: https://osaka.mylifehouse.com/tv/message/building-on-the-right-foundation-love Building on the right foundation: LOVE John 13:34-35 (NKJV) A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. Romans 5:5 (NKJV) Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 1 Peter 4:7-10 (NKJV) But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 John 4:12 (NKJV) No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. Treasure the relationships God has given me Psalms 34:8 (NKJV) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Isaiah 55:9 As high as the heavens are above the earth, so are your thoughts higher than my thoughts. How can I build relationships on love? Colossians 3:12-14 (MSG) So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Believe the best. Matthew 7:12 (ERV) “Do for others what you would want them to do for you. This is the meaning of the Law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets. Forgive fast. Release people from your judgement quickly. “Forgivenesses creates a path forwards” Matthew 18:21-22 (NKJV) Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. Encourage Always. Proverbs 25:11-12 (MSG) The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry, And a wise friend’s timely reprimand is like a gold ring slipped on your finger.
Matt. 9:35-38 (NKJV) No matter where Jesus traveled or visited, He always showed a heart of compassion for the needs of the people. In the scriptures here in Matthew, we see Jesus traveling through different cities and villages, healing the sick and meeting the needs of the people. It’s pretty evident by the last verse […]
Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel of Yucca Valley, CA February 3, 2013. [1Ti 5:1 NKJV] - Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort [him] as a father, younger men as brothers, [1Ti 5:2 NKJV] - older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity. [1Ti 5:3 NKJV] - Honor widows who are really widows. [1Ti 5:4 NKJV] - But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God. [1Ti 5:5 NKJV] - Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day. [1Ti 5:6 NKJV] - But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives. [1Ti 5:7 NKJV] - And these things command, that they may be blameless. [1Ti 5:8 NKJV] - But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. [1Ti 5:9 NKJV] - Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, [and not unless] she has been the wife of one man, [1Ti 5:10 NKJV] - well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work. [1Ti 5:11 NKJV] - But refuse [the] younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, [1Ti 5:12 NKJV] - having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith. [1Ti 5:13 NKJV] - And besides they learn [to be] idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. [1Ti 5:14 NKJV] - Therefore I desire that [the] younger [widows] marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully. [1Ti 5:15 NKJV] - For some have already turned aside after Satan. [1Ti 5:16 NKJV] - If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows. [1Ti 5:17 NKJV] - Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. [1Ti 5:18 NKJV] - For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain," and, "The laborer [is] worthy of his wages." [1Ti 5:19 NKJV] - Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. [1Ti 5:20 NKJV] - Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear. [1Ti 5:21 NKJV] - I charge [you] before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing with partiality. [1Ti 5:22 NKJV] - Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people's sins; keep yourself pure. [1Ti 5:23 NKJV] - No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities. [1Ti 5:24 NKJV] - Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding [them] to judgment, but those of some [men] follow later. [1Ti 5:25 NKJV] - Likewise, the good works [of some] are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden.
