We're baaaaaackkkk!!! Season 3 Episode 23 comin' atcha! I've got a new co-host with me, NerdMaster, and he's bringin' the real-life experiences on dating apps. We talk about Tinder, Grindr, Hinge, Only Fans, Twitter X (rated) and more. This episode is NOT for the younglings so please do not listen in the car with your kids. We do have a little recap from last episode, so we have not forgotten about Halloween. So cozy up and get ready for a wild & crazy ride.Hosts: Kat & NerdMasterMusic: The Dirty FeathersEmail: weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.com
Why is this episode called Cry Face? I guess you'll have to listen to find out. Let's just say it's been a hot minute since we recorded and I may have forgotten how to do it. But we made it back to bring you a special Halloween episode. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend's festivities - whether it be going to Haunted Houses, Trunk-or-Treating, or maybe carving some pumpkins. I do love Halloween and fall colors, but every so often, it can totally be weird, awkward or cringey.Happy Halloween Everyone!Hosted by Kat, Emmy & VyMusic by The Dirty FeathersCorrections: he's called Mac Tonight, cause you want to buy a Big Mac, Tonight...I'm so stoopid!
Well, well, well...it's about the end of September and here we are with ZERO episodes released. And I promised we would do that. My sincerest apologies, but we will get back to it soon. The cold weather will retreat all outdoor activities and people will be begging me to do some fun stuff indoors. That's where podcast comes in...yeh!Enjoy some fall weather before winter comes.
Hey Guys! We're going to take a small hiatus as we end the summer. I have a vacation coming up for 2 weeks and so we'll come back in September to restart our every week releases. Gosh, I hope we have enough to talk about, LOL! I know we're still scheduled to talk about awkward first relationship convos, but we still need to circle back to poop, cause let's face - all my conversations end with poop talk. I hope it's been a memorable summer...see ya soon!
Whether it's getting bitten by a dog or finding out your pet bird has a split personality, most people have had an awkward or cringey moment involving animals. Vy, Randy and I share some animal stories that can be funny, or downright scary. Hosts: Kat, Vy and RandyMusic: The Dirty FeathersEmail: weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.com
Summer is just flying by and with that, we have some busy little podcasters. We weren't able to get together for a new episode, but I have some deleted audio from the cringey wedding recording I wanted to share. It's shorter than normal, but still pretty good. Hope to meet up again in two weeks for that awkward relationship talk episode with Jackie D!Hosts: Kat, Vy and Jackie DMusic: The Dirty FeathersEmail: weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.com
Psychics and Mediums and Tarot, Oh My!!! Let's take a weird dive into the metaphysical world of the human mind. Can we really perceive things beyond ordinary sight? What is it about psychics and mediums that make us want to believe, or maybe make us skeptical? Can dreams give us an unconscious look into our lives? To believe, or not believe in your Horoscopes. Emmy and I discuss our differing opinions on these topics. Can the Crab & Scales find common ground...we shall see.Hosts: Kat & EmmyMusic: The Dirty FeathersEmail: weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.comInstagram: @WCringey
It's Wedding Season ya'll!!! Dust off your best dress and head out with a date (or not) to that wedding you got invited to. And start planning your wedding now, because you won't get a venue for another 2 years...or afford one! Whether it's planning a wedding, being in a wedding, being drunk at a wedding or singing Like A Virgin to the bride at a wedding...there's always something that goes along with something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue...and that's something CRINGEY!!! Hosted by Kat, Vy & Jackie DMusic by The Dirty FeathersEmail: weirdawardcringey@gmail.com
Sorry for the delay, but holiday weekend, AIR? We bring non-weird, awkward & cringey talk to the table this week as Memorial Day is usually a big motion picture release weekend. Although, Bob's Burgers isn't the big, action film I was hoping for (although funny), Top Gun: Maverick is not bad. Jackie, Randy and I talk about our favorite movies/tv shows since, as heard last week, I can't get enough of talking about them. We just barely touched the surface of this discussion, so I'm hoping we circle back at the end of summer. And remember, this episode ends our first season, and we'll head into the summer season in two weeks where we'll talk cringey wedding stories. Thanks for listening and have a great summer!Hosts: Kat, Jackie D & RandyMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Yes, you heard that right...and Yes, that is a partial quote from the movie Jaws. Because what is Jaws but a movie about a huge shark that attacks people during the 4th of July kickoff to...BEACH SEASON!!! Americans will celebrate the end of the school year/beginning of summer over Memorial Weekend, and I don't know about you, but I'm super awkward in a bathing suit. My never-nude self HATES being in LESS clothing. I might as well prance around and get wet in my underwear in public. I didn't like them when I was young and thin, and I certainly don't like them when I'm old and fat! Vy and I try to sort that out and find better ways to be comfortable in our skin and bathing suits. Feel free to drop me an email if you have suggestions on great swimwear. Email: weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.comHosts: Kat & VyMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Whether it be your first time or that time with an old friend, sexual encounters can be awkward. And as Jackie likes to call them...PG-13 encounters. We explore those not-so-sexy moments that were surprising, exfoliating and just downright cringe-worthy. Come have some laughs at our expense and email some of your stories so we can laugh at you - weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.com. Hosts: Kat, Jackie & EmmyMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms and mom-like persons out there. Without you, we wouldn't be the same...good or bad. But for some of us, becoming a mom has had its cringey moments. The part that no one likes to talk about...the agonizing child birth and after effects. The part your mom did not warn you about, or at least mine didn't. And even though we endure a lot, we wouldn't trade it for the world! Join us for an unpleasant and gross look at becoming a mom.Hosts: Kat & EmmyMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Happy 14th Anniversary Hubby!!! In honor of my anniversary, we talk about how to spice up that love life. Whether it be watching X-rated videos or going to the local adult entertainment shop, we're here to tell you very little about it because none of us are experts, and none of us have all that much knowledge. But we attempt to chat about this awkward topic anyway. So whatever you're in to, let us know...weirdawkwardcringey@gmail.com!Hosts: Kat, Jackie D & EmmyMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Wikipedia describes the social generations as the contemporary characterization of cohorts used in media and advertising borrows, in part, from the Strauss–Howe generational theory and generally follows the logic of the pulse-rate hypothesis. They start at the Lost Generation (those born between 1883-1900), and end with Generation Alpha (those born between the early 2010's-2020's). We explore these generations to help us understand each other and maybe find common ground. Hosted by myself Kat (GenX), Emmy (Millennial) and new special guest Lyn (GenZ) Music by The Dirty Feathers
What is it about family that can make you feel the best one minute, then turn around and bite you in the ass the next? Now that Easter weekend is coming to end, Vy, Emmy and I talk about our own Family Dynamics and all sorts of wonderful memories we've made, or dramatic endings we've had. Do you love get togethers with your extended family, or find it a bit stressful? Join us in this less funny episode of Weird, Awkward & Cringey.Hosts: Kat, Vy & EmmyMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Whether you celebrate just Jesus, just the Easter Bunny, both or none...one thing is certain - be kind to one another in whatever you do this Easter holiday. Jackie and I get in deep (deep, deep, deep) talking about what it takes to be a good Catholic, or in her case, a bad Catholic. We explore different Easter traditions and just might offend a few people...but hey, that's what we're all about, right?Hosts: Kat and Jackie DMusic: The Dirty Feathers
Mor-bid : characterized by or appealing to an abnormal and unhealthy interest in disturbing and unpleasant subjects, especially death and diseaseCu-ri-os-i-ty : a strong desire to know or learn somethingThat pretty much sums up this episode thanks to The Google. What can I say, we drink a lot and therefore have a lot of stories. Here is Part Deux of Drunken Escapades where Emmy, Jackie and I finish out our embarrassing drunk stories from two weeks ago. Emmy tells us how she met her future husband while Jackie talks about many drunk, sorority-themed shenanigans. Me? I just have more fuzzy memories that other people have to piece together for me. And apparently pick those pieces up off the floor and hand them over to more mature and responsible people.Music courtesy of The Dirty Feathers
Hey guys! Sorry about the skipped week. We'll be back next Monday for Drunken Escapades Part Deux!
What can I say...I'm that creepy friend. I do things that are not considered normal...I was never considered normal since childhood. I like watching Dr. Pimple Popper. I tend to smell things that aren't always roses. Maybe I'm a cannibal...or vampire...Wow, this episode went downhill fast!
Hey, we were all young and dumb once. Perhaps had too much to drink and made a fool of ourselves. 40 is still considered young, right? LOL! From college parties to 40th birthday parties, no age can escape the unforgettable drunken escapades we've have the misfortune to experience. Kat, Emmy and Jackie D recall those less than pretty times we would like to forget after drinking way too much! Part II coming in two weeks.
This will be the first of many Weird Curiosity episodes. Today we talked about sex after 60, and why asking your parents about it can be awkward. And the sex talk with your kids...what is too early, and what is TMI? And last, but certainly not least, picturing people naked. Doesn't everyone?!? Apparently not. Let's take a dive into my weirdo thoughts.
The Cringe Factor - when you've said or done something so cringey, people make that awkward, forced, teeth-showing smile. You know the emoji! From congratulating a woman on her pregnancy who isn't pregnant, to dedicating songs to people publicly. I don't know that there isn't a cringey conversation or situation that Kat hasn't gotten herself into. The only exception is perhaps the ones Jackie D has been in while working in a fertility clinic.Hosts: Kat, Vy, Emmy and special guest Jackie D. Music by The Dirty Feathers
Happy Valentine's Day to all you lovers out there...even if you haven't found that special someone, maybe we can help. We talk about online dating and using apps to find love. Things I have no clue about, so I look to special guest Jackie D for guidance. This may or may not be helpful as she has found and lost love using the apps. She is also very weird & awkward on them. But hey, we can throw some ideas out and maybe help you find that sweet someone.Hosted by Kat, Vy and Emmy w/ special guest Jackie D and music by The Dirty Feathers.Episode Notes: https://www.thelist.com/676627/the-weird-reason-why-guys-always-hold-fish-in-dating-apps/
When pooping your pants (or almost) as an adult becomes more common than you think. From department stores to restaurants to brand new vehicles…nowhere is safe from poop in the pants. Sometimes, it's just embarrassing poop-related occasions, but there are endless funny stories, some of which we share.
Let's awkwardly introduce ourselves. We share some personal stories of when we were less than impressive with our first impressions. Emmy and Kat talk about work related intros (plural) that Kat made awkward. Vy talks about her awkward first meeting with her online boyfriend (now fiancée, so I guess it wasn't too awkward). Jackie D lets us know that even family isn't safe from her awkwardness. And Kat tells us that even church isn't safe from her awkwardness.
