Seine überraschende Antwort: Momentan sieht er gar keine Inflationstendenzen. Die jüngste Zinserhöhung der Europäischen Zentralbank bezeichnet Holger Schmieding deshalb als Fehler. Der aktuelle Inflationsdruck in der Eurozone komme vor allem von außen,insbesondere durch höhere Energiepreise infolge geopolitischer Spannungen. Auf solche Preisschocks könne die EZB mit höheren Zinsen kaum sinnvoll reagieren. Im Gegenteil: Höhere Finanzierungskosten könnten die ohnehin belastete Konjunktur zusätzlich schwächen.Für die kommenden Monate erwartet Schmieding keine weiteren Zinserhöhungen der EZB. Die Inflation in der Eurozone dürfte seiner Einschätzung nach im kommenden Frühjahr wieder inRichtung zwei Prozent zurückgehen. Mittelfristig könne sie allerdings wieder etwas höher liegen, insbesondere wenn Arbeitskräfte knapper werden und dadurch der Lohndruck steigt. Die KI könne den Arbeitskräftemangel nicht komplett kompensieren.Auch international sieht Schmieding unterschiedliche Inflationsbilder. In den USA sei der Inflationsdruck stärker hausgemacht: Zölle, höhere Staatsausgaben und eine restriktivere Einwanderungspolitik könnten Preise und Löhne länger oben halten. In China hingegen gebe es eher deflationäre Tendenzen, weil massive Überkapazitäten bei Industriegütern auf die Preise drücken.Für Anlegerinnen und Anleger bedeutet das laut Schmieding: Die Kapitalmärkte könnten davon profitieren, dass die Zentralbanken weniger stark straffen müssen als manche Marktteilnehmer erwarten. Aktien sieht er grundsätzlich weiterhin positiv, während Anleihen kurzfristig von stabileren Renditen profitieren könnten. Langfristig sei bei Staatsanleihen aber Vorsicht geboten, falls dieRenditen in einigen Jahren wieder steigen.Gold, inflationsgeschützte Anleihen, Bitcoin und FiatgeldGold könne zwar davon profitieren, dass die Zinsen doch nicht so stark steigen. Aber aus Inflationssicht für Schmieding sei Gold derzeit kein zwingender Kauf. Inflationsgeschützte Anleihen hält Ökonom Holger Schmieding nur bedingt attraktiv. Es sei zu viel Inflationsangst bereits eingepreist. Bitcoin sieht er nicht als Inflationsschutz, sondern als hochvolatile Wette.Beim Thema Währungen bleibt Volkswirt Holger Schmieding klar: Der Dollar werde zwar etwas an Marktanteil verlieren, bleibe aber Leitwährung Nummer eins. Weder der chinesische Yuan noch der Euro hätten derzeit die Voraussetzungen, den Dollarabzulösen. Europa fehle dafür unter anderem ein tiefer, einheitlicher Kapitalmarkt.Wo Holger Schmieding momentan vorsichtig wäre sei bei stark gestiegenen KI-Werten. Er warnt davor, jetzt unüberlegt auf den Zug aufzuspringen. Interessanter findet er in Europa Themen rund um Verteidigung, Luftfahrt, Raumfahrt, Drohnen undsicherheitsrelevante Technologien. This week I am talking to the medium Traci Bray. Bio Traci Bray was born and raised in Clinton, Iowa.  She was 5 years old when the first known deceased person appeared to her. Although recognition of life beyond a physical existence was real for Traci, it wasn't until the mid-1990's that she began offering public readings at the urging of friends. Via word-of-mouth, accolades of her skills widened. Her clientele has expanded across the US, and to all continents save the poles! Traci's professional background and enhanced communications skills lend themselves to her readings. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Family Services and a Master's in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. For over two decades prior to reading publicly she assisted individuals, families and systems toward change for improvement in the fields of domestic violence, sexual assault, corrections and public transportation. She served as a curriculum writer and trainer for two state-level law enforcement agencies in the Midwest. It is a natural that in addition to families, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies have requested and received her confidential input. In late 2022, Traci published an oracle card deck, "The Soul Lives On - Life-Affirming Channeled Messages from Spirit", and an accompanying Journaling Workbook, both with Stacy A. Macy, JD. More recently, a number of thoughts and quotes of Traci's appear in Dr. Julie Beischel's oracle card deck, "Guidance for Grief: Wisdom to Help You Stay Connected to Your Loved One After Loss", and her book From the Mouths of Mediums, which provides interviews with other Windbridge Certified Research Mediums which Beischel directs. In 2000, Traci was filmed by the BBC for a documentary, produced by Justine Picardie, on mediums. That experience later materializes in Picardie's book, If the Spirit Moves You: Love and Life Beyond Death. Additionally she appears in the book Truth About Medium, by Dr. Gary Schwartz, former Director of the University of Arizona's coveted VERITAS program, where she served as a “Research Medium”. There's a town in Texas called Round Top. Population eighty-seven. One square mile. And in that town, an artist named John Lowry sold a single painting for $141,500. (We toured his gallery on YouTube — link's right there in his name. Watch it before or after this episode.) That's the headline. Here's the part nobody tells you: he then sold roughly $60,000 more in reproductions of that same image. Same painting. Different mediums, different sizes, different price points. One image, two hundred grand. That is not luck. That is not a once-in-a-lifetime fluke. That is a system. And the same system is what Gray Malin uses to run a 4,156-SKU catalog with 221 variants of certain images. The same system is what Wyland — yes, that Wyland — uses to sell 972 products across 45 different mediums, raising prices roughly 10% a year for the last sixteen years. This episode deconstructs the engine that makes all of that possible. Print on Demand and the sample ladder aren't two ideas. They're one engine. The artists at the top of this business have figured that out. Most artists haven't. We're going to fix that today. But first — a quick rant about what gets in the way.
