I've been so excited for this episode! I'm sitting down with a very special guest, The Bachelor, Clayton Echard in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ! We're starting off getting some behind the scenes insight in the Bachelor World, Clayton shares his very raw emotional experience on the show, opens up how he was viewed as someone who just didn't care about the women's feelings, putting on a facade for his feelings and how he was supposed to be, how he handled all the hate he was receiving after the show, the mental and emotional stress, how he's built himself back up and now lives his authentic self, Claytons advice for those that are growing apart from the people in their lives, sharing experiences and emotional scars with being bullied, and how to break the toxic masculinity mentality.

Blake Horstmann steps Behind The Rope. Bachelorette runner-up (Becca Kufrin’s season) and Bachelor in Paradise star, that is, Blake Horstmann. Blake stops by to discuss his experience within the Bachelor franchise. He chats about what it was like to be cast, film, the other guys in the house, and ultimately be rejected and not receive the final rose or a chance to propose to the then girl of his dreams. On a more serious note, Blake opens up about the mental health “issues” he faced as a result of the on-line bullying and hate he received after Paradise and just how bad things got. Fear not, Blake bounced back. Blake shares stories from his current dating life, what type of woman is his type and who “famous” has slid into his DMs. Of course, we took this opportunity to chat with Blake about all things current, and boy oh boy there is a lot going on in Bachelor Nation these days. We grade Matt James on how he did as The Bachelor, talk about Queen Victoria, discuss the “bullying” we have seen this past season amongst the women vying for Matt’s heart (Blake knows a thing or two about bullying), chat about which eliminations were the most shocking, the rumor of Katie as the next Bachelorette and who we think will receive the final rose, Rachael Kirkconnell, and if there will be a marriage proposal accompanying that rose. On that note, we address Rachael’s past “alleged racial” actions and social media posts, Bachelor Nation’s response to those actions and posts, Chris Harrison’s chat with Rachel Lindsay which caused him to “step aside” from his role as host within Bachelor Nation, whether Chris should have stepped aside, the public’s reaction to Chris’ statement and, now, cancellation, the involvement and responsibility of ABC, whether Chris will ever and should ever be back and, if not, looking ahead to the future. Like we said, there is a lot going on these days in Bachelor World and Bachelorette runner up and fan fav Blake Horstmann is here to help us make sense of it all. Let us not forget he himself has his own stellar Bachelor Nation Podcast, "Behind The Rose" - check it out.@balockaye.h@behindvelvetrope@davidyontefBonus Episodes Available at - https://www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetropeBrought to you by http://www.fiverr.com/business (use code VELVET)Merch Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Bachelor Nation’s Michael Garofola steps Behind The Rope. First things first, we chat with Michael about his recent “run-in” with a security guard. Michael chats about how he was "punched in the head” and "had his phone smashed” as a result of this run in. Michael opens up about the circumstances surrounding this run in - what caused it, how it played out, the resulting injuries and the charges he has since pressed as a result. Once we make sure Michael is alright, we delve deep into what ya all wanna chat about, Bachelor Nation. Michael chats about his experiences on the “often underrated” reason of the Bachelorette he was on with Desiree Hartsock. Proving that you can really find love on TV, she is still married to and has a child with final rose holder Chris Siegfried, Michael breaks down how he felt when he was eliminated by Desiree and chats about the behind the scenes shenanigans of being on a show in the Bachelor Nation empire. Those shows also include Bachelor In Paradise and Winter Games. We discuss both. Speaking of Winter Games, we chat about one of Michael’s co-stars, the one on everyone’s minds and lips, Clare Crawley. We discuss the breakup with Dale and the current pictures of the two of them back together (?) that recently surfaced on line. Of course, we could not let Michael escape our clutches without discussing our current Romeo, Matt James, and how his season is going. On that note, we address Rachael Kirkconnell past “alleged racial” actions and social media posts, Bachelor Nation’s response to those actions and posts, Chris Harrison’s chat with Rachel Lindsay which caused him to “step aside” from his role as host within Bachelor Nation, whether Chris should have stepped aside, the public’s reaction to Chris’ statement and, now, cancellation, the involvement and responsibility of ABC, whether Chris will and should be back and, if not, who should take over as the new host of Bachelor Nation. Who isn’t watching the current 25th Season of ABC’s The Bachelor, one of the longest running Reality TV Shows in history. Who better than to help us break it all down than someone who has lived it first hand. This is the Behind The Velvet Rope Podcast after all and that is how we do it, first hand all day, every day. Enter Kendall Long, former Bachelor Season 22 and Bachelor in Paradise Season 5 contestant. First we catch up with Kendall finding out everything she has been up to since looking for love and roses on national TV. Speaking of looking for love on national TV, Kendall chats about former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk, Jr. who was supposed to be her “Knight In Shining Armor”, what being eliminated right before the Final Rose Ceremony was like, and discuses the likelihood of finding ever lasting love on a Reality TV show. Kendall also opens up about ex-boyfriend, fellow Bachelor in Paradise cast mate, Joe Amabile - the good, the bad, the other. Kendall and David chat about their fav Bachelors and Bachelorettes of all time and the epic last season of The Bachelorette - Clare Crawley “blowing it up”, her supposed rumored communication with Dale before the show, their breakup, and recent on line pics of their rumored makeup. Of course, we talk all things current season - how hot Matt James is, the drama that has already occurred amongst the women, the cringeworthy moments, Queen Victoria in all her glory and who will get that infamous final rose - supposedly Rachael Kirkconnell - and possible marriage proposal, mere weeks from now. On that note, we address Rachael’s past “alleged racial” actions and social media posts, Bachelor Nation’s response to those actions and posts, Chris Harrison’s chat with Rachel Lindsay which caused him to “step aside” from his role as host within Bachelor Nation, whether Chris should have stepped aside, the public’s reaction to Chris’ statement and, now, cancellation, the involvement and responsibility of ABC, whether Chris will and should be back and, if not, who should take over as the new host of Bachelor Nation. Like we said, there is a lot going on these days in Bachelor World and Kendall Long has arrived to help us make sense of it all.@itskendalllong@behindvelvetrope@davidyontefBonus Episodes Available at - https://www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetropeBrought to you by Care Of https://takecareof.com (Enter Code velvet50) Merch Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

They both agree they're not going to miss Cam #AlwaysBeCam, and that Luke P. is giving us major controlling, stalker vibes. Carrie gives a shout out to her brother's rugby team who won the National Championship this past weekend in Tucson, Arizona! Bre shares her latest binge-watch, Catch 22, and Carrie is ashamed to admit she's been watching Paradise Hotel. In the Learning Lately segment the girls unwrap one of Carrie's favorite quotes: "you could be the juiciest, ripest peach in the world and there's still going to be someone who hates peaches" In the Ask Carrie segment, C and B answer an awesome question about shopping local, and Bre tells us about the pig's foot method! This week we talk about the recent announcement that The Bachelorette has cast its first black lead, and dissect the weird spoilery timing of that announcement. We consider why this is an important milestone for the franchise, and why it's total nonsense that ABC actually be applauded for it. We also turn to the end of our Fargo TV book club, discussing the final three episodes of the first season. It's hard not to spend the entire segment just jumping up and down and squealing about how great the show is.
