'Twas the cast before Christmas, and I'm not gonna lie: we'd not considered when this was coming out, so there's nothing holiday themed in it and the meter just fell to pieces. What we do have is a bunch of people playing their cards close to their chest. First up, the Binars are supposedly aboard the “Enterprise” to do some software updates, but have other plans churning in their weird little heads in "11001001." After that, "Too Short A Season" sees Admiral Jameson brought aboard to help negotiate a hostage crisis on a world he visited some four decades before…but what happened last time he was there? Also this week: weird home skin remedies, manopause, and a trip down memory lane to “The Search for Spock.” Content warning: brief mention of Tasha's rape gangs. It's been a while, at least. Timestamps: synopses: 0:42; 11001001: 13:06; Too Short a Season: 43:58

Good Tea Nice Podcast: A Star Trek Show

In this episode, we meet the Binars, and Data shows he's not very good at hide and seek. Also, the holodeck diet! Coming soon.

In 1100101 the crew of the enterprise make a pit stop at a starbase where the computer will undergo a reconditioning/optimization by a rather enigmatic and quirky species known as the Binars. Binars are almost literally joined at the hip. Most of the crew choose to disembark and enjoy the many pleasures a starbase may have to offer. A few crew members remain on board, but are soon ushered off the ship by a malfunction which causes a red alert. Captain Picard and Commander Riker don't notice this red alert because they are distracted on the holodeck by a rather delightful holographic person named Minuet. Riker and Picard finally catch on that the red alert was faked in order to get the Enterprise to the Binar's homeworld. With the Binars subdued because of some malfunction in their connection to their homeworld, Picard and Riker must figure it out in a short amount of time. Find out what we thought about this episode in our detailed episode discussion and please share your thoughts about it with us!
